Celebrity Big Brother 2022 kicked off its second-week last night with the Head of Household Competition. Teddi Mellencamp became the first player evicted during the Friday special 2-hour episode. It was two hours full of twists, including one where Mirai Nagasu became safe because of the mon won (backward means nom now) twist. Mirai came off the block and Todd Bridges went up in her place.
Todd vs Teddi showed where some of the houseguests stood in the 2022 Celebrity Big Brother 3 house. Carson Kressley, Cynthia Bailey, and Chris Kattan were the only houseguests to vote out Todd, and everyone else voted out Teddi. This basically meant that Carson, Cynthia, and Kattan were at the bottom of the house by voting against the norm. One of them needed to win the Head of Household or anticipate one or two of them seeing the block this week, possibly all three of these Celebrity Big Brother 2022 players.
The Head of Household Competition played out late last night. The feeds returned to Chris Kirkpatrick winning HOH. Normally, anyone else in the dominating alliance would make things seem this week and target one of the three that voted against the majority, but Kirkpatrick and Mirai had some conflict before the Celebrity Big Brother 3 live feeds began. He was even also one of the few houseguests trying to keep Teddi in the game and get Mirai out.
It seemed fairly obvious that Mirai would be Kirkpatrick’s target this week. He decided to get straight to the point and nominated Mirai. Lamar Odom and other names were also discussed as a pawn. We have a speed week, but anything can happen between now and Monday’s eviction, especially with the Power of Veto Competition and Ceremony likely happening Sunday.

We're bowing down to this milestone. On Feb. 6, Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee officially begins, as it marks 70 years since the British royal ascended to the throne. And,...Friday’s two-hour live show and eviction on Celebrity Big Brother gave us the season’s firs POV (Power of Veto) competition, sidestepped the fact that Lamar Odom pooped the bed (read all about that here), and revealed what the “Curse of Mon Won” was…all leading to the season’s very first eviction. It was filled with drama, strategy and buffoonery…just how we like our Big Brother.
But First (to steal Julie Chen‘s iconic phrase), those in the Reality TV “know” knew that a history existed between Shanna Moekler and Lamar Odom, with Shanna once referring to Lamar’s ex, Khloe Kardashian, as a donkey on national TV. In this episode, Shanna confesses that she regrets the famous moment, having meant the comment for Kim Kardashian and not Khloe, whom she didn’t really know. Lamar hasn’t said anything yet – heck, he might not even remember the incident after everything he’s been through – and Shanna doesn’t plan to bring it up unless asked directly about it. But you can tell that her remorse for the comment was true.
This “donkey confession” was the highlight of the live-eviction episode’s first quarter, with the second quarter focusing on the season’s first POV comp. Carson Kressley blew away the competition and had the fastest time, and it’s a good thing, because he quickly went from pawn on the block whom everybody loves, to everybody realizing he’s the biggest threat in the house…all in the span of 24 hours. His impressive POV win meant that he was assuredly going to pull himself off the block, leaving Mirai Nagasu up there, with HOH Miesha Tate tasked with naming a replacement nominee for Carson. So who was Miesha considering?
It really came down to two options: Either the safer, cleaner nomination of Chris Kattan (still seemingly clueless in this game) or Miesha could decide to renege on her recent deal with Teddi Mellencamp, and go through with the back-door plan that she had originally been considering. With some nudging by her ally Todrick Hall (still in firm control of the game), Miesha decided to “go big” and target Teddi…and why not? Todrick seemed to come to the realization that this version of Big Brother is purposely fast-paced, and there is no reason to not “go hard” right out of the gate. We’ll see if it ends up being the correct strategy or not. Miesha decided to give Teddi the heads up that she was going to be the replacement nominee, and it obviously didn’t sit too well with Teddi. To Teddi’s credit, she didn’t go all “Teddi” on Miesha and instead went to work to try to save herself from eviction.
It nearly worked, and Teddi was indeed put on the block by Miesha as a replacement for Carson. But there was one more big factor that needed to play out in the episode: The “Curse of Mon Won.” You may remember that Cynthia Bailey won immunity this week, as well as a posh handbag-hat, but there was a promised “curse” that would befall another player too. Right in front of the houseguests’ noses, when the “Mon Won” logo on the bag was flipped upside down, it said “Nom Now.” What ensued was basically a reversal of the previous Mon Won exercise, where one at a time, the bag would be given to another house member…except this time, the one left standing with the bag would not win immunity but instead would become a replacement nominee, and would have the power to choose which of the two current nominees – Mirai or Teddi – to replace. Cynthia gave the bag to Shanna, Shanna gave it to Chris Kirkpatrick who in turn gave it to Todrick. Todrick then gave it Chris Kattan who ended up with the power to choose one of the two remaining players: Lamar Odom or the forgotten Todd Bridges. Based most likely on Todd’s snoring and not any trace of actual strategy, Kattan chose to save Lamar, which left Todd Bridges as a nominee. Todd then decided to replace Mirai, and the two noms were officially set: Either Todd Bridges or Teddi Mellencamp would become the first celebrity evicted from the Big Brother house.
In a vote of 5-3, the house decided to take out Teddi, despite the fact that she really, truly wanted to stay and play the game…a start contrast, seemingly, to the oblivious Todd Bridges. Lamar, Todrick, Kirkpatrick, Mirai and Shanna all voted out Teddi, while Kattan, Cynthia and Carson voted for Todd. In her exit interview with Julie Chen Moonves, Teddi revealed she felt the most betrayed by Todrick, but also showed her true lack of in-game awareness when she picked Lamar and Kattan as the two players she thinks might be playing the best game!
The episode really feature only two other memorable scenes…the first one was a very candid, emotional discussion about race and racism between Mirai and Lamar. Secondly, in an attempt to get on the HOH’s good side, Shanna revealed to Miesha by name the existence of the “Formation” alliance that had been started, which definitely raised Miesha’s eyebrows, but also showed just how far Shanna is willing to go in this game to ensure her own safety.
I still think Todrick is in a good spot, although we saw with Carson how quickly things change in this game. It will be interesting to see if Miesha made more friends than enemies as she won’t be eligible to compete in the next HOH. And will Kattan and Bridges finally reveal their secret power alliance that has been controlling the house? Tune in!
The next episode of Celebrity Big Brother comes Sunday, where we will learn who becomes the next HOH and who they nominate for eviction…Monday’s episode will show the POV comp and ceremony, setting up our next eviction for Wednesday, Feb. 9th.

E! has affiliate...The Real Housewives of New Jersey returned to our screens this week and boy, do these ladies know how to make an entrance or what? Teresa Giudice had a pineapple-filled pool party that was simmering with unresolved tension. Gia Giudice and Joe Gorga weren’t on good terms, considering Gia’s uncle has nothing but bad things to say about her dad Joe Giudice. Tre was doing what she does best — trying to pretend that everything was fine while everyone whispered about Luis Ruelas‘ shady past around her.
The episode ended with a major blowout between Margaret Josephs and Jennifer Aydin, leading Marge to reveal that Bill Aydin cheated on Jen a decade ago. While Marge tried to say it was with one of Bill’s employees, Jen was quick to correct that it was a pharmaceutical rep that he had an affair with.
Jennifer owned up to the truth, even though she’s kept it under wraps for years for the sake of her children. And I respect that — she says she forgave Bill and didn’t use the affair as ammo in their future arguments. However, I also get Marge bringing it up after all the crap Jen’s talked about her marriage and relationships. Even if her ponytail was tied a little too tight and the truth just exploded out of her. It only makes me antsy to watch the demise of her friendship with Tre after all of this.
Since the episode aired, Jennifer has been explaining her side of the story. She revealed to Us Weekly that she planned on taking the secret to the grave as nobody, not even her close friends or family, knew about the affair. “I was able to do it for the greater good of my family,” she said. RHONJ always has its cheating rumors and marriage problems, but my heart kind of breaks for Jennifer. She’s not only dealing with a botched nose job and the mean girls’ gang leaving her out, but now this major bomb dropped that she’s forced to explain.
Jennifer admitted that she found out that Bill was being unfaithful right before she gave birth to her fourth child out of five. “I found out pretty much 10 days before I had Christian,” she said. She was letting the news sink in while also trying to keep her spirits up for the sake of her baby. In order to avoid suspicion from her family and to give Christian the blessing of having both parents in the delivery room, Bill was there for the birth. “I wanted to go through the motions of playing this game of life, so to speak, to try to put on a brave face for my children,” she said.
Jen always makes me laugh because she’s outrageous. She says things she’s not supposed to, she sometimes drinks a little too much and it’s all in good fun. But my heart actually breaks for her in this situation. The ladies can say what they want, but Jennifer didn’t try to go the Tre route of denying, denying, denying. The second Margaret brought up the affair, she owned it then and there. You gotta respect that.

Our eyes have finally been opened to the wildly true story behind Hollywood's most famous sex tape. Hulu's new limited series Pam and Tommy, created by Robert Siegel, premiered...Rumors had been swirling since the conclusion of Wednesday’s Premiere Episode of Celebrity Big Brother…what the heck was going on with the live feeds that we were told would be on Paramount+ directly following the episode? Was it just a technical glitch or something more sinister? Many people online speculated that perhaps someone had already quit (which is more common than you’d think with the Celebrity Edition of the show), and that CBS was trying not to expose it on the live feeds. We won’t know for sure what the reason was, but I can confirm that the live feeds were up and running after tonight’s Thursday episode…and we’ll have to wait for the two-hour live episode on Friday night hosted by Julie Chen Moonves for any real answers, if answers are given at all, for the delayed feeds.
The game has definitely started now – live feeds or not – and it was evident by the amount of game play and maneuvering during Episode 2. Recently crowned HOH, the UFC Champ Miesha Tate, was busy deciding who to target and who to bring into her alliance, but not quite as busy as Todrick Hall was…this dude was literally brought into alliances representing everyone in the house, except for Chris Kattan and Todd Bridges. For Todrick, it represents just how likable and trusted he is…he could be a real threat to go to the end, if he is able to juggle his multiple alliances and allegiances. Kattan and Bridges on the other hand, have contributed next to nothing to the game other than the occasional laugh and some epic snoring. Both Kattan and Bridges seem uneducated in the game of Big Brother, and at least their portrayals thus far paint them as two outsiders who will find themselves outside of the house sooner rather than later.
But of course, because Kattan and Bridges are the easy targets, Miesha wasn’t all that interested in nominating either of them. She instead had her mind set on getting rid of Teddi Mellencamp, and it was made quite obvious to Teddi on numerous occasions that Miesha might be after her. Her fears were confirmed when Olympic Ice Skater, Mirai Nagasu, told Teddi about Mirai’s direct conversation with Miesha. Miesha’s antenna had already previously gone up in regards to Mirai, who she pegged as being a fierce competitor during the first HOH comp. But after losing trust by telling Teddi of Miesha’s plans to have her back-doored, Mirai ended up finding herself up on the block as one of Miesha’s two nominees.
The other nominee was a headscratcher, with Carson Kressley picked as the second nominee for eviction. He is beloved by the entire house, and was only put up as a pawn by Miesha. But as we all know from watching this game even in passing: Pawns often go home. It appears that if noms stay the same, Miesha will be wanting Mirai evicted, while if she were to pull herself off, she’d be able to fulfill her back-door plan and would put Teddi up in Mirai’s place.
Alliances are all fun and good, but true allegiances aren’t revealed until that first vote. The most notable of all of the alliances – and the only named alliance thus far – is the “Formation” alliance consisting of Cynthia Bailey, Shanna Moakler, Todrick, Carson, Mirai and Teddi. If this alliance is a “true” alliance, then that means that Miesha just put up two members of Formation and if things stay that way, they would no longer have the majority to keep one of their own safe…and if Teddi goes up in Mirai’s place that also doesn’t do any of them any good. Look for this group to push Miesha to put up someone not of their six, should she need to name a replacement nominee.
While I mentioned that Todrick Hall had positioned himself nicely, so has Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC. Chris and Todrick seemed to form a genuine Final Two alliance, and Chris K. also has the ear and a close bond with Miesha. The only contestant not yet mentioned has been Lamar Odom, who did get included in Miesha’s alliance, but who spent most of this episode pining over his ex, Khloe Kardashian. Odom too, does not seem long for this game.
This episode also revealed what was in the “Gala Gift” hinted at in the first episode, and it ended up being a hand-bag hat, created by the famed Big Brother designer, “Mon Won.” The hat ended up on the head of Cynthia Bailey, who gained immunity through the first eviction ceremony. The prize comes with a curse though for another houseguest, and it was made clear that ANYONE other than Cynthia (and presumably the HOH Miesha) could be going home, even if they weren’t nominated. That is definitely an “unexpected” twist and makes predicting who the first boot will be next to impossible.

Next Episode: The next episode of Celebrity Big Brother is a two-hour live episode airing Friday, 2/4, at 8pm EST. The first POV competition will play out, we’ll see if it ends up changing the nominees, and in a live vote, we’ll see who is evicted from the Big Brother house. Who knows, we may also get answers as to why the feeds were down for the first 24 hours.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 has officially kicked off. On Wednesday, we met the celebrities competing this season, and Thursday, we saw who became the first Head of Household of Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 and the nominees of the week. On Friday’s episode, we’ll see the first celebrity walk out of the house. On the Friday two-hour episode, viewers also get to see who won the first Power of Veto Competition and whether it’s used.
The Celebrity Big Brother 3 feeds started last night and they gave some insight into the house dynamics. We also already learned who won this week’s Power of Veto Competition and whether he or she used it. Thursday’s Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 episode ended with current Head of Household Miesha Tate nominating Carson Kressley and Mirai Nagasu for eviction.
By the end of the episode, it was unclear who Miesha wanted out, but it seemed like she was leaning towards Mirai, at least based on the edit from that episode. However, Teddi Mellencamp didn’t seem completely in the safe zone. The Power of Veto competition had the potential to greatly alter the Friday eviction.
The feeds basically kicked off with Todrick Hall and Teddi having a discussion. It seems like Teddi became aware that Todrick planned to vote her out over Mirai. He confirmed that he would do that unless she made a good case to stay or if Miesha switched her decision. Later, we learned that Carson did really well in the POV competition, so much so that people were starting to see him as a threat. Carson won the Power of Veto Competition, used it to save himself, and then Miesha nominated Teddi as her replacement. If things stay the same, the votes were leaning towards a Teddi boot tonight.
The latest twist that made Cynthia Bailey safe seems to have given her the power to name a nominee. We don’t know if Cynthia used this power and if she has to or can choose not to use it. We’ll have to wait for Friday’s episode to find out more details on this twist.

All in, for better or for worse. Real Housewives of New Jersey is set to give is another explosive season. Just watch the trailer. Or hell, even watch the first episode. And we knew long before the show premiered that the main source of drama would be Teresa Giudice’s relationship with fiancé Luis “Louie” Ruelas. We already know that her castmates don’t like him. When every interview and every confessional is answered with “as long as Teresa is happy” we know there is a problem.
And can we talk about that video of an unhinged Louie pleading with an ex-girlfriend from a desert island? Surrounded by a bunch of extremely menacing looking shirtless men. RHONJ didn’t show us the video, but I implore you to google it and come back to us in the comments once you watch. I promise, it’s worth it.
But despite all the red flags, Teresa is not going to listen. We all know that. It’s full steam ahead for her and that includes making some financial decisions that are questionable. As reported by Page Six, Teresa recently showed up on an episode of Watch What Happens Live and dropped a real bomb. When host Andy Cohen asked if she would have a prenup with Louie, Teresa uncomfortably answered, “No. I mean, I don’t know.”
Gia Giudice, who was guest bartending and celebrating her 21st birthday, chimed in and asked why her mother would sign a prenup. Which is exactly what I would expect from a 21 year old with Tre as a mother. An incredulous Andy shot back, “Why wouldn’t she sign a prenup. Why wouldn’t she sign a prenup to protect what she has and to protect what he has?”
Gia revealed that her father, Joe Giudice, made Tre sign one before they got married. Gia elaborated, “I really didn’t like that. My dad really did make her sign a prenup before the wedding. I don’t know I think my mom she’s so high up that she’s not gonna want to take anything from from him, and I think he would never want to take from her.”
Andy was shook and kept pressing how important it is to be financially protected. He added, “I know but you put it in writing! You just put it in writing, but of course they don’t want to take anything from each other.” Teresa finally relented and said she would sign on. But still went on to defend her man. Said Teresa, “I go by how me and Luis are present and future. I have a past. He has a past. I don’t care, and I want everybody to do the right thing because this is my home. Give me the respect, give him the respect. If not, I’m not going to be good.”

Selling Sunset is the Netflix gift that keeps on giving. Out of the gate, it delivered. It may have started out as the pandemic binge watch we didn’t know we needed. However, its continued to deliver drama season after season. And not just on the small screen, but in the off-season as well.
Seasons 4 and 5 are already in the can; with Season 4 available for streaming now. I may or may not have watched the whole thing the day it dropped. But enough about me. In Season 4 we were introduced to newbies Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan. Both show much promise in terms of bringing the drama. Emma as the foil for Evil Queen B Christine Quinn and Vanessa as the pot-stirring variety.
And, we haven’t even got to the good part yet. Season 5 brings the now-defunct relationship between boss Jason Oppenheim and employee Chrishelle Stause out in the open. I have to admit, I spent most of my watch time of Season 4 looking for any clues that they were together. Awkward set up, anyone? Now I can spend Season 5 looking for signs that it was going to end.
Hot on the tail of learning that Selling Sunset has been renewed for season 6 & 7 comes some happy news. Vanessa is engaged! According to Page Six, Vanessa’s boyfriend of one year, Tom Fraud in Los Angeles on the steps of the Griffith Observatory.
“Two souls one heart! I SAID YESSSSSS,” Vanessa posted on her Instagram account. Accompanying her announcement were several pictures and a video capturing the moment. The video shows her walking down the Observatory stairs to meet Tom as he waits, bended knee, for her. Looks like a beautiful proposal.
“The one makes my heart skip every time, the man that makes me better in every single way, the man that I respect, adore, admire, and love with all my heart,” she wrote. “You came into my life when I least expected it and you came to make my dreams come true. Our love story is like a movie, and you are my prince!!” Oh girl, don’t let Christine hear any royalty talk that doesn’t involve her. You were on her good side. Heavy emphasis on the “were.”
Vanessa went on to say, ““I can’t believe I manifested you, the man that is what I always dreamt and more, I can’t believe that I am living this life, sometimes I feel like I’m dreaming, and I have to pinch myself to know that is a dream but in real life,” she wrote. “You paint the stars in my heart and even when I think it can’t be possible to be better there you go painting more stars in it.”
Sounds to me like Vanessa is over the moon. Good for you girlfriend, good for you.

In January, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone, who played Winston and CeCe on New Girl,...The five Married At First Sight couples wake up in Puerto Rico and begin learning more about the strangers they just married. Amidst pina coladas, picnics, and boat trips, romance grows for some. But for others, things take a turn for the worst. This episode is a perfect example of everything that glitters isn’t gold. People are starting to feel a lot more comfortable to be themselves. In some instances, this will help to continue to build a connection, but not for all.
If things are heating up like this during the honeymoon, I can’t wait to see what happens when they start cohabitating. Emotions are high and reality is starting to seep in. Although many of the couples are getting along, they realize they still barely know each other. One groom is already revealing some red flags. A bride has a meltdown and refuses to speak to her husband. I can only imagine what is going to happen in another week or so. Let’s get straight into the recap!
Noi and Steve are still in the process of getting to know one another. No one can deny there is definitely chemistry between them. Although they are getting along well, there are still some very obvious differences between them. Noi is a planner whereas Steve enjoys spontaneous adventures. Right now, this may not be an issue, but I could see how this would cause problems down the road. If they can find a way to compromise, I think this is the start of something great.
In a post interview, Noi reveals she is starting to fall in love with Steve. In an attempt to be transparent, she foolishly shares her newfound feelings with him. Although he doesn’t quite freak out, his reaction wasn’t quite what she expected. When she appears disappointed, he reminds her “it’s only been three days.” Sigh! I know some may think this was a poor reaction from him, but for some men this may have scared them away.
At dinner, Noi and Steve discuss the elephant in the room. She still isn’t comfortable with his response to her admitting falling in love with him. Steve explains he wants to make sure he truly has those feelings, before saying them. Honestly, she should be happy he was honest. If he had just parroted it back to her, there is a good chance he would take it back later. The reality is they have only known each other for few days. Although it is easy to get wrapped up on the excitement of a new relationship, these things take time. They haven’t even seen the full range of emotions from one another yet. Hopefully Noi will be able to go with the flow and allow their feelings to grow organically.
Olajuwon is still failing on his cuddling skills. Apparently, he has a sweating problem that prevents them from enjoying affection throughout the night. Later, he decides to take Katina to the gym to share his love of working out. Instead of a fun, no pressure experience, he acts as if he is a paid boot camp instructor. Umm…. If I were her, I would have walked out and went straight to the bar. She may want to take note, although this is an isolated incident, it is a red flag to me.
During a friendly game of Never Have I Ever with the other couples. Olajuwon shocks the group with some of the revelations of his past. It almost seems like he is bragging about cheating, threesomes and sleeping with both a mother and daughter. I find the way that he relishes his past very weird. I would have been embarrassed if I was Katina. The next day, she voices some of her concerns about what was shared the day before. He reassures her that his focus is only on her and their marriage. I’m not quite sure I am buying what he is selling, but he isn’t my husband.
Lindsey and Mark enjoy a fun day of making pina coladas while getting to know each other. During their conversation, he shares more about his difficult past in relationships. He is a people pleaser that nurtures others, but rarely gets that in return. His wife on the other hand, admits she has a long line of engineers in her dating past. These two are so different. I would never envision them as a couple, but somehow it seems to be working so far.
While on a group outing, Mark tells the guys that there have been several issues that have been red flags for him. I’m not sure he has voiced these concerns directly with Lindsey in this manner. I’m not shocked that he wants her to calm down a bit. Meanwhile, she tells the other women she feels her husband is perfect for her and she loves him. Things get crazy when the topic of her disagreement with Olajuwon comes up yet again. Katina gets upset and goes off. Honestly, I can understand them being annoyed, but I am not sure why this is still an issue. It’s not like Lindsey said something that was a personal attack against them. I think Katina is taking the whole stand by your man a little too serious. Lindsey and Mark both have apologized; maybe it’s time to let it go.
During a romantic dinner, Mark voices some of his concerns with Lindsey. He has decided he would prefer to move slowly and not rush through an already accelerated process. By the look on her face, she is not feeling this conversation. When she asks for clarity, he says he doesn’t want to be too “lovey dovey”. Yikes! Lindsey does not take this news well and shares all the things he should stop doing as well. Did we really need to know that he clogs up toilets and farts in front of her? It’s obvious she feels blindsided before storming off. Whew, I don’t know where things are going to go from here. I wish he would have shared his concerns before they had sex. I think once you go there; it’s hard to go backwards.
When they arrive back at the hotel, Lindsey is furious that Mark chose a romantic date to tell her these things. Apparently, he had been very complimentary of her and their relationship all day until that evening. Personally, I think he isn’t a confrontational person and he doesn’t like that she is forcing him into these situations, at times. I know many people may not agree, but I feel bad for Lindsey. She went from having a disagreement with Katina to now being told that her husband wants to take a step back. I don’t think she has bad intentions; she just may not be accustomed to boundaries.
Alyssa and Chris are actually attempting to spend time with one another for the first time during their honeymoon. They paddleboard and seem to have a good time. But things go downhill fast, when they talk on the beach afterward. Alyssa claims she just wants to have peace, despite the experts “not doing a good job” matching them. In fact, she mentions seeing a psychic before the experiment. She was told the physical characteristics of her husband and of course none of them resemble Chris. Sigh! The only mistake the experts made was allowing this superficial and rude woman on the show. She doesn’t have to be immediately attracted to him, but it’s clear she isn’t even open to getting to know him.
Alyssa has another meltdown while speaking to producers because she feels forced to spend time with Chris. After sobbing and blaming her mother for suggesting to be nice to her husband, she demands they keep him away from her. Are you freaking kidding me? This behavior is not only abusive, it is just plain cruel! Why sign up to marry a stranger if you are going to treat the experience like a Tinder date? At this point, I just want them to send her home and stop filming her. The way she is treating this poor guy is disgusting.
Jasmina doesn’t seem to be able to forget Michael’s sister comments that he can be negative and overthink at times. She believes she is already seeing instances of it in their marriage. Michael attributes all of the loss he has experienced in life for why he thinks this way. Over the years, he has learned to process things alone and expect the worst at times. Jasmina worries that this issue will prevent him from fully being in the moment with her.
In a post interview, Jasmina shares that she and Michael had their first dispute regarding something that was said on the boat with the group. He asked her to apologize for cutting him off while he was talking. Huh? She is confused by his by his accusations and tone when she doesn’t even feel she cut him off. We don’t hear anything from Michael about the situation, so it hard to try to piece together the full picture of what happened.
Later, Michael plans a romantic dinner to try to ease some of the tension from their argument earlier. He asks about her expectations of him as a husband and she asks for respect. Honestly, this argument is very stupid.. Based on the footage that was shown, she appears to give her opinion when he stopped talking. Maybe he was pausing, but it doesn’t seem like she just rudely cut him off. I guess he wanted an apology and she only offered “I’m sorry you feel that way.” These two definitely need to work on their communication. Not everything is worth bringing up. But I can understand how she would be annoyed by that conversation. Honestly, I don’t understand why he mentioned it unless she was doing it repeatedly. Thankfully, he realizes the situation wasn’t worth it and says he will work on his delivery in the future.

It’s been two whole weeks since they were last on the air, but The Real Housewives of Orange County are still in San Jose del Cabo. And guess what? The temperatures on the vacation may have been unbearable for the women thus far, but the drama is only just heating up. And in fact, the temperatures are going to get even hotter, too. Because the sensible thing to do when you’re already on a summertime vacation in Mexico is to jump into a sweat lodge. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, now…
Instead, let’s start things off right where we left the ladies two weeks ago, shall we? In the middle of dinner listening to Noella Bergener make every single moment about herself. Gina Kirschenheiter went into this trip agreeing to be the Noella wrangler. So far, it’s been about an hour and she’s already sick of her job responsibilities. Not even a chilled dessert shot can rein the newbie’s chaotic — and perpetually dissatisfied — attitude in. Good luck Gina! This is the job you volunteered for, sister.
Meanwhile, back in Orange County, Terry Dubrow has organized a guys night out at Driftwood Kitchen in Laguna Beach. Probably in the hopes of replicating the patented Househusband magic demonstrated on other franchises. But when you stop and consider the group of husbands and boyfriends, it’s a pretty wildly, uh, disparate group. What do Dr. Dubrow, Shane Simpson, Travis Mullen and John Janssen really have in common? None of these men would likely ever socialize together in any capacity away from the eye of Bravo’s cameras. (It seems a shirtless Ryne Armstrong didn’t get an invite to the party.) But at least bouncing between the two meals gives us insight into the fact that Shannon Beador will never, ever have a threesome…
Naturally, Noella manages to hijack the conversation away from Shannon‘s relationship. First by raving about how she’s ready to be christened “Aunty Psychopants” to Shannon’s girls — whom, for the record, she hasn’t even met yet. And then by, of course, finding something wrong with every single thing Heather Dubrow does. Even harmlessly checking to see how Gina‘s feeling on her way to the bathroom gives Noella made-up ammunition to find fault in Fancy Pants.
However, when she’s trying to force a deep moment with Shannon, Noella doesn’t take kindly to Emily Simpson and Gina‘s drunken antics. In her confessional she refers to them as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, but at the table she simply labels them as “children.” This, of course, prompts the more-than-tipsy and now irritated BFFS to walk away from the table. So by the time Heather and Dr. Jen Armstrong get back from el bañjo, the evening has devolved into a petty tiff with Noella on one side and Gina on the other.
The next morning, the ‘Wives try to hit the reset by dividing into groups. While Heather takes Shannon and Dr. Jen to look at potential lots and properties to inspire her future vacation home, Gina, Emily and Noella head to a sweat lodge for a much-needed healing ceremony. There’s a certain element of mysticism involved in a genuine sweat lodge ceremony. And its cleansing effect impacts all three women deeply. Maybe even more deeply than any of them anticipated. Before they know it, Emily and Noella are both sobbing as tidal waves of emotion come to the surface. And caught between them, Gina’s empathic nature only adds to the heaviness as she takes both her friends’ emotions on.
But then, something so deeply spiritual quickly transforms into something genuinely dangerous. Amid the outpouring of grief and sadness, Noella says she’s starting to feel dizzy. Though cameras aren’t inside the sweat lodge, we can hear her retching as Emily breaks the fourth wall, calling to producers off-camera to get Noella out of the lodge. Like, STAT. The next few moments become frighteningly chaotic as an unconsciously Noella is physically carried to safety by producers. Gina and Emily come running out behind her dripping wet and soaked in sweat. Thankfully, the newbie is revived quickly and no major damage is done. But all three ‘Wives are left stupefied by what they just experienced together during the sweat lodge ceremony.
Also having a bit of a medical issue is Dr. Jen. Turns out traipsing around Cabo all day shopping for real estate has badly exacerbated the chronic pain in her leg. (In case you missed it, in the last episode, the newcomer explained that the pain is the result of a bone tumor, which was carved out and replaced by some sort of…concrete mixture? The procedure sounds both terribly painful and wildly barbaric.) Back at the villa, Dr. Jen tries to exercise her way out of the pain, and calls Ryne for some support. But the conversation turns into a microcosm on the state of the Armstrongs’ marriage. He can’t empathize or offer even a few consoling words. And she’s left feeling unsupported and unappreciated. I’m still waiting for Dr. Jen to give us more, but expect this marital strife to continue into next week.
Meanwhile, Noella, Gina and Emily are down on the beach having a private picnic. Mostly made up of some bubbly in the sand. Somehow, the topic of flying home is broached. And h0nestly, I hadn’t even considered the fact that Noella might not be invited to fly private with the rest of the ladies. But Emily takes the conversation a step further, informing her new friend that Gina had to call in a favor with Heather to even get her invited on the trip in the first place. Rather than see this as a gesture of Gina’s loyalty, Noella translates it into getting a “pity invite.” At this point, simply add it to the list of things she’s mad at Heather about.
Finally, all the ‘Wives come together for what will be their final dinner in Cabo. The table is beautifully set on the beach. There are sombreros for everyone, a tequila tasting and even a piñata. Dinner starts off on a nice note. Shannon gleefully dons her sombrero, Emily relives the story of the sweat lodge and Heather ends up offering Dr. Jen some welcome advice about how to fix the communication issues in her marriage. (Though their roles are reversed, the Armstongs seem to be in an eerily similar spot to where the Dubrows were during their earliest years on the show.)
However, the mood takes a turn once Shannon and her sombrero excuse themselves for the restroom, leaving the buffer between Heather and Noella wide open. Within seconds, the newbie can’t resist putting the pity invite accusation on the table. But when Heather uses the word “pornography” to try to explain why she didn’t feel comfortable inviting Noella due to the gift she gave Max Dubrow, it takes the pair’s bubbling feud to a new level.
Do I think the raunchy gift was an innocent mistake and Noella didn’t know what the cards said? Yes, absolutely. Do I understand the way Noella is choosing to react to the fallout? Not at all. You’d think the obvious thing to do in that situation is to appropriately mortified, apologize profusely and perhaps send a replacement gift for good measure. But no, not Noella! She immediately goes on the defensive, baring her teeth and accusing Heather of disapproving of her because she happens to be a biracial, bisexual liberal.
I’m sorry…what? How did we get here? To the point where Noella is throwing out phrases like “straight fragility”? Does she even know who she’s talking to? In a sea of perpetually blonde Republicans, Heather was perhaps the first East Coast liberal to ever join RHOC. They actually have more in common in terms of their belief systems than most of the other women on the show. And not only that, Heather has been an outspoken and proud ally and advocate for her kids, whom she points out are all across the rainbow when it comes to their identities. So yeah, not the move you think it is, Noella.
Meanwhile, all the other ‘Wives are literally trying to coach Noella through an appropriate apology for the gift. But to no avail. Not even giving her the benefit of the doubt works. (And for the record, Heather‘s absolutely allowed to be offended at the poor choice of gift, even if it was unintentional. And while plenty of people will debate the semantics, it’s possible for pornographic content to be more than just visual.) Instead Noella internalizes what Heather’s saying and takes it to a personal level. It literally takes Heather reads the cards out loud on her phone to shock Noella back to reality. Now she’s mortified. And though the newbie offers a meek, half-hearted apology, she still has to get the last word. Noella may have declared this issue “done,” but something tells me it’s just the start of more bad blood…
