The last episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta was the first one in a long time when every cast member got along. It didn’t provide any GIF or meme-worthy content, but it was significant in a different way.

The Atlanta Housewives came together to film Kenya Moore’s public service announcement about domestic violence.

Kenya reflected on that episode in a Bravo blog post. Before getting to the serious stuff, Kenya was asked about Sheree Whitfield’s blonde hair. Kenya joked, “The weather started to drastically change when she showed up. Her eyes turned grey. She started to float in the air and lightning bolts shot out of her hands…and there was a STORM!”

They are bringing up Sheree‘s various blonde wigs in every Real Housewives of Atlanta interview – blatantly asking the cast members to shade her. Every. Single. Time. Hopefully she takes this into account next season when she selects her hairstyles. Or maybe she’s just thriving off of the attention and social media content that results from her hair choices.

Moving on to the PSA, Kenya explained her motivation for putting the commercial together: “The facts are men, women, children, gay, lesbian, transgender, old, young, wives, husbands, black, white are all affected…the face of domestic violence has no one identity. It affects ALL of us. People die every day at the hands of a spouse, exes, people in relationships, etc. This is the climate for change. We all have to be accountable. #MetooNoMore”

She admitted, “I’m so proud of them for putting their differences aside and supporting this amazing cause. So many people commented on social media that it was the best episode ever. We are role models – willing participants or not. We are all successful, strong, and determined. Collectively, our standing together is a force to be reckoned with. I’m so honored and thankful that they each did their part.”

Kenya added, “I’d also like to thank all of the actors who participated as well. We filmed and re-enacted scenes that will be shown in the full PSA. My heart is so full at the talent, passion, and time everyone donated to help.” She also shared, “For more info on getting help, please visit SafeHorizon.com and stay tuned for the full version of the PSA.”
