Joe Gorga Accused Of Faking House-Flipping Pictures By Fans On Instagram

Joe Gorga Real Housewives Of New Jersey

Joe Gorga is experiencing a reinvention of sorts. He’s been on Real Housewives of New Jersey for years now, first introduced to us as Teresa Giudice’s brother and now better known as husband to Melissa Gorga. But he brings a lot to the show on his own, despite a somewhat bumpy start. Let us not forget the Christening from hell where he called his sister “garbage” then cried to his dad outside. Then there was the infamous physical fight between Joe and brother-in-law Joe Giudice, where they fought so hard that Joe’s spray-on hair rubbed right off. In recent years, it’s been the treatment of Melissa, from investing large sums of money into a pizza joint without telling her, to making fun of her efforts to start her own boutique, even calling her earnings “crumbs”.

But it looks like our small-minded, little Joe is all grown up and if you aren’t following him on Instagram, run, don’t walk to hit that follow button right now. Why? For starters, he has started a series of photos of him in various poses, with the text of some very deep quotes. Quotes like “I may not be the fittest I may not be the srongest but I’ll be damned if I’m not try my hardest”. I left that as a direct quote without fixing what I think he actually meant to say on purpose, all for your reading pleasure.

After each deep thought, he uses a goldmine of hashtags, most notably #growwithgorga. As if that wasn’t enough, Joe has written a book, done some stand up comedy (yes, really) and even started a speaking tour, actually called Grow With Gorga, that “brings together the leading minds in real estate investing, lending and developing for training, enlightenment, and motivation” according to the website.

But not everyone is buying into “growing with Gorga”. After posting a series of before and after pictures of homes he claims to have renovated and flipped, Page Six reports that he is now being accused of faking those photos and claims. Unfortunately for Joe, it all started when one of the owners of an “after” photo recognized her own house. It was not even close to renovated or flipped by Joe. Said photo has since been removed, but he has kept up other pictures of his apparent flips for the public to view and now question their validity.

Caley Svensson, the owner of the house in question, told Page Six that she found it “really strange” when a friend of hers tagged her in Joe’s Instagram post and she saw her house advertised as something he’d flipped. She went on to say, “It’s clearly our house. I messaged [Gorga] on the post to please remove it, but he never responded. I DMed him, as well, and he never responded either.” Through property records obtained by Page Six, it does confirm that Caley and her husband are the owners of the “after” photo featured by Joe.

The now-deleted Instagram post shared by Joe said, “Look at this flip worth $1.9m. Took me 6 months to turn this around. Ripped off the roof & added to the second floor. I think I might move in.” When Instagram sleuths pointed out that this was not, in fact, the same house, Joe responded by blaming his 21-year-old social media manager. He said they “made a mistake.” Sure, Joe. He admitted that the before and after photos were not of the same house but claims he did the work on the “after” photo house. “I helped fund that project,” he said. “I’m a private lender. I did fund the deal.” He continued, “It was a brand-new house, so it made me look even worse.”

But fans and Instagram commenters weren’t buying it, and took to his social media page to call him out, with one commenter writing, “Then why are you pretending to be something you are not and posting all of these pics of fake house flips.” Joe responds by calling them “a miserable human being.”

Looks like Joe still has some growing to do.
