The fallout surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has followed his family for years, and Prince William has taken notice.
Allegations tied to the former Prince Andrew’s behavior and his past connection to Jeffrey Epstein stripped him of royal titles and left lasting damage. While the accusations center on Andrew, the impact has reached his daughters. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have spent much of their adult lives navigating scrutiny tied to actions they had no role in.
Both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie “have faced intense public scrutiny”

A royal insider told Radar Online, “Beatrice and Eugenie have faced intense public scrutiny due to their parents’ actions. William knows what it’s like to have your family constantly in the media spotlight. He feels a lot of sympathy for them and has been quietly providing support and advice behind the scenes.”
That support surfaced at King Charles’ early Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. Beatrice and Eugenie attended one of their first major family events since renewed Epstein-related revelations. Sources say the invitation was intentional.
William attended with Kate Middleton and their children. Insiders described the lunch as relaxed and unusually low-key. The goal was comfort, not appearances.
That loyalty still matters. The same insider added, “Their grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, was very affectionate toward them, and the King and William, also appear keen to protect them. The Palace lunch would have been very welcoming, and it was heartening to see them looking so bright and happy.”
Sources say William wants firmer boundaries going forward. One explained, “The Palace is making an effort to protect Beatrice and Eugenie from the relentless media coverage of their parents. William believes they shouldn’t be defined by Andrew and Sarah [Ferguson’s] errors, and he wants them to enjoy their family life without extra pressure or scrutiny.”
During the Christmas lunch, family members avoided any discussion of Andrew and Sarah. One source explained, “It would simply be far too awkward for everyone involved.”
