The best part about the return of Dorit Kemsley for a second season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the return of Season 1 Camille Grammer. Yes, Camille appeared on the show plenty of times since Season 2 – her last season as a full-time cast member – but it just wasn’t the same.
Now, Camille is done holding back and she is here to shade Dorit and put her in check, unlike Lisa Vanderpump who is under Dorit’s faux British spell. Even Kyle Richards was on board with Dorit at first, until she got caught in the cross hairs herself. Just like Erika Girardi, Camille has seen through all the bull shit that Dorit brings to the table and she’s not afraid to call her out.
Camille discussed Erika’s early departure from Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s beach house in a Bravo blog post. Camille wrote, “Due to a prior commitment, I arrived later just in time for sunset. I was not privy to any discussion of Erika’s condition, so when she left, I, like the rest of the ladies, was surprised by her departure. We wished she had stayed over to spend time laughing and dancing with us.”
Camille admitted, “The next morning I wasn’t surprised but was disappointed that Dorit told Erika what was discussed the night before. It was talked about without the other ladies and didn’t need to be brought up surreptitiously.” But that was the only way Dorit could successfully skew the narrative.
Camille continued, “I called her a tattletale and questioned her behavior as attention seeking and pot stirring. I really don’t understand her at times. Teddi and Erika haven’t hit it off that well since Vegas unfortunately. This episode, provoked by Dorit’s intervention, did little to repair their relationship.” What relationship? I would be surprised if these two have ever kept in touch outside of seeing each other, minus a cast group text (which I imagine exists).
Camille recapped, “We arrive in NYC meet up for dinner and endure Dorit going on and on about how her two new besties are vying for her attention, how difficult this is for her, and how Lisa Vanderpump is needy and jealous of her friendship with Kyle.” Dorit tried her best to pull off a humble brag, but instead she seemed more pompous than ever. She also threw Lisa under the bus – not that Lisa seemed to care when she found out about all the shit Dorit talked.
She hilariously admitted, “At this point of the dinner conversation, Dorit’s droning on and boasting grows tedious and tiresome. I am forced to ask a few questions merely to stave off boredom and jetlag.” And to earn that “Friend of the Housewives” paycheck for that episode.
Camille explained, “Knowing Kyle and Lisa for over eight years, it saddens me when they are pitted against one another. They have been friends for several years, and to hear Dorit’s commentary was off-putting. Both Teddi and I felt that a true friend wouldn’t say those things, so with Teddi being an accountability coach and me being a long-time friend, we both thought we should let Kyle and Lisa know. Their private issues should not have been discussed in the first place and certainly not in the manner Dorit raised them.”
Dorit did not care about anyone’s “private issues.” She wanted demonstrate that everyone wants to be close with her to a point where they’re fighting over time with her. She wanted to seem like “such a good friend” that Lisa was comfortable confiding in her, but instead she seemed like a total snake when she shared private anecdotes and stretched the truth. Note to the Housewives: DO NOT CONFIDE IN DORIT.
Camille concluded, “It was unfortunate seeing Kyle upset with Dorit and Lisa not having her back. They have a special friendship, and I have watched it up close throughout the years. They have been down this road before, and have worked it out.” Lisa has some skewed loyalties, that’s for sure.
TELL US – IS DORIT A GOOD FRIEND OR IS SHE JUST STIRRING UP DRAMA FOR THE SHOW? DO YOU WANT CAMILLE TO BE A FULL-TIME CAST MEMBER NEXT SEASON?
