Meghan Markle is heading Down Under! The Duchess of Sussex will head to Australia next month to attend a “girls’ weekend” event as a special guest. Prince Harry is also expected to join her on the trip, although he will not be at the event.
Meghan Markle will attend a retreat hosted by the Her Best Life podcast
Speaking on this week’s episode of Her Best Life, the podcast’s hosts confirmed Meghan’s attendance at their weekend retreat in April.
“I can’t believe I’m even saying those words,” podcast host Gemma O’Neill said of the announcement. “There’s no one more shocked than me.”
“She’s doing this because she really loves what our community is about,” she continued. “Which is women trying to grow, trying to be their best selves and trying to help other women.”
Beyond the podcast, the hosts also made an announcement on Instagram. “We are beyond excited to announce that @meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will be joining us as the special guest at the Her Best Life Retreat!” the caption read. “This is going to be an unforgettable weekend designed for women who want to reconnect, recharge, laugh, learn, and have some serious fun.”
“This is truly incredible,” someone said in response to the announcement. “Beyond excited for this,” another person replied. “This is big!” added a third.
Tickets for the event cost up to $2,288. This includes a gala dinner with the Duchess, a group table photo with her, and an exclusive VIP goodie bag.
As for what else Meghan will get up to on her trip, a spokesperson for her and Harry previously told PEOPLE that they are touring the country in mid-April to “take part in several private, business, and philanthropic engagements.”
