Shahs of Sunset Recap: Keeping The Peace

Shahs of Sunset Recap

With a tumultuous and long-standing feud between Reza Farahan and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi finally resolved, the Shahs of Sunset can get back to more important things, like peace in the Middle East. Just how does a Shah go about tackling the task that has eluded generations of people worldwide? By throwing a politically incorrect party, of course!

Reza and Mike Shouhed nurse their hangovers at lunch, while they recover from Shervin Rpoohparvar’s Malibu party the night before. Mike never went to bed and when Mercedes “MJ” Javid shows up, it looks like she hasn’t either….for days. Talk turns from being hungover to how much Mike’s family means to him and that includes family in Israel that he hasn’t seen in over ten years. Hey, wouldn’t it be “the dope-est” if all of the Shahs went to Israel too? Apparently so, according to Reza. He is looking to connect with the Jewish side of his life via a posh vacation with his friends. When they try and get MJ on board, she initially balks, saying she doesn’t want to leave her father while he is sick. But she quickly realizes that she needs a break from her stressful life and I guess another cast trip with this bunch of hooligans is something she might find relaxing. She thrives in chaos after all!

A very pregnant Asa Soltan Rahmati takes a break from talking about her pregnancy to go kaftan boutique hunting with her family. Just kidding, she is still talking about it, saying that her family business is even more important now that there is another family member on the way. And everyone knows you can only sell kaftans out of a non-working refrigerator for so long before you have to upgrade to a ramshackled store front, which is exactly what Asa is doing. The landlord (and old friend of Asa’s) shows up in his landlord-y best, which includes a sundress, pink tights, rainbow wig, and nipple eyelashes, that he immediately shows off to everyone. Is this included in the rent? Never mind that, Asa has some sage to burn and twirls of happiness to make around the space so that it is cleansed and ready to sell kaftans.

GG and thousands of her hair extensions are putting good things out in the universe and you know what that means – good things are coming back. Things like walking in a tacky sequined romper down a runway for some designer no one has ever heard of, I guess? Clearly, she must be friends with this designer and clearly, there is a shortage of eligible models for fashion week in L.A. because why else would someone risk having their clothes ripped off incredible hulk style, mid-catwalk if something doesn’t go Lochnessa’s way? I guess only time (and one fashion show) will tell.

Reza is shopping for his “Gaza Strip, Israeli, Palestine, Peace in the Middle East” party and guys, I cannot stress for the life of me the importance of quotations in this recap. These are Reza’s words, not mine. With that disclaimer out of the way, back to culturally insensitive shopping, y’all!

Destiney, who is off the People’s Couch and a supporting cast member now, shows up to help with the decorations. If this is anything like Mike’s party, Reza should know this isn’t a good idea but then again, Reza isn’t known for being classy when it comes to décor. He also isn’t known for being culturally sensitive but he explains that being a refugee from a war-torn country, where you can be hung for being gay, leaves him with a desire to poke fun at it as a way of coping with his feelings. He invites Destiney to the Israel trip since husband Adam Neely can’t come due to better judgment work. Destiney also likes “dope” things and taking a trip to Israel is one of them, so she happily accepts.

MJ, despite not being married, has some marital advice for all of us: you must date your husband until the day you die. I have some marital advice for MJ: you must marry a man for him to qualify as your husband. But my advice aside, MJ saying date nights are about romance and making sure your man knows that you still want to have sex. And how does one send up a smoke signal that you want to have a baby with said man? If you’re MJ, you simply tell him “eff it, I want to get ovulation strip and get pregnant.” If you’re fiancé Tommy Feight, your response is something along the lines of surprise, then a brief mention of being more responsible adults before bringing a child into this world, then saying let’s go for it. MJ reasons that Salma Hayek and Halle Berry did it, so why can’t she? I don’t have the answer to that but my guess would be that neither Salma nor Halle lived in a dirty, one bedroom apartment with no running water. That certainly wouldn’t preclude you from having a baby but it might make child rearing a little easier, don’t you think? With a big bite into a Korean BBQ rib, Tommy says he’s in and vows to stop and get ovulation test strips on the way home.

At L.A. Fashion Week, GG (not to be confused with Gigi, an actual supermodel), has arrived to the show and is already swigging champagne and ordering around hair and makeup like she’s been a horrible person all her life. Oh, wait…she has! Shervin comes to support her but can’t manage to even have a conversation, thanks to all the naked models in the room. Within minutes of arriving, GG’s mood gets darker than her raccoon eye makeup after seeing Janice Dickinson, one of the world’s first supermodels, wearing the tacky sequined romper SHE was supposed to be wearing! GG is about to throw some murderous vibes into the universe and snaps at the designer to get “that old a** b**ch another outfit”. Reza and Adam arrive just in time to see this and obviously, can’t get enough. Shervin is oblivious because, boobs. Finally, GG takes a deep breath and says “fine” to another equally ugly sequined outfit and the team puts the finishing touches to her glamorous roadkill look.

shahs-of-sunset-recap (6)

With Lochnessa contained, Reza decides to invite Shervin on their trip to Israel and Shervin takes a pass, saying it would negatively affect some of his business relationships. Reza is confused and doesn’t understand why everyone just can’t join him in feeling “Jew-y,” while GG can’t understand why she would want to go somewhere where they want to bomb Palestinians. Reza waives off her statement and a symbolic champagne bottle pops loudly in the background, startling them all. Reza is still trying to get everyone on board and thinks exclaiming “eff Iran” out of frustration will do it. GG is offended but doesn’t really have time to discuss it further since she has a catwalk to go trip down.

MJ has escalated pretty quickly on the baby fever scale and is already making Tommy pinky swear he won’t masturbate anymore. Her plan is to get knocked up and then have a legal wedding ceremony so her babies won’t be “bastards.” Oh MJ, if only anyone could take your idiotic morals to heart, but it’s so hard when you can’t even figure out how an ovulation test works. I know, it’s hard to read directions and pee on something without your fiancé standing over you to help, but I promise, it’s not nearly as hard as taking care of a baby, married or not. Maybe Salma and Halle are just better at reading directions.

Despite almost clawing Janice Dickinson’s face off at the fashion show, GG is transitioning to a calmer, happier person and that means clearing the toxic energy out of her life. Or, what normal people would call, moving. Shervin and Annalise come over to help and thankfully, there are no naked models in the room so Shervin can remain focused. They quickly find out that GG isn’t just harboring toxic energy in her apartment but boxes of old blow up donuts she used to sit on after her butt implant surgery.

Mike arrives and it turns out, his moving company is in charge of moving all the furniture and butt donut boxes. Yes, Mike opened a moving company and he says it’s not sexy but it’s a solid investment in a business because you can’t replace movers with robots. I didn’t know you could replace shoes with robots either so not sure why that business got tossed aside but whatever. Mike doesn’t even bother to wear his own shoe line to help move and is quickly complaining about scuffing up his new Adidas.

Shahs of Sunset Recap

The night of Reza’s big party and everyone is going all out in costume. MJ gets ready eating fried rice in her bathroom while getting her makeup done. At the party house, Reza and Adam arrive, dressed in full Orthodox Rabbi costumes. Reza muses that since he is more in tune with the Jewish side of his religion, he hopes he can wear the outfit without being disrespectful. In his next breath, he is showing off his “sexy burqa bitches,” who are there to entertain and serve the party goers in headscarves and sequined bikinis.

Mike arrives as Moses, Asa arrives as…pregnant, but claims she is world peace, simply because she draped a white scarf that’s painted with a peace sign around her stomach. MJ is in a skin tight skeleton costume with side boob and Shervin comes in an orange suit, saying he’s an immigrant from the seventies. GG arrives in a full burqa and dark sunglasses, all which make it impossible for her to get drunk quickly.

shahs-israel-trip

GG still isn’t sold on going to Israel and when Reza asks, Shervin also expresses concerns about being welcomed. Mike promises that Israel is very accepting, but GG pushes back again, saying they are not of Muslims. It starts to get a little heated but GG’s real issue is Reza’s comment to “eff Iran.” In a surprising twist, Reza immediately apologizes, explaining that he loves everything about Iran but the government. Asa tries to bring resolution to the conversation by reminding everyone how important it is that they respect each other’s journey. That’s enough for GG to fully get on board and agree to go to Israel so she celebrates by grinding on Mike, proving that all you need is love and a little dry humping to make the world a better place.

90 Day Fiance Recap: Lies And Goodbyes

Paola-Flowers-Head-Thong-Model-Shoot-90-Day-Fiance

Paola-Flowers-Head-Thong-Model-Shoot-Bushes-90-Day-Fiance

Just when you thought Paola’s imaginary career was as sad as it could get, she scores a photoshoot that makes her look like a real live Instagram filter. On last night’s 90 Day Fiance, Russ tries to be supportive of his wife baring her goodies in public, while Pedro defends his intentions to Chantel – and her entire family – after their disastrous visit to the Dominican Republic. Mohamed and Danielle prepare for their appearance in court, and Jorge struggles to understand how lying to Anfisa for over a year could have possibly backfired on him.

In the Dominican Republic, Chantel and her family are heading back to Santo Domingo from their hotel in Santiago. They’re convinced Pedro is conning them (via his mother, Lydia) for a green card and money. But Pedro’s family thinks these Americans behaved worse than animals, only coming there to humiliate them! Pedro doesn’t know what to do – is wedding #2 happening or not? He says Chantel needs to decide between her family and him. Chantel thinks the same applies to Pedro and his family. In other words: These two are doomed.

In Florida, Alexei’s mom prepares to head back to Israel. Still bumming out about the immigration news they received, Alexei and Loren bid farewell to Natasha, knowing she likely won’t be moving to the U.S. anytime soon. After an emotional goodbye at the airport, Natasha stays hopeful about seeing her son and daughter in law again, even if there’s not a permanent move on the horizon.

With the annulment hearing just days away, Danielle is hoping all of her “social media evidence” against Mohamed will be enough to prove fraud. Also, she thinks Mohamed’s Walmart-friend, Tom, can somehow help her case. I think Danielle should look further than Walmart associates for guidance, but then again, this is Danielle we’re dealing with. At Tom’s house, Danielle presents her ironclad case. It involves Mohamed’s selfies with other women and other super-specific “things and stuff.” Danielle whines, “he’s been accusing me of all kinds of crap on social media!”

Tom naively thinks social media is what “destroyed” Danielle and Mohamed’s marriage, which like blaming Ohio for creating Danielle. It’s just…a stretch. This causes Danielle to produce evidence from her soiled duffel bag, which includes printouts of messages between Mohamed and some “New York lady.” As Tom sifts through Danielle’s wacky printouts, he silently thanks TLC’s camera crew for standing between him and possible murder – because Danielle’s face looks like she’s capable of anything right now. He also doesn’t think her printouts mean anything, claiming, “These are not factual.”

Danielle-Green-Shirt-Couch-90-Day-Fiance

Then, Danielle brings up her sex life, which even Walmart Tom doesn’t deserve to hear about. Oh lordt! She again complains that Mo only did the nasty with her once (which is exactly one time too many), so he must have been getting sex somewhere else. “Because it wasn’t from me!” she bemoans. Tom, and the rest of the planet, doesn’t want to hear about Danielle’s sex life. He also thinks Danielle should stop fixating on Mohamed and take care of her daughters for once in her life. After accusing Tom of not being on her side (duh), Danielle takes her big bag of crazy and marches out, screaming, “You’re NOT neutral!” She then howls at the night sky like a raving lunatic. Inside, Tom triple bolts his doors and vows never to talk to another person at Walmart again.

In Miami, Russ has a job interview for a field engineer position. Paola is excited that Russ may be able to support her totally nonexistent future in modeling. She thinks it’s the husband’s job to provide for his family, even though she forced her husband to move to a place that has zero prospects in his industry. She’s all about that equal partnership, yo! But Russ is basically willing to do anything it takes to keep Pao though, and she knows it.

Anfisa-Black-Halter-Confessional-90-Day-Fiance

But there’s a far more disastrous situation going on out West! Anfisa and Jorge have been separated for two weeks, and Anfisa needs to make her next move. She Skypes with her grandmother to seek comfort. And it’s here that we see where Anfisa got her sparkling personality, as her grandmother’s first words to her granddaughter are, “You look fat.” Anfisa just shrugs off the insult, then lies to grandma about the state of her marriage. She’s not ready to tell grandma the truth, nor does she have another sugar daddy lined up yet. So she keeps mum on the subject of Jorge for now.

Back in the DR, Chantel arrives in Santo Domingo with her wedding dress in tow. She and Pedro haven’t talked since her family took themselves hostage in the van the night before, and she’s wondering what’s going on…? Pedro’s bachelor party is going on! That’s what. Out at the bar, Pedro tells his friends that Chantel’s mad at him for sending money back to his family. They all agree that in the Dominican culture, that’s just what’s done, so homegirl needs to accept it.

However, when Pedro tells them that Chantel’s family dissed his grandmother, they agree that her family sucks. But Chantel is his true love! Encouraging Pedro to call her to make amends, Pedro’s friends all but throw their phones at him to do the deed. (Are these dudes on Lydia’s payroll? What is happening here?) Pedro complies, calling Chantel to ask what her problem is (and swearing that his phone has been dead, so he didn’t get her calls). He wonders whether they’re going through with the wedding after all? Chantel tells him to come to the hotel after his party and they’ll talk. Because sorting out marital crises after you’ve been drinking all night is a super solid plan!

In FL, Loren tells Alexi that she’s got a speaking engagement with the Tourette’s foundation. Alexei thinks she’ll do great, but can’t make the trip to D.C. for the event. Of course, Loren sees this as a personal slight. “It’s, like, a big deal,” she tells Alexei, not wanting to take no for an answer.

Okay – now back to some real drama! Jorge meets up with his buddy, Ramone, to complain about the abysmal state of his life. It’s been two years since Jorge has been denied basic rights hung out with friends, admitting he’s disconnected with at least twenty people since Anfisa’s entrance into his life. Ramone spouts some trite nonsense like, “Love is blind, man!” and “You need someone who motivates you!” hoping the camera is catching his good angle for his cameo on this sh*tshow. Jorge says being married to Anfisa feels like being a prisoner – except he seduced his own jailer under a cloak of lies, a small point he fails to divulge to Ramone. (Hey, Ramone, check out TLC on demand! The truth is out there…)

Chantel-Purple-Dress-90-Day-Fiance

With the wedding two days away, Chantel and Pedro meet at her hotel to discuss their future. Pedro says his family isn’t coming to the wedding, having been so majorly disrespected at his grandmother’s home. Chantel argues her family’s point: Pedro is just using her to finance his family’s come-up. Pedro thinks that’s his business to deal with, not Chantel’s – and certainly not her family’s.

But when Chantel accuses Pedro’s mom of basically being a manipulative witch, Pedro explodes. Throwing his green card on the bed, he yells that she can have it back. “I don’t need you!” shouts Pedro. “I don’t need your family!” No. But, um, I think you might need that green card, dude. So, thanks for the theatrics, but you might want to make a photocopy of that sh*t before you go tossing it on hotel beds in the future!

Holding on to a crying Chantel, Pedro now tries to reason with her. He repeats that his family is his problem, unaware that when you marry someone, that person’s family becomes EVERYONE’S problem (am I right, people?!). Chantel argues that Pedro’s mom and sister are living in a better situation than them, though, and it doesn’t seem fair. Is she not a priority? Pedro’s short answer is no. In his culture, she’s not; his mother is. “Maybe you need another husband,” snarks Pedro, pondering whether he should just stay in the DR. Wait – how would his mama get that flatscreen TV, then? Hmm. #conundrum

Paola-Blonde-Green-Dress-Couch-90-Day-Fiance

In Miami, Russ gets a job offer! The company he interviewed with, which is outside of the oil and gas industry, offered him a position at about half of what he was making in Oklahoma. This does not bode well, given the much higher standard of living in Miami, but Paola doesn’t care. She’s staying in Miami come hell or high water, and Russ’s downward career mobility has no bearing on her grand plans.

The saga/snooze fest of Loren and Alexei continues, as Loren leaves for her trip to D.C. and Alexei goes fishing with Loren’s dad. He’s got a few questions for his father in law, number one being: Why did you not know that Tourette’s is hereditary? To Alexei’s surprise, Loren’s father claims he never had any information on the subject. He says there was no support available when Loren was growing up, which is somewhat questionable considering Tourette’s is not some sort of new disorder. It’s tough to tell whether Loren’s parents couldn’t find out more about Tourette’s or if they simply didn’t do much research. Either way, Loren’s dad swears he was in the dark, only doing the best for his daughter with the limited information he had.

In LA, it’s time for Anfisa to start learning some life skills. But instead of doing that, she opts for facial injections! As she ponders life without Jorge, Anfisa decides that she prefers him driving her around better than paying for a car service. She also doesn’t plan on changing her lifestyle anytime soon, even if she has to drain her bank account to do it.

At the plastic surgeon’s clinic, Anfisa denies most of the botched work she’s had done in the past, then considers getting botox at the tender age of 21. Also, she pronounces “botox” as “buttocks,” which is further proof why 90 Day Fiance is the gift that just keeps on giving. You simply can’t write this brilliance. Anfisa may have many challenges in the facial department, but wrinkles ain’t one of them. Despite this, she opts for botox/buttocks injections, planning on a brow/face/personality lift down the road. All on Jorge’s dime, of course.

We travel back to the DR, where Pedro is now rethinking that green card toss and swearing his deep love for Chantel. He wants to put the past behind them. To do that, Chantel wants him to talk to her dad, which Pedro agrees to do. Given Chantel’s family’s actions toward Pedro’s family thus far, that conversation should go over about as well as a plate of lukewarm chicken parts.

Russ-Paola-Polo-White-Shirt-90-Day-Fiance

Dear readers, I regret to inform you that it’s officially time to witness Paola’s big break into the world of extremely low-rent modeling. Russ accompanies his blushing bride to her new “job opportunity,” ready to support her dreams of standing in a thong swimsuit and flower headband in public. The photographer, Mike, is apparently known for his juicy-booty shots, which Paola is only to happy to take. As Paola prepares for the shoot by complaining to her makeup artist about Russ’s hangups, Russ sits by, hating every moment of his life.

Paola-Flowers-Head-Thong-Model-Shoot-90-Day-Fiance

Then Poala poses on a literal step ladder in a yard (after removing her wedding ring with a sly smirk), popping her booty in every direction she’s commanded to. Russ is shocked at the public nature of this totally professional shoot. He’s like, These sexy photo shoots are not okay in Oklahoma! Um, Russ: These “sexy photo shoots” are not okay on the suburban streets of anywhere, USA. And they will never materialize into paid work. But how else is Paola gonna get her 100,000th follower on Instagram? A gal’s gotta climb as high as that collapsible step ladder will take her!

Whoa – now we’re suddenly back in the DR. (TLC, please work on your transitions.)  Chantel’s best friend, Gigi, has flown down to support her. And after she hears Chantel’s version of what’s gone down between the families, she supports Chantel’s demand that she be the priority in Pedro’s life. She also suspects Pedro’s family is using him for financial support, even though Pedro feels it’s his duty.

Gigi’s level-headed boyfriend brings up the point that Pedro’s father not being in his life puts major pressure on him as the “provider.” This is not an easy position to be in. THANK YOU, GIGI’S BOYFRIEND! Chantel just cries that everything is ruined now! She just wants Pedro’s family to come to their wedding! Whah!!! (Even though she didn’t want her own family to get out of the car to meet them? Okay, Chantel. Gotcha.)

It’s now been a month since Anfisa and Jorge split. So Jorge decides it’s time to recruit his family’s support. He visits his mom’s house, where his sister, Lourdes, is also in attendance, to complain about his marriage. Before he can do so, Jorge’s mother calls him out on never coming to see her – at least, ever since he’s been Anfisa’d. She feels like she’s lost him, crying that it’s like he’s a stranger in their family now. Jorge admits he rushed into his relationship with Anfisa. But he’s also still under her spell, explaining his plans to meet up with her – and to bring her a gift! Groannnnn. He knows what makes that woman tick. So does his family, who also know they can’t talk sense into their little pathetic man-child.

In order to please his wife, Pedro meets up with Chantel’s father, Thomas, and her brother, (#1 Pedro-Hater) River. Chantel’s father questions why Pedro is prioritizing his mother and sister above his wife? Pedro denies doing this, arguing that he’s working all day at two jobs to provide a better future for Chantel. So, why is this “better future” a few years off for Chantel, but happening so quickly for Pedro’s family in the DR?

But Pedro really takes offense when Chantel’s dad claims that his daughter lived the same (if not better) lifestyle before Pedro came on the scene. Pedro’s like, “Better before me? BEFORE ME?!?” Seeing Pedro’s anger rise, River stupidly inserts himself into the argument, reminding Pedro that he needs to respect his dad. Pedro, whose family has been disrespected six ways to Sunday by these people, goes nuts on River about his mangled notions of respect.

Back to the issue at hand, Thomas again asks why Pedro’s mother and sister are living in better circumstances than he and his daughter are? Pedro reminds him that money stretches further in the DR. It’s not about the dollar amount though, as Thomas alludes to next. He thinks Lydia is using Pedro for financial gain, plain and simple. At this accusation, Pedro becomes incredulous. He thinks these people just want their daughter to be married to someone else. Because between the prenup, and now this, maybe he ain’t it.

Mohamed-Red-Shirt-Couch-90-Day-Fiance

Speaking of people who should not now, nor ever, be married to one another, Mohamed and Danielle are still building their arsenals against one another for court. Mo meets with his lawyer, who advises him to be prepared for battle. Also, he needs legal representation in that court room, which Mohamed still doesn’t have. Mo absurdly claims, “I don’t need a lawyer – I know what I’m doing!” This, from a man who can’t even extract himself from deranged social media battles with a woman who struggles to pronounce “consummate.” Oh my. Well, Mohamed. Rots o’ ruck to you! The justice system awaits your case. And Tunisia might await your swift return.

TELL US: SHOULD MOHAMED REPRESENT HIMSELF IN COURT? ARE PEDRO AND CHANTEL HEADED FOR DIVORCE? IS JORGE EVER GOING TO GET A CLUE? WHERE IS PAOLA’S MODELING CAREER TAKING HER?

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Live Feeds Day 29 & 30 Highlights: No Lover’s Paradise

It was a busy Big Brother 19 weekend: Head of Household Paul Abrahamian continued his plan to convince Jessica Graf to not save her boyfriend, Cody Nickson. Normally, we would find it ridiculous that someone would even try to get another houseguest to not save their closest ally. However, if Big Brother 19 has been anything, it has been ridiculous.

Big Brother 19-Cody Nickson

It was a Big Brother 2017 weekend filled with tears, pranks, and break ups. Here’s a quick rundown of this weekend’s Big Brother 19 events.

Couple Drama

Big Brother 19 Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf

Due to Paul’s interference, we experienced a lot of Big Brother 19 showmance drama. Elena Davies decided to distance herself due to Paul’s request. He tried the same strategy on Jessica. However, Cody and her separated for awhile but eventually came back together.

Cody made it his mission to push Jessica away. He wanted her to not use the Hex on him, and let him go. The couple had a major blowout when Paul told Jessica that Cody wanted to keep Alex Ow and Jason Dent in the house so that they could go after Raven Walton and her.

Jessica tried to get confirmation from Matt Clines about Paul’s claims. Matt said whatever was said in the beginning didn’t matter now. Mark Jansen told Jessica the same thing. Jessica was willing to let it go, but Cody got really defensive when Jessica questioned his loyalty. He said he didn’t know if he wanted to be with her in the real world if she really couldn’t trust him.

Eventually, Cody and Jessica reconciled, but we expect this sort of back and forth to happen all week.

Elena decided to end her showmance with Mark. This was based on a suggestion given by Paul, who claimed it was the best way to improve Elena’s game. Meanwhile, he was plotting to get her out after Cody. Elena distanced herself to the point where she got closer to Josh Martinez, and even talked badly about Mark behind his back.

The Veto Plan

Big Brother 19-Jessica Graf and Paul Abrahamian

As expected, Paul won the Power of Veto. He originally planned to use it to take down Jason. This would have resulted in no one going on the block as a replacement. However, Paul started to wonder if the real power of the Hex made Jessica choose someone to save. They didn’t believe she could save more than one player.

Paul devised a plan to remove Jessica from the block and put up Elena as the replacement. Therefore, Jessica would have to choose between saving Elena or Cody, and the house still wins because she loses an ally either way.

In another attempt to convince Jessica that getting rid of Cody was good for the house, Jessica and Paul had a long talk. She told him that the only way she would get rid of Cody is if the house made and kept two promises.

Big Brother 19 Alex Ow and Paul Abrahamian

First, they had to give her two additional weeks of safety (not counting her Hex week), and they had to target Alex next. Everyone had to agree to target Alex or no deal. Paul agreed to both demands, and then made the house lie about targeting Alex.

Jessica even thought that Paul might use the Veto on her, and put up Alex as the replacement nominee. Then Jessica hoped she could still save Cody without using the Hex. Cody basically told her not to believe the houseguests (he was right).

As of now, Paul’s Veto plans are still up in the air.

Mark Finally Starts Playing the Game

Big Brother 19 Cast

As always, Paul tells his minions to make it clear to Jessica that she needs to let Cody go or she’ll become enemy number one. Everyone agrees to it, except Mark pretends to be on-board, but really isn’t following orders.

He gives Paul misinformation about what he tells Jessica, and Jessica’s plans with the Hex. Jessica and Mark have a conversation where she asks him for advice on using it. She says that she doesn’t want to give Paul the satisfaction of getting out Cody, especially with how Paul’s been treating Cody.

Jessica also says that she wants Cody there to help her game. However, she’s noticing changes in Cody’s mood and behavior. She doesn’t want to keep him in the game if it’s not good for his mental health. So she’s really conflicted.

Mark offers a sympathetic ear. He also tells her how he respects her for standing by Cody, unlike Elena who left him and budded up to Josh. Mark also says that he would love to see Jessica use the Hex as a gameplayer and fan of Big Brother.

Jessica decides that she wants to use the Hex, but only if Cody still wants to stay and play. We’ll have to see how this all plays out, and if Mark continues to be a disloyal minion.

Paul Plans to Push Cody to his Limit

Big Brother 19 Paul Abrahamian and Raven Walton

Paul has told the other Big Brother 19 houseguests that he wants to break Cody. He started by putting vaseline on the door and on the coffee pot that Cody uses the most. Just little things to get under his skin. He also said he plans to scream at Cody like a drill sergeant.

Paul also planned to take verbal shots at Cody during his Power of Veto ceremony speech. He encouraged Jason to play up being scared of Cody. Jessica asked Paul to not aggravate Cody anymore, and he agreed to not do it. However, this is Paul, who doesn’t know when enough is enough.

The veto ceremony could get explosive if Paul goes againsts Jessica’s wishes and verbally attacks Cody during his speech. We’ll have to wait later today to see how it all plays out.

Game of ThronesTwo out of three Starks counts as a reunion, right? Game of Thrones finally reunited Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and brother Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) in season seven, episode three, "The...

Karen Huger Thinks Charrisse Jackson-Jordan Is “Desperate To Stay Relevent”; Juan & Robyn Dixon Should Move On

It was pretty painful to watch Karen Huger try and explain herself during that Real Housewives of Potomac reunion. Sure, her finances are her business, but then again she did sign up to be on a reality TV show about her life. So it’s hard to know what she should and shouldn’t share.

Nevertheless, there are plenty of things that don’t add up. Was Karen downsizing? Why did she move into a bigger house? Did she move because of her parents? None of it makes any sense, and there’s that tax lien which has never been addressed on the show.

Even though Karen did what she could to defend herself during the two reunion episodes, she still took to her Bravo blog so she could explain everything that went down during the reunion. Spoiler alert: nothing is actually explained, but a ton of shade is thrown.

Karen wrote, “Ray [Huger] set the record straight on them all but especially for Gizelle [Bryant] and Charrisse [Jackson-Jordan]. How dare they refer to my man as being broke? He has worked very hard to accomplish his career and all the trimmings that come with it. For these girls to speculate and throw out those verbal attacks all season was a little hard to watch.” Fair enough, but it really seemed like the cast had issues with Karen being shady more so than her actual financial assets.

The self-proclaimed Grande Dame of Potomac threw some shade: “Charrisse, being the ‘most pretentious’ of us all, was overly focused on our money. She is sitting in a glass house throwing boulders. I was shocked at her confessionals while she wants the world to think she wants to be my friend. She needs to keep her focus on her own life and stay the hell out of our checkbook.” In the real world, that makes sense, but this show is all about discussing other people’s lives.

Karen moved on from Charrisse to shade at non-couple Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon: “Robyn and Juan have made it crystal clear that their unconventional non-marriage is for their children. He wants to do what’s right for his career and family. Robyn has repeatedly said they want to accomplish family and financial goals.” She also asserted, “I think that folks need to move on. There is nothing left to see. It should just be ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ when it comes to the Juan and Robyn’s relationship story. At any time one or both can decide to change the arrangement but until then mark her words, ‘America, I am fine!’ It’s safe to assume that Karen is not rooting for them to make it work.

However, she does seem to be rooting for Ashley Darby even though she revealed that she and Michael Darby were living apart for three months at the point when they filmed the reunion. Karen admitted, “I was very sad to hear that Michael and Ashley had separated. I am praying that they can work it out. The restaurant has become their baby and they both seem committed to its success.” She seemed pretty hopeful about their future since she said, “Michael & Ashley have some common bonds that can keep them happy for years to come.”

Most of that was just child’s play- especially in comparison to Charrisse accusing Karen of having an affair with a bodyguard/driver. She said, “Ray and I are very happy and are in a good place. I chuckled as I watched how they made comments about Ashley with her dance partner and her restaurant chef in earlier episodes. Folks just can’t stand to see a pretty girl with another man without assuming they are humping.”

She continued, “Charrisse has accused Gizzy of humping on every date she has gone on. We all watched her run her mouth at both reunions. People, get a life and back up off my panties. I know sex sells, but damn!” And she made it very clear that she is so not here for Charrisse when she said, “Charrisse needs to not come for me with all that she has going on. (That’s all I am saying with my humming tune playing in the background.) She is desperate to stay relevant.” That could be said about most of this cast.

Big Brother 19 Recap: The Week of Big Boy Moves? 7/30/2017

Now that Jessica Graf announced to the Big Brother 19 house and the world that she holds the power to keep herself and Cody Nickson safe from eviction for the next couple of weeks, things inside the house should be very interesting.  The incoming Head of Household , Paul Abrahamian, looked like a deer caught in the headlights after Jessica made the brash announcement, which she hoped would throw Paul off his Big Brother 19 game.  Paul, however, is not buying Jessica’s bag of goods and vowed to make some “big boy moves” in the Big Brother house this week.

Big Brother 19 Paul Abrahamian

Although Jessica made her claim for safety this week, she has made it clear that she does not feel the need to share details with any of the houseguests, especially Paul.  As such, Paul feels as though Jessica is just making a strategic move in the Big Brother game and intends to call her bluff.  Paul has been around the block before in this game, and he is preparing a Plan B just in case things don’t go as expected.  Being that Mark Jansen, and by association Elena Davies, continue to side with Cody and Jessica, Paul wants to make Mark his Plan B target for eviction this week.  He feels that if he can’t evict Jessica or Cody, then he will go after their only solid connection in the house, which is Mark.

Paul privately confronted Elena to see where her allegiance lies inside the Big Brother house now that Cody has returned.  He explained to Elena that because her showmance partner Mark has claimed Cody as his ride or die, she has been pegged as guilty by association by most of the houseguests.  He warned Elena that if she did not verify to the house that her allegiance is not with Cody and Jessica, her game was in jeopardy. Elena shared in the Diary Room that she did not want to be seen as the houseguest picking a showmance over the game and end up looking like a fool. Only time will tell which side Elena finally decides to side with now that the cat is out of the bag.

Big Brother 19 Paul and Elena

The first Temptation Competition was held in the Big Brother backyard and was titled ‘Bowlerina.’  Participating houseguests will spin 15 times before attempting to knock down bowling pins for 15 seconds each round.  Once their time expires, they must spin an additional 15 times to earn an additional 15 seconds to throw the bowling bowls at their pins.  The houseguest to knock down all four of their pins in the fastest time will win the first Big Brother Temptation Competition.

Big Brother 19 Temptation Competition

The winner of this competition will be safe from eviction for the week.  The loser will be the third nominee to the block for eviction this week.  Only Alex Ow, Matt Clines, Jason Dent, and Mark decided to play Bowlerina in the Big Brother backyard.  Mark finished with the fastest time granting him safety this week, while Jason finished in last place putting him on the block for eviction as the third nominee.

Big Brother 19 Block Nominations

It came as no big surprise when Paul called Jessica’s bluff and nominated her and Cody to the block for eviction this week.  Paul is living up to his promise to make big boy moves this week and play the game hard. Soon, the entire Big Brother 19 house will learn that Jessica does have the power to keep herself and Cody from eviction this week.

This week may just be a dud for HOH Paul unless he realizes Jessica is not bluffing. Stay tuned to find out what big boy moves will be made.

Big Brother 19 Episode 7/30/17 Preview: Paul Makes Allies Into Enemies

Tonight’s Big Brother episode will be jam packed. On Thursday’s episode, we witnessed an attempt at a Big Brother 19 blindside. The house planned to blindside Cody Nickson, Jessica Graf, Mark Jansen, and Elena Davies by voting out Ramses Soto instead of Josh Martinez.

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson

Kevin stopped the blindside by telling Jessica a day before eviction that he thought Ramses would leave the house. Jessica and Cody then scrambled to try to change the votes. In the end, votes remained the same. Ramses became a casualty of a bad Big Brother move.

Elena and Mark were the only players truly blindsided by this Big Brother 19 eviction.

We expect that a main portion of this episode will focus on Elena’s feelings about being betrayed by the house and Paul. On Thursday, Elena had the most trouble adjusting to this deception. She kept her cool, but the frustration was clear.

By the end of Thursday’s Big Brother hour, Paul won his second Head of Household of the season. This Sunday’s episode will focus on how he tries to pull the wool over Cody, Mark, Elena, and Jessica’s eyes about lying to all of them. None of them believed his claims, but he made a good effort.

Big Brother 19 Mark Jansen and Elena Davies

We will see Paul make his nominations. We already know who he nominated, but we’ll see a little more about how he came to this decision.

The most exciting thing about tonight’s episode is the introduction of the Temptation Competition. We will see a selected few people play in it for safety, and one of those people becomes the third nominee.

Tonight’s Big Brother 19 episode will be far from dull. Tune in tonight at 8/7 CST. Going to miss the episode? Then join us tomorrow morning for a full recap.
