Both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are football fans. However, the pop star was notably absent from her fiancé’s side at the Super Bowl 2026. She had attended the Bowl in 2024 and 2025 to cheer on Kelce’s team Kansas City Chiefs. The tight end was not playing this season. He was there solely to support his fellow players. So, Swift had no direct reason to attend the game.
A source had told Page Six earlier, “She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately, and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance.” With Bad Bunny headlining the halftime performance, Swift had one less reason to be at the game.
The NFL has not officially offered the songstress to perform at the Super Bowl yet. Regardless, she once explained why she would not perform at the halftime show. In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said, “The whole season I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field. Can you imagine if he was out there every single week, putting his life on the line, doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport, and I’m like, ‘I wonder what my choreo should be?”
Kelce also had a special event during the pre-game. He accepted the 2025 Nationwide Charity Challenge award at the Walter Payton Man of the Year awards. For his appearance on the field, he paired a black blazer with a white top and grey slacks. Meanwhile, Swift has not made a public appearance since the release of her “Opalite” music video.
