Whew, last night’s quarantine edition of the 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days tell all was everything I needed and more. I have been waiting patiently for an update and some background details. The entire cast video chatted from their homes, with the exception of Geoffrey Paschel and Varya Malina, who were not in attendance. Nonetheless, there were plenty of surprises to make up for their absence. Geoffrey wasn’t invited to the reunion, due to allegations of physical abuse by an ex-girlfriend. Too bad, I was hoping to see him get flame broiled harder than a burger king whopper.
This first installment of the reunion was filled with drama with a capital D! I wasn’t sure how this virtual tell all would pan out, but it definitely seemed to fuel the flames. People were more comfortable in their homes to scream and point figures. Also, certain guests had no one to limit their alcohol intake. This was a modern day three ring circus, and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s get straight into the recap!
Avery, 32 (Seattle) & Ash, 38 (Australia)
Despite Avery Warner and Ash Naeck agreeing to make their relationship work at the end of the season, they have decided to part ways. Avery wanted to take a break to mull over things and in response Ash decided it should be permanent. In his mind, she was not fully committed if she constantly wanted to take breaks in their relationship. Avery explains there were several red flags and lies that led her to that decision. Ash reveals that a diet was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Avery thought Ash was lying about following the diet they decided to complete together. Huh?????? As much as she rode his back the entire season, I’m surprised she didn’t deliver more compelling points. Hell I would have wanted to take a break after that disastrous seminar. It is obvious that these two had trust issues and several other problems.
Honestly, I think Avery and Ash will reunite in the near future. They only recently broke up and seem to still love one another. Avery admitted Ash was the best sex she ever had and they both like drama. It’s only a matter of time, before we see them together again.
Ed, 54 (San Diego) & Rosemarie, 23 (Philippines)
Rose and Ed Brown are the next to take the hot seat. Is it me or does it seem like her English got worse, since we have last saw her? In an effort to make sure her side of the story was fully understood, she requested a translator. The first dispute was when Ed claimed that Rose reached out to him for the first time in February, which she vehemently denied. Little did she know, Ed didn’t come to play this reunion, he had receipts, baby!!!!! Once he began showing pictures and messages, she was left stuttering. Ed revealed that Rose was dating a woman and now claimed to be bisexual. Rose claims the relationship only took place after she and Ed broke up.
Ed’s daughter, Tiffany made an appearance and once again condemned her father’s relationship with Rose. She became emotional that her dad was willing to jeopardize their relationship again for a second time. She even questioned whether Rose truly even loved her father. Once things got heated, Rose turned on the waterworks and played the victim. She accused Ed of being a liar and wanting her to do a sex video for him for money. Okay, it was at this point I had to go get another drink. The last thing I want to hear about is Ed’s sex life and his proclivities in the bedroom. He denies that he offered her money for a video. I don’t think Rose was not being totally honest. I’m sure he asked her for private pictures and videos, which many people do in long distance relationships. But I don’t think he was offering to pay her for a video, when he was already giving her money.
The focus then shifted to Ed’s comments about the hair on Rose’s legs, breath and the request for a STD test. Ed apologized for his delivery, but stood by his comments. Honestly, I don’t think those things are strange requests. I just think the fact that it was said on national television made it look much worse because it was embarrassing. Some of the women on the cast jumped to Rose’s defense and challenged Ed on the lies he told. Lisa Hamme tells Ed that no American woman would deal with his behavior. I almost died and came back to life when he said “baby girl let me ask you a question.” I literally choked on my beverage, I was laughing so hard. He then asked Lisa why she was spreading a negative message by bragging about not using condoms when she first went to meet Usman Umar. Let’s be honest, Rose is no victim, she and Ed were both using one another.
Yolanda, 51 (Las Vegas, NV) & Williams, 40 (England)
Sadly, Yolanda Leak contracted what she believes was Covid-19 in December. She was in a coma and put on a ventilator. Thankfully she is feeling better and all smiles for the reunion. Sadly, her health scare didn’t give her a wake-up call about her catfish, Williams. Yolanda shares how she met Williams when he direct messaged her on social media. I couldn’t believe my ears when David of all people said “when you meet someone on social media, you are looking for a scam.” Umm… did this fool just dare to give his opinion about someone else being catfished? Chile, please! David, please STFU, you and Yolanda BOTH were the biggest suckers of the season, and that is saying a lot with this group.
Yolanda’s daughter and the private investigator joined the conversation to give their opinion. When the investigator said his account was linked to a Nigerian group, Usman refuted the claim based on his accent. Usman doesn’t think a Nigerian scammer would stick around for that long, with no financial benefit. Surprisingly, Lisa seemed very knowledgeable about all of tricks of the trade that are used to take advantage of women. Yet, she can’t see that Usman is only suffering in silence for a chance at a new life in America. After listening to the cast, Yolanda finally admits that it’s more than likely that Williams isn’t who he says he is. But also states if he was to call her again, she would probably talk to him. SMH… there is no hope. Yolanda, just don’t send any money, pictures or personal information, please. That is the best we can hope for with this naive woman.
Stephanie, 29 (New York) & Erika, 24 (Australia)
Stephanie Matto and Erika Owens had their share of blow ups, as well as an explosive break up this season. Seems like much hasn’t changed, they began arguing almost immediately. Both Stephanie and Erika’s friends joined the conversation to defend each of their perspectives. Things get tense when one of Stephanie’s friends gets defensive and starts yelling “F you” to Erika while flashing a glass of wine in the camera. Can we just say these two are doomed and toxic as hell and move on? There is no need for them to ever speak again. I’m getting anxiety just watching them argue again.
Stephanie reaffirms her sexuality when asked about her thoughts about fans of show questioning if she is truly bisexual. Erika admits she was confused by Stephanie because she was very different from who she presented herself to be online. Stephanie has a more sexual persona online compared to her conservative demeanor in person. She claims she wasn’t comfortable because Erika didn’t attempt to get to know her, before demanding intimacy. She then references videos she posted online that explain this. Ummm… if these two talked for hours and hours over the phone before meeting, you would think that would have come up. Erika becomes emotional when she feels that her side isn’t being heard. Honestly, I don’t give a damn at this point. I don’t have the patience to watch these two cry and scream anymore. During the segment, Ed can be heard saying “my ears hurt” under his breath. LMAO!
Darcey, 45(Connecticut) & Tom, 39 (England)
Darcey Silva pulled out her best stripper look for her appearance on the tell all. Tom Brooks, on the other hand looks like he got older, since we last saw him. Obviously after getting a lot of slack from his behavior on the show, Tom has decided to use a more docile approach. He apologizes for his comments about Darcey gaining weight along with other harsh words, as him being hurt. Tom tries to explain the timeline when he met another woman, while still seemingly being in a relationship with Darcey. It’s clear to me he was just leading her on, until they finally broke up. Tom claims he went to meet Darcey in New York, not with the intention to end things, but to see if they could work things out. Whatever, Tom is just trying to woo his way back on another season of the show.
The woman Tom was dating sent a letter to the show, which was read on camera. Apparently, they are no longer together. She states Tom told her he was single when they met. She was also under the impression Darcey was in another relationship. Things get more interesting, when Avery tries to weigh in and Tom refuses to continue to film if she isn’t dismissed. When this doesn’t happen, Tom ends the feed immediately. Avery admits Tom texted her when he found out she was single. Okay… things just got juicy! Unfortunately, we will have to wait until part 2 to find out the rest of the details. We already knew Tom was full of shit, but this is a new low.
