Love Island USA star Kaylor Martin stopped by The Viall Files podcast on Wednesday, July 24 to discuss her controversial experience in the Villa.
The 22-year-old was one of only two couples who remained with their OG match for the entire season. However, her relationship with Aaron Evans wasn’t all butterflies and rainbows. When the boys took a trip to Casa Amor, Aaron’s head was turned by newcomer Daniela Ortiz-Rivera. Unfortunately for Kaylor, the romance advanced past flirting. The two kissed a few times throughout the getaway. At the end of the trip, Aaron chose not to pursue a relationship with Daniella and ran back to Kaylor, who had just been sent footage of her boo’s steamy trip.
The two were able to patch things up and left the Villa together but fans weren’t as forgiving. Viewers weren’t pleased with how quickly Kaylor forgave Aaron and it led to a lot of questions about the couple’s relationship.
She answered all the tough questions on Nick Viall’s podcast.

Kaylor Martin had a bad feeling about Casa Amor
On the podcast, Kaylor revealed she wasn’t completely shocked by Aaron’s unfavorable behavior at Casa Amor.
“I knew, deep down, he was going to move that way,” she said. “I had a feeling since I know how lovey-dovey and how flirty he is.”
She added that while she had her suspicions, there was another part of her that thought Aaron would never do that. She told Nick she and Aaron had conversations about Casa beforehand and he told her she had “nothing to worry about.”
“If you love someone, you don’t want to kiss another girl,” she said. “Whenever I love someone, I’m very loyal and very committed to them.”
A part of Kaylor wanted revenge on Aaron
While Aaron was kissing another girl at Casa Amor, Kaylor was back in the Villa crying her eyes out because she missed him so much. She spoke about her decision to refrain from getting to know the new boys in the Villa on the podcast.
“Since I love Aaron, I wasn’t going to go in the Villa and go make out with Jalen [Oliver].”
She admitted she felt tempted to “be petty” after she saw the video of Aaron kissing Daniella.
“After I found out about the video…A part of me wanted to be petty and just make out with Jalen.”
She was in a toxic relationship
Kaylor revealed she was in a toxic relationship before she met Aaron.
“It was very bad,” she told Nick. “We were in a very toxic relationship…He was a very insecure man.”
She explained that he didn’t want her to go out with her girlfriends and was controlling over what she wore.
“He wanted me to be [a] housewife,” she added. “And I hated that.”
Kaylor Martin addressed the hot mic drama
Kaylor found herself in hot water recently after a phone call of her and her friend went viral. The drama began when Aaron posted a seemingly harmless Instagram Story. In the video, Aaron alerted fans that he would be doing a Q&A on the app but fans were more interested in the conversation happening in the background. They faintly heard someone say to Kaylor, “No one’s going to give a f*ck about Leah [Kateb] in six months.”
The video blew up online and fans rushed to the defense of fan-favorite Leah. Kaylor cleared the air on The Viall Files, telling listeners there is no bad blood between her and Leah.
She said she was talking to a friend back home, which cleared up the rumor she was on the phone with her Love Island USA co-star Sydney Leighton. She said. that her friend was trying to comfort her because she was getting a lot of hate from Leah’s fans.
Leah spoke about the viral moment on Call Her Daddy. She told host Alex Cooper that she and Kaylor talked it out right after it happened.
“I wasn’t pressed about it,” she said. “I know Kaylor loves me, I know she does…Why would I fight with her about that?”
