Royals with an entitled attitude? Never! Well, if palace insiders are to be believed, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have inherited their parents’ sense of privilege. Sources say that despite marketing themselves as independent, hard-working women, the sisters have a superiority complex – and “attract the wrong kind of company.”
Beatrice and Eugenie are “intelligent and well-mannered,” the insider says
Despite being princesses, the sisters aren’t full-time working royals. Beatrice heads her own company as a private equity analyst, while Eugenie is the associate director of an art gallery. But sources say that, despite being accomplished, working women, the pair are far from down to earth.
One source says: “They’re intelligent and well-mannered, but they’ve lived in a world where everything comes easily. They’ve been conditioned to assume opportunities will just appear. It’s very much like their parents – the privilege, the questionable associations, and the belief that normal rules don’t really apply,” reports OK!
And it’s not just a reported entitled attitude that has got insiders talking. Beatrice and Eugenie are also allegedly naive when it comes to the company they keep. Another source said: “Andrew opened plenty of doors for his daughters in the Middle East, introducing them to wealthy and influential people – some of whom caused concern behind the scenes. The girls have good intentions, but like their father, they seem to attract the wrong kind of company.”
Beatrice and Eugenie have apparently also found themselves unintentionally caught up in their dad, Andrew Windsor-Mountbatten’s, money scandals. That includes scrutiny in 2022 when Turkish millionaire Nebahat Isbilen claimed she was tricked into giving the disgraced royal money – including £750,000 (around $986,000) that was allegedly used for Beatrice’s wedding.
A palace insider said: “It looks terrible, even if the princesses have done nothing wrong. When your father’s reputation is under scrutiny and your name keeps surfacing in money matters, it creates a cloud over everything. They’re working hard to be taken seriously, but the connection hurts them.”
