According to NBC News’ latest report, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. underwent shoulder surgery for an injured rotator cuff this week. While he’s currently in recovery mode, which doctors suggest could be “slow and painful,” he is set to resume his duties on Monday. After the surgery, patients are usually allowed to return to activities by wearing a sling and practicing physical therapy.
A rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that support the shoulder joint. It securely keeps the upper arm bone in the shoulder socket, allowing your arms to conveniently move in any direction and rotate. These symptoms include persistent shoulder pain, restricted arm movements, significant weakness in lifting and rotation, and others.
