After an explosive Season 9, Season 10 of Real Housewives of Atlanta is a total snooze fest two episodes in. I still have hope though- that trailer for Season 10 really did look lit. Clearly, we haven’t reached any of those juicy moments since the most wild thing to happen during episode 2 was Cynthia Bailey’s (completely unnecessary) bath tub session. It was giving me flashbacks to Tamra Judge on RHOC.
Cynthia also went on a date with a much younger guy that she compared to Norbit- which was super awkward, and not in an entertaining sort of way. Other than that, we saw Kenya Moore crying about the state of her marriage and the media speculation (already).
Cynthia discussed the episode in her Bravo blog. Cynthia wrote, “I really enjoyed my date with Evan once I got past the chickens and the blindfold! Although it started out kind of interesting in the beginning, he was very sweet and romantic. He’s an amazing guy, and I love hanging out with him. We’re friends. As far as anything other than friendship, he is definitely my type, but I’m just looking for someone a little older, at least 35 up. That’s my preference.” Fair enough, Cynthia.
Cynthia also opened up about her daughter Noelle Robinson dating someone who lives in Charlotte. She admitted, “I would prefer for Noelle to be dating someone who lives in the same city that she does. Long distance relationships are tough, and although I’m happy that she has met a great guy that she really likes, I would have more peace of mind if he lived closer. The traveling back and forth drives me crazy. Most of the time she flies there, or I ride with her because I’m very nervous and uncomfortable with her driving almost 4 hours alone. I am so grateful that Peter [Thomas] is in Charlotte just in case she needs anything. He always goes out of his way to look out for her when she’s in town, and that gives me some peace.” It’s ironic that Noelle is following in her mother’s footsteps by being with a man who lives in Charlotte. Let’s just hope that Noelle’s man is treating her better than Peter treated Cynthia during his infamous Charlotte escapades.
Cynthia addressed her (not) best friend Kenya’s new marriage and her breakdown over being married in the public eye. She said, “Kenya just got married, and as a newlywed, this should be a happy time — the honeymoon is barely over! It was really hard to watch her break down. I pray that she and her husband have the strength to overcome their issues, and I wish them the best. Marriage is not easy, especially when it’s a very public marriage. I know firsthand.” She definitely does know what that’s like- unfortunately.
TELL US- ARE YOU INTO THIS SEASON OF RHOA SO FAR? IS KENYA’S BREAKDOWN OVER THE MEDIA COVERAGE OF HER MARRIAGE VALID OR IS IT WHAT SHE SIGNED UP FOR AS A REALITY STAR?
