Jimmy Fallon took the stage on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to call out President Donald Trump for his inaccurate, sometimes bizarre pronunciation of certain words. Fallon called out multiple such instances while showing video clips of Donald Trump failing to pronounce some words.
“President Trump has been ordering daily attacks on Iran’s military infrastructure, or as he calls it…” Fallon began and switched to a clip of Donald Trump mispronouncing “infrastructure.” The crowd roared with laughter as Fallon stared ahead with a deadpan expression.
The host went on to continue, “Trump claims that the US has reduced Iran’s defenses if you look at the statistics, or as he calls them…” Fallon switched to another clip, this time with the President mispronouncing “statistics.”
The host repeated this again and again with words like “significantly” and even “United States.” The clips received a roaring response from audiences, who seemed amused by Fallon’s take on Trump’s pronunciations.
Jimmy Fallon has been critical of Donald Trump for a long time, but it seems that the host has amped up his criticism of the President in the past weeks following the tumultuous events across the globe, which the USA remains a big part of. Fallon even started new formats to accommodate these, including a “spliced interview” segment. In it, Fallon asks Trump serious questions about military actions, and puts together out-of-context clips of the President as answers.
Other talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert also remain critical of the current President.
