Am I the only one who feels like pretty much every theme party these days is Gatsby themed? I get that the movie came out a couple years ago and that the outfits are fun without being too outrageous and stepping outside of the realm of regular clothing, but it’s been done A LOT. Well, it just happened again and this time the Gatsby fete was to celebrate Alexis Bellino’s 40th birthday.
In the least shady way possible, I had no idea that Alexis was that young. Since she was all about being traditional and old fashioned when she was a Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, it seemed like she was older. But anyway, she did it up for the Gatsby theme in a party that looked worthy to be the setting for arguments between RHOC cast members – not that it seemed like any of those women were present.

I can see why people keep reusing the Gatsby theme: it just works. You can commit to it without really stretching too much to be in line with the theme. Alexis posted the pic above of herself rocking a red dress, and she added the caption, “#alexisgoesgatsby.” Love Alexis or hate her, but she looks good.
I hate saying this, but I would have been way more interested in this party if RHOC cast members were present. Still, it did look like a nice party with a big budget. Apparently, they hired extras to fill in the ends of photos and hold up fans based on this Instagram photo.
Along with the pic, Alexis wrote, “Photos arriving soon from photographer, but the party was EPIC!!! Can’t wait to share all the details with you all!!”

Alexis also put up a sweet photo of herself giving her son a kiss on the cheek surrounded by party guests. Alexis described her son as “the man of the hour.” I wonder where Jim Bellino was.
Based on what I saw back in the day, Alexis wasn’t the most fun RHOC star, but it definitely looked like a solid turn up to celebrate her birthday.
