New Mexico investigators are supposedly searching the Epstein Zorro Ranch
Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico is apparently being turned over by state officials right now. According to The New York Times, an investigation at the property began on Monday. However, authorities say gathering evidence could be tricky. A lot of time has passed since the convicted sex offender owned the property.
New Mexico attorney general Raúl Torrez said there are “real obstacles” to finding evidence, per The Albuquerque Journal. But, he added, “the people of New Mexico, and those who were harmed, are entitled to a complete and transparent accounting of what we found and what we did not.”
It was previously reported that an anonymous tip alleged that Epstein had had two bodies of murdered girls buried in the hills close to the ranch. The shocking claim was made by someone who said they worked at the ranch. It seems to have been made in 2019, the year the disgraced financier died, although it is not known whether the FBI ever followed up on it.
The ranch is now owned by Don Huffines, who won last week’s Republican primary for Texas comptroller. He said he’s fully prepared to aid the state investigation. He’s since renamed the property San Rafael Ranch, and plans to turn it into a Christian retreat.
The news comes amid more revelations from the latest batch of Epstein files, including a newly surfaced photo that appears to feature ex-Prince Andrew.
