Los Angeles County is witnessing the worst wildfire rampage, with thousands, including celebrities like Ben Affleck, evacuating their homes in the devastating Palisades fire. TMZ reported that Affleck evacuated his multimillion-dollar mansion in L.A. on Tuesday and may have headed to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house. Garner, who lives nearby in Brentwood and shares three children with Affleck, was seemingly safe from the mandatory evacuation.
Ben Affleck flees $20.5 million home due to Palisades fire
Actor and director Ben Affleck was forced to evacuate his $20.5 million mansion in L.A. as the Palisades fire raged on. According to reports, he may have headed to Jennifer Garner’s house. The blaze sparked around 10:30 a.m. that day and has since spread across thousands of acres furled by strong winds, as per the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. In addition, the region is witnessing several other wildfires including the Hurst fire, Sunset fire, and Eaton fire. The flames have resulted in the deaths of at least five people, with more injured and thousands of properties and homes either destroyed or damaged.
Reportedly, it was unclear whether Affleck went to Garner’s house for shelter or to check on their children. The New York Post noted that photos showed the actor driving his car toward his home before evacuating and heading to his ex-wife’s house. In the photo, he had the car’s window open regardless of the smoke-filled air outside owing to the raging fire. The dad of three was wearing a navy blue blazer over a button-up and had his arm partially outside the window.
Besides forcing Ben Affleck to evacuate his Los Angeles house, the Pacific Palisades fire, now raging over 17,000 acres of land, destroyed the homes of other celebrities. Several A-listers such as Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, and Billy Crystal lost their homes in the blaze as firefighters fought to contain it. Moreover, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester lost their home in the California wildfire. Several others even took to social media to share updates about their well-being.
