Although they normally stay out of the drama, Dr. Jackie Walters and her husband, Curtis Berry, have been sucked into the chaos of Season 12 of Married to Medicine. They can thank Toya Bush-Harris for that.
In the Season 12 premiere, Jackie reminded us about how Toya went on Watch What Happens Live and accused Curtis of getting handsy with some of the women on the cast. When Dr Jackie saw the clip, she subsequently lit Toya up in a cast group chat.
Married to Medicine is always serving scandal
The fallout from the handsy allegations continued in Married to Medicine Season 12 Episode 2. Curtis called out Toya’s husband, Dr. Eugene Harris, for staying silent when his wife was clearly in the wrong. Eugene doubled down in a confessional interview, claiming that Toya didn’t say anything that wasn’t true.
We have a feeling that we haven’t heard the last of this, but Jackie and Curtis are keeping their heads held high. At an event celebrating the M2M Season 12 premiere, they spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the drama.
“It kind of goes with the territory when you sign up for reality TV, you never know what’s going to come up and come out,” Curtis said.
After 12 seasons of doing this show, Curtis and Jackie know that they can’t control what their castmates say. They can only control their reactions, which is why they’re keeping it classy when talking about the allegations.
“Some people, a lot comes out that doesn’t need to come out, but it does,” Curtis continued. “We have 12 years, there’s more to tell, so we’ll see how it goes.”
“And we’re still married,” Jackie added.
Married to Medicine continues on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo, and you can stream it the next day on Peacock.
