Gizelle Bryant Justifies Her Beef Against Charrisse Jackson-Jordan; Isn’t Mad At Robyn Dixon For Sharing Her Opinion

I wouldn’t say I was “excited” for the return of Real Housewives of Potomac, but I’m being optimistic and hoping the show finds its groove during its second season. The trailer looked explosive so I have hope. The first episode was alright, but I am so here for the beef between Gizelle Bryant and Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.

Last season was ful of unnecessary etiquette rules and tepid attempts at sass, but this feud is giving me hope for an interesting Season 2. I hate saying that since I assume Gizelle and Robyn were both hurt by the jabs back and forth, but on the bright side, they both have their opportunity to make their mark in the Real Housewives franchise. Most fans haven’t really accepted the Potomac or the Dallas installments as a part of the franchise because they haven’t done anything remotely iconic, but maybe this beef can legitimize Real Housewives of Potomac.

As expected, Gizelle’s Bravo blog was all full of shade and direct insults aimed at Charrisse. Gizelle maintains that she did nothing wrong by spreading rumors about Charrisse’s marriage. She explained, “Since I am the ‘word on the street,’ I have no problem putting your business ‘on the street’ when provoked.” But where are the receipts? Maybe I missed something, but did Gizelle provide any proof about Charrisse’s supposed trifling ways.

Gizelle declared, “Don’t call me out my name or insinuate that I’m a whore, tramp, slut, strumpet, or floozy and I will keep ALL secrets. Now the universal response to not responding is to call EVERYTHING ‘bullsh–.’ It’s how we survive as a society: when busted, deny, deny, and deny three more times. I mean, that is hand caught in the cookie jar 101.” But was Charrisse actually “caught” doing something though? If you want to belong as a Real Housewife, step up your game. Pull a Kandi Burruss and print out some text messages or something, Gizelle.

Poor Robyn Dixon was caught in the middle of Charrisse and Gizelle’s beef. She tried to mediate the situation, which obviously did not go well. AT ALL. Gizelle declared, “I clearly have enough people lying to me all the time so it’s refreshing to have friends that tell you the truth no matter what. Now, Robyn’s truth and MY TRUTH don’t match up right now on the subject of Charrisse.” I always thought that the truth was just the truth, but “my truth” is a concept that reality TV stars just love to exploit to justify their antics.

Gizelle added, “I appreciate Robyn’s perspective but ummmm, NOT TODAY. It feels like Robyn’s wearing a Team Charrisse tee-shirt with matching socks and headband. Robyn is caught up in The Matrix choosing the wrong color pill.”

Gizelle wasn’t done talking about Charrisse. “By the time Charrisse has me cornered in a dark back alley I’m simple OVER IT. Between the Cease-and-desist-Gate, her screaming, and zip code numbers being read. I started thinking this conversation needs a campaign slogan, how do we MAKE CHARRISSE GREAT AGAIN?” She’s really doing the most with these off-topic metaphors and catchphrases. I applaud her for trying, but nothing about this Real Housewives installment feels genuine, especially the sass.

Gizelle kept going: “I started thinking about my mailing address and wondering, ‘Does my zip code qualify me to hear all these f-bombs flying around?’ I was thinking, ‘If I apologize then this conversation will END and we can get to a better place and be happy, drinking champagne, while the sun is shining, eating grapes, and cheese.’ NAAA. Ha!” Well, obviously. This feud is giving her a story line. She needs to continue. It seems like the repetitive zip code comparison is this season’s etiquette talk. Oh boy. It’s gonna be a long season.
