Married To Medicine Recap: Trouble in Spa-radise

Last night’s episode of Married to Medicine gave us all the drama we missed in Cabo.  I wonder when these ladies will just accept that most of them aren’t friends. I think the term “friend” is being thrown around too loosely. These ladies are more like frenemies than anything else.

Back from Cabo, Quad Webb-Lunceford celebrates being single with Cynthia Bailey. Toya Bush-Harris starts planning a big housewarming party. Scott Metcalfe and Contessa Metcalfe have a major breakthrough in therapy. Buffie Purselle throws a spa day to reconnect friendships. Let’s get straight into the Married to Medicine recap!

Quad in a horrible wig meets with Cynthia Bailey  for cocktails. While discussing their divorces, Quad is still upset she was blamed for the breakdown of her marriage. Cynthia can also relate and still faces criticism. Cynthia encourages Quad with her own love story and thinks the same could happen for her. Maybe if Quad changes her nasty attitude.

Toya talks to Eugene Harris about having a housewarming party.  She wants to invite 100 people and budget $10,000 for the event. It wouldn’t be Toya if she didn’t have a party to celebrate all of her good fortune. I don’t doubt she also wants to flaunt it in the face of some of the women who doubted her. I can’t blame her. If my house was that fabulous I would entertain as much as possible.

Contessa and Scott have another therapy session at home. Scott realizes he may have guilted Contessa into quitting grad school. He also admits he may have made comments to the kids that didn’t help the situation. The therapist thinks Scott sabotaged Contessa subconsciously.

Scott wants her to go back to school and finish. This makes Contessa extremely happy. I still don’t think the issue was school, it was the location. But I am glad these two came to a resolution. Watching them argue about the same topic was becoming tiresome.

Buffie has a spa date and invites all the ladies. Mariah Huq comes with her sister, Lake. Mariah claims she broke her foot in Cabo and brought Lake to help her. It’s clear she just wanted back up. Heavenly Kimes anticipates that there will be drama considering her accusation against Quad. Nonetheless, the women get on the party bus and head to the lake house.

Very quickly it’s apparent Jackie Walters is still not on good terms with Buffie. Toya breaks some of the tension by moaning a lot and making everyone uncomfortable. A yoga instructor arrives and surprises everyone with goat yoga. This is when I would have excused myself and made myself a cocktail. After the session, Heavenly wants to address the elephant in the room. Of course, that happens to be Lake and the accusations made about Quad.

Quad doesn’t want any part of the discussion. Toya asks what Lake needs from Quad.  Contessa wants Toya to stay out of it. Lake says that her friendship with Quad took place before the other friendships with the other women. So there are things they will never truly know. All in all, we will never truly know what really happened. No one is going to admit to lying. Apparently, Contessa pipes up a little too often and is told to “zip it” by Lake.

After the spa day, it doesn’t seem like Buffie and Jackie made any real progress. In a post interview, Jackie thinks things have improved between them. Ummm… no! I don’t know what world Jackie is living in. I am slowly but surely growing to dislike this new Jackie. All Buffie wanted was a genuine apology.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: Not Becoming

Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta went deep into toxic relationships.

Cynthia Bailey is doing anything to make #CHill a permanent arrangement. Cynthia is even cleaning out her closet so she can convince Mike Hill to move to Lake Bailey. Basically she wants to hold Mike captive there, and he would easily be buried alive in the mess that Cynthia calls a closet!

Kenya Moore comes over to do a closet consult and is appalled by the hoarder situation she sees. Cynthia’s closet may be a mess, but her new interview look is sublime!

Kenya is very concerned about the status of #CHill (She is the only one!) Kenya wants to know: is Mike going to propose? Is Cynthia rushing? Is Mike really planning to move to ATL? Is this move taking too long? But Kenya needs to worry about the status of her own non-marriage to Marc Daly. She can read all the Michelle Obama biographies she wants for marital advice, but if Marc isn’t willing to participate, Michelle cannot fix Kenya’s life!

Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss is dealing with Todd’s ADD approach to businesses and parenting. First Todd randomly bought a tractor trailer? Why? To haul all his bullshit and secrets away from the streets? Now Todd wants to open two more restaurants, but in the meantime, he’s forgotten he has daughters. He’s not speaking to Kaela even though she lives in their house, and he can’t seem to remember that they have a baby on the way. Kandi complains to Carmon that Todd’s ambition for what Kandi’s bank account can accomplish is stressing her out. Kandi’s one to talk though – she just launched a lipstick line and is always running around trying to start plays, and launch a million projects.

Kandi biggest concern though is that she doesn’t know if she and Todd can be on the same page with parenting. They both make all the decisions when it comes to their children from previous relationships, but Kandi spoils Riley while Todd ignores Kaela. When it comes to Ace, Todd is involved, but Kandi worries that their differing parenting styles could create mayhem.

For instance Todd skips town for another ‘business venture’ on the day Kaela permanently moves to NYC, leaving Kandi to take her to airport. Even though Kandi and Kaela have a distanced relationship. Kaela can’t even remember if Todd said goodbye before he left. Remember when we all liked Todd? Yeah, now I understand what Mama Joyce saw.

On the bright side, Kandi’s interview look is also amazing. I love her with short hair.

And then there is Porsha Williams. Oh Porsha… For some odd reason Marlo Hampton is still around, but Bravo is really making her work for her screen time by forcing her to rent one of those party pedal bikes to cruise around Atlanta in the mid-afternoon heat. I am so confused by this – the operative word is “party,” yet it is only Porsha and Marlo on the bike. Did the other women refuse to attend after the fiasco that was the wig launch? Predictably Kenya is unrepentant after her band stunt, and Cynthia is now questioning her friendship with Marlo and wondering if she’s the one who secretly recorded her and sent it to NeNe Leakes. Until Cynthia has answers, Marlo is enemy number one.

Despite her own issues with NeNe, Porsha still considers Marlo her ride or die. Literally. For the party bike, party of 2 outing, Marlo is wearing a full sequined outfit with a crop top that doesn’t cover her boobs. The underboob is flying out.

Porsha and Marlo are not only drinking, but smoking a hookah too. It’s a good thing there is a backup battery on this bike because otherwise they never would’ve made it to The Hot Dog Factory to stalk Dennis McKinley enabling Marlo to enact her plan to get Porsha and Dennis back together again.

Marlo needs to quit with the diplomacy act. Marlo cannot put these Humpty Dumpty relationships back together again. On the bike she complains that Porsha isn’t being more open with the group about what’s going on with Dennis, but it’s hard for Porsha to even talk about it given that she’s so confused about what to even feel.

Somehow this becomes about why Porsha isn’t giving Nene another chance at friendship. Um, maybe because NeNe is an unrepentant jerk who called Porsha fat days after she had given birth?! Also when did Marlo become the ambassador to NeNe Island? She needs to be recalled for Fashion Rights violations.

Marlo wants Porsha to be like Michelle Obama and go high even when NeNe goes low, but Porsha’s political acumen got run over by the Underground Railroad. Everyone needs to stop referencing Michelle Obama! She doesn’t have anything to say about Real Housewives Of Atlanta.

But at least is Porsha is going to stand her ground – she’s not going to let Dennis OR NeNe mistreat her. Fool her once, shame on you; fool her 5 times; shame on you. Well in theory, because the next thing Porsha knows the party bike is pulling up in front of Dennis’ hot dog store and as if in a trance Porsha moves towards. The thing she misses most about Dennis is free hot dogs after all!

Marlo is obsessed with Dennis! She’s about to climb into Dennis’ bun now that Porsha has vacated it, and she is acting like the man did nothing wrong by cheating on his pregnant fiancé. This, and her friendship with NeNe, tells you all you need to know about Marlo’s standards…

Speaking of, NeNe has her life coach over for cocktails so she can be reassured that nothing is ever her fault. NeNe is on a “self-healing journey,” which means her ever selfless friends need to understand that it’s still all about NeNe as she’s working on herself. As part of that process NeNe cannot apologize until she’s certain the apology is deserved. How convenient! Essentially NeNe only wants her friends for what they can do for her and it’s their fault she has been iced from the friend group.

NeNe is re-writing history to make herself the victim, but we SEE her. Since no one understands her journey NeNe isn’t sure she can trust her vulnerable emotional state on the girls trip to Canada. Meaning that away on a trip NeNe’s former fiends will have ample time to CALL HER ASS OUT when she can’t run away. Just shut up NeNe and stop secretly recording your friends!

Cynthia and Mike meet Eva Marcille and her Mike for dinner at some weird bowling alley that involves throwing footballs at bowling pins. I did not get it. The talk of the table is the secret recording session NeNe made of Cynthia supposedly talking crap. Mike is a defense attorney and although NeNe is shady as hell and a terrible friend, she didn’t break the law by having Cynthia recorded.

Yovanna denied being the culprit, but Cynthia ins’t so sure she’s telling the truth. Her other pick is, of course, Marlo. Eva is convinced that Marlo is the one, but is she?

Then they play Mikes Vs. The Models to determine if Cynthia will move to LA (and give up her only lucrative job), or Mike will move to ATL. The loser moves. Obviously Cynthia loses. So Real Housewives Of Orange County time?

With her marriage in dire straights Kenya goes to an attorney to see about putting all her assets in a trust for Brooklyn in case Marc kills her Lifetime Movie style she dies. Kenya is basically afraid Marc will get her money and nothing will be leftover for her daughter. Marc didn’t want a prenup so there is nothing protecting Brooklyn except for Kenya, and Marc also has other kids plus several businesses. The attorney is no nonsense, but Kenya is a ball of tears as she admits she doesn’t even have anyone to put as the executor of her will because Marc can’t even be trusted to be her medical proxy. Um, where’s Aunt Lori?!

Lastly Porsha and Dennis go to therapy to try and decide if they can try to give their relationship another chance. At first it was HELL NO because Dennis kept referring to his cheating as “a mistake” when it was calculated and orchestrated. Porsha cannot even begin to forgive until he takes full accountability in admitting that it was a choice. YES, Porsha.

How refreshing to see that therapy is working for Porsha. Contrast that to how it has not worked for NeNe.

Dennis blames a difficult pregnancy and awkward postpartum/pregnancy non sex for the reason he stepped out, but Porsha is horrified and disgusted. (ME TOO!) Mostly she’s angry and disappointed. After a lot of real-talk yelling and some apologizing from Dennis, Porsha agrees to consider trusting Dennis again, but she will not let PJ see her mother disrespected by her father nor will she let her daughter grow up in a house of “Fake love,” so Dennis either has to make the choice to be faithful or they will work towards peaceful co-parenting and that’s it. Good for Porsha!

Dennis promises he wants to be a family, and Porsha seems pleased to be working towards reconciliation. I don’t think this is a good idea, but I understand her wanting their family in tact. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. And probably also read the Michelle Obama book.

90 Day Fiance Recap: The Truth Shall Set You Free

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance was entertaining, to say the least. We learned many of these individuals are even more desperate than we originally thought. The truly entertaining part is that they are finally realizing it. I love it when reality sets in! Can these 90 Day Fiance couples make things work or will they decide they are better off alone?

Michael Jessen and  Juliana Custodio continue to discuss the prenup. Angela Deem goes wedding dress shopping. Emily and Sasha arrive in the United States. Robert and Anny go apartment hunting. Anna Campisi gives Mursel Mistanoglul an ultimatum. Natalie panics about her differences with Mike. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance recap!

Michael, 41 (Greenwich, Connecticut) and Juliana, 23 (Brazil)

Michael has to break the news to Juliana that if they ever get a divorce she will not be leaving with a visa AND his money. To add insult to injury, it was Michael’s ex-wife, Sarah, who informed her of the plan for a prenup.

Michael, your ex is way too involved in your relationship. I don’t think any woman would appreciate being in this situation.

Just a few weeks until the wedding, Michael takes Juliana to a mediator to discuss the pre­nup. I actually felt bad for Juliana during the meeting. I’m glad she had a mediator who understood her interests because Michael surely didn’t. Once the mediation is over, Juliana decides she wants to be independent. She can’t fully rely on Michael. Well, at least she knows.

She recounts when they broke up a year ago and she wasn’t able to depend on him financially.  On the way home, Juliana becomes emotional when she realizes how much she needs Michael to survive, at this point. She knows he has all the power in the relationship because she has no money. Well, at least she is realizing this sooner than later. If she is smart, she will get him to invest in a business that is just her name, while they are married.

Emily, 28 (Portland, Oregon) and Sasha, 31 (Russia)

Sasha and Emily are welcomed back to America by her mother and sister at the airport. Sasha might as well be chopped liver. All eyes are on the baby and they barely recognize that he is there. When Emily’s family finds out the full truth about his past, they may never look in his direction again.

Sasha has his first taste of American cuisine, sugary cereal. A health-conscious Sasha is shocked and decides to whip everyone into shape, including Emily’s sister. I’m not sure how this living situation is going to work with him critiquing everyone’s eating and exercise habits.

Emily’s sister is shocked that Emily works out now.  In high school, Emily took band, just to avoid physical activity. At the gym, Emily shares her insecurities with Sasha. She worries that she could be his third ex-wife if she doesn’t  maintain her weight and appearance.

Angela, 53 (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael, 29 (Nigeria)

Angela prepares for Michael Ilesanmi’s arrival to Bumpkinville in just a few months. Michael is in for a rude awakening when he steps into Mimaw’s home daycare Angela’s house. Angela has a family meeting with her mother, daughter, and the grandchildren to set some ground rules. Rule number 1: Michael’s in charge! Ummm… chile please! We all know Angela wears the pants and penis in that relationship.

Angela takes her daughter wedding dress shopping with her. This should be good! Angela comes out in the first dress. All  I can think is she needs to invest in a good bra. But with a few more sessions of Botox and a professional glam squad, she may just surprise us all.

Mike, 34 (Seguim,Washington) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)

Natalie decides to drag Mike to church despite the fact that he believes more in aliens than God.  Hmmm… Something tells me this isn’t going to go well. Natalie takes him to a beautiful church on a mission to save his soul. She reveals that she is scared of people who don’t believe in God. Girl, you were just asking him to marry you and have a baby and now you are scared of him?  Sigh! If her goal is to build a man, she may want to look elsewhere. He doesn’t seem like the type to just roll over and allow someone to control him.

The next morning, a cheery Mike walks into the kitchen to find a sulking Natalie. If looks could kill! Michael is completely confused as to why Natalie is upset and doesn’t want to translate her mother’s conversation. We find out she is angry that he doesn’t want to have a baby yet. Umm… is anyone else getting a crazy vibe here?

This woman was just going off about him being an atheist, now she wants to plan for a baby again. Natalie has a full emotional breakdown and runs to the bedroom to cry. Run, Mike, run! Something is definitely off here. I understand a woman’s biological clock, but he did tell her upfront he wasn’t ready for a child just yet. It’s like she has totally dismissed everything he told her about himself. The delusion is real!

Anna, 38 (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Mursel, 38 (Turkey)

With the pressure of the upcoming wedding, Anna’s friends throw her a bachelorette party.  When the drinks start to flow, the interrogation begins. Everyone is concerned that she may be rushing into things and making a mistake. I am concerned as well after learning she can only drink once a week and there will be no sex on those occasions. Boring! No, I am kidding.  I am more concerned about the example she is showing her kids by marrying someone who won’t accept them.

Mursel senses something is off with Anna and questions if she is happy. She tells him she isn’t okay with hiding her sons anymore. Thank goodness! She gives Mursel an ultimatum, tell his family or the wedding is off.

Ughhh… I can barely watch them. It feels dirty. It’s like watching her attempt a relationship with a child. Mursel pouts and asks her to sacrifice for him, as he has done for her. Does he expect her to just act as if her children don’t exist? Anna, you needed your friends and family to tell you this was wrong?  You look desperate, sis. I’m sure some man in town would love to have free honey for life.

 

Robert, 41 (Winter Park, Florida) and Anny, 30 (Dominican Republic)

Anny has had enough of sharing the bed with little Bryson and her man. She finally convinces Robert to go look for a two-bedroom apartment.  She immediately falls in love with the first apartment they see. When the realtor reveals the price, I know immediately that it’s a “no.”

Tempers flare when Robert conveniently shares that he already re-signed his current lease for another year. WTF! I’m with Anny. I would have gone off as well. He knew when she was coming to the US. Why would he renew a lease on that tiny apartment then take her to look at new apartments?  The argument in front of the realtor is just embarrassing.

Robert proceeds to call Anny “selfish and inconsiderate” because she is upset. Umm… sir, what did you expect? Who promises a woman something, takes them to see it and then gets upset when they want it? Robert, just admit to Anny that you are broke. She may re-evaluate her expectations or go back to the Dominican Republic.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK NATALIE WANTS TO COMPLETELY CHANGE MIKE? SHOULD ANNY BE MAD THAT ROBERT BROUGHT HER TO SEE AN APARTMENT HE HAD NO INTENTION OF RENTING? ARE ANNA AND MURSEL DOOMED? DO YOU THINK JULIANA IS GETTING THE SHORT END OF THE STICK OR AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A BETTER LIFE?

Porsha Williams & Dennis McKinley Have Emotional Therapy Session On Real Housewives Of Atlanta Tonight

It is so strange watching Porsha Williams struggle with her split (from the cheating) Dennis McKinley on Real Housewives of Atlanta, knowing that in real-time they are back together and hoping to conceive baby number two.

She just seems so hurt and uncomfortable in this relationship. On tonight’s episode, Marlo Hampton tricks Porsha into eating at the Dennis-owned Hot Dog Factory. After that, Porsha hears some tough things from Dennis in a joint therapy session.

Kenya Moore gets prepared for her split with Marc Daly by visiting a lawyer to devise a plan to protect her assets…. just in case.

NeNe Leakes is doing her best to rehab her image after a disastrous season by meeting with her life coach on camera.

Real Housewives Of Potomac Stars Juan & Robyn Dixon Are Engaged!

He finally did it! Juan Dixon proposed to his ex-wife/long-time girlfriend Robyn Dixon! During Season 1 of Real Housewives of Potomac, they were two exes, living together and sleeping in the same bed. Throughout the rest of the seasons, the RHOP ladies (and the fans) wanted to know if the Dixons were ever going to make it official and get re-married.

Now, it looks like Robyn finally has a storyline (outside of house flipping and renovations) for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5. Yes, the show is currently in production, which is probably why Robyn, Juan, and the rest of the cast members haven’t posted anything about the proposal.

As of this moment, no one posted about the engagement, probably for the sake of the storyline, but it’s exciting news for sure. And it looks like the big moment might just be a part of the Season 5 finale, according to various social media accounts.
