Donald Trump’s complimentary nature is once again making waves. Nicki Minaj has been among the President’s biggest celebrity supporters during his second term in office. This is despite the regular backlash he seems to receive.
At a press conference, Donald expressed his admiration for the woman dubbed the Queen of Rap. His glowing remarks were not well received by everyone.
President Trump was called “creepy” for his remarks on Nicki Minaj’s appearance
The President’s kindness is not getting a lot of positive attention. At a press conference, the topic of Nicki Minaj came up. Donald said, “I love Nicki Minaj.” He added that “her skin is so beautiful.” He also touched her long nails, wondering if they were real.
Online, many people had a lot to say about his comments, with the word “creepy” mentioned more than once by those on social media. It’s not the first time someone’s used those words to describe the President. In December, many found Donald’s holiday call with an eight-year-old girl rather sickening. In the call, he called the girl “beautiful” and “cute.”
Nicki had previously attended an event with the President in January ahead of the promotion of the First Lady’s movie Melania. In the past, Nicki has gushed over Donald for his numerous efforts and causes. She’s gone on massive online rants to blast those who speak out against him. Among her biggest targets was journalist Don Lemon, whom she’s uttered homophobic slurs against numerous times in the past.
Even with all the backlash Donald’s gotten, Nicki has remained loyal to him. She attended a special event for him in late January as he prepared to open a Trump account to help America’s youth. Shark Tank panellist Kevin O’Leary was also in attendance.
