A friend is someone that you can count on through the good times and the bad. Being a Real Housewives star, you don’t expect much, mainly because there is a ton of backstabbing and drama that happens in front of the camera. However, some people were always meant to meet with others, even forming unlikely friendships.
Sometimes, a connection can hit hard, surprising Bravo viewers altogether. Most of the women have learned to fend for themselves, but when an unlikely friendship occurs, it is nice to see that the women are capable of making a lasting impression on one another.
Brandi & Kim
Who knew the mistress of evil that is Brandi Glanville, would have befriended Kim Richards? Fans of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had to rub their eyes a few times during Season 5 since they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
When Brandi debuted during Season 2, she and Kim fought terribly, making enemies of one another. Who could ever forget the fight at game night where Brandi snapped, “At least I don’t do crystal meth in the bathroom all night long, b*tch.” Kim was quick to clap back with her own insults, telling Brandi, “You’re a pig, you’re a slut pig.”
However, As fans watched Season 5 unfold, it became quite obvious that Brandi and Kim were becoming, dare we say it, friends. They acted as if they were sisters and became so close it upset Kyle Richards, who was Kim’s actual sister. The two became so close, Kim claimed that Brandi was a better sister to her. Their relationship seems to have fizzled out, but who knows what can come in the next few years.
NeNe & Teresa
It makes sense that the OGs of the Real Housewives of New Jersey and the Real Housewives of Atlanta would stick together. Surprisingly, Teresa Giudice and NeNe Leakes have had a long-standing friendship that was built on mutual respect.
The two originally bonded when Teresa was having her legal issues. Before going away to jail, Teresa took her four daughters to Broadway to see Nene perform in Cinderella back in 2014. NeNe returned the favor and visited Teresa while she was in prison.
Kelly & Ramona
It is a surprise that these two Real Housewives get on like a house on fire thanks to their polarizing personalities. But their friendship runs deeper than that. The Singer Stinger actually introduced Kelly Dodd to her current husband, Rick Leventhal.
As the story goes, Ramona Singer invited Kelly to stay in the Hamptons back in 2019, with both attending a party at the Fox correspondent’s home. Kelly and Rick hit it off and married in October 2020. Ramona was unable to attend her BFF’s wedding, but the gal pals remain tight-knit, with Ramona hoping at one point Kelly would move to the Big Apple and join the Real Housewives of New York franchise.
Thankfully, that dream didn’t come true since having to watch both questionable personalities on the same screen would be a form of torture.
Luann & Cynthia
Luann de Lesseps and Cynthia Bailey truly enjoy one another’s company, which is nice to see. We can’t be totally sure if the two have signed a friendship contract, but Cynthia was invited to Luann’s wedding to Tom D’Agostino.
The model even starred in Luann’s Feelin’ Jovani music video. Both starred on the Real Housewives: All-Stars and still got on like a house on fire. The women laughed and banded together when shit hit the fan on the tropical island between the other women.
Brandi & Kristen
Brandi Glanville and Kristen Taekman have actually been chums since their modeling days, so their loyalty goes way back. Even though they live on separate coasts, the two get to see one another every time there is a Real Housewives crossover.
Brandi once made a surprise appearance during Season 6 of RHONY. The get-together was cute and wholesome, which was somewhat surprising coming from a major pot stirrer.
