It’s hard to believe that Andy Cohen has been gracing us with his late-night show, Watch What Happens, for the last 15 years. Andy has had some mega stars on the show, like Jennifer Lawrence and Patti LaBelle. Naturally, almost every Bravoleb has also crossed the clubhouse threshold. The show is where fans go to tune in to the latest drama. Andy has a knack for getting some of the hard-hitting questions answered, and we love him for that. Let’s take a look at who will help him ring in his big anniversary below!
Andy’s late-night pop
Andy has always had the 411 and has been the king of midnight fun for some time. Reigning supreme, Andy has built up quite the Rolodex of guests and friends. In a Bravo release, fans learned that the network would be rolling out the red carpet for some of its special guests. In a released statement, Andy gushed, “Fifteen is my new lucky number! I can’t wait to celebrate the WWHL legacy. Thank you to Bravo for always having faith in our little late-night show that could—allowing me to ‘go there,’ play ridiculous games, host incredible guests, and generate endless watercooler talk.”
For Andy, Watch What Happens Live has been a “dream job,” noting he “never wants to wake up.” Over the years, WWHL has won a Webby and been nominated for a Primetime Emmy, the GLAAD Media Awards, the MTV Movie Award, and the Critics Choice Award. The series has found a cult following who tune in every night, ensuring not to miss any drama.
The who’s who
Drum roll, please. The lineup for Watch What Happens Legacy is set to include Bravoleb stars Teresa Giudice, Milania Giudice, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, Jeff Lewis, and Dwight Eubanks, as well as VIPs Jerry O’Connell, Evelyn Cohen, and Lou Cohen, Andy’s parents.
Bravo noted, “The anniversary special will feature hilarious hijinks, unpredictable surprises, and a jam-packed lineup of celebrity and Bravolebrity guests. What could we possibly come up with next? You’ll have to watch what happens.” Needless to say, there will most likely be a few pop-up guests to keep the night entertaining. I would bet that a housewife from the original franchise, the Real Housewives of Orange County, might also make an appearance. As Vicki Gunvalson likes to point out, it was the show that started it all.
Andy has loyal followers
The guest list is perfect, and personally, I am thrilled to see Frick and Frack back together. Most of these Bravolebrities have become an integral part of Andy’s life. And he calls them friends. Andy and Jerry have been long-time pals with the Bravo executive, even giving Jerry a hosting gig on Bravo’s Play-by-Play. Andy has also grown close to Tre, whom he has favored for a long time. Even though he was absent from her recent wedding due to an already-planned Montana trip, the two remain close.
Luann and Sonja have famous connections, and they don’t mind doing whatever Andy asks of them. Whenever either has set foot in the Clubhouse, they have delivered great ratings and memorable moments. It is easy to see why Andy would want them as part of his big day. As for Jeff, the two have a genuine friendship. Frankly, they are one iconic duo.
Jeff has never had an issue calling out Andy for shady moves, and the host seems okay with that. The two have had a rollercoaster of a relationship and even argued on live shows. The TV special will undoubtedly touch on all his relationships with his guests and leave fans wanting more, I suspect.
When does Watch What Happens Legacy air?
Earlier this year, the network confirmed that Watch What Happens Live had been renewed through 2025. The series airs Sunday through Thursday on Bravo, with episodes available on Peacock the next day to stream. For those wondering, the TV special will air primetime on Sunday, June 30th, at 9/8c.
