The two new cast members on Real Housewives of New Jersey better be bringing it next season. How is Danielle Staub not a full-time cast member, again? She can throw shade like no other and she always brings the drama.
During one interview alone she shaded Margaret Josephs, her soon-to-be-ex-husband Marty Caffrey, RHONJ alums Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, as well as Jackie Goldschneider, one of the two new Housewives. The other ladies better be bringing a lot to the table, if Danielle is giving this much and she’s only a Friend of the Housewives
During the October 3 episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Danielle did not hold back. At all. Wendy Williams pointed out, “You’re not a Housewife though this time. You’re just a friend.” Danielle confirmed, “Just a friend. I would love the answer to why that is, but maybe you know some people. I don’t know.” Is that shade at Bravo? Shade directed toward production? Or is that just a general feeling of disappointment that she won’t get a tagline this season?
Wendy asked, “Why did you accept then?” Danielle answered, “I thought it was really time to explore Teresa [Giudice] and I making amends on the show and for our children as well.” She insisted, “That friendship is real to me and there isn’t anything I won’t do for her. I just wanted to be there for her.”
Wendy told Danielle, “You’ve got to really bring it this season.” Without hesitation, Danielle told Wendy, “I did.” There’s no doubt about that, but will her scenes make it into the show?
Last season, Danielle strengthened her connection with Teresa and became fast friends with Melissa Gorga and Margaret. It would have made a lot of sense for her to be a full-time Housewife if she was hanging out with them so much, but apparently things changed this season. Wendy said, “The rumor is that Margaret is responsible for having a lot of your scenes cut out.” Wait. What?
Danielle told Wendy, “Well, that’s the funny thing about rumors. Wouldn’t we all like that kind of power? What is this? She’s been here a minute. We haven’t even seen her in Season 2, have we?” Wendy pointed out, “I didn’t even see you in that trailer.” Shade thrown?
Danielle insisted, “Yeah, I’m there.” She also claimed, “I’m the reason for that trailer.” What does that mean exactly? Is she saying she was driving force behind all the drama shown in that sneak peek? Or is she implying that as an OG cast member she is a big part in the success of the show?
Spoiler alert: Wendy asked, “Do you and Margaret get along?” Danielle shared, “You know, we don’t. We really don’t and I don’t think it’s any secret. You can see all the pictures disappearing on Instagram where we used to get a lot of love.”

Danielle continued, “I don’t want anyone to think that I’m the victim or I want attention from this, but you know, I’m going through a rough time and it would have been nice for her, not to be there for me, but to stay out of my marriage.” She stated, “In a day and age of women empowerment, we should do that for one another or just keep quiet and stay in your own lane.” These two were so close last season. What could they be beefing about?
Wendy asked if we are going to see Danielle’s marriage issues play out on the show? Danielle said, “I would have hoped.” So is that a “no”? Is she just unsure? Are they just going to completely cut her marriage out of the episode?
Wendy asked, “What went wrong?” Here comes the shade. Danielle claimed, “He does hit cocktail hour a little too heavily and it does change things. I think all of us, it changes, I just don’t think it changes him for the better.” She added, “I’m always the person that wants to fix people and it’s just not fixable.”
Even after that, Wendy still asked Danielle if there was any chance that the two of them would get back together. Danielle responded with “I don’t have a crystal ball, but you can’t go into the public and be tweeting and Instagramming about your wife or your spouse.” She added, “And you don’t go to press, you know.”
Wendy asked, “So he really liked being a House Husband?” Danielle admitted, “I think that is what I’m the most disappointed about: his want for this attention.”
After all that, Wendy couldn’t help remarking, “I still can’t believe you’re not a Housewife. What do you think about the new girls?” The shade assassin struck again. Danielle said, “I do think that one is a little stronger than the other, but I spent more time with her, Jennifer [Aydin].”At
What about Jackie? Danielle said, “She kind of disappears to me a little bit. I’m just being honest. It’s nothing personal, it’s just that I’ve been around this zoo for a very long time. I can tell which animals stay and which are going to go.” It also probably doesn’t sit well with Danielle to know that Jackie is close with Margaret.
Then Wendy threw it back and asked Danielle for her thoughts on Caroline. Initially Danielle asked, “Who?” Then she pointed out, “We’re the same age, she and I, she hates when I say that. You’re welcome.” Damn.
What about Jacqueline? At first, Danielle just said, “No.” Then she remarked, “That’s a whole lot of crazy. I mean, I own my crazy, but if you don’t own it and you’re even crazier than me, that’s a lot of crazy. ”
