Ella Emhoff’s Fully See-Through Collina Strada Top Is a Mix of Textures

For her recent outing, Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, wore a see-through Collina Strada top featuring a striking mix of textures. The designer took to Instagram on May 5 to share a carousel of photos, featuring her in the all-black ensemble. In some photos, she also posed with her friend, Tommy Dorfman.

Ella Emhoff was wearing the Collina Strada Black Wavy Dandelion top, worth $340. The sheer long-sleeved floral top featured two thick, vertical bands of gathered fabric that ran from the shoulders down the torso. The opaque panels gave the top structural definition and a modest contrast to the otherwise translucent material. At the waist, the outfit transitioned into a complex, sculptural element.

A wide, draped satin sash in a high-sheen finish created significant volume around the hips. This piece was intricately gathered into rose-like ruffles on either side, adding a romantic yet dark Victorian-inspired edge. A long, flowing fabric panel extended from the waist piece, trailing down the side and adding movement to the overall look. A layer of fringed black lace peeked through, bridging the gap between the structured waist and the sleek trousers.

For the lower half, Emhoff opted for wide-leg trousers with a sharp central crease, which elongated her frame. The clean lines of the trousers balanced the drama of the upper half of her look. She slipped into pointed-toe black leather shoes, maintaining the monochromatic color palette.

Further, she accessorized with large hoop earrings and a dainty pendant necklace. In another picture, she was also wearing narrow sunglasses and carrying a small black bag. Her hair was styled in a sleek, middle-parted bun, which kept the neckline clean.
