Stevie J owes $1.3 million in restitution for unpaid child support – and Joseline Hernandez hasn’t even gotten to him yet, but his attorney has just walked out on his case claiming Stevie will never win!
Stevie has argued that he shouldn’t have to pay, since it’s all good with his baby mama and kids, but last month the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star finally pled guilty and agreed to pay $1.3 million in restitution. Then he filed an appeal claiming the amount is “excessive.”

Stevie has been battling the child support indictment for years, and has been through a couple of rehabs in the process. Somehow he still found time to make another kid – a daughter named Bonnie Bella with Joseline – even though he hasn’t gotten around to paying those bills!

Now Stevie’s attorney, G. Eric Bellinger, has had enough and quit the case citing that Stevie’s appeal is basically not winnable. Mr. Bellinger and his firm told the judge, that “in it’s legal opinion, there is no good faith basis to pursue an appeal.” Yikes.
In court docs obtained by Bossip, Stevie’s ex-attorney says there’s no basis for the appeal because Stevie has no evidence to back up his excessive restitution claim. I.e. Stevie can’t prove he’s broke and he can’t prove he doesn’t still owe that money in unpaid child support.

As of now, ingenious legal mind of our generation Stevie J is representing himself. The judge gave him until March 24th find new counsel, and if he doesn’t present the new attorney by the end of the month, his appeal is being thrown out.
Stevie – just pay the money. Dude, seriously?
