Everything To Know about Sister Wives Alum Meri Brown’s Passion Project

For the last ten years, Meri Brown has allowed cameras into her life via Sister Wives, but she hasn’t always been given a warm reception. Meri often came off as cold and a bit selfish when compared to the other three wives. As the first wife of Kody Brown, she presumed she would be held on some Mormon pedestal. But that is not how her life turned out. Instead, she was treated as the evil stepmother and discarded by the polygamous patriarch shortly after she divorced him for him to adopt Robyn Brown’s children. Meri was left in the shadows for multiple seasons to live off love crumbs. But now she is making her comeback in an unusual way.

Meri’s passion project

Honestly, Meri has been talking a lot of sh*t for what feels like years. The mother of one has teased followers on her social media multiple times regarding a possible Sister Wives tell-all book, a spa getaway that she couldn’t sell tickets to, and her Lu La Roe business. But it seems Meri has finally nailed down a project she has aptly named Worthy Up. Meri made her big announcement in grand fashion sharing a teaser post, writing that “Worthy Up has been in the works for a while, and it’s so fun to see it finally come to fruition!”

The Sister Wives star went on to share, “I’ve spent the better part of the past decade taking a good look at myself and figuring out who I am, what I want, and where I’m going. I had to Worthy Up. This community is a place where I will share my personal experiences of growth and hope to support you in your journey, too.” Meri’s new company is focused on being a community based on “transformation and self-discovery” and “a safe space for individuals to grow, connect, and inspire one another.” Hopefully, Meri will at least try to weed out the catfish before accepting just anyone.

Meri is a guru

Meri often uses the phrase “Worth Up” in many of her posts. Sister Wives fans always assumed it was her mantra for having to digest how she allowed herself to be treated all these years by Kody. It wasn’t until she launched the company that the reality star attributed the saying to an action. In one Instagram post about her breakup, Meri wrote, “If you don’t want to make waves, keep on being mediocre. Do the thing that everyone else is doing. Seek everyone else’s opinion and validation. Do what everyone else thinks you should do.”

Alongside a selfie, Meri wrote in December 2022. “Or … Do your thing. Do your thing in your own time and on your own terms. Let them judge you, let them talk about you. Let them create their own ‘stories’ about you.” The statement felt ironic because for so long, Meri didn’t do her own thing and tried to win Kody back. She would play the role of a third wheel as she tried to win back Kody’s affection.

Fans are skeptical

Before Meri’s new homepage was updated, it showed how Worthy Up would work. There is a limited lifetime membership that starts at $99 and includes access to two videos a month, access to one Q&A a month, and a first chance at upgraded items like add-ons and a coffee mug. The price seems to go up to $149 after the introductory price is finished. In the About Me blurb, Meri seems to think she is a guru. The TLC star wrote that the program will immerse participants in “Meri’s insights and wisdom as she becomes your mentor on the journey to discovering your inner strength.”

But fans, myself included, were not exactly buying what she was trying to sell. I am curious about her qualifications, to be exact. One fan wrote via her Instagram post, “Bless it. She should’ve written a book. This is so scammy.” While another wrote, “This feels very Mormon coded ?” I personally thought Meri was about to soft launch a mean dis track to Kody, complete with a music video. But I was sorely disappointed.
