
An alleged stalker of Jennifer Aniston has been released from prison, following an incident involving the actress last year.
Jimmy Carwyle crashed his Chrysler PT Cruiser into the gates of the star’s home in May of last year. The incident caused $50,000 in damages to the house. Jennifer’s security team is said to have dashed to the car after the crash and removed the driver from the vehicle, holding him at gunpoint until LAPD arrived.

The term “alleged” is used for Jimmy because he was deemed not mentally fit to stand trial for the incident by a Los Angeles judge. The 49-year-old was initially charged with felony vandalism and felony stalking and pleaded not guilty.
The Mississippi native will be placed in a mental health diversion program for life outside of jail once released. The ruling deems that he stay out of prison, so long as he “take[s] all prescribed medications.” Additionally, he “shall not leave the program without permission, shall not consume illicit drugs, marijuana, or alcohol, and shall not possess dangerous or deadly weapons.”
According to court documents, Jimmy was violently obsessed with the former Friends actor for over two years. The papers filed by Jennifer’s lawyers show that he referred to her as his “wife” on Instagram. He also sent numerous emails and voice notes to the We’re The Millers actress, as well as her haircare company.
Moreover, Jennifer’s legal team described Jimmy as having. “erotomanic delusions,” involving an imagined relationship with her. Additionally, lawyers argued the crash incident outside her home believe could have led to “far worse consequences,” had it not been for the star’s “security measures.”
Jimmy’s wife, Julia, told the court about how he moved to California in an attempt to get closer to the actress. Previously, he had taken several trips out of their home state in an attempt to meet Jennifer.
