Top 5 Moments Of The Shahs Of Sunset Reunion Part 2

Last week we finally got the long over due first part of the Shahs of Sunset reunion. It was good to see the cast back together again, and hear their thoughts on the latest season.  Noticeably absent however, was newcomer Sara Jeihooni. I guess Sara’s one storyline of being upset her younger brother hooked up with Destiney Rose wasn’t enough to merit her joining the reunion. Better luck next year, Sara!

Still, the rest of the cast was on hand to bring the drama. Mercedes Javid walked off at one point, and Golnesa Gharachedaghi heckled Nema Vand. I guess even motherhood can’t make GG more mature. The main highlight of the night though was the season long feud between MJ, Reza Farahan, and his husband, Adam Neely, over whether MJ encouraged Ali Ashouri to confront Reza with the NSFW texts Adam had sent him. And things got even more heated between MJ and the cast during part two of the reunion. 

Part two was definitely more dramatic than the last episode. A lot of tears were shed, screaming matches had, and friends telling each other to “f*ck off.” Andy Cohen tried his best to keep everyone on track, but it was pretty hard to wrangle this crew! Let’s take a look at some of the drama that happened during the conclusion.

#1: The cast claimed they did reach out to MJ while she was in the hospital

When MJ gave birth to her son, she almost had a near death experience. At the time, MJ said that no one from the cast had reached out to her to check in. During the reunion, Destiney said she did call MJ at the hospital, but MJ told her to, “wait until the cameras are up.” Mike Shouhed said he texted MJ, but was told by her husband, Tommy Feight, she couldn’t have visitors. Even Reza said he was in touch with her. So, unless everyone is lying, it looks like the cast did reach out to MJ after all.

#2: Adam owned up to sending Ali the text messages

Andy spent the majority of the reunion asking questions and getting non-answers in return, but there was one moment where that was not the case. Andy asked Adam if he could take ownership of sending the texts to Ali. Without hesitation, Adam responded yes and noted this whole thing was all “his fault” because his texts gave Ali “ammunition” to set this all in motion. The entire cast (besides MJ) clapped that Adam finally admitted his part in the drama.

#3: Reza revealed why he had blocked MJ on social media

Before the latest season started, social media was abuzz with possible theories as to why Reza had blocked MJ. Reza finally revealed it was because MJ tried to “slander his name” in order to get a raise on the show, and because of the domino effect of Ali saying he felt Adam sexually harassed him via text. MJ then admitted that the texts Adam had sent Ali were not harassment. Better late than never, MJ!

#4: Andy had Mike mediate between Reza and MJ

Andy realized he was getting nowhere with Reza and MJ, so he asked Mike to mediate. Things got very heated, but they both opened up as to why they were upset. Reza was mad at MJ for spreading rumors he had an open marriage, and that Adam was unfaithful. And of course, MJ was mad at Reza for his comment about her uterus exploding, and because he posted about her medical issues online. But, she was also upset about things Reza said way back in season two. Notably, that she only had three hairs on her head, she’s fake, a compulsive liar, and that she had robbed a bank. Ok, these two deserve each other!

#5: Reza and MJ make up after the reunion

As expected, not even Mike could solve the issues between Reza and MJ. So, we cut to four weeks later; Reza is having morning tea and MJ surprises him with a FaceTime call. MJ said she didn’t want to see Reza hurt, and she that she has his back. Reza admitted he needed to communicate better, and not assume she knows why he is upset. MJ noted he was one of the most important relationships in her life, and wanted to know if he would make the effort to salvage their thirty year friendship. Reza agreed, and said he wants an something authentic without any darkness or conflict. Until next season, that is…

90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Recap: The Best Mistake of My Life

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was filled with angry family members on a mission.  Who can blame the well-meaning loved one, when their sole mission is to protect you? I guess two American’s whose story was featured this episode.  I have news for them, It may be too little too late. I have a feeling that some of these relationships are past the point of no return. At this point, it doesn’t matter what new information is discovered, these people aren’t going anywhere.

Drama erupts when Colt Johnson and Debbie Johnson meet Jess Caroline’s family.  Angela Deem refuses to play the role of a traditional Nigerian woman. Larissa Dos Santos Lima  feels betrayed by Eric Nichols.  Elizabeth Potthast Castravet‘s family begins to question Andrei Castravet’s past.  Asuelu Pulaa throws Kalani Faagata under the bus.  Paul Staehle hopes to win over Karine Staehle. Let’s get straight into the recap!

Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andrei (Moldova)

The drama is officially about to start in Moldova. Elizabeth’s father and brother have arrived they are already driving Andrei insane. During the car ride to his parent’s home, we are able to get a few details about Andrei’s past. Apparently, he used to be a police detective and had to leave Moldova for reasons he won’t reveal. Elizabeth is surprised that her husband is being so evasive, since he told her he left for another job opportunity. Hmm… something definitely sounds fishy to me.

Elizabeth’s family wastes no time trying to learn more about Andrei’s past when they meet his family. Things get very tense when her dad reveals that Andrei is choosing not to work. Andrei becomes infuriated when Elizabeth doesn’t back him up and admits she wants him to get a job. Andrei’s family looks extremely uncomfortable by the situation.  But his friend doesn’t hesitate to throw him under the bus by also questioning his choice to stay. Honestly, I think Andrei doesn’t want to work. He wants to sit on a pretend throne and dictate everything while other people support him. Whether Elizabeth’s father knows it or not, he is actually enabling his son-in-laws-actions. If it was me, I would only give him money if he was willing to work in return for it. Andrei has refused a job from his father-in-law on numerous occasions.

 

Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie ex-wife Larissa (Brazil)

Debbie and Colt are surprised when they arrive at Jess’ family home in Brazil. The home is far cry from some of meager accommodations we are accustomed to seeing on this show. Debbie is immediately impressed. I’m sure she assumed Jess was poor and needed Colt for his money.  I guess she can scratch that off of her mental notepad of reasons to destroy her son’s relationship. Colt seems to be having a good time since there is plethora of food and drinks. His comfort level suddenly changes when his ex-wife Larissa and his intentions with Jess become the topic of discussion. He immediately says he loves Jess and wants a family with her. Huh, since when? The final straw takes happens when Jess suggests she and Colt get married in Brazil. Debbie can’t help but speak up when she feels like she is in danger of losing her BFF/son. Jess feels she is being compared to Larissa and totally loses her mind yelling and pointing her finger in Debbie’s face. She even tells her “Fuck you.” Having heard enough, Debbie demands to go back to the hotel.  She is completely shocked when Colt decides to stay. Oh, Debbie you are in danger!  This woman has her claws dug deep into Colt. Personally, I would never let anyone I was dating talk to my mother the way that Jess did. Little Miss Jess needs to be checked. Regardless if they don’t like each other, there should be a basic level of respect. Jess isn’t going to let anyone stand in the way of her visa relationship.

The next morning, Colt visits his mother to talk about the dinner from hell. Debbie is concerned after witnessing Jess’ disrespectful behavior in front of her family. Colt apologizes and claims he doesn’t quite remember witnessing the debacle.  Colt, grow some balls. You were more worried about having sex that night, than your mother’s feelings. Debbie warns him she is seeing the same red flags that Larissa displayed early in their relationship. I don’t know is under a spell or still drunk, but he looks like he is in some type of catatonic state. Whatever the issue, he needs to snap out of it before he ends up making a huge mistake for the second time.

Just when I thought I would stick sharpened pencils in my own ears if I had to keep hearing Colt talk about his sex life, TLC goes even further. Was it really necessary to make us watch him prance around the beach in a swimsuit that looked like he was wearing Jess’ panties? My eyes!  This is stuff nightmares are made from. Colt finally tells Jess he is unhappy with the way she spoke to Debbie. Jess responds by calling him a “baby boy” as if cursing at his mom isn’t an issue. Well, Colt is the textbook definition of a mama’s boy. But if Jess truly wants to be with him, she is going to have to accept that he and his mom come as a package deal. The quicker she realizes that, the fewer problems she will have out of Debbie. So unless she is ready to constantly have an overbearing third wheel around, she may want to run away from this dynamic duo.

After being kicked out by her roommate, Larissa calls her boyfriend Eric to inform him of her new homeless status. He generously offers to allow her to stay with him, despite her wishes to have her own room. I still don’t understand why her friend Carmen went to such drastic measures, but hey, it’s her house. When Larissa arrives at her new home, she is greeted by Eric’s roommate, who doesn’t seem happy about this new arrangement. This whole situation has trouble written all over it. There is no way this is going to last for long.

Larissa meets with a friend in what can only be described as a commercial. Do they believe the viewers are stupid? They literally go into a frozen meal prep business, speak to an employee who gives a shameless plug. They then grab a few frozen dinners then sit down at a table to talk. Insert side eye. Her friend may be able to ignore her melting meals, but she can’t ignore Larissa’s decision to get back with Eric. Larissa explains that despite their issues, she thinks that with time their relationship will grow. Umm, I thought you just didn’t want to be alone anymore.

A few days after moving in with Eric, Larissa goes through his phone. When she discovers text messages from a mystery woman, she decides to call her. The woman seems all too happy to reveal that Eric has said horrible things about her. For shock value she even pretends that she is too offended to repeat some of the things that were said. Larissa is shocked that Eric would dare to speak badly about her to a complete stranger. But didn’t they both do that to each other when they broke up? I seem to remember a restraining order and numerous claims Larissa made on the internet. The woman also reveals that Eric and Colt met to compare notes about her sexually. Ugh… gross. When Eric returns home, the producer encourages Larissa to speak to Eric about what she has just found out. Well, I don’t see this going well. Larissa you may want to lay low until you get your green card and a permanent residence. I don’t think breaking into someone’s phone who is currently housing you and confronting them is the best idea. But, hey, that’s just a suggestion.

 

Angela (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael (Nigeria)

It’s been a day since Michael Ilesanmi made the mistake of taking Angela to meet anyone he dares to call a friend outside of her and she is still mad. In an effort to begin preparations for the wedding, Michael invites his family to their apartment for dinner. On the way to the market, he explains as the woman of the house, Angela is expected to cook and serve the guests. Angela lets him know in no uncertain terms that she isn’t Nigerian and won’t be following their customs. At the market, Angela runs out puking after seeing the condition of market and a goat’s head just lying on the counter. She suggests just ordering a pizza, rather than making a traditional meal for her future mother-in-law. Does she really think his traditional African mother is going to want pizza?

Angela laughs gleefully as she watches Michael cook like a good Nigerian wife. She wants to ensure that his family knows what he can expect in his new life in America. Did she forget that Michael’s mother was hesitate to give her blessing because she thought her son may become a slave in the U.S.? This may not have been the best way to prove her point. When the Nigerian food doesn’t work out, Angela offers Michael’s family pizza instead. Once his mother tries the pizza, she claims she likes it, which probably was only said to be polite. Would it have killed Angela to make one meal for her future in-laws. I can only imagine what they said about Angela when they returned home.

Kalani (Orange County, CA) and Asuelu (Samoa)

Kalani and Asuelu take their children to the park, but the tension is thick between them. Asuelu breaks the ice first and apologizes for his behavior in California. He claims he will change, although Kalani is skeptical. As an olive branch, he asks her to come with him to Washington to visit his mom and sister. Kalani agrees with one condition, that he doesn’t throw her under the bus and they act like a team. That is ironic since she does that very thing to her husband with her own family.

Asuelu video calls his mom and sister to tell them about his intentions to visit. Everything is going well, until his mother asks for money. Nervous and unsure that he can provide the $1,000, he tries to explain his other expenses. His sister is not trying to hear any of his excuses. So with one only one card left to play, Asuelu blames Kalani. Frustrated she always has to play the bad guy, she makes a mad dash to go get the baby. Honestly, if I couldn’t afford to give them money at their whim, I would have no issue saying NO! I know it’s Samoan tradition to help take of the family, but Asuelu has a family of his own to provide for first. He can’t be bringing in that much extra money when he works at a fast food restaurant and has two small children. I’m sure a $1,000 dollars isn’t a small amount of money to them.

 

Paul (Louisville, Kentucky) & Karine (Brazil)

In an effort to keep Karine in America, Paul has secured a new home for his family. Although it’s a small one room home, it looks like a palace in comparison to the other places he originally showed Karine.  Although it’s not what she expected, she is happy that he is taking steps to make her happy. I’m just surprised that Paul even had the forethought to clean the place, before she arrived. I’m sure that was one of the reasons that Karine was willing to accept the accommodations. Now the only thing left to do is for Paul actually get a job.

Love After Lockup Recap: Bad At Being Good

Love After Lockup is back, and last week’s episode did not disappoint. The couples are crazier than ever. LIVING FOR IT. The somehow topped themselves finding these messy new relationships. It’s jaw dropping television the entire episode. For example, Jessica and Maurice have been married for nearly five years. However, THEY’VE NEVER EVEN LIVED TOGETHER. Say what???

The most painful to watch this season might be Shawn/Destinie and Scott/Lindsey. Both of these men are setting themselves up to get hurt. Shawn is definitely being misled by this woman he claims to love. The way she keeps bringing up her weight gain is highly suspicious too. But whatever that’s his deal. Scott’s is hard to watch because he seems to genuine.

Jessica & Maurice

Jessica is looking forward to seeing Maurice for the first time in the outside world. They’ve been married over four years, but this is the first time. WHAT EVEN ARE THESE PEOPLE THIS SEASON?

Maurice got into a bit of trouble, so Jessica hasn’t seen him in over two years. She thinks their relationship may be different when he gets out. YA THINK? It’s going to be such an awkward living situation. I predict a divorce in their future.

Time goes by as Jessica waits, but Maurice is nowhere to be found. She gets really antsy, and things are not looking good. What’s taking so long? It’s been HOURS.

Jessica worries Maurice has been using her for sex the last few years. According to her, before they got married, he was involved with another woman. Not only that, but she sent him money. Jessica could be waiting for someone that doesn’t even want her.

Maurice finally appears, and they’re both thrilled to be together. He actually seems like a really nice and easy going guy. He’s finally out of prison and ready to start his life with her. This could maybe be one of the relationships that lasts on this show. That’s such a rarity.

John & Kristianna

John got a whole ass limo for his surprise wedding. As of now Kristianna is still in the dark about everything. For all John knows, she may turn down the proposal. That would make for an awkward limo ride home.

They have to get to the halfway house ASAP. so the rush is on. He doesn’t have much time to get the wedding into motion. If anything, John is already great television. He has that chaotic energy of Lacey and Michael Simmons. That’s not a compliment though.

In the past John’s chosen women that weren’t a great fit. At the psychotic rate this is going, he might be gearing up for the same result.  Jesus take the wheel with this one. I can’t handle.

The limo driver is all of us watching when he hears about this plan. It’s insane. Totally nuts. Who surprises someone with a limo and impromptu wedding like that? What is he thinking? She could easily turn him down.

John thinks this is the marriage that’ll stick. Possibly. However, she has to say yes first. She doesn’t think they can be in love if they haven’t been together in real life. At least she gets it.

She’s out! She’s just as shocked at the limo as all of us. Kristianna says John is a different kind of guy. He’s different alright. Understatement of the century. I forgot they’ve only known each other for three months. He kneels down at the end of the episode and surprises her with a proposal. SO CRINGE.

Shavel & Quaylon

Only one more day until Quaylon is released from prison. He’s been in jail for all of his adult life, so it’ll be a major adjustment. To me, he shouldn’t have been in prison for that long. It seems a bit excessive given he was a minor at the time.

Shavel’s daughter calls Quaylon her dad, so a bond already exists. A part of Shavel is scared at what’s going to happen. Her mom tells her that she doesn’t want her to be disappointed. Me either. I hate when the young kids are involved because it significantly raises the stakes.

Quaylon’s mother will be accompanying Shavel to the prison for his release. Hopefully they can get along. So many times the mother of the inmate hates the person they love.

He says transitioning back into society will be the hardest part of him getting released. So much about the world as changed. That’s quite a shock to the system. Things change so fast nowadays also. That could get so overwhelming and lead him back into criminal ways.

Shavel’s picking up his mom, and they’ve never met before. They each think Quaylon is coming home to live with them. Oof. Where is he actually going to end up? I don’t think even Quaylon himself knows the answer to that yet.

So far so good when the two of them meet. Everyone’s in good spirits, and there’s no underlying tension. How long do we think that’ll last?

ANNNNND THAT JUST WENT OUT THE WINDOW. Shavel brings up that Quaylon is moving to Kansas City, and his mom is totally caught off guard. His mom doesn’t want him to get out and reconnect with bad influences. That’s very understandable.

They both realize that Quaylon lied to one of them. He’s going to be on the receiving end of a confrontation from both when he gets out. What was he thinking? Obviously they were going to talk to each other eventually.

Scott & Lindsey

It’s release day for Lindsey, and Scott’s so excited to see her. This poor older gentleman really think this woman wants him. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they never meet. Lindsey allegedly wants to marry Scott, but it ain’t for love.

Scott spent $1,200 on a top of the line phone for Lindsey. This woman literally screams GOLD DIGGER. How can he not see what’s right in front of him? Mind boggling.

Scott is naive and doesn’t think she’s a trouble maker at all. In fact, he thinks trouble finds her because she’s attractive. What. Seriously what kind of logic is that? Makes no sense at all. Lindsey on the other hand says she’s bad at being good.

It turns out Scott has a great relationship with Lindsey’s mother and young daughter. It’s to the extent that he’s taken the young girl school clothes shopping. This guy is in so deep with this toxic mess. Under no circumstance does he think this is a scam. HOW DOES HE NOT SEE IT?

My stress level’s going through the roof watching Scott. I want to shake my TV so badly. RUN AWAY MAN. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

Scott is such a decent person. My heart is breaking for him and Lindsey’s daughter already. There’s almost no chance this is going to end well. Everyone’s going to get their life destroyed when she gets out. You can feel it.

Lindsey quit college to sell meth because of the money she was making. She didn’t understand why she’d stay in school when she could make such fast cash. Sure, that was a great plan in the moment. However, look at the end result. She’s been in prison for most of her daughter’s life.

A few years ago Scott’s son was killed in a car accident, and things are becoming clearer. This is his way of having a second chance at a family. I have chills even typing this. If Lindsey breaks his heart, I don’t know if he can handle it.

Shawn & Destinie

Thanks to Shawn, Destinie is getting out of prison the following day. The $5,000 he spent isn’t refundable, but that’s not even the worse. If she runs and doesn’t show up to court, he’s out $50,000. She might cost this man everything.

Shawn’s ex and kids don’t know that he’s dating anyone. This is a hurdle that he might not be able to jump over. Shawn informs his ex Kelly that Destinie’s getting out of prison and moving in with him. She brings up many valid points about this. She says he could be getting played or start using again.

Kelly is pissed that Shawn’s spending money on this prison girl and not their kids. I get that he loves her, but Kelly has such a point. She’s so jealous, but she’s also protective of the kids.

Shawn is actually breaking this news to his daughter in a random Plato’s Closet. She ends up crying wondering why he’s moving so fast with Destinie. My heart goes out to her. She feels like he’s trying to start a new family. Just awful.

Kandi Burruss Comments On Porsha Williams’ Activism And What To Expect For Real Housewives Of Atlanta Season 13

The Real Housewives of Atlanta never cease to amaze, impress, and most of all, entertain. Since wrapping the historical virtual Season 12 reunion, so much has happened. Namely, Porsha Williams was arrested for her protesting the murder of Breonna Taylor. Thankfully, the charges were dropped. She is back to carrying on her family business of fighting racism and standing up for what is equitable. This queen has even teased a new book! Can’t wait!

Watching Porsha come into her own through the years has been a true joy. She’s grown so much since the times of underground railroad confusion and spreading drug and rape accusations. Of course, these rumors directed at Kandi Burruss and started by shady Phaedra Parks, but I digress. Since then Phaedra has been in the press talking about her funeral business and sexless relationship….meh. Let’s get back to Porsha and Kandi, shall we?

Kandi recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the Black Lives Matter movement and Porsha’s activism, telling the outlet, “I love what Porsha is doing right now, I love the fact that she’s stepping up, especially in her grandfather’s footsteps.” If you’re new to the cast and show, Porsha’s grandfather was legendary civil rights leader Hosea Williams. He worked closely with none other than Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Kandi continued, “It’s a wonderful thing to see her step up in the way that she’s been stepping up in, putting her own freedom on the line for what she believes in.” Of course, Kandi hasn’t forgotten Porsha’s previous difficulty remembering key moments in civil rights history. She added, “Clearly in the past, yes, she was not necessarily the person that knew all the things about the history situation, but I mean … that leaves room for growth, and clearly, she has grown a lot over the last few years.” Love that. And grow she has!

The RHOA housewives have never shied away from the discussion of race and civil rights. We’ve seen them at gun violence rallies and speaking to children affected by the water crisis in Flint. We’ve even seen them supporting their LGBTQ family at Pride. Kandi shares, “It’s a reality show, which means you have to keep it real and we have to talk about what’s really happening around us right now.” 

When it comes to specific details, Kandi let us know, “Obviously the conversation of how we get [to equality] is definitely going to be a conversation that’s gonna be had. … I don’t know how it’s going to work — we’re just in the beginning — so we’ll see as it goes, but just like everything that’s happening in our lives we talk about, so it’s definitely gonna be discussed.”

As always, I can’t wait to see these women back on my screen! Rumor has it, there will be two new housewives gracing our screens in Season 13. I’m already buckling up.

Shannon Beador And Her 3 Daughters Tested Positive For Coronavirus

The Real Housewives of Orange County cast has come under fire for their comments and behaviors during the coronavirus pandemic. Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Kelly Dodd all hung out in close proximity for a selfie, which sparked outrage among the fans. And David Beador’s fiancée and mother of his future child Lesley Cook shaded Shannon for this gathering. And, let’s not forget the many times that Kelly has made ignorant comments about coronavirus.

Previously demoted and eventually fired Housewife Vicki Gunvalson slammed the California governor for refusing to open up nail salons when she wanted to get a manicure. At the very beginning of the stay-at-home orders, Tamra Judge caught flack for keeping her gym open. And, most recently, the cast traveled to film a trip, which also incited criticism. And now, Shannon has revealed that she and all three of her daughters have tested positive for the coronavirus. Presumably, Shannon was not on the Real Housewives of Orange County cast trip.

Shannon posted a family photo with her four daughters, revealing, “This photo was taken pre-pandemic. Today, we are Covid positive times 4.” Wow. That has to be so incredibly stressful.

Shannon revealed, “The girls and I are blessed to be quarantining in the same home (but isolating in separate rooms).”

At the end of her post, she wrote, “A huge thank you to all of the medical personnel that have been patiently guiding us through this illness. Sending prayers to all of those affected.”
