Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards Dishes On New Castmate Diana Jenkins

Kyle Richards is a staple on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has been a housewife since the shows inception, over 11 years ago. And she has seen her fair share of castmates come and go. For the upcoming season 12, she will have two new housewives to work with – Sheree Zampino and Diana Jenkins. Sheree, who owns a skincare line and just so happens to be the ex-wife of actor Will Smith, is set to be a “friend of.” Diana is the CEO of a lifestyle drink company and known activist and philanthropist.

And it seems that Kyle has taken a liking to Diana, who officially joined the cast in December. Kyle recently told People, “Diana’s great.” She added, “She’s extremely smart, opinionated, outspoken, beautiful.”

Kyle continued, “She’s somebody who you look at her, and you think, ‘My God, this woman. Talk about over the top.’ She’s very extra. She admits that herself, but she also is someone — she comes from Bosnia. She’s someone who’s been through war and seen all that — so she’s a very multi-dimensional woman and I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.”

While I don’t peg Kyle as being particularly unwelcoming to newbies, it’s nice to hear her be so complimentary towards someone just joining the cast. And with sister Kathy Hilton staying in the role of just a friend, it looks like Diana will have more time to shine. Which hopefully she will have a chance to do given all the rumors and drama surrounding the upcoming season.

Kyle herself even joined in on the social media teasers, which is usually something reserved for Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne. In a recent set of Instagram stories, Kyle alluded to some “squabbles,” as Kathy would say. Kyle posted, “Letting things slide to ‘keep the peace’ only starts a war inside of you.” The last line was highlighted in yellow. Her also shared a meme. It stated, “It’s not the stab in the back that kills you! It’s when you turn around and see who’s holding the knife.”

Of course we have no idea who she is referring to. At least I don’t. And she refuses to tease it any further. Rinna, never one to miss a moment to become relevant on Instagram, quickly chimed in. Rinna posted in the comments, “I’m just glad someone else is posting cryptic shit besides me.”

Either way, it sounds like Kyle isn’t referring to Diana in her posts. But it does sound like Diana is in for one hell of a season. I can’t wait to get to know her better!

Katie Maloney Said She And Tom Schwartz Fight A Lot In Recently Resurfaced Comments After Their Split

By now, everyone has heard about the break up of Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz. The Vanderpump Rules couple have been with us from the show’s inception in 2013. Fans watched their relationship ups and downs. We even watched their wedding ceremony in 2016. The wedding, which was filmed for VPR, ended up being not legally binding. But the pair did make it official in 2019.

While their relationship certainly wasn’t easy, the couple was open about their struggles. Now an interview Katie did with Page Six in January resurfaced, where she got candid about how they were “not perfect.” The interview came after rumors that their marriage was over started to circulate. Said Katie, “Obviously, we are not perfect. We fight a lot. We don’t try to hide our flaws.”

She admitted, “We don’t try to hide that we have issues and lie and try to maintain this perfect front.” Katie also noted that sharing the good and the bad of their lives together has been “really helpful.” She credits the longevity of their relationship to being so open.

Katie continued, “When people try to act like they have a perfect relationship, that’s when things can kind of fall apart because it can be exhausting to keep that up. Because we do put it all out there and we’re not ashamed of it … we’re living the truth.”

Katie also noted back then that her relationship with Tom wasn’t swayed by the opinions of others. Katie revealed, “We don’t really let opinions of what people think about our relationship or our marriage get in the way because we know what goes on every day between us and that’s what’s most important. We take inventory and stock over here. We know what we have and what’s going on.”

After rumors were again sparked by a photo of Katie not wearing her ring, the couple finally announced their breakup on their Instagram accounts. Katie’s post read in part, “I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you. After 12 years on an adventure through our life together Tom and I are ending our marriage.”

In his post, Tom seemed to indicate that this was Katie’s decision. Tom wrote that he, “Fully respect[s] Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy. After 9 years on a reality TV show it feels a little tone def to say ‘please respect our privacy’ (especially while posting this) so instead I’ll ask [you] to please be kind.”

He concluded his post, “So, I’ll shut up now and say it one last time, love you Bub. Always & forever you’ll be in my heart.”

While Katie and Tom have taken a lot of criticism about their relationship over the years, the news of their breakup proved that VPR fans really were rooting for them. One fan tweeted, “I hope Tom and Katie aren’t getting divorced because I adore them together.”  Unfortunately, some online speculated this was all part of a storyline for the upcoming season.

The show has been lagging in ratings since they cleaned house. One user said on Katie’s IG post, “Yep. They’re working with the cast to fish for another season, and this is the offering. A VPR almost divorce.”

Below Deck Down Under Recap: I’m Not Your Monkey And I Ain’t Gonna Dance

“I’m getting ripped tonight. R.I.P that [insert here].” With a single phrase, TikTok let me know last year that I was not up-to-date with what the kids were doing on social media. I didn’t catch the reference. I didn’t know why it was funny. And I didn’t want to film myself doing the little dance. But these millennial charter guests on Below Deck Down Under are apparently much more in-the-know than me, a millennial recapper. Because not only do they love the now-long-passed TikTok trend, they feel confident enough to film themselves making their own TikTok of it on national TV. In togas. They say everything you put on the internet lives forever. And that’s especially true when it also gets filmed for reality TV.

The premiere episode ended with Captain Jason Chambers upping the danger factor on board Thalassa. With mere minutes to spare before low tide wrecked the boat, he made it out of the marina in the dead of night. This new captain is a stud. It only took a full episode, but the first charter of the season is officially underway! He sets a course for Whitehaven, anchoring there just in time for the TikTok-obsessed guests to take off their togas and head to bed.

Bright and early the next morning, it’s day two of the charter. And Chef Ryan McKeown has a rather, erm, controversial plan for breakfast service. The master of the galley actually hates cooking breakfast. He hates that the guests stagger to the table one by one. He hates that they all want different versions of eggs. So instead of giving them the option to make his morning difficult, he tells them what they’ll be having for breakfast. Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. No substitutions. Nothing else on the menu. Needless to say, Aesha Scott is a bit taken aback encountering such a brusque and uncompromising attitude. Plus, she’s the one who has to awkwardly tell the guests that there are no other alternatives for breakfast. Shouldn’t Ryan remember who’s paying for five-star service here? Having endless options available to you is kind of part of the deal.

Thankfully, the guests don’t seem all that bothered. They happily eat their eggs Benedict and spend the rest of the morning snorkeling in Butterfly Bay off the coast of Hook Island. It’s like something out of an underwater fairytale or adventure novel. Or maybe just Peter Pan. Around every corner of the coral reef, there are fish, sharks, stingrays and turtles. Suddenly it feels like we’re watching a stunning nature documentary rather than a reality show. As I mentioned in the premiere recap, access to snorkeling and underwater action is one of the things that will set Below Deck Down Under apart from its sister shows, so prepare to get up close and personal with a lot more marine life in the weeks ahead.

As she sets the table for lunch, we learn a bit more about Tumi Mhlongo. The second stew’s ultimate goal in yachting is to become a yacht interior designer. Or design the boats themselves. She also loves creating tablescapes, which is lucky for Aesha because the chief stews feels exactly the opposite. The guests return from snorkeling and Chef Ryan already has a hearty lunch of BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken and gourmet burgers ready to go. Slight problem, though. The squad wants to unwind in the hot tub with a round of espresso martinis before they change out of their swimsuits.

Chef Ryan is undeterred by what the guests want to do. (Sensing a theme yet?) Instead of waiting, he decides to start plating for lunch without even communicating with Aesha. He even goes as far as to call Captain Jason to the galley to help run food when the chief stew doesn’t answer her radio. (Because she’s talking to the guests and taking all those espresso martini orders…) Only once the captain gets all the way upstairs with three bowls of food in his arms does he realize the guests haven’t even sat down at Tumi‘s perfectly set table yet…Oops.

Captain Jason returns to the galley with food in hand, but Chef Ryan doesn’t like being told to slow down. Apparently, lunch should be served at his pace, not the guests. Meanwhile, Aesha‘s completely missed the entire miscommunication, and is baffled to learn lunch was about to be put on the table without her even knowing. So while the guests finally retreat to their cabins to change, an argument crops up between the chef and the chief stew. Ryan thinks Aesha needs to learn how to tell the guests “no.” As in “no, you can’t get in the hot tub right now, lunch is ready.” Aesha tries to explain that that’s not…how…yachting…works. But Ryan merely throws a tantrum when he has to put the food he’s cooked under heat lamps to keep warm. I predict major problems ahead between the interior and the galley.

That evening, the crew has to move the boat to a different anchorage. Because of Australia’s tide issues. They also have to flake the anchor chain on this particular boat — something that involves moving the chain back and forth so it doesn’t get twisted. And Benny Crawley can’t resist taking the opportunity to mansplain the maneuver to Brittini Burton, who actually uses the “martini” line from my premiere recap to constantly remind her male co-workers how to correctly pronounce her name. The female deckhand feels belittled and condescended to — and rightly so — and has no problem telling Benny as much a few hours later. Benny swears he would never do such a thing intentionally and promises not to going forward…even though he can’t help but mansplain that Brittini’s the one who needs to get up to speed in the process.

The guests invite Captain Jason, or “Captain Cutie” as they’ve nicknamed him, to join them for dinner. And the meal goes much more smoothly than lunch service. Aesha and her team pair Chef Ryan‘s prepared Insta-friendly beer tacos with formal synchronized service. And the high-low factor of it all is honestly kind of perfect in its total absurdity. Throughout the meal, Captain Jason regales the guests with tales from his career. Like the time in 2019 that he made the news by crashing a boat into a dock. And by the time the 1942 gelato is served, everyone’s happy and a little bit in love with the Captain. Well, except for Chef Ryan and Jamie Sayed, who both admit they’re more than a little attracted to third stew Magda Ziomeck. Too bad the Polish model has a Polish boyfriend, boys!

The next morning is departure day. And rather than going back to the marina, the guests have to make their way off the boat by tender. Because of, you guessed it, the tides. The moon and the sea are conspiring to complicate the entire season, aren’t they? But before the guests leave, the boat has to move to yet another anchorage. Which requires once again flaking the anchor chain as the anchor’s pulled up from the ocean floor. In spite of his mansplaining the night before, Benny has a near-complete freakout trying to flake the chain himself. To the point that Jamie has to switch him out for Culver Bradbury in order to get the job done. Whether it was some kind of panic attack or Benny just not wanting to do the work, it’s another small red flag that will need to be addressed by the bosun.

Once the guests depart, Captain Jason calls the crew together for their first tip meeting. And while the captain admits there are clearly many ways the crew can improve, the first charter was altogether a success. It shows in the tip, too, which ends up being a respectable $16,230. (Take note, ye Roses of Below Deck Sailing Yacht infamy: this is what a decent tip looks like.) And once the boat’s dressed down, it’s time for the crew to unwind. For Tumi and Magda, that means flirtatiously cornering Captain Jason into revealing his star sign before the crew all heads ashore for their first night out. (For the record, he’s a Libra…)

In a spirit of humor and good-natured fun, Captain Jason gathers the crew to reveal something of a tradition under his leadership. Each charter, he’ll give a special “award” to the crew member who has the most improving to do. And the “prize” for winning the award comes in the form of a giant, gaudy disco ball helmet. Which the lucky crew member will be forced to wear on their night out. And the first crew member to win is…drumroll, please…Benny! For his dramatic antics while flaking the anchor chain. As well as his all-around dropping of the ball in lots of little ways. The deckhand isn’t exactly enthusiastic about wearing the glittering dunce cap, and basically refuses to play into the game. Culver, meanwhile, claims it’s all in good fun and part of being a team. He would know because he played football, OK?

Much to Captain Jason‘s chagrin, Benny isn’t wearing the helmet when he joins the crew for dinner at The Garden Bar Bistro. Instead, the deckhand is bonding with Aesha by revealing that his mom recently died from a combination of brain and lung cancer. And his dad passed away six months before that. Clearly, Benny’s been through more than one person should have to bear in the last year or so. So maybe that explains part of why he’s more focused on living life than doing work on deck.

However, Benny also takes the opportunity during the meal to thank Jamie for being patient with him during the first charter. He’s already been reprimanded once by the bosun. And somehow, the apology turns into Jamie asking Benny to step up, work harder and respect him as a boss. The deckhand views this as Jamie trying to instill fear in him. But he refuses to be scared. Because newsflash: he doesn’t intend to take orders from anyone.

Melissa Gorga Found Out She Won’t Be In Teresa Giudice’s Wedding By Watching It On TV

Here we go again! Sister-in-laws/frienemies Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are once again at odds on Real Housewives of New Jersey. This season, we already saw an episode where Melissa and husband Joe Gorga got kicked out of Jennifer Aydin’s house. And naturally, Tre didn’t come to their defense. Instead she opted to back Jennifer, blaming Melissa for their social media feud provoking Jennifer. So is anyone really surprised that these two might not be on the best of terms when its comes to Teresa’s upcoming wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas?

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Teresa was asked if anyone from the show would be in her wedding. She said no and when pressed about Melissa, she said no again. Which apparently, is just fine with Melissa. Or so she says. As reported by Page Six, Melissa quickly responded to the news on an episode of her On Display podcast. Melissa joked, “She probably would put me in an ugly dress anyway!” Actually, this is a really good point.

Melissa continued, “I did find out on TV that I’m not going to be in Teresa’s wedding and I’m not a bridesmaid, which I’m OK with, I’m fine with. I understand. To each their own.” Melissa added that she “assumed” she wouldn’t make the cut anyway. But Melissa added that if Tre asked one of Louie’s sisters to be in the wedding, she might be hurt.

Melissa said, “I guess my big question is, you know, are her new sister-in-laws in the wedding? Is it like a no-fam wedding other than the four daughters, her four beautiful daughters, and a couple of her friends? If that’s the case, then I think that makes perfect sense.”

Regardless, Melissa is “very happy” that her sister-in-law has found love with Louie. Melissa revealed, “I love to see her smile when she’s with Louie. So whatever she decides, it’s her wedding and I will be fine with it.” And this is definitely the high road for Melissa, who has had to stand by Teresa while controversy after controversy surfaces about Louie.

“We haven’t said much on the show in a negative light regarding her and Louie — and it’s for a reason,” Melissa noted. “It’s because we want her happy and we want it to be good, so I hope she sees that and realizes that. I wish her nothing but happiness and I’m sure her wedding will be absolutely beautiful.”

Teresa also shared on her WWHL appearance that she will have 8 bridesmaids for her wedding. The nuptials are planned or this summer in New Jersey, although the two had previously considered doing it in Italy.

Tom Schwartz Is Still Wearing His Wedding Ring After Splitting From Katie Maloney

I must admit that I was a little sad when I heard that Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz had called it quits. They were the last original couple left from the “OG” cast members. But there were plenty of signs that this relationship wasn’t destined to last forever.

Pump Rules stars Katie and Tom announced that they were breaking up on March 15, 2022. Tom posted a three-slide message on his Instagram. “Well this sucks. How am I supposed to capture 12 years of love in a f–kin canned Instagram caption,” he wrote. “Katie & I are separating. I’m not quite ready to use the ‘D’ word because it’s too painful.”

Tom continued, “Fully respect[s] Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy.” Tom’s post was so sad.

“I don’t think we were ever a model couple. Maybe we are model divorcees,” Tom said. “So, I’ll shut up now and say it one last time, love you Bub. Always & forever you’ll be in my heart.”

Katie shared a message on her Instagram as well. “I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you. She added, “We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship. Page Six reported that Tom was spotted out still wearing his wedding ring on March 16, 2022. He was photographed getting into his car in Los Angeles, still sporting the symbol of their marriage. Poor Tom.

The couple survived Tom’s cheating scandals and Katie’s tequila-fueled outbursts. Last season on VPR, the couple was trying to get pregnant. And Tom’s bestie, Tom Sandoval, was feuding with Katie about her involvement in the Toms’ new bar. It was infuriating how Tom refused to stand up for his wife, and it caused Tom and Sandoval to take a friendship break.

Tom and Katie actually tied the knot twice. The duo got married in August of 2016 in an enchanted woodland ceremony. Apparently, there was a snafu with the paperwork, and it turned out that the first wedding wasn’t legal. Oopsy! So, Katie and Tom headed to Las Vegas to walk down the aisle again in July of 2019. This time, Sandoval and Stassi Schroeder were the officiants, dressed as Elvis and a sexy nun.

Maybe the marriage license issue was a sign? I’m hoping that the couple can remain friends. And I’ll bet that Sandoval is doing his happy dance right about now.

Fans Slam Yolanda Hadid For Allowing Daughter Bella Hadid To Get A Nose Job At 14 Years Old

Yolanda Hadid solidified herself as one of the most hated housewives after her 4 season tenure on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During that time, she fought for her health against a diagnosis of Lyme disease. Yolanda sought out all kinds of treatments, vitamins, and forms of alternative medicine. She was regularly shown sick and in bed. But the real storyline was Lisa Rinna accusing her of having Munchausen syndrome. And her castmates didn’t really step up to defend her. Well, Erika Jayne did but maybe she’s not the best example right now. Anyway.

One would think that would make Yolanda a sympathetic figure in the world of housewives. But Yolanda regularly outraged viewers in the treatment of her three minor (at the time) children. Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid all eventually became models, just like Yolanda. And it seemed like she worked pretty hard to get them there. Who could forget Yolanda telling Gigi to eat three almonds? And noted to chew slowly when the teenager mentioned she was feeling light headed at a modeling shoot? Or saying she wanted Gigi to give up volleyball so she wouldn’t look too muscular. While Bella and Anwar were younger and mostly left out of the conversation, we are now learning that Bella might have felt some pressure too.

In an interview with Vogue, Bella revealedthat she got a nose job at the tender age of 14. Which is something she has been denying for years. Yolanda previously came to Bella’s defense and denied it too. But Bella is coming clean now and expressing regret about her rhinoplasty. She admitted, “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors. I think I would have grown into it.” As reported by Page Six, Yolanda is now taking some serious heat for Bella’s shocking confession.

Social media lit up with tons of Yolanda hate. Twitter users went wild over the idea that Yolanda would allow her young daughter to get plastic surgery. One user tweeted, “Yolanda is… I’m sorry but she’s a terrible mother. She’s encouraged disordered eating and eating disorders in the name of ‘maintenance’ in both of her girls and let her barely out of preteens daughter get cosmetic surgery??”

Another seethed, “Yolanda is a ghoul who did an absolute number on her children, and whatever Bella is ready to admit now is her choice but it’s important for young women reading this (and holding themselves to the same crushing standards) to understand that the rest is not just ‘face tape.’”

People also took issue with the cultural significance of Bella being half Palestinian and therefore, having features that might not be traditionally “white.” One angry user said, “Yolanda really married a Palestinian man then got mad at her kids for having the features to prove it.” Bella’s dad is Mohamed Hadid, who was regularly featured on RHOBH while Yolanda was on the show.

Speaking of, it’s important to note that Mohamed, the father, is being left out of the conversation. Sure, Yolanda was the one we saw pushing their modeling careers. But Mohamed is their father too. And was known for dating models half his age. So I have a hard time believing he didn’t have any input in this.

Mohamed aside, users also noted how Yolanda treated her daughters differently and how it could have influenced Bella. Lisa Hochstein Believes That Adriana de Moura Is “Being Honest” About Seeing Kanye West’s Penis

The revival of Real Housewives of Miami brought back several of the “OG’s,” including Lisa Hochstein. Lisa is married to plastic surgeon, and “Boob god” Dr. Lenny Hochstein. The couple desperately wanted a family and struggled with infertility. Finally, they welcomed a son in 2015, followed by a daughter in 2019. Both babies were born via surrogate.

RHOM viewers were shocked to find out that Lisa and Lenny actually separated briefly because he had an “emotional affair.” Lisa stated, “The separation lasted all of about one and a half months –it wasn’t a long thing at all.” Lisa denied that the couple were swingers, contrary to what the Miami rumor mill said.  There were fireworks during the Hamptons trip because Lisa didn’t want to share a room with anyone.

But the biggest source of drama on Season 4 of RHOM came from Larsa Pippen and Adriana de Moura. Larsa went to Los Angeles after her separation from Scottie Pippen and became besties with Kim Kardashian. The ladies had a serious falling out, which Larsa alleged had something to do with Kim’s then-husband, rapper Kanye West. Right now, Larsa said that she and Kim are “in a really good place.” Kim was recently declared legally single, and she is loving life with her new boo, comedian Pete Davidson. Kanye is less than thrilled with Kim moving on.

Adriana slammed Larsa’s appearance, claiming she was trying to “become Kim Kardashian.” Adriana also called Larsa “Kim Kardashian’s minion” at Alexia Echevarria’s fiery bachelorette party. But at a dinner with Larsa, Adriana dropped the bomb that she allegedly saw Kanye’s penis. “I saw Kanye’s d–k before. It’s big, and it’s thick,” Adriana remarked. TMI! Larsa didn’t want to discuss the Kardashians, and a shouting match ensued.

At the Season 4 reunion, Larsa said that she asked Kanye about the supposed incident, and he said that Adriana peeping at his penis was a lie. Adriana produced a photo of herself in front of a bathroom with Kanye. Larsa was still pissed at how Adriana was talking about Kanye, and by extension, Kim.

Lisa weighed in on the controversy about Kanye’s package. Lisa told HollywoodLife, “Adriana brought things up that Larsa didn’t like, and I understand. Some of the things she brought up were kind of wild, like about people’s genitalia or private parts,” Lisa explained. “So yeah, I could see how like Larsa wouldn’t like that.”

But Lisa does believe that Adriana saw Kanye’s goods while he was using the bathroom. “I think that she’s being honest. Like, why bring that up?” Lisa remarked. Adriana would certainly bring up anything that would annoy Larsa.

Larsa dissed Adriana as “the weasel of the crew” and said that Adriana’s only story line was talking about her. Larsa also called Adriana “bitter and mean.” Larsa claimed that Adriana created all this drama to secure a full-time position next season. At the end of the RHOM reunion, Adriana and Larsa seemed to be in a better place, but I’m sure it will be a short-lived truce.

Kim Kardashian Says Pete Davidson Got Her Name Branded Onto His Chest

Love hurts, love scars — especially when you’re Pete Davidson. Every day, the Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Pete Davidson saga reaches new levels of absurdity, and this story is no exception. As Page Six reported, Kim just revealed that her new boyfriend got her name branded onto his chest, and honestly, it’s tough not to cringe thinking about it.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the new body art on Pete’s chest when some texts he sent to Kanye were shared publicly. In the taunting texts, Pete finally clapped back at Ye and pleaded with him to stop harassing Kim and the kids on social media. He spiced it up with a little tongue-out, shirtless selfie from bed, which is how fans noticed the name “Kim” was mixed in with all of his other chest tattoos.

Kim was asked about her new man and his new body art during a recent appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show. She gushed about their new “Instagram official” relationship and revealed that the “Kim” on his chest is beyond just a regular tattoo.

“[It] isn’t a tattoo, it’s actually a branding,” she said while trying to demonstrate the act of branding with her hands. “Like a branding,” she reiterated to Ellen, who looked as confused as ever. “He wanted to do something that was really different,” Kim explained.

Well, it’s certainly different, but it’s also a little cult-like. What happens if this Kim and Pete romance ends up being another ill-fated Kardashian romance? And it’s not like Pete has the best track record for relationships either — just ask Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor, or Kaia Gerber. So you break up, and then you just have Kim Kardashian’s name burned onto your body?

Despite how extreme the branding is, Kim explained to Ellen that this wasn’t even his first round of body art in dedication to their newfound love. She revealed that he has “a few” tattoos to symbolize their relationship. So far, her favorite is one on his chest that says, “My girl is a lawyer.” But, since Pete has gotten his ex’s names tattooed in the past, Kim wasn’t 100% convinced that regular tattoos were that big of a deal.

“That’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life, so I was like, ‘Is it special?'” Kim recalled with Ellen.

Pete’s also in the process of getting many of his tattoos lasered away, so he wanted something to represent their love that was even more permanent than ink. So, branding her name was the next logical solution.

“He’s in the process of getting rid of his arm tats and his neck tats,” Kim explained. “So he was like, ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up, and I just wanted it there as a scar on me.'”

Married At First Sight Recap: – Worst. Dinner Party. Ever!

Just when I thought that everyone was starting to be on one accord, all hell breaks loose. Married At First Sight never fails to bring some type of drama. If you have been following this season, you know that there has been plenty. I think this has been one of the most controversial seasons. Every time I think I know what could possibly happen there is another twist. There have been so many ups and downs that I would be shocked if anyone stays together.

The couples celebrate their one-month anniversaries with gifts, boat rides, and getting back to nature.  Things seem to be moving in the right direction for everyone, until a scandalous discovery comes up at a group dinner. Accusations are made and everyone is shocked, especially by the wife in question. Let’s get straight to the recap!

Katina and Olajuwon

If rose colored glasses were a person, it would be Katina. During a video call with her friend, she vents about her recent argument with Olajuwon. She conveniently leaves out the fact that he constantly demeans her. The only thing that she mentions is that he wants her to open up. Huh? I don’t know if she is delusional or just desperate to make this marriage work. Is she forgetting how he told her he questioned her as a wife and her life skills in general? I didn’t! Later, Katina surprises Olajuwon with a romantic gondola ride for their one month anniversary. As much as he has disrespected this woman, he should have been the one bending over backwards for her. For some reason she still feels like she needs to prove herself to him.

During a group dinner, Olajuwon blindsides the group with a shocking accusation. After Katina talks about how they are working on their marriage, he questions if it is even real. Unbeknownst to her, on the ride to dinner he borrowed her phone and saw something unsettling. When he threatens to tell everyone, Katina asks to speak in private. He might as well have just told what happened because he definitely alludes to something unsavory. When they return home, Olajuwon confronts Katina about seeing a dating app on her phone earlier. She claims the app is so old that she forgot it was on her phone.  Obviously her explanation isn’t good enough for him because he begins yelling about her not respecting him. Sigh! I can understand why he would find seeing the app unsettling, but the way he handled the situation was deplorable. I am so sick of Olajuwon and all of his antics. I want Katina to stop making excuses for him and just walk away.

Lindsey and Mark

Lindsey and Mark have yet another tense conversation about their relationship. Mark wants to take a job that would result in lower pay and long hours much to her dismay. She proposes that he take some time to look for a better position, rather than just accept anything. But he doesn’t feel comfortable not having a job and just sitting around. In this case, I can understand both of their perspectives. Lindsey feels like now is the perfect time for him to have time to himself because he can dedicate that time to their marriage. But I can also understand how he is hesitant to not bringing any money into the household. Honestly, after all of Lindsey’s outbursts I would be afraid that would just become another thing to use against me.

Mark invites Chris to join him to look for a gift for Lindsey for their one month anniversary. He finds a store that sells items that she would love. After they find the perfect gifts, he vents to Chris about the struggles in their relationship. He admits he isn’t ready to say he is in love with his wife. Later, he surprises her with a date in nature, complete with a bonfire. While looking at wedding pictures, Mark gets emotional thinking about all of the times that he may have hurt his wife over the past four weeks.  He decides to be more open minded about Lindsey and their marriage. I honestly believe these two could work if they give each other some grace and learn to compromise. She will also have to stop saying things that she can’t take back, when she is hurt. As much as he wants to be in a relationship, I don’t think he has ever experienced anything like his wife. It’s going to take a while for them to learn how to navigate those waters.

 

Noi and Steve

Noi meets with one of her friends and gushes about Steve.  Although things are going well, there is still an elephant in the room, his employment status. While celebrating their one month anniversary, the two exchange gifts while sitting by the water. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw he got matching leopard print outfits for Noi and her dog. He even bought a leopard print button down for himself for family pictures. They then go on a boat cruise and eat sushi while reminiscing about their marriage up until this point. I don’t know why, but these two are just so cute to me. Steve better come up with a plan so they can stay married.

Jasmina and Michael

Michael talks to his friend about his issues with Jasmina. He shares that he was annoyed that he felt that he was putting forth so much effort, only for it to go unnoticed. But he comes to the realization that it doesn’t matter what he does if it isn’t what his wife needs to be comfortable. Michael makes it clear that he is willing to do what is necessary to move forward with Jasmina in a positive direction. I hate to say it, but I don’t think them getting along will last.

Michael surprises Jasmina with brunch, gifts while they reminisce about how happy they were on their wedding day. To reignite the spark, he suggests they rewrite their vows and recite them later that night. I must say that Michael is really pulling out all the stops. He even brings Jasmina to the place they got married for a romantic dinner. I was shocked to hear her vows. She actually addressed many of their issues and commits to making some serious changes. Hopefully this is sincere and will be a start of more positive encounters. If she didn’t acknowledge his effort after this, I was prepared to completely write her off.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Recap: The Difference Between Confidence And Arrogance

We’re back from the Big Apple and fully in the OC this week on The Real Housewives of Orange County. But that hardly means the consequences from Heather Dubrow choosing to bring Gina Kirschenheiter along on her trip to New York won’t continue to reverberate through the group in the weeks ahead. Because is it even Housewives if we aren’t watching the women jockey for position within their circle? Watching the social dynamics of these rich women play out on screen is ultimately what keeps us coming back week after week, season after season. Right?

To get re-acclimated to her sunny California life, Heather decides to throw another party. This time, it’s a wrap party to celebrate the completion of filming on her and Terry Dubrow‘s new show 7 Year Stitch. (Conveniently, the one-hour special premiered a couple of weeks ago over on Bravo’s sister network, E!…) This time, the party’s also in the basement of Chateau Dubrow. And Heather has decidedly not invited all the other ladies to the soiree. Because we all know how well that worked out last time. Instead, only Gina and Dr. Jen Armstrong make the guest list for this intimate celebration.

Having been in New York, Heather‘s a bit out of the loop. So she’s shocked when Gina informs her that Dr. Jen‘s been toying with the idea of a trial separation with her husband, Ryne Holliday. The last time she saw the couple was at the rather disastrous dinner party she threw for them. But have things really gotten this much worse so quickly? Apparently not, because Dr. Jen waltzes into the party with Ryne trailing behind. Which is a marked improvement from what this recapper suspects was his complete refusal to film during last week’s episode.

Dr. Jen insists her relationship with Ryne has turned a corner and they’re back on the right track. At the very least, he’s not moving into an Airbnb…yet. And besides, there’s much more pressing gossip to discuss. Like Shannon Beador‘s competition about which group was having more fun while Heather and Gina were in New York. And Noella Bergener trying to passive-aggressively pick a fight with Dr. Jen at the cooking night. The doc didn’t exactly appreciate her fellow newbie’s whispered asides and criticisms about her. To the point that she’s considering disinviting Noella from an upcoming event she’s throwing. Which is an idea Heather, for the record, is all for.

Speaking of Noella, it seems the polarizing rookie still doesn’t have many allies in the cast to film with these days. So this week, she’s left going to dinner with her mom to move her personal storyline along. And let me tell you, joking about being lovers with your mother is certainly an off-putting way to kick off a scene… Noella’s divorce drama with James Bergener continues to get mired in complications. Apparently, his corporate lawyers now want a seat at the table, but Noella just wants the entire ordeal to be wrapped up as quickly as possible. She’s already moving on with her life and gunning to set up her “fresh start” storyline for Season 17. Fun fact: we also learn during the scene that Noella’s actually burned through two marriages in six years. And also that her dad is the late, longtime NBC weatherman Christopher Nance.

In other news, Emily Simpson rounds up her entire family to attend Shane Simpson‘s swearing-in as a lawyer in the state of California. It’s such a happy moment to see Shane finally (finally!) surpass this hurdle that’s been in front of him for so many years. Emily couldn’t be prouder. And honestly? Neither could I. And not only is it an accomplishment of a long-sought-after goal in Shane’s life, there are benefits for Emily too. Namely that she doesn’t have to be quite so career-driven anymore. So she can spend more time doing other things, like volunteering for the California arm of The Innocence Project. We see some of that this week when she meets with Terrill Swift, a prison reform advocate who served 14 years for a crime he didn’t commit before his sentence was overturned thanks to the Center on Wrongful Convictions.

It turns out, Heather‘s not the only one throwing a fancy get-together this week! Dr. Jen‘s hosting a party in her home to unveil the latest technology she’s adding to her medical practice: customized neuro-cardiac-guided TMS. Or in layman’s terms, personalized brain scanning. But first, she has to finalize the guest list, which means making a decision about whether or not to disinvite Noella. Ultimately, the medical aesthetic doctor decides to split the difference with a terse phone call to her frenemy. Dr. Jen explains that the event is both personal as well as professional, and she’d rather Noella not even bother show up if she plans on making snarky comments behind her back or causing any kind of commotion. But Noella promises to be on her best behavior for the night — probably because she doesn’t want to risk missing a group filming event.

Dr. Jen‘s brain scan party begins, and I have to say the theme is definitely a first in RHOC history. As is Heather bringing a bucket of KFC as a gift for the hostess, but that’s a whole other thing. Emily arrives first, and the rest of the women trickle in one by one as she’s getting her brain scanned in another room. Gina‘s brought her ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter and his Kelly Dodd lookalike of a girlfriend in an effort to research the brain scanning technology for the benefit of their daughter, Sienna, who’s experiencing some sensory delay. But even as well-intentioned as that is, it makes me uncomfortable anytime Matt’s onscreen. I don’t care how copacetic things are now. All I can think about is the domestic violence dispute that sent him to jail and Gina tearfully reading that victim impact statement in court.

On the other hand, the person I’m absolutely thrilled to see in attendance is none other than Jeana Keough! I’ve yammered on and on for weeks about how this season reminds me so much of vintage RHOC. And the OG’s surprise appearance only further proves my point. Just last year, she was narrating the premiere of Season 15. But here she is on our screens again! Also, I have to admit I’ve been waiting for some kind of crossover between OG Jeana and newer model Gina ever since the latter joined the show three years ago. Just for the sake of their names, you know? And the funniest part of it all is that Dr. Jen doesn’t even know Jeana. She just happened to be a plus one of a mutual friend! The OC really is a small world.

The cocktails, mingling (and light gossip from Noella) are interrupted by Dr. Jen‘s presentation on the brain scanning technology. And frankly? As groundbreaking as the treatment is, a 30-minute Powerpoint about traumatic brain injuries and damaged neurons kind of kills the vibe of the party. Even though that’s ostensibly what everyone’s there to celebrate. But in the end, Dr. Jen brings her speech full circle by explaining that expanding her practice to include brain scans is incredibly personal considering her father actually died from a brain injury that was the result of getting hit by a car on his bike. So who knows how this technology could’ve helped him if it had been available in the wake of his accident.

With the heartfelt (and academic) portion of the evening over with, let’s get to some drama. Which means it’s time for Shannon to confront Gina over all the accusations of jealousy that have been flying back and forth between the two. What about, exactly, Shannon doesn’t know, but she’s determined to get to the bottom of all the rumors she’s been hearing. Gina may not be envious of Real for Real Cuisine, but she does cop to thinking Shannon’s jealous of her budding friendship with Heather. Of course, Shannon fires back that Gina’s ego and self-inflated sense of importance need to be taken down a notch or two. But just as the argument starts gaining steam, the screen cuts to black and we’re treated to yet another “To Be Continued…” So it looks like we’ll have to wait until next week to see how this long-simmering fight pans out.

Vanderpump Rules Stars React To Katie Maloney And Tom Schwartz Split

Vanderpump Rules has really been doing a number on relationships lately. Call it the reality curse if you will, but whatever it is, it’s happening. First, we had the not so surprising split between Lala Kent and Randall Emmett. Then we had the very surprising on camera break-up between James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss. And now, comes the news that Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are ending their marriage.

This is kinda sad. Afterall, this is basically the only couple that was together before Pump Rules started and stayed together the entire run. Can you imagine if Stassi Schroeder and Jax Taylor were still together? Or Kristen Doute and Tom Sandoval? Shocker.

We weathered Tequila Katie, Tom‘s many, many, many incidents of cheating, and two (TWO!) weddings. We’ve watched Schwartz and Katie get dogs together, buy (and furnish, I might add… looking at you Ariana Madix and Sandoval) a home together, and most recently, embark on an IVF journey in an attempt to start a family. No thanks to Sandoval, I might add. And don’t even get me started on how many times we’ve heard them call one another “Bubba” or some iteration of the word. Bleeech.

Thankfully, we will hear Bubba no more. The rumor mill has been speculating about a split for some time now. Katie has been taking selfies without her ring and the two have been spotted out with mutual friends separately multiple times. Now, E! News has shared that after twelve years together, Tom and Katie are going their separate ways.

It looks like the split was Katie‘s decision. Schwartz posted to his Instagram feed that he, “Fully respect[s] Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy. After 9 years on a reality TV show it feels a little tone def to say ‘please respect our privacy’ (especially while posting this) so instead I’ll ask [you] to please be kind.” I like that. No hiding behind the fourth wall here.

Tom sadly continued by stating the obvious. “I don’t think we were ever a model couple. Maybe we are model divorcees. A dubious title I suppose. I’ll be fine. So, I’ll shut up now and say it one last time, love you Bub. Always & forever you’ll be in my heart.” I could have lived with out one last Bub, but I digress.

Katie also took to Instagram to confirm the break-up. “I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you. After 12 years on an adventure through our life together Tom and I are ending our marriage. This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose.” Take that Lala. We don’t have to pick sides. However, I can’t help but wonder if Stassi and Beau Clark or Jax and Brittany Cartwright will.

For now, however it seems like Katie and Tom both have everyone’s support. Stassi and Ariana both commented “I love you,” on Katie’s post. And a “Love you both so much,” on Schwartz’. Do you think they got together to coordinate responses?

Raquel chimed in with, “Sending love Katie.” You just know Raquel’s feeling her pain right now. Whatever animosity there might have been between the two before.

Even Kristen got in the action sharing, “love you both forever.”

While Beau shared three heart emojis with Katie and wrote, “love you bro!” on Tom‘s. Say what you want, but this is a cast made up of real relationships. They were friends before they started filming. Stayed friends while filming. And have one another’s backs. Even after contentious reunion shows.

I do wonder, however, how this will affect a potential next season? There’s got to be some fallout, no? Sandoval may be gleefully excited that he doesn’t have to rename “Schwartz and Sandy’s” just to appease his partner. There’s still “Something About Her” to contend with.
