The Real Housewives have a lot to say. Always. Like, they never stop. However, their ability to engage in verbal tirades ensures that they’ll remain on-air for additional seasons, so, we get it. Regardless, being witty and fast is a skill that can’t be learned. Despite this, several ladies actually arrived to Bravo with this skill fully realized. Their words quickly became iconic, as not only were they relatable, they were also funny. Here are our picks for the most quotable Real Housewives, past and present.
Bethenny Frankel
Bethenny Frankel‘s time on Real Housewives of New York saw her delivering many quotable lines, especially when angry. Now, as we all know, Bethenny is currently not on Bravo. She’s instead fighting the network, and Andy Cohen, in an effort to unionize reality television stars. Yet, just recently at a party, Bethenny saw Andy from afar, confusingly labeling it as a “sentimental” time seeing her former “charming” boss.
Despite her conflicting narratives, Bethenny’s quips on RHONY were always straight to the point. “Go to sleep!” was one, as was “life is not a cabaret,” and “mention it all!” Bethenny aimed two of these at Ramona Singer, which we loved, because Ramona needed to be knocked down several pegs. To date, Bethenny’s infamous one-liners on Real Housewives are still re-shared, as they are just that quotable.
Luann de Lesseps
Luann de Lesseps was just as witty on RHONY as Bethenny. No matter what, Luann’s lines were almost always memorable, even when they arrived following a heartbreak. Case in point, when it was revealed that her ex, Tom D’Agostino, was cheating, Luann text-talked a line that is still used like crazy these days. “How could you do that to me question mark?” she typed aloud.
“I’ve been traveling. I’ve been to prison…” is another, and even though most people couldn’t relate to the prison aspect, Luann’s exhausted statement still resonated, as life is indeed tiring. However, when defending her vacation hook up, Luann once exclaimed “Be cool, don’t be all like, uncool,” and at this, we died, because let this woman live, y’all. Overall, this line has become the most repeated quote from Luann’s time spent as a Real Housewives star.
Shereé Whitfield
During Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2, Shereé Whitfield delivered an instantly iconic quote. As for the backstory, Shereé hired Anthony Shorter, an event planner, to throw her divorce party. Anthony and Shereé didn’t gel, and when they met up, Anthony grew frustrated. Here, he provoked Shereé by saying, “You better be careful who you’re talking to before you get checked.”
Still wearing her sunglasses inside, and sans any beats missed, she quickly shot back. “Who gon’ check me, boo?” Shereé replied, causing Anthony to briefly stammer. As for Shereé now, she’s likely wearing her “joggers” over to Kenya Moore’s house, to see if her other quotable line of “you need to do trim,” has been applied yet. Truly, with her level of shade, Shereé is a highly quotable Real Housewives star.
NeNe Leakes
NeNe Leakes joined RHOA in Season 1. In our opinion, she quickly rose to fame as one of the most quotable Real Housewives in the entire franchise. No matter what text lies in your phone awaiting your response, NeNe has you covered, as her clapbacks have been made into countless memes and useable audios on TikTok. Basically, NeNe’s words are gold.
As for our favorites of NeNe’s many quips, “I said what I said,” is pretty high up there. This line was spoken during the Season 6 reunion, where NeNe found herself at odds with Kandi Burruss. During this same filming, NeNe also clashed with Kenya, and she began repeating the words “So nasty and so rude” to her colleague. Kenya was all of us here though when she smiled, because even though NeNe’s heat was aimed at her, it was hard not to laugh over NeNe’s hysterical delivery.
There’s more though. “Keep your legs closed to married men!” and “Okay, girl. Bye,” also deserve a place here. As does “Bye wig” and “Bloop!” Basically, NeNe’s quotable reactions to her Real Housewives costars are all amazing, and we low-key want NeNe back, and stat.
Vicki Gunvalson
Vicki Gunvalson starred on Real Housewives of Orange County Season 1, where she remained until Season 13. Here, Vicki’s demotion came, and her screen time on RHOC began arriving in various limited-capacity showings. With some shady storylines, there’s no denying that Vicki was polarizing. However, love her or leave her, Vicki did offer up several memorable quotes.
“I’m being nailed to the cross like Jesus was,” and “if I die right now, tell them she died sad,” are two of Vicki’s quotes that immediately spring to mind. As does her “whoop it up” line, in addition to her interactions with a local car company, who had sent a small van to her home in order to transport her family to the airport. ”You have a little family van!” Vicki yelled, while we all laughed on our couches. For her storylines, Vicki was a bust, so send her a casserole to cry in, but, as for her quotable Real Housewives moments, well, Vicki typically delivered.
Teresa Giudice
Even when Teresa Giudice misspeaks on Real Housewives of New Jersey, her words are memorable. In the Season 1 finale, Teresa yelled at Danielle Staub. “Prostitution whore, engaged 19 times!” later asking Danielle, “Is bitch better?”
In contrast, Teresa once asked “What is it, coomin or come-in?” as “Ingredientses” are hard. We preferred these lighthearted lines though, because hearing Teresa yell things like “I’m gonna f*cking blow my casket” doesn’t land in fights. Perhaps, Teresa will find validation in Season 14 with some of her co-stars, allowing for more of these lighter scenes. If not, she will still likely be adding on to her memorable quotes made on Real Housewives.
