Filming is underway for Season 15 of The Real Housewives of New York City, and I’m a little concerned. We know that the entire cast of Season 14 is returning for another shot at ushering in a new era of RHONY. However, we haven’t heard a peep about any drama popping off in the Big Apple. Erin Lichy recently tried to change that.
Erin teases RHONY Season 15
The real estate agent and tequila entrepreneur recently talked to Decider about the upcoming season. The outlet uploaded the video to their Instagram Stories, and she claimed that Season 15 got off to a spicy start. Do we believe her? Well, you can be the judge.
“It started off rocky, and it got rockier,” Erin teased. “And I think we are smooth sailing, for now.”
Does Erin realize that smooth sailing isn’t necessarily why people tune into The Real Housewives of New York? Does she know what her predecessors endured on that boat in Cartagena? Ultimately, there’s just something very unconvincing about Erin’s Season 15 tease.
With that said, if Season 15 did get off to a rocky start like Erin claimed, it likely has something to do with the rumored new cast member, Rebecca Minkoff.
Her involvement has been controversial, and during a recent hot-mic moment, Sai De Silva admitted that some of the women unsuccessfully tried to bring her down a notch.
“I think people are trying to take her down, but she’s unresponsive,” Sai revealed.
So, with an “unresponsive” newbie and “smooth sailing” from Erin, Season 15 doesn’t seem too promising at the moment; at least not from those who are hoping for a healthy dose of drama.
Perhaps we’ll be pleasantly surprised when it does hit our screens later this year. There’s still plenty of time for things to get “rocky” again.
