Little Women: LA Recap – Bringing Sexy Back

Good viewers, I regret to inform you that we will be subjected to reliving a moment that no one should have to suffer through twice in this recap today – the “boudoir photo shoot” that Briana Renee and Matt Ericson [Grundhoffer] thought was a brilliant idea. This week, Little Women: LA also brought us an extended version of Terra Jole’s argument with Briana, and bonus footage of new gal, Mary, who Elena Gant decides to haze. But all is not lost! For Terra takes the group on a dildo tour.

We pick up at tequila tasting, where Terra and Briana are going at it over the women’s march – but really, their issues go about 62 floors deeper than that. Briana has a nasty habit of being cool to your face, and very uncool behind your back. And Terra’s not here for it anymore. Jasmine Sorge isn’t either, it turns out, as she jumps in with questions about Briana “stealing” Terra’s manager. Jasmine isn’t drinking the Terra Kool Aid, as Briana surmises, as much as she’s seeing the light after how dirty Briana did her friend Lisa (because it was Lisa’s fault Matt was sending her inappropriate texts, remember?).

Elena is back from Russia, where she was burying her father, who unexpectedly died of a heart attack. She meets Terra for a walk, filling in her in on how sad the experience has been for her, and how emotionally mixed up, given the complicated relationship she had with her dad. Terra relates to Elena’s experience, having lost her father recently as well. Elena cries as Terra encourages her to keep her father’s memory alive for her children. She’s devastated her boys will never know him.

The ladies move on to discussing Mary’s fashion show, for which she’s scouting little people models. Elena already has her guard up, wondering whether she’ll like Mary OR her fashion sense. Prediction: Neither.

Speaking of Mary, she meets Briana out for coffee. (Is she a legit new addition to the show? God knows these women need some fresh blood!) Under the guise of wanting to “get to know” Mary, Briana slides into the convo the fact that SHE is an aspiring model, and has even booked a Maxim photo shoot! Mary smells the desperation a mile away, but sails past it to discuss Tonya Banks, who came hard for her at tequila night. Mary is wary of Tonya, and thinks she – and her supposed “business” – are shady.

Briana wants Mary to know who brings the real shade to the picnic, though: Terra. But Terra is Mary’s friend, and has invited her to contribute to a Sexual Health Expo event. Briana has been invited too (as has the entire group), but she’s hesitant to participate. Mary thinks Terra reached out to her to move on, but Briana is once bitten, twice shy. For good reason.

Over at Tonya’s house, she and her daughter, Angelique, are going through Tonya’s old line of Little Boss Body Activewear. She’s gonna do a freebie of old sh*t when you buy her new sh*t for the low price of…who the hell knows? Because the line isn’t complete yet. She tells Angelique about Mary, who she thinks is a try-hard and a big mouth. (Is Tonya rewatching scenes of herself circa seasons 1-4?) The real issue, however, is how much Terra likes Mary, and how supportive Terra is of Mary’s business. After dogging Tonya’s fashion line last year – remember the lotus logo? – Tonya is still bitter at Terra. Again, for good reason.

Jasmine and hubby Chris are out at a jumpy play place with their kiddos, already talking about baby #3 – well, Jasmine is! She fills Chris in on the Terra/Briana drama, and how she’s pretty much done defending Briana. Jasmine has been down for the cause ever since she met Briana, but times have changed. And Matt’s dirty dog behavior – along with Briana’s incessant defending of it – hasn’t helped matters. Jasmine will be attending Terra’s Sex Expo though. She’s a team player.

Decidedly NOT a team player is Elena, who comes with Terra to visit Mary in her fashion hub. Mary compliments Elena, saying how nice it is to meet another beautiful woman who might wear one of her dresses. Elena’s all, UM – WHO IS THIS CHICK? She immediately gets offended that Mary would assume she’d model for her, which is possibly the dumbest thing to get offended about – ever.

After looking through Mary’s sketches and grilling her about the collection – and why Mary “had to travel across the ocean to fins little people” – Elena’s jealousy is raging hardcore. Her own failed fashion dreams still haunting her, Elena can’t seem to bring herself to play nice. Even Terra tries to calm her friend down, which is the irony of ironies. Offended when Mary asks about her own line, Elena bites back that Mary’s designs are overdone and trite! Unrattled, Mary thinks Elena is just frustrated because her fashion line didn’t work out. Yip. Sounds about right. After Elena unravels further, Terra apologizes on behalf of Elena, then leaves with her, attempting to talk her down in the hallway. Elena doesn’t want to hear reason though, feeling insulted by Mary and by Mary’s obvious success.

Hmm. I don’t know about this Season 6 Elena. I smell production all over this. She is posturing as a dramatic, over-reactor to everything that comes her way and it reeks of Terra Jole’s School Of Reality TV Relevancy. Hey Lifetime – Bring back the real Elena!

Before we head into the next scene, I need a moment to center myself. Yes, we have come to the point in the program in which Briana will drop her drawers and pose for her closeup – all while Matt eggs her on with his limited vocabulary of smarm. Sigh. Okay – here we go…

Briana has always wanted to break into the modeling biz, and she thinks the right time to do it is just after marrying a jobless leech and birthing his baby. As anyone would. Draped in white fur and red underpants, Briana struts her stuff for the camera, excited that Matt can someday say, “Hey, check out my hot a$$ wife!” to his Instagram girlfriends.

Props to Briana for feeling good in her own skin – that is awesome. But it’s interesting that she cut off communication with her family in part because they accused Matt of “fetishizing” her. She doesn’t see the irony in this though, and looks forward to the day when she can slam her Maxim shoot down in front of her haters (ahem, Terra and now Jasmine) and say, “Bam, b*tches!” Matt just can’t wait until the day he can cash the check Briana just earned him.

Back in the semi-real world, Tonya has invited Elena to go shopping to distract her from her grief. They talk about Elena’s emotional rollercoaster…which may be part of the reason she freaked on Mary? Maybe not, as Elena still doesn’t like her. Neither does Tonya, so they’re two peas in a pod. Both women are offended by Mary’s insults to their own fashion lines too. So – Heifers, UNITE!

It’s the day of the Sexual Health Expo, and Mary shows up in a blue jumpsuit to support the cause. The jury is still out on the rest of the group, but Mary is brave to face off with whomever shows up. Christy McGinity Gibel and Jasmine arrive (Christy wasn’t invited, but Jasmine dragged her along for comic relief – which I kinda love her for!), and stroll through a few rows of dildos before greeting Terra and Mary. Just as things seem pretty calm, Briana walks in – then Elena. Tonya is a no-show, which disturbs Terra. Okay, ladies – grab your strap-ons!

After a few sex toy tutorials by questionable vendor carnies hosts, Mary pulls Elena aside to apologize for offending her by bringing up her failed fashion line. Elena says it was just all too much, too soon. Admitting she was a little too harsh on Mary, she says she just didn’t want Mary to assume she’d be involved in her fashion show. She also confesses that her own fashion line was stressful and, without fully saying it, intimates she was hurt and insulted being reminded of its failure. The ladies apologize to one another, and agree to move forward on better terms. Elena is still keeping her eye on Mary, though.

In a sex dungeon elsewhere, Briana confronts Jasmine about taking sides with Terra. Jasmine defends her stance – she’s not siding with Terra! She just doesn’t trust Briana anymore. But if she’s not backing Briana 100% in Every. Single. Argument, Briana takes epic offense. Jasmine is done being Briana’s Yes-Woman, though, and isn’t afraid to deliver this news.

Reminding Briana that she’s had her back since day one – even when Matt was doing his dirt ALL around town – Jasmine breaks down in angry tears as she schools Briana. Jasmine sees Briana for the fair weather friend she is. If she goes against her even once, after everything she’s supported her in over the years, Briana calls her out viciously. And Jasmine has no time for friends who have conditions, one of which is NEVER questioning Briana’s terrible decision making. YES! I AM OFFICIALLY #TEAMJASMINE NOW.

Sadly, Briana delusionally thinks that Jasmine’s opinions are solely being shaped by Terra. What she doesn’t realize is that Jasmine’s (not to mention all of humanity’s) opinions are based on what a sh*t friend Briana is. And that is the actual “Bam b*tches!” moment she’ll never comprehend.

TELL US: IS JASMINE DONE WITH BRIANA FOR GOOD? CAN ELENA AND MARY MOVE FORWARD, OR WILL ELENA AND TONYA MAKE MARY THEIR JOINT ENEMY?

Dorit Kemsley Defends Her Husband; Thinks Lisa Rinna “Caused A Lot Of Arguments”

Apparently the phrase “British humor” is the go-to excuse to defend questionable behavior on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They get to say whatever is on their mind, but they got off consequence free under the guise that the insult was uttered in good fun. I have no idea how Dorit Kemsley thinks that she can get away with British humor since she’s a Connecticut native, but it’s actually working out pretty well for her.

She managed to make this entire season about her and it was only her first year. Clearly, this is a woman who knows how to navigate a social circle. Props to her. Sure, she brought down my girl Erika Girardi in the process, but I have to admit that she really knows what she’s doing. Love her or hate her, she was meant to be a Housewife. That’s for damn sure. She knows how to stir the pot and she looks good doing it.

I doubt that I’ll ever be the president of a Dorit Kemsley fan club, but I have to admit that she’s an asset to this show. Aside from the incessant chatter about Kim Richards– who hasn’t been a Housewife for TWO seasons- Dorit gave the ladies something to talk about. From the questionable accent to the off-putting husband to the army of nannies, Dorit gave us something to watch and comment on.

I was an Erika Jayne fan right from the jump and it really killed me to see her at the center of Dorit-instigated drama, but if I’m keeping it real: Dorit earned her spot next season. The same can’t be said for the other Housewives who just promoted their businesses and talked about the same shit they did last year.

Not only that, but Dorit was lucky enough to be targeted by Lisa Rinna. Yeah, you read that correctly. I said she was “lucky.” Why do I say that? Rinna coming for Dorit in Hong Kong, questioning how much she trusts PK Kemsley, and accusing her of doing cocaine at dinner party made people root for Dorit. It’s like when Kanye West stole that microphone from Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA’s. Sure, that was embarrassing and ruined her night, but she really owes him a muffin basket (or five hundred of them) because it brought so much support her way.

The feud with Erika has some grey areas, but Dorit against Rinna is pretty clear and that’s why Rinna’s bull shit was the best thing Dorit had going for her during her first season. Well that and the fact that she is a Lisa Vanderpump and has her support in return.

Dorit discussed Rinna’s shit stirring in her Bravo blog entry: “Lisa R has clearly caused a lot of arguments and drama with the ladies in this group, and I can see now that it was just my turn, probably as the new girl. I was an easy target. When she brought up the situation with me and Erika again, I couldn’t believe it! It was so obvious she was just deflecting and looking to get more people attacking me.” Rinna took that right from the reality TV star handbook.

Still, I find it tough to agree with Dorit when she claimed, “The insinuation that I have been talking about or torturing Erika the last four months is so preposterous, it’s almost comical. There seems to be a lot of fabricating story in this group sadly.” Dorit talked about Erika and her vagina several times. Other than name dropping Boy George, this is what Dorit discussed most frequently in the episodes. Come on.

On a lighter note, Dorit addressed her accent: “The way I talk…aka, my accent! How funny…who would have ever thought it would be such a fun topic of conversation for people?!  I personally couldn’t really tell the difference between my fashion show press video from five years ago and today, but, oh well.”

Still, it doesn’t seem to bother her since she admitted, “Having a laugh about it is fine. I know how to have a laugh and not take such silly things so seriously. Like it or not, this is me, so ‘nuff said.” Everyone is talking about her accent, so if that was the goal, then well done.  The accent solidified Dorit’s persona as a reality TV cast member. Sure, it didn’t make her seem the most genuine or likable, but she’s a popular topic of conversation.

And of course Dorit defended her husband PK. She wrote, “The most difficult thing for me about the finale and the first episode of the reunion has been how the women have spoken about and treated my husband.” I’m sure that was tough for Dorit to watch. Then again, I’m sure that Erika didn’t like seeing PK claim that he “didn’t mind the view” when he allegedly got a glimpse at her vag.

Dorit recalled, “Erika is the one who invited PK into our conversation with all the women. He did not insert himself in our conversation, nor did he feel it was his place to fight my battles, BUT he is of course as frustrated and protective of me as I would be of him.” Yes, Erika called PK into that specific conversation so it would be ridiculous to claim that he involved himself in that specific discussion. Nevertheless, PK did start this entire story line. He might as well be holding up a diamond in the opening credits. That’s how integral he was to the plot point.

Yes, I feel like he enabled the (annoying) pantygate story line, but I do understand why he would want to protect his wife if he felt like she was getting attacked. As a complete outsider, I didn’t think she was being attacked and felt like she really knew how to hold her own with a tough group of ladies, but if he saw it that way, then I get it. Still, caring about your wife doesn’t take away from the fact that you made jokes about another woman’s vagina multiple times on a popular reality TV show.

Nevertheless, Dorit maintains, “He, much like me, likes to lighten situations with a laugh. We have a lot of banter in our house and in our lives, and we are surrounded by people of the same nature, therefore the assumption that he’s anything other than sweet, gentle and kind is unwarranted and without any basis. He is the furthest thing from a nasty person, in fact. Anyone that knows him would laugh that off as a joke.” Ah yes, those British “jokes.”

Scheana Marie Launches “Scheananigans” A New Digital Talk Show; Gets In Twitter War With Stassi Schroeder!

There’s certainly some serious ch-ch-changes in the air on Vanderpump Rules – and Scheana Marie is not only done with Mike Shay, but with Stassi Schroeder as well! At least according to their latest twitter feud…

Last night Scheana announced the launch of her new digital talk show “Sheananigans,” and her first guests were Ariana Madix and Lala Kent. This obviously did not meet the approval of the Three-Headed Shebeast Regulations Committee. Because Lala = EVIL.

After being forced to confront her ex-husband Shay on Part 3 of the reunion, Scheana advertised the live airing of “Sheananigans” and urged viewers to tweet questions for her, Ariana and Lala. “Part 3 of the reunion was one of the hardest things I’ve ever filmed on #PumpRules,” she announced on Instagram, “but I am so thankful to have some really amazing friends by my side. Immediately following the show tonight at 9pm EST/6pm PST I will be doing my first live @scheananigans show here on Instagram to say all of the things I didn’t get to say Bc it was such an emotional day. (As today has been too) Stay tuned on my insta and I’ll be posting more over the next 2 hours!!”

If you missed the scintillating live broadcast, because oh, I dunno, you’d had enough of Scheana vapidly staring at herself in the mirror mouthing “I feel pretty…” she promises, “It was also professionally shot. Will be edited and posted on my website. Just wanted to air it live for those who could watch.” I checked and the only thing I see are links to buy her music (HA) and a zillion photos of Scheana. Cause – duh.  But because this little show caused  a LOT of residual drama between Scheana and her former friend Stassi, I guess we oughtta watch, right?

According to some viewers who caught “Sheananigans,” Scheana and her girls spent a good deal of time ripping into Stassi for being a bully. They were more than eager to let Stassi know via twitter, so despite the fact that the Three-Headed Shebeast is vacationing in Europe, Stassi couldn’t resist engaging in a twitter offense.

She’s also apparently the boss and executive producer of Vanderpump Rules – sorry Lisa Vanderpump, you’ve been replaced! Earlier this year Stassi decided Lala making friends sign NDAs was a violation of their Pump Rules contract, and last night she declared that “covering” for Scheana’s failing marriage put Stassi’s job on the line. [cough cough BULLSHIT cough, cough].

“I put my job in jeopardy to cover for u & protect u for a whole year, yet u use ur first IG live to shit on me. YOU are the bully. @scheana,” complained Stassi. Scheana denied this, “Nothing was in jeopardy… keeping a secret is called being a good friend. Then of course everyone started arguing about whose basic, and a bully, and blah, blah, blah… cause I guess the job of professional reality stars is to always behave like reality stars. One’s work is never done!

Lala also responded to the nonsense, “Stassi. 1. It’s not always about you. 2. It’s 5am where you are…. you stayed up to watch? Go to bed, ya weirdo. #basic”

“When you don’t have any original thoughts & lack the ability to listen to anyone who isn’t complimenting your contouring. Basic,” replied Stassi.

Of course, backtracking, Stassi went on to deny that she saw Scheana’s show, cause she’s like soooooo busy, and stuff, and she only heard about it via twitter. Maybe she’s busy making statement necklaces again? “Jet lagged. I’ve been awoken at 4 am every day I’ve been here. Checked Twitter & saw this filth. Sorry I missed yalls super profesh IG show.”

Well it was “professionally shot,” so what does Stassi know.

Responding to reports that she was “shredded,” and called a bully, Stassi whined, “They constantly paint ME as the bully. It’s not fair.” And since she’s super successful at life and all, “I’d be happy to give them tips on how to be interesting on their own. Call me! :)”

Kristen chimed in with,”Well.. I hope everyone enjoyed the final episode of #PumpRules Season 5! perfect timing for a dumb f–king twitter war.”

Ariana, Lala and Scheana weren’t immune to criticism – they were called out for “taking the low road” over their alleged “brutal” comments. “Low road? You have to be flipping kidding me,” scoffed Ariana. “So on the night of the reunion, we shouldn’t talk about the show and what’s been going on on it? I don’t see how that works”

Ariana denied that she was mean to Stassi, “Nobody has seen what a verbal shredding from me is like. I said she’s never asked to hang out. Wow. How mean of me.”

Ariana also denied saying anything mean about Shay, and wrote that his appearance on the reunion was frustrating because, “Everyone kept talking over him and finishing his sentences. It was really aggravating.”

Of course, since there are 32 sides to every reality TV drama, several others who’d watched “Scheananigans” claimed Ariana, Scheana, and Lala were mostly upset over Stassi’s comments that social media haters make her feel suicidal. You can read about that here.

Given how she treated Shay’s addiction, I don’t really think Scheana is qualified to lecture anyone on handling mental health issues, but again, I haven’t seen “Sheananigans,” and since Stassi hasn’t either, one might not expect her to pitch such a tantrum over hearsay but you know – this is Stassi we’re talking about.

Stassi also retweeted a link to an article about Ariana’s brother Jeremy being arrested for domestic violence, and she tweeted, “When the only one defending their side is an abusive woman beater.” Jeremy had commented that Stassi can dish it out, but not take it.

Naturally Kristen also robustly defended Stassi. Cause three heads think better as one! “I don’t want to hear one of them talking about suicide or self harm and their bullshit awareness about it. Now I’m getting mad,” she tweeted.

Switching gears, Lala thanked Ariana, Tom and even her non-friend James for supporting her throughout the season and the reunion, “thx 2 @ariana2525 @TomSandoval1 @itsjameskennedy & @scheana.U always put me in check, yet defended me. I admire u. cheers 2 u & ur success.”

This is quite an interesting divide for Pump Rules, and, I believe, a pretty solid indicator that the show is restructuring and moving away from Stassi and Kristen. Because every time a special snowflake melts under Lisa’s spotlight, a thirsty little raindrop falls into a martini glass! #PoeticJusticeByBravo

Kim Richards Is Done With Lisa Rinna Using Her For A Story Line

Even though Kim Richards isn’t even a cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the whole entire season has been about her- again. What is it with so many of these women using Kim for a story line? It’s really just bad casting if these people have nothing to discuss other than whether or not Kim is sober.

And Kim is so done with it. She appears on the reunion to put Lisa Rinna in her place. That’s not all though: Kim has even more to say about Rinna exploiting her to get more camera time- again.

I can understand why Rinna would question Kim while she was a cast member on the show. To put it mildly, Kim’s past behavior was erratic. Nevertheless, coming for Kim when she wasn’t even holding up diamonds in the opening credits is pretty desperate.

In an interview with RadarOnline, Kim continued to slam Rinna. She even pointed to her head and claimed, “I just don’t think she’s right here.” Kim declared, “I think that she basically used me as a storyline and it’s over. She can’t do that anymore, I put an end to it, I put a stop to it.”

Kim brought new housewife Dorit Kemsley into the conversation. Kim declared, “There is no more using a storyline about me. Find a new one. Since she realized she can’t do that she’s moved on to Dorit and that made me mad, she’s a young mother with two kids.” Although it was super suspicious when Dorit and a dozen people got up from the dinner table at her own home. Rinna definitely brought that up at the wrong time, but I definitely thought it was pretty questionable when I watched the episode.

Kim brought up that infamous fight in Amsterdam where Rinna slammed a full glass on the table: “The very thing she didn’t like when I said let’s talk about your husband then she’s going after Dorit ‘do you trust your husband?’ and then she going after Dorit about drugs.”

Considering that Rinna couldn’t keep Kim’s name out of her mouth, I don’t blame Kim for showing up to the reunion. Kim explained, “When I got in there and I sat down the first thing I felt was it’s my turn to defend myself, it’s my opportunity since you talked about me all season, it’s my opportunity to speak up and address everybody and I did.”

Tonight is part 2 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. Eden Sassoon and Kim Richards get their turn on the couch. And it doesn’t go all that well. Surprise, surprise. “Drama continues to run high as Erika, Eileen and Lisa Rinna stand their ground against PK’s attempts to explain himself. The women share insights into their various careers and laugh at the over-the-top ways they greet each other. However, things take a turn when Eden and Kim Richards join the ladies. Simmering issues quickly come to a head and it all becomes too unbearable for one of the ladies.”

Little Women: LA Star Briana Renee Discusses Rocky Marriage & The Lawsuit Against Her

Other than the paycheck and relative fame, I have no idea why Briana Renee keeps coming back to Little Women: LA. Every year her marriage to Matt Ericson takes a major hit with new adulterous, shady accusations. Briana evokes sympathy, acts like everything is fine, and then gets offended when the other cast members express concern.

It’s a cycle that never ends. I have to admit that I was initially intrigued by this drama, but I’m so over it now. Aside from this repetitive nature of this story line, it just never seems like Briana or Matt are being truthful…about anything. It’s so frustrating to watch, so I can’t imagine what it’s actually like to costar on this show with her be friends with her. Briana “opened up” about the state of their marriage and some legal issues.

As per usual, I can’t help taking everything Briana says with a grain of salt. Recently she did an interview for the Domenick Nati Show and addressed the lawsuit against her and her rocky marriage. It’s so hard to believe anything she says and I have no idea whether I should have sympathy for her or if I should be annoyed that she is (probably) lying. Once again, I wonder how the cast puts up with this.

Briana was asked about the lawsuit against her for an outstanding payment of $20,000 and to be honest her explanation didn’t really make sense. Briana said, “The fact that it hasn’t been made public means you’re gonna have to wonder where the source came from.” But it is public. It’s always been public. She was handed papers on the show.

Of course, Briana also gave the textbook explanation: “Unfortunately, there is some legal situation going on. Of course, tabloids are always embellished.”

She recalled, “All I can say is that I was served a couple of seasons ago on the show by my former publicist. There’s a legal situation, but it’s not to the extent that was portrayed. I can give further details as soon as it’s all fixed and cleared.” She even admitted that this was all super public, so I have no idea what she’s even talking about, yet she continued to emphasize, “When it’s not already been made public because it’s not at that point, you kind of wonder where the source came from.” What source? We saw this happen in an episode. Clear as day.

The host started to say, “the accusations of you guys having a rocky marriage-” and Briana cut him off confirming, “Oh we do. That we do. That’s on the show.” At least she is admitting (the very obvious) truth.

Briana waxed poetic: “Unfortunately we have had major lows and we’ve had to build back up again and it takes time. It takes longer than the few months that you’ve seen us. Our whole relationship has only been two and a half years. Sometimes people take up to ten years to really get to that place where they want to be.” So it’s alright for someone to get cheated on and humiliated in a very public forum as long as it’s within a decade? Make sense.

Briana said, “Marriage isn’t perfect. I’m not going to sugarcoat anything, we have had a rocky marriage, but it’s not like I don’t hold my own because I sure as hell do.” Sure.

Briana was asked if she and Matt were “on the verge of divorce” and she really had nothing to say other than plugging the show. Briana teased, “That part you’ll have to watch play out on the show because there’s a lot more to that than just a yes or no answer. There’s a lot going on. I’m not saying everything’s perfect right now even.” Has it ever been perfect? That’s the one thing no one would ever assume about this relationship.

Briana added, “There’s a lot of variables in this problem and you’ll see that all play out on the show.” Ah, romance at its finest.

Briana was asked if she was over the cheating and she admitted, “That’s a work in progress.” She continued, “It’s just like anyone else out there, it takes time and that definitely pays an emotional toll on me. It’s all a compilation of a lot of things.” Sounds like a fairy tale love story to me.

Tonight is an all new episode of Little Women: LA. Briana gets upset with Jasmine for being “up Terra’s ass” lately and ignoring their friendship. Terra and Briana are still feuding after Terra belittles Brianna in front of the rest of the crew. Tune in 8/7 CST for the cat-fights and chaos.

Dorinda Medley Thinks Sonja Morgan Doesn’t Want Tinsley Mortimer & Her To Become Friends

Dorinda Medley was all but absent on last week’s Real Housewives Of New York – and that had a lot to do with Sonja Morgan. Dorinda says she thinks that in addition to Sonja trash-talking her around town, the former Toaster Oven Entrepreneur (sorry – had to!) is actively trying to keep newbie Tinsley Mortimer away from her. Thus, Sonja did not invite Dorinda to the Mad Hatter’s tea party she threw in Tinsley’s honor, causing some to lament: What were they doing there without Dorinda?!

“So we finally get to meet the new girl—oh wait, I don’t. But before I get there, let me talk about a few other things,” snarks Dorinda in her blog. “Hannah has decided to move out. It took a long time for Hannah and I to heal after Richard’s death. She decided to move back in with me, and I decided to mother her as much as I could during the aftermath of his death. It was the best decision for both of us, but now after five years she has decided it’s time to move out and get her own apartment. I am happy to say it’s in NYC and not too far away.”

Defending their decision as parents to buy Hannah both an apartment and high end furniture, Dorinda continues, “People in the suburbs buy kids cars—in the city we set them up in apartments. This includes furniture. So Hannah and I did what do have been doing for years in NYC—we went shopping. Jonathan Adler is one of my favorite places. It’s bright, happy, comical, a great place to get ideas and it’s in the neighborhood. She found a couch, and I was more than happy to buy it for her. I want her to have a cozy home, and her father and I are happy to help her reach that goal.” Aww. She’s making it nice, people!

Moving on to the real dirt, Dorinda insinuates that Sonja is, well…kind of insane. “Now onto to the tea party in the Mad Hatter’s townhouse. Oops did I get that wrong? Oh well, I think it’s accurate. No, I was not invited, and even if I were, I would not have gone. But unlike Sonja, I will not be spending a year or even a second thinking or mourning about it.”

Dorinda continues to question Sonja’s intentions – and the alliances she’s trying to build with Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer. “There is definite tension between Sonja and I, and she is looking to get Ramona and Luann to side with her, but I am not sure it’s working. I think one of the real reasons she does not want me there is because Sonja does not want me to meet Tinsley and potentially have us become friends.”

“She clearly already feels competitive about my friendship with Ramona, which brings me to Tinsley. This is is not an easy group of women to meet. Each of us has very unique personalities and are quite strong women. We do not let everyone into the fold like a Junior League social. The added elephant in the room? Tinsley is returning from Palm Beach back to New York City with a mugshot. So I am not sure how smoothly the first cup of tea went, how about you?”

But Sonja can’t keep Tinsley locked up in that spare bedroom forever, can she? Unless that butler has been roped into hostage-assisting now too.

Dorinda closes her blog with some parting comments for Ramona’s hickey, gossip about Luann’s marriage, and Carole Radziwill’s political speechifying – three things Dorinda says she clearly didn’t miss out on by not attending the party. “Much talk of me, politics, Tom [D’Agostino] (what’s new) and Ramona’s hickey (what are you 17?). Overall, it does not seem I missed much, and I have better things to do, like help Hannah start her new life and decorate her apartment. Although I do look forward to meeting this Tinsley character!”

Tinsley Mortimer Thinks Sonja Morgan Is “The Most Generous Friend”

Even though Real Housewives of New York’s ninth season technically started last week, I feel like nothing happened in that first episode. New girl Tinsley Mortimer didn’t even appear until the second episode, so I just felt like episode one was just a recap of where we left off since the reunion aired. Now it feels like the season is finally under way.

Even though we only got a little glimpse at Tinsley, I like her so far and I’m just waiting for that hair tutorial to go up on her Instagram story. I am a little thrown off by her living with Sonja Morgan, but I would probably do that too if Sonja invited me. At this point, that townhouse is nothing short of notorious. Tinsley opened up about her debut and her first impressions of the cast members.

Tinsley responded to the episode in her first ever Bravo blog entry. Unfortunately it wasn’t super juicy, but then again neither was that second episode. I kind of figured she was going to take a jab at Bethenny Frankel after she didn’t receive the warmest welcome from her, but she didn’t. She was pretty positive, which is probably the best move since the viewers are still getting to know her.

She wrote, “As most of you can tell, my life has taken a huge turn! Imagine one year ago being arrested and horribly embarrassed. Then fast forward one year, and I am officially a Real Housewife of New York City!”

Tinsley said, “Sonja Morgan is, without a doubt, the most generous friend a girl could ever have. When she invited me to come back up to New York and get out of Palm Beach, I was on the next plane.” I definitely get that vibe as well. It’s very easy for people to make jokes about Sonja, but she really does seem like the kind of person that would give a friend anything she owns… Well except for Dorinda Medley since she is still bitter about not getting an invite to that Berkshires Christmas party last season.

Tinsley continued, “Sonja has been great trying to get me readjusted back in New York, and this includes dating again. She created THE LIST of dos and don’ts for finding the proper person. Clearly I can use the help! Although I can’t say I always follow its rules, I know Sonja’s intentions were good creating it.” I feel like Sonja’s heart was in the right place, but that list scene was… interesting.

The socialite recalled, “It was so nice to meet Sonja’s friends at the Mad Hatter party she threw for my return to the Big Apple. I knew they had probably read or heard about my arrest, so I was apprehensive about meeting them. Everyone, though, was truly very nice and seemed supportive of what I was going through.”

Tinsley recalled, “Sonja did not invite Dorinda, because apparently there’s still some tension there from last year, but I’m sure I will meet her soon…” Well, yeah. That should be interesting especially since I doubt Dorinda wants to meet anyone who is introduced to the group as “a friend of Sonja’s” let alone her roommate.
