Kathryn Edwards Describes The Drama In Dubai As “Nails On A Chalkboard;” Tells RHOBH Co-Stars To “Get Over It!”

Kathryn Edwards is disappointed that the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills trip to Dubai and her birthday were hijacked by drama being “rehashed” over and over again. Her advice to her co-stars: get over it, move on, and accept that there are two sides to every story, not one truth. Speaking her own truth, Kathryn doesn’t hesitate to call out Lisa Rinna‘s duplicitous motives nor Kyle Richards‘s refusal to own her feelings.

On Kyle being caught between two Lisas, Kathryn is exasperated and wonders, “How could all of this be such a huge issue when the two people it concerns aren’t concerned?” Enter: Eileen Davidson and Lipsa

On the topic of Eileen, Kathryn is exhausted by her Apology Quest. “It’s nails on a chalkboard to me, and I want to let out a silent scream when I hear this topic anymore.”

“It’s so obvious that there is a difference of opinions on the topic, and as much as I understand that, there are two sides and these two sides will never make a whole, so again, please, let’s move on…” beseeches Kathryn. “I’m begging at this point.”

Kathryn’s birthday may have turned sour and thorny by drama, but the “bright spot” was connecting with Erika Girardi. “We put the past behind us, and it felt like we finally forged a real friendship. While the others argued, we found our way.”

Unfortunately the others drifted further and further apart and dragged everyone else down with them.

“I thought that we’d all be able to reconnect and have some shallow conversation over shopping and purchases – because that mall was fabulous – but no,” laments Kathryn. “The cold shoulders and tension between Lisa R, Eileen, and Lisa V were palpable.”

Kathryn hoped that possibly visiting the Burj Khalifa “could scare some of us into forgiveness and acceptance and make everything else seem petty compared to the long way down?” Not quite!

Of course things only sunk further on the yacht. Kathryn says her birthday dinner “will go down as one of the biggest wastes of what could have been a great night.” It had all the elements: gorgeous scenery, deluxe accommodations, perfectly chilled champagne, designer outfits, the view, great friendships… Oh wait. Nope not that!

“I was trying to keep spirits up and act like I didn’t notice the ice between them, but I don’t think I was very convincing.”

“It’s all the same thing, rehashed over again,” sighs Kathryn in her Bravo blog. “You all know the story…” [Kathryn gives a Cliff Notes version, but we know what went down – we’re over it. What a coincidence, so is Kathryn!]

Exhausted by the negativity during the “dinner from hell,” Kathryn blames Kyle for circling the drain and not fessing up to her feelings. “I wanted Kyle to verbally say that she believed Rinna and just put an end to it. There was so much hemming and hawing and we are all smarter than that. I prefer the directness of the truth. Say it, own it, move on.”

And no one needs to take Kathryn’s advice more than Lipsa:

Rinna made the Munchhausen comment. I don’t buy the manipulation accusation whereas Rinna wouldn’t have said it if she wasn’t goaded by Lisa V. Sorry, I’m a big believer in accountability. Rinna is a smart woman who has maneuvered Hollywood and much bigger sharks than Lisa V. I believe that Rinna made the conscious choice to engage in the conversation and then wanted to fess up to Yolanda to clear her conscience. Sh–, would Yolanda have ever found out that Rinna’s hairdresser was talking about this if Rinna never offered the info up to everyone?”

“Maybe I’m naive but I don’t see the master manipulator in Lisa V,” continues Kathryn. “Maybe I don’t come across as someone who will follow, but nonetheless, personal accountability has to be first and foremost.”

Finally Kathryn recognize Kyle‘s efforts to try and salvage her birthday with cake and Chanel. “I was really sad that this was the way the evening turned out,” she admits. After the boat Kathryn and Erika had champs and cake in their suite, so the night ended on a pleasant note.

Kathryn even found something kind to say about Yolanda Foster‘s picnic with Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville. “I don’t question their friendships…it’s not my place…just like we shouldn’t question the friendship between Lisa V and Kyle. If it works for them, why should anyone care what the bond is formed over.”

Initially I found Kathryn annoying, but as she’s settled into her own, I’m liking her more and more. Maybe she can hear better and that’s giving her more confidence? Or maybe she’s relaxed in front of the camera and with the women? I found her one of the most enjoyable women on the Dubai trip – she actually wanted to have fun! I also appreciated that when Kathryn and Erika agreed to get over their disagreement, they meant it and embraced the opportunity to start over and get to know each other. That’s called “adult friendships” ladies – try it!
