According to Gen Z’ers, Chef Ben Robinson is absolutely getting cooked in the galleys of Below Deck Down Under. Ben has not worked on a yacht in years, and it shows. Already, his timing is off, as is his patience, since his oven is currently broken. Soon, as the preview for BDDU Season 4 Episode 7 teases, Ben is about to reach his limit as a chef.
When will Chef Ben’s new oven arrive on BDDU?
Imagine working as a yacht chef and having zero workable main ovens. Pair this with the current charter guests, who have all kinds of snack-related demands, and you can easily see why Ben started spiraling in Episode 6. But now, in the preview for Episode 7, we see Ben trying to conquer his hardest task of all. He still needs to knock out a six-course meal for these rather “unnerving” guests, and since his replacement oven will take three days to arrive, he will need to think fast about how to proceed.
“I feel nervous about tonight,” Ben admits. Thinking quickly, he plans on using his fryer and “the sous vide machine” to combat his ovenless predicament. “Losing this oven is like losing my mother,” Ben says, even though his mother is still alive. “I can’t bake, roast, broil, none of it,” he sighs.
“Tonight, clearly, there’s a lot of pressure on me,” Ben admits. Ben gets to work, but as he admits, he is clearly at his breaking point. Thankfully, his fellow crew members start stepping in, cleaning around the galley when not rushing to meet the demands of these guests.
But will their efforts be enough? Only time will tell.
