Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days, contained “the three D’s”, disappointment, demands and delusion. I believe all three of these components are necessary for the success of this show. This shit show just doesn’t work, if you don’t have at least two on that list.
Stephanie Matto makes a life-changing decision. Lisa Hamme finally meets her Nigerian boo. Ed Brown worries Rose won’t feel a connection when they meet. Darcey Silva makes a shocking discovery about Tom Brooks. Geoffrey Paschel’s first day in Russia is off to a bumpy start. Let’s get straight into the recap!
Geoffrey and Varya Malina continue their awkward courtship while he is in Russia. Frankly, this is hard to watch. Geoffrey seems like more of a dad figure than a suitor right now. He becomes even more uncomfortable once he finds out that Varya has no intention of staying at the hotel with him. When they arrive at the hotel, they discuss the awkwardness and their first impressions. Apparently, they thought each other were standoffish and robotic.
Geoffrey realizes he is far from home when he goes to dinner with Varya. When she attempts to find out more about his ex-wife and children, Geoffrey presses the brakes on the subject. I believe he is trying to avoid talking about his son who passed away, but Varya probably thinks he isn’t being open.
Ummm… what the hell did Lisa sign up for? Usman literally lives in one room with his two other friends in Nigeria. I really hope she is staying at a hotel and not his cramped quarters. When Usman goes out with friends and reveals Lisa’s picture, they are shocked by her appearance and age. They also think she will be trouble for his career when they find out about her jealous ways with his fans.
For some reason, Usman decides to bring his two roommates and a single rose to pick up Lisa from the airport. In a post interview, Usman admits that Lisa didn’t look as he expected physically. In his words, she had more “belly” than he expected and he would have preferred a more statuesque woman with a small waist. But he does say that his fiancé has a beautiful personality and that is what matters. When his friends meet Lisa, they are shocked he is happy with her. In the car, after kissing a thousand times, Lisa makes it clear she expects Usman all to herself. Usman has pulled out all the stops with a nice hotel room, flowers and a teddy bear. Godspeed Usman! Lisa said she didn’t fly 7,000 miles to go to sleep. She is going to have her way with him, whether he is attracted to her or not. I hope that Visa is worth it!
Stephanie and Erika Owens are the first same-sex couple to ever appear on the 90 Day franchise. They both identify as bisexual and met through social media. Although their relationship started as just friends, they quickly fell in love. Stephanie is now heading to Australia to meet Erika in person. But she is facing a series of challenges that might hinder her. Stephanie has yet to reveal her sexual orientation or her relationship with Erika to her family. She also has a rare bone marrow disorder called aplastic anemia, which could be deadly if she gets even a common cold during her trip to Australia. When Stephanie’s family visits for dinner she reveals that she is visiting her ‘friend” Erika, but doesn’t share anymore about their true relationship. Her family believes she is filming a show about her illness so they don’t understand why she is risking her health for this trip.
Darcey receives a text with pictures of Tom with another woman from her twin, Stacey. Considering the pair hasn’t been talking much, Darcey believes this woman may be the reason. I am surprised she didn’t go into full meltdown mode. Maybe this is a sign of maturity or that she may be starting to see her and Tom’s relationship, for what it is.
Ed has finally arrived in the Philippines and I can’t wait to see Rose’s reaction. It’s a possibility she will ignore the lies Ed told about his looks in order to solidify her green card. It’s obvious she wants more than current circumstances for her son and herself. When two finally meet, Rose is clearly shocked by his appearance. She politely says she is attracted to him when Ed directly asks her. Chile, this is trip is going to get good. Rose only cares about how his money looks.
Avery Warner has dropped off her children and is on her way to see the man she believes is the love of her life. Personally, I don’t trust Ash Naeck as far as I can throw him. Before Avery’s arrival, he stops by the florist to pick up a bouquet for her. The florist confesses that Ash is one of his best customers. Apparently, he gets flowers for many women, all the time. I can’t wait to see how this visit unfolds once Avery arrives.
Yolanda Leak, are you Caesar’s long lost sister? Your story lines with an obvious catfish and childlike naivety seem eerily similar. After trying to contact Williams on social media, Yolanda discovers he deleted his account. Despite all the warning signs that she is being ghosted, she continues to try to contact him for answers. Chile, please! Is there no one that can talk any sense into this woman? She would have more luck signing up for a dating site than talking to this strange man with the voice and personality of a serial killer. Girl, are you that lonely that you can’t see this ruse, for what it is?
TELL US- WHY DO YOU THINK GEOFFREY AND VARYA ARE SO AWKWARD TOGETHER? DO YOU THINK USMAN IS USING LISA FOR A GREEN CARD? ARE YOU SURPRISED TOM HAS BEEN SPENDING TIME WITH ANOTHER WOMAN? DO YOU THINK ROSE IS TRULY ATTRACTED TO ED?

Among this week’s reality TV premieres: Buddy vs. Duff tries again, Waka Flocka Flame and Tammy Rivera get their own show, and The Wall comes out of storage.
The writing has been on the wall since Kenya Moore‘s first instagram post announcing her impromptu marriage to Marc Daly, but they made it official last night when Real Housewives Of Atlanta reported on their split.
Following the he-man, woman-hater benefit Marc hosted where he took advantage of Kenya’s entire Atlanta social network (and used her as unpaid intern), then publicly insulted his wife, before demanding Real Housewives Of Atlanta cameras stop filming him, Kenya tried to flee in an Uber. But Marc makes all the rules for what ‘Ken’ can do and what Ken can’t do is move unless Marc says move.
According to Kenya, Marc jumped into her uber and they proceeded to get in a screaming fight. Marc was so enraged and out of control the Uber driver kicked him out and Kenya banned him from returning to her home. As a domestic violence survivor, Kenya is all too aware of how these situations go and she absolutely made the right choice in creating distance between them when Marc was so angry
The next morning instead of Marc begging her for forgiveness, Kenya awoke to a call from her publicist informing her that Marc was releasing a statement announcing their divorce. Which forced Kenya on the defensive in putting out her own reactive statement. The other ladies are shocked by the news. Well, not shocked per se, as anyone with ears, eyes, a nose, at least 1/3 of a brain and a sometimes pulse could see that Kenya and Marc’s marriage was doomed. It was a zombie marriage to say the least.
The following day Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey pay a trip to Moore Manor to check in on Queen Twirl, who has not left the confines of her white walled inlet since the blogs started reporting on her marriage demise. An emotional Kenya squeezes out at least a few tears. She musters up some plaintive sounding wails (Greek cats catching the scent of raw octopus). Kenya again opens up about Marc’s temper, and also shares her suspicions that he was cheating with a woman in NY, whom he had a prior sexual relationship with.
Kenya found suspicious and inappropriate text messages shortly after their wedding. A woman was “begging him” (Kenya’s words) for sex.
Marc swore he was no longer intimate with this woman after Kenya called and threaten her. But, shouldn’t Marc have called this off once he got serious with the future Mrs. Daly instead of waiting until they had tied the knot on a secluded beach? Despite all this, Kenya claims she still doesn’t want a divorce!
With all the drama, Kenya is contemplating skipping the trip to Greece. Knowing her paycheck is on the line, Kandi and Cynthia convince her to reconsider. Of course, Kenya is right to not trust NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton. The second they learn the news they cackle about the gossip. Marlo even gets right on the phone to Kandi prying for information. They’re about as sincere in their concern as a 1,000 bill with President Donald E. Duck on the front of it.
The next day all the women meet at the airport for Greece. Kandi warns Marlo and NeNe to back off Kenya, but NeNe feels Kenya deserves to have everyone pry after she did Tanya Sam dirty by bringing burnt cookie lady to accuse Paul Judge of cheating. I kinda am inclined to agree, although it’s clear now that Kenya was certainly projecting. She owes Tanya an apology. However, the chances of that happening are as likely as Nene’s face winding up on a $1,000 bill that’s not a counterfeit.
Now not that I think Kenya deserves Marc’s horrible (re: emotionally abusive) treatment, but when has Kenya ever been compassionate or sensitive to anyone’s marital or relationship issues? Who remembers how atrocious she treated Kim Fields over her marriage. And not to defend NeNe, well ever, but she is right: KARMA. Karma is twirling all over you!
Of course, the true shock is that Kenya doesn’t show up at the airport! They’re all forced to leave without her. She doesn’t even bother to call her very good friends Kandi or Cynthia to let them know what’s up.
Then once they arrive in Greece, they’re sitting on the bus to their villa and out the window Porsha Williams and Kandi spot Kenya! Ta-dah! She was this close to bailing on the trip. However, producers gave her a Come To Jesus talk about how she needs this job being a single mom and all. So, Kenya hightailed it to the airport toting along Brooklyn and the nanny with her. She was not alone: Porsha also brought PJ, who she really wants to expose to the international lifestyle starting at the tender age of 6 months where PJ will really really be able to absorb all Greece has to offer for the trip of a lifetime. Porsha’s mom is also along as the bonafide babysitter. All the babies and their keepers will be quarantined in a hotel, safely stowed away from the drama at the villa. Thankfully!
Kenya may be down, but she is never out. As soon as they arrive at the gorgeous villa she leads the ladies in a shady Bedroom Olympics game in which they have to compete for the best rooms. The whole thing is ridiculous.
Tanya is so desperate not to end up in the windowless room she eats raw octopus. But, then she winds up losing her advantage after Porsha jumps into the pool to secure a wild card bonus that allows her to steal a room from anyone.
She doesn’t want to be stuck next to NeNe in the 3rd best room after the master suites, which belong to Kandi and Kenya, so Porsha swipes her BFF Tanya’s. Ergo Tanya ends up in the jail cell bedroom anyway. The only room which doesn’t look out over the sea. Man, Tanya really founders on this show and almost never gets anything entirely right. But, she decides not to let it interfere with her desire to have a good trip. I like Tanya a lot, but I think she’s way too classy for this mess and therefore reads as boring.
That evening’s plan is a nice dinner at the house. With Cynthia having to do the dishes in exchange for securing the extra-special close proximity to NeNe room. How amazing that in just 2 episodes or less, Cynthia and NeNe have gone from barely speaking to BFF again. Cynthia pays NeNe a visit to ask her if she will please, please offer up some of her wisdom about marriage as supportive words to Kenya. OK, major side-eye here. Like my eye balls are stuck sideways! NENE, the woman who made Gregg’s cancer all about herself and how hard it was for her to be a good wife, is supposed to be offering marital advice and encouragement to Kenya?! There is more valuable advice to be found in a Hallmark movie. Or an episode of Love Is Blind.
Of course, NeNe, who hates Kenya, and was just moments before crowing about how she deserved to have her marriage fall apart, is more than willing to lord her expertise over Kenya like a too big wig.
Kenya is dreading dinner. Other than Kandi and Cynthia, she doesn’t trust any of these women. She knows they certainly just want all the dirty details. She’s right! Things go OK until near the end of the meal. NeNe offers some vague condolences or something. Then, Kenya thanks each and every woman at the table for her support and kindness – even Tanya. Then, she completely skips over NeNe. Giving a little teaser to the women about her emotional state – to bilk that divorce sympathy! – Kenya cries about how hard it all is, but that she has to do what’s right for her daughter.
As the women prepare to leave the table Cynthia proposes that Kenya and NeNe stay behind to talk. Kenya says “No” as she gets up and walks out of the room. Kenya’s back is barely turned before NeNe, supported by Marlo, starts ranting about how Kenya is being a bitch. NeNe is obviously furious about being excluded in Kenya’s little speech. She’s even more furious that her phony kindness was rebuffed.
In the kitchen, Kandi warns Kenya that she’s not handling Storm NeNe appropriately. It’s about to turn into a hurricane.
Tanya suggests that she just explain to NeNe that after such a lovely night, she just didn’t feel like having a heavy emotional discussion, but that it had nothing to do with NeNe personally. I love Kenya feigning innocence that she had no idea what upset NeNe…. Kenya, in a moment of clarity, decides she’ll take NeNe a plate of baklava as a peace offering. By the time she walks the dessert plate out, it’s too late. NeNe is on a tirade and that wig has lifted straight off her skull!
Kandi attempts to intervene, but NeNe will not hear it. She is livid at being rejected and her door is once and for all officially CLOSED, locked, and the key thrown out, and if Kenya tries to even so much as knock NeNe will rip her apart like she’s an RHOA cameraman trying to film in her closet. Kandi is left speechless. NeNe storms off to bed ranting that Kenya is ungrateful and single. It seems to me that Nene could offer a modicum of compassion for what Kenya is going through. Maybe Kenya was on a calculated crusade to make NeNe feel bad. Or maybe she was just reeling from her marriage imploding. Still, NeNe could be the bigger person. And for once not use that status to intimidate others!
In the wake of this, Kenya just calmly eats her baklava. She is vindicated in her decision not to confide in these women or trust them. But, of course, the trip is ruined now. NeNe will do everything in her power to destroy everyone’s good time.
It is ironic that just days after Kenya was mocking Tanya’s relationship it emerges that Marc is filing for divorce after a cheating scandal. Do we think Kenya’s marriage was ever real, or like NeNe alleges, all for show?

If you’ve watched Love Is Blind, you will know that the most controversial couple by far was Carlton Morton and Diamond Jack. They had a strong connection and a sweet story. Their proposal was adorable and I truly think everyone was rooting for them. And then it all went wrong. Carlton slipped a ring on Diamond’s finger and they jetted off to Mexico for a very short-lived honeymoon of sorts.
It was there that Carlton revealed his bisexuality to a surprised Diamond. She asked for time to process and they didn’t sleep in the same room that night. While it looked promising the next day when they went pool-side to talk, things quickly spiraled out of control. Carlton threw the ring in the pool, called her a bitch and rightfully ended up getting a drink thrown in his face. If it wasn’t so sad and shocking, I would have been so excited about that drink throw. It’s always been a dream of mine but enough about me. Carlton seemed ill-equipped for the pressures of reality TV but it turns out that this isn’t his first foray into the scene.
People is reporting that Carlton was on an episode of one of my favorite Housewives franchises, Real Housewives of Atlanta. If there is something I love more than reality TV, it’s when those worlds collide. On the RHOA season premiere that aired in 2012, Carlton was Cynthia Bailey’s assistant. He helped her with a casting call for JET magazine’s “Beauty of the Week” event. When a new housewife on the scene named Kenya Moore showed up, she stirred up plenty of trouble from the get-go. She referred to one model as “coochie crack” and that set Carlton off.
“I just think there is a respectful way,” Carlton said. “For some of them, this is their first time modeling. I don’t think you should be like —.” Kenya interrupted, asking why he was talking to her. Carlton was unmoved, saying, “Who are you? Because I’ve never met you.” We all know this is that last thing you want to say to Kenya, since she was extra hopped up on her “fame” and Beyonce mistaken identity run ins.
The confrontation escalated quickly, with Kenya telling Carlton to “step off” then calling her security to have him removed. Some things never change! When her security tried to escort Carlton out of the building, Cynthia intervened and convinced them to let him stay.
Carlton then told security, “Tell your little b— that.” I remember this scene well because who could forget Kenya saying “coochie crack” over and over again? But what makes me extra excited about all this is that Carlton, a celeb in his own right now, was standing up to Kenya all the way back then.

NeNe Leakes seems to be beefing with everyone these days. She hasn’t had the best showing on this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s had it out with Kenya Moore, isn’t on speaking terms with Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey. As if that wasn’t enough, things have gone very south with her relationship with Eva Marcille since filming. It looks like the only people she is getting along with are Kandi Burruss and her ever-faithful friend, Marlo Hampton. How Marlo still doesn’t have a peach is beyond me but that is for another time and place.
The only other friend NeNe seemingly has in this whole mess of a season is none other than daytime gossip queen, Wendy Williams. In a recent episode of RHOA, we even saw Wendy counseling NeNe by phone as to how she should handle the women by showing them love and light or some crap like that. Sorry if I sound a bit skeptical but let’s face it, we are talking about NeNe here.
Which is what makes this next story so awkward. NeNe recently made an appearance on The Breakfast Club, where she talked about losing out on her chance at her own daytime talk show. As reported by The Grio, NeNe blames Wendy’s ex-husband Kevin Hunter for thwarting her opportunity.
When asked if she thinks Wendy and Kevin had anything to do with it, NeNe says, “I do think so,” before adding, “I think it was her husband, yea – he was never nice to me.”
At the time of this happening, NeNe was a big star in her own right. She left RHOA for parts on Glee and The New Normal. NeNe surmised, “Well, you know things happened – timing is everything,” she said. “Maybe it wasn’t my time. Sometimes people are intimidated, ya know.”
NeNe continued, “They think you gonna come up and do a little more than they do, I’m not sure, but I know that it was scrapped, that’s true.” NeNe chalked the whole thing up to the nature of show business. She explained, “At that time in my life, it showed me how the industry is, it’s a dirty world.”
When pressed by The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God about Wendy costing her money, NeNe maintains that she believes it was really Wendy’s ex behind all this. “I’m sure he was the one that went to get it stopped,” she said, admitting that her theory is that he thought she posed a threat to their business.“They made the right choice in my eyes. I would have done the same thing.”
At least this is one less fight NeNe has to manage.

Few reality TV couples have captured my heart like Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton from the hit Love Is Blind. They both knew from the jump that their relationship was special and so did the viewers. We didn’t even have to see them contemplating if they had connections with anyone else, that’s how strong their bond was. They were the first (that we saw) of the couples to get engaged and they really did seem to have the strongest bond there.
It was hard to not feel invested in their love story, even if it was a tad predictable. The only real hurdles they faced were Lauren introducing her father to Cameron, which she had never done in her previous relationships. As if that wasn’t enough, Lauren had never dated a white man either so she wasn’t exactly sure how her father would react. But he was stern and kind, with some sweet words to assure Cameron that he was being welcomed into the family with open arms. We all know that things only went up from there, despite Lauren holding out on telling Cameron if she would say “I do” or not. She obviously did and here we are.
Given how adorable their story was/is, it’s no surprise that fans might want more. And they just might get it! Lauren and Cameron spilled to Entertainment Tonight about what’s possibly next for them. Lauren dished, “We’re hoping so. Spinoff gods, if you’re listening, let’s make it happen. We would love to continue sharing our story with everybody. I feel like all the juicy stuff is just now happening. Like, this is the good stuff!”
Cameron adds, “We just love working together and spending time together and going on these little adventures. So, we hope so. Let’s see what happens.”
The couple, who has been married since November of 2018 is also looking ahead in other ways, specifically when it comes to family. About the possibility of having kids, Lauren says, “Maybe by this time next year. Little Valentine’s babies.”
Until then, Lauren talked Cameron into getting a puppy they named Sparks. “I never would have expected that I’d be this happy. It’s been a wonderful adventure. Every day is something new.”
Cameron is clearly smitten. He remarked, “I mean, my paternal instinct is kicking in pretty hardcore. We are really excited.” I’m here for it!

Ok, I will admit it – I am obsessed with Love Is Blind. While I could have done without all the recapping/flashbacks in the wedding episode (hello, Netflix, this is a binge show and I just watched all that today), the end really kept me on the edge of my seat. It didn’t disappoint. I think it was safe to assume some of the couples, ahem, Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas, weren’t going to leave with a happy ending, but some of them really threw me for a loop.
One couple that surprised fans was Kenny Barnes and Kelly Chase. They seemed into each other. Sure, Kelly did mention some lack of sexual excitement but she seemed full steam ahead for the majority of the show. It wasn’t until the finale that I realized something was amiss. Her whole demeanor changed and she seemed less than excited about what was going to happen. While getting ready for her “wedding”, she seemed uncomfortable and anxious. I knew it was over when she put zero effort into her makeup. That was a huge tell that this was not going to be her true wedding day as no bride would walk down the aisle like that. Just saying. But when Kelly said “I don’t”, it sunk in that this just wasn’t there time to get married. Still, there seemed to be a lot of love there and that doesn’t just go away.
For that reason, I kind of assumed that they might continue their connection after the show. According to People, the couple later said they were adamant about not getting married on the show but they weren’t on the same page about what would happen next. Kelly said, “I thought that we were going to continue dating, because that was communicated between us. And then it was our last filming day, and he had a conversation with me like, ‘Hey, I think I am not emotionally available right now. I need to take some time apart from you.’ I felt very rejected, like, ‘That wasn’t the plan. What the heck?’”
She continued, holding back tears, “A week or two later, we hadn’t talked. I’d just talked to him for six and a half weeks straight, and then I didn’t talk to him. So it was like I lost someone. It was hard.”
From Kenny’s side, taking a break from the relationship was about his own feelings and not just about her. “I just needed to focus on myself,” he explains. “We’d been so adamant about we’re not getting married, we’re really not engaged. We’ll pursue, dating afterwards, but to be candid, it was in that moment, because of the stress that it caused my friends, my family, also hers, it was like, I was just being cognizant of this is all real, these emotions are real. What we went through was a real experience. But life is way more complex than this. And I need to get my framework right.”
A few weeks after they finished shooting and didn’t talk, Kelly decided to reach out to Kenny.“I actually wrote him a handwritten letter, not like saying like, ‘I’m in love with you,’ not crazy, but just like, ‘I really enjoyed getting to know you, and I do love you and I want to continue loving getting to know you even more,’” Kelly admits. “I never got a response from it, which maybe just freaked him out, but I was just releasing a lot of emotions.”
Kenny still hasn’t responded. “Looking back, I think it’s reflective of how I had been and how I have evolved since then,” Kelly says. “I don’t like being rejected, for one. It’s happened, but also it’s me trying to have control of the situation, and I lost control. He let go, and I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ And so it was me trying to, with writing the letter, I wanted to make it happen, and I just needed to take a step back. And I did.”
A few months later, Kelly tried again. “I don’t remember what I said verbatim, but I just apologized,” she explains. Kelly recalled, “I was like, ‘Maybe that was too much, that letter. I was just expressing how I felt in that time.’ I said, ‘But it’s water under the bridge at this point.’ And that was it. I didn’t bring it up again.”
Kelly concluded, “I felt like I lost someone. That’s why I’m emotional now. And that’s probably why I got emotional watching the show back myself. All these feelings started coming up again for me. … Maybe had I not written that letter and maybe had I just let him go and reset, who knows what would’ve happened? Maybe he would have been like, ‘You know what? I actually do miss you. And I’m going to come back.’ I don’t know. But it doesn’t matter.”
Poor Kelly! This is not the way I wanted things to end up for them, but it sounds like she didn’t either.

Recently, Tom Sandoval called out Lala Kent for not being the “safe place” that she claimed to be while Ariana vocalized her struggles with depression. He expressed that he was upset with Lala for saying “mean nasty things” about his girlfriend.
After seeing those remarks from Tom, Lala clapped back in a very emotional Instagram Live, which has already disappeared. But, don’t worry, we got you. Lala was crying and pouring her heart out in response to the comments. Of course, this could be a case of he said, she said. We only get to see a tiny bit of these people’s lives when we watch TV, but anyway, let’s see what Lala had to say.
She began, “To see all these people being like ‘Ariana had your back.’ Like, no the fuck she did not. Wake up. And even though me, and Stassi [Schroeder], and Katie [Maloney] didn’t get along, those bitches have been so supportive since we’ve become friends. Through the worst times and the fucking best times, they’ve been supportive. That’s what I look for in a friendship.”
Lala continued, “I don’t want to be struggling, drowning, for you to like wake the fuck up to see if I’m good. So, there’s my spill on Tom and Ariana. I am a fucking safe place. I’m a good ass friend.”
Lala claimed, “The whole cast is fucking medicated for depression and anxiety. And we’ve all spoken about it. And we all sit here and offer like a hand, a heart, an ear to listen to, and [Tom Sandoval] want[s] to say we’re not a ‘safe place.’ But, you’re the one when my dad died, telling me to ‘toughen the fuck up.’ I think you’re feeling unsafe in your own skin and you’re projecting it onto me. I’ll be damned if someone doesn’t feel safe around me.”
The Season 8 reunion is gonna be fire. That’s for sure.
Lala concluded, “To read it, Tom Sandoval, ‘It just really hurt me you know, to see her talking bad.’ How about this? Toughen the fuck up. I’m leavin it at that, y’all.”
Now, I’m just wondering if Lala is going to disinvite Tom and Ariana from her and Randall Emmett’s wedding next month.
