Kylie Kelce requests all to stop asking toddler moms about babies reaching milestones
Kylie Kelce shares four kids, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley, with husband Jason Kelce. She often shares her own experience as a mother on her podcast. On the March 26 episode of the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, she spoke about things people should not say to new mothers.
Kelce said, “Don’t ask mothers of one-year-olds if they’re worried about their baby not reaching certain milestones.” She urged mothers not to lose sleep or constantly worry about their kids’ milestones. Further, she emphasized the fact that all kids are different.
“Make sure that we’re not putting pressure on anyone else. Sometimes we can say what we want to say. We can be proud of our kids,” she added. Explaining how each kid reaches a certain milestone at a different age from the other, she said, “Wyatt was an early talker. She was. She wanted to chit-chat.”
Kelce claimed that she “chalks” it up to the fact that Wyatt was six months old when the COVID-19 lockdown happened. She recalled that her husband had to go to work during that period, which left Wyatt as the only person she would talk to.
Kelce continued, “Ellie, that child didn’t utter words. I mean, said a couple of words here and there. She did not speak to us until she was probably 18 months old. They’re in the same house. They have the same parents that raised them the same way, very close together.” She concluded by saying that mothers of young kids should not let the comparisons steal “the joy of the amazing things” that they watch their little ones do.
