This Ireland trip is making some great TV on Real Housewives of Orange County thanks to Kelly Dodd and her antics. This season would be boring without her – at least in my opinion. Although I don’t know what the cast members think about her constant outbursts, but as a viewer, I’m seriously living for it. I’m also curious about how Meghan Edmonds feels since Kelly was brought on the show as HER friend and now she’s going off on everyone and becoming best friends with Vicki Gunvalson, who Meghan can’t stand.
And then there’s this Ireland trip. Production Meghan planned this trip with her husband Jim Edmonds after tracing back their baby’s genealogy to Ireland, so I find it weird that the two of them didn’t go and that Meghan (obviously) had to sit out on a lot of the antics since she can’t party while she’s pregnant. Meghan is on the sidelines of “her” own trip thanks to Kelly taking on the staring role – as per usual. So how does Meghan feel about Kelly saying offensive things to and about Tamra Judge and Heather Dubrow during their vacation?

Like I’ve said a million times, like her or not, Kelly is the one who is making this season of Real Housewives of Orange County interesting to watch. And thanks to her we have stopped reliving all the Vicki drama from last year, so we can all be grateful for that. However, Meghan does not seem to share my point of view on Kelly’s actions, which makes sense since she is actually a part of her life and not a bystander watching at home like myself.
Meghan opened up about the Ireland craziness in her most recent Bravo blog. Right off the bat, Meghan mentioned something about Kelly’s up and down relationship with her husband Michael Dodd: “It’s hard to watch Kelly be so passive aggressive with Michael. I hate it when people act like that. I feel like Michael really seems to want to please her, but can’t. She acts the same way towards the girls, too.”
Meghan said what we were all thinking when she wrote, “I don’t understand why she can’t just apologize, take ownership and move on. When she says, ‘I’m sorry you guys are sensitive,’ that’s not actually an apology. Again, it’s passive aggressive.”
Or she is actually aggressive and knows that she needs to stir up drama to be asked for a second season of the show.

Meghan pointed out how Kelly continued to make the situation even worse – especially with that off base comment about Heather being Jewish: “That whole evening Kelly continued to dig herself a hole with all of the ladies. First, the Jewish stereotype was crossing a line and then saying that Heather couldn’t afford their lots so they had to get a loan? Getting a loan doesn’t exactly mean they couldn’t afford it.”
And of course, the big issue of the episode was Kelly bringing Tamra’s estrangement from her daughter into the mix. Meghan wrote, “And then to hear the comment she made about Tamra’s daughter? Tamra looked so broken during that scene and that never should have been brought up.”
After all of that Kelly-instigated drama, she told Meghan how the rest of the cast attacked her and Meghan seemed pretty skeptical about it and I don’t blame her. Meghan wrote, “When Kelly came back to the room and was filling me in on everything that happened, all I was thinking was about how happy I was that I missed everything. But at the same time Kelly truly felt attacked and if perception is reality then she has and had my empathy.”
It makes me wonder if Kelly actually felt that she was being attacked or if she was trying to spin the situation. Either way it was pretty rough to watch.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK THAT THE CAST RESPONDED FAIRLY TO KELLY’S ANTICS OR WAS SHE ACTUALLY ATTACKED?
