Amanda Batula’s prior interview hits differently now. In what has the potential to become the East Coast’s Scandoval, the Summer House star has confirmed a romance with her co-star, West Wilson. Worse, the undefined tryst seemingly violates girl code since West previously hooked up with Ciara Miller, Amanda’s best friend.
Ciara always got praise for being a girl’s girl and a solid friend. She’s supported Amanda through the trying years of marriage with Kyle Cooke. So now that the swimwear designer confirmed a romance with Ciara’s ex fling, Summer House viewers are going back to all the footage and interviews from last season looking for clues. And public opinion is overwhelmingly in support of Ciara.
Ciara Miller and West Wilson have a complicated history
In an interview with Marie Claire, published four weeks ago, Amanda was praising Ciara for being such a caring friend. Ouch. The veteran reality TV star also called Season 10 “one of her favorite summers.” That’s interesting given that “months later” she and Kyle filed for divorce. Amanda explained that during filming, she “focused ony my friendships in the house” over her flailing marriage to Kyle.
“It would have been a very difficult summer to get through without Ciara. She is one of the kindest, most loving, loyal friends I’ve ever had. She sends me texts out of the blue, reminding me how strong, powerful, smart, and kind I am—I don’t think she even realizes how much I need those texts,” Amanda stated.
Rumors have been swirling about West and Amanda. Kyle had a chance to comment during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. And he correctly protected that such a pairing would less impact him than Ciara in terms of public support.
For her part, Ciara has unfollowed both Amanda and West. The lovers issued a joint statement March 31 confirming their romance.
