In all honesty, pretty much nothing happened on the first Real Housewives of Dallas season. Season 2 looks a lot more interesting (which isn’t saying much) and Brandi Redmond is a big part of that. Brandi is feuding with Stephanie Hollman, and she teased that there is even more drama on the horizon.
The expectations for Season 2 are low, but the hopes are high. Of course I’ll be tuning in no matter what because I watch every single show on Bravo, but it sounds like it might actually be worth it this time – at least according to Brandi.
Brandi appeared on the Reality Steve podcast to discuss the show.
Last year, she revealed that her children got kicked out of their school after the first season aired and she told Steve, “The school did not like that I [called wine ‘Jesus Juice’]. They did not like that I went to a male establishment [strip club] and the fact that I had cussed occasionally. So they released the girls.” Yikes. Brandi added, “I just think that’s the opposite of what true Christians do.” She also mentioned that the kids are enjoying their new school so it is ultimately all good at the end of the day and the show did not ruin their lives.
Speaking of Brandi’s kids, Steve pointed out that they are “roughly the same age” as Stephanie’s kids and Brandi shared, “That’s right. Her oldest and my oldest are six months apart. The little ones are three months apart.” Such a coincidence. Or is it? Steve asked Brandi, “Did you guys get on your schedule together?” I thought that was just a joke, but Brandi confirmed, “We did, yeah. We were basically like ‘Oh you’re pregnant? I’m getting on that.'” Oh wow. That is really taking best friendship to another level.
Brandi did not elaborate on the rift between her and Stephanie, but she did not seem too fond of the new additions to the show: D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott. When talking about D’Andra, Brandi joked, “She’ll tell you that her family has their names on buildings and that they’re special.”
Then, she said, “Kameron is unlike anybody that I’ve ever met. She’s obsessed with pink.” That didn’t sound like a positive or negative statement until Brandi added, “I started to wear pink around her to see if she would like me better.” So there might be drama between these two? Yep. Brandi shared, “She is the one person that can push my buttons and that’s a spoiler.” But she followed that with, “but I do love her,” so things are unclear, but it should (hopefully) be interesting to watch.
Thankfully, Brandi said, “It’s definitely better than Season 1,” but then again I feel like every reality star says that the upcoming season of their show is the “best one yet,” so who knows how it will end up. However, Brandi also revealed, “There’s not a person in the cast that I don’t think I haven’t fought with. Possibly not really one, but I’m pretty sure she talks shit about me, so I’m ready for the reunion.” Now this (finally) sounds like a show that I actually want to watch. Let’s just hope it lives up to this hype that Brandi has built up.
