There are two types of people in this world: Bravo viewers and liars. Pretty much everyone watches Bravo, right? Well, maybe not, but at the very least, pretty much anyone reading this does. Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes “MJ” Javid has her own series on the network and she is an avid watcher of other Bravo shows.
Recently MJ made some comments about Don’t Be Tardy star Kim Zolciak’s appearances on the last Real Housewives of Atlanta season that did not go over well. At all. Now Kim is clapping back and channeling Mariah Carey’s infamous “I don’t know her” moment.
Before getting into Kim’s clapback, let’s address the backstory and why Kim is so riled up. MJ appeared on the Make Speidi Famous Again podcast with Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. They talked all things reality TV and considering that Kim is on two Bravo shows, her name was bound to come up.
MJ was asked to share what she thinks about Kim. MJ said, “I think Kim reminds me of someone who is famous and is probably does a lot of bad things and is famous despite that.” That’s pretty harsh, but then she backtracked and added, “Maybe she’s misunderstood.” These are comments she made at the 28:26 mark of the podcast, just in case anyone is looking for receipts
MJ also said, “Here’s what bothers me about Kim, she’s clearly not showing her life and she still kind of tries to get away with it. Like having her husband parked outside every time she’s shooting, it’s stupid.” Kim having her transportation lined up did not go over well with the Atlanta Housewives last season.
Kim caught wind of MJ’s comments via a Reality Tea article, screen shot the headline, and clapped back. Kim tweeted, “Hmm never met this woman in my life! On RHOA sweetie I was a ‘friend’ last season so you aren’t going to see MY life! That’s what season 7 of Don’t be Tardy is for!! What bad things sweetie? never done a drug in my life, never been arrested Etc. Need press Hunni?”
Kim’s daughter, and Don’t Be Tardy costar, Brielle Biermann chimed in with “I literally had to google who this woman was bc I’ve never heard of her haha.”

Is It November 7 yet? We are just under a month until Real Housewives of New Jersey returns for Season 9. That means that the Housewives will be teasing their storylines and throwing shade to promote the new episodes.
Melissa Gorga shared a story of a super fan who went way too far with her love for her. She also teased that the new Housewives Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider “have complete opposite personalities” and are in “two different groups,” which pretty much hints that the cast itself will be divided into two different groups.
Melissa appeared on a recent episode of The Talking Queens podcast to dish on Season 9. When asked about the trailer, Melissa theorized, “I feel like somebody purposely leaked it. That’s what I think.” She concluded, “Something shady was going on there.” Maybe it was just so good that someone just felt like the public had to see it.
Later in the podcast, Melissa shared, “I think you guys are going to love this season. All I know is that Andy Cohen has been texting me also telling me it’s the best one he’s seen in years. He’s very impressed this season. I was just at Bravo the other day and they were like ‘this is probably the best one we’ve had in a really long time.’ So everyone is super excited for Season 9.” YES.
One person who is sure to love Season 9 is Melissa’s unnamed super fan. She was asked if she’s ever be frightened by a fan and then she revealed a pretty disturbing story. Melissa revealed, “I had one that used to come around a lot when I first came on the show and she would be at every appearance. I’m super sweet and sometimes I’m overly sweet. If I see that you love me and you’re genuine, I let you in a little bit. So I would let her come behind the rope sometimes. She would always be there by herself. I would let her in the back door because she was just always standing there waiting for me to show up.”
Then things went awry. Melissa continued, “To make a long story short, I kept letting her stand where I would stand: behind the ropes with my friends because she was just so loyal. She eventually took my phone, stole my phone number out of it, and called my house phone at three o’clock in the morning and said ‘Don’t you remember you gave me your phone number?’ And I said ‘You crazy son of a bitch. Don’t you ever.'” She maintained, “I didn’t give her my number.” She also revealed that the fan asked to use Melissa’s phone during an appearance and used it to call her own number so she could save Melissa’s contact information. Yikes.
That’s definitely a downside of being “On Display.” Melissa concluded, “So that was scary and I learned real fast that you have to be careful. I want to be nice and I want to do the right thing and that’s who I am.”
As far as the upcoming season goes, Melissa maintains that she does not have any regrets. She explained, “I feel like I had all legit feelings and everything I said was legit and I still kind of feel like I’m right.” She admitted, “So it’s hard for me to take shit back because I’m right.” Overall, Melissa actually does have one regret from her Real Housewives of New Jersey experience. She confessed, “I hated when I was on my knees begging Teresa [Giudice] in that big castle in upstate New York to ‘stop hurting us!’ Although I meant it. It was dramatic.” Such an iconic era. That feels like a whole lifetime ago.
She wouldn’t name names when it comes to the new girls, but she did indicate that Jackie and Jennifer’s presence will make an impact on the cast dynamic. Melissa shared, “I do think for our show, they are excellent. They really are a perfect mix. The two new Housewives are complete opposites in personality. Legit opposite personalities. They are nothing alike at all, which makes it so perfect because you’re getting a mix of two totally different people.”
She teased, “One is going to vibe more with this crew and one is going to vibe a little more with this crew. I don’t want to give it away who’s going to go where, but they’re definitely divided. They blend in with two different groups. Let’s put it that way.”
And again, I can’t help reading that as the cast is split into two groups overall. Based on Instagram posts and the Season 9 trailer, it looks like Jackie gets along with Margaret Josephs and Melissa while she is at odds with Teresa Giudice at some point, calling her out about her imprisoned husband and her own jail stint in the trailer. Jennifer and Margaret argue with each other several times in the trailer. So it’s not all out there, but some the general dynamic among the women seems to be pretty public.
Who’s the person that Melissa misses from the show? She answered, “Caroline Manzo. I liked her. I thought she brought a little ‘the don’ to the show. I liked her. I like Caroline. I would go with Caroline.” That answer would not sit well with her sister-in-law Teresa, but it would make for some great TV to see the to OG’ cast members go at it.

I was all about this season of Real Housewives Of Dallas, which seemed to be moving through petty problems quickly and focusing on real friendships with light drama. Enter D’Andra Simmons midlife crisis and nervous breakdown and LeeAnne Locken‘s 35,000th multiple personality: yuppie dharma leader who met her wealthy second husband on a zen retreat, then ditched her Birkenstocks for ballgowns and goes around Dallas selling spirituality to on the charity circuit. Now I know that’s not ACTUALLY who LeeAnne is, or even close to what she’s got going on, but in my mind when LeeAnne imagines this new so-called peacemaker persona she’s developed, this is what she’s basing it off.
Anyway, D’Andra needs to get her head out from under LeeAnne’s wedding gown (or lack thereof) and stop embarrassing herself. And LeeAnne needs to stop pretending she cares about Stephanie Hollman‘s friendship. We all see her salivating over Stephanie with a piranha grin and we know she plans to serve up Stephaphina Soup a dinner party that Brandi Redmond is also invited to.
Basically, this whole season is now reduced to LeeAnne and D’Andra destroying each other and using Stephanie and Brandi as live ammunition.
Anyways girl, the episode begins out with Stephanie meeting LeeAnne and Kameron Westcott for lunch. LeeAnne has decided if Brandi weren’t around Stephanie and Kameron would have been BFF like Barbie and Skipper, but as everyone knows: BRANDI RUINS EVERYTHING. Now, I find Brandi as meddlesome as the next person, but she ain’t going anywhere and she’s not exactly dangerous. She’s essentially a harmless little sister who embarrasses you, except if you’re LeeAnne who sees Brandi as a calculating nemesis throwing tequila into open-wounds.
Sure enough, LeeAnne’s organized lunch is going all well, and everyone is getting along – then swoop … LeeAnne starts talking about how she’s found “her group” and suggesting Stephanie be inducted into their sorority. Then, of course, she mentions how differently – re: uncouth, unapproachable, and filled with drama-causing – Stephanie acts around Brandi, and girl isn’t it SO nice that Stephanie is here all alone now! Right, girl, right?! Stephanie swallows hard as a cold fear settles over her… She should’ve right there shut LeeAnne up with a “Girl, I thought we were forming a friendship outside of Brandi, so why are we talking about Brandi and blaming her for things?” LeeAnne’s motives – officially suspect.
LeeAnne’s not the only one though! Across town, Brandi believes hiring a nanny means she’s no longer on mommy-duty. Like Ever. She meets D’Andra for a “boozy lunch” where D’Andra thought they were having a glass of wine, which turned into a bottle + shots and trash-talking LeeAnne’s marriage before crashing her charity event. The gist of Brandi and D’Andra’s friendship is booze and LeeAnne bashing, so why not, girl?
D’Andra tells Brandi all about the gossip she’s heard from multiple people (online trolls?)that Rich is unfaithful and she knows LeeAnne knows but refuses to admit it even to her best friend. Gee, I wonder why not, girl? Brandi agrees that LeeAnne will never be honest and suggests that LeeAnne is jealous of D’Andra. I agree LeeAnne is jealous of D’Andra, but I don’t think this has anything got do with D’Andra and LeeAnne’s current issues, and that jealousy is more about D’Andra growing up wealthy and connected.
Also what was going with Brandi’s botch straightening job with the huge ridge near the top of her head? Girl, were you already drunk or did Brikley-Brimstone-whatever that kid’s name is do it?
By the time they arrive – uninvited, in Brandi’s case – to LeeAnne’s event it’s pretty much over and Brandi can barely stand straight, but she sobers up enough to have a semi-coherent argument where she points out that LeeAnne has a pattern of warning people away from her and calling Brandi a bad influence. That she does!
D’Andra claims she brought Brandi there so she and LeeAnne could hopefully talk away from everyone else. Sure, girl… Did anyone notice that Brandi showed up at that event literally dressed in D’Andra’s clothes like a clone? Honestly, LeeAnne and Brandi would probably be fine if it weren’t for Brandi and D’Andra becoming close… that’s what LeeAnne is upset about and what she sees as D’Andra’s betrayal, and that’s also why she’s trying to befriend Stephanie!
I can’t even be bothered to talk about Stephanie using her vagina to advertise Cary Deuber‘s new laser center, but I guess I wouldn’t want to be Pretty Pretty Princess Pee Pants either, so… However, I can very much do without Cary’s rude illustrations comparing Stephanie’s hoohah first to a sewer tunnel and then, after laser treatment, a pinhole. I’m sure Travis is thanking her for saying that on national TV. #NOT.
Afterward, Stephanie sits Cary down and tells her that, girl, all this “truth-telling” is starting to look a lot like shit-stirring, girl, so she better wise-up or find herself friendless in Dallas, girl. Cary admits she was wrong to rat-out Brandi to LeeAnne, thus giving LeeAnne ammunition she does not need. I mean, if Cary wants to be gossiping she needs to be a little more savvy about it. Take some tips from LeeAnne about how to drop a tidbit unexpectedly into a conversation then move on past like it was scarcely said, thus leaving people wondering and guessing and talking about it more. Hence how LeeAnne casually mentioned over her lunch with Stephanie how she would never tell Kameron not to be friends with Brandi… And I noticed LeeAnne kept adding that she also never told CARY not to be friends with Brandi, which is interesting considering this was never suggested by Cary or Brandi.
But this is why I like Stephanie. She does honesty correctly. She went straight to Cary, as a legit friend, with no ulterior motives and approached it like a normal human being would. It was also a covert way of pointing out that getting along with LeeAnne for the sake of security and safety is different than actually trusting LeeAnne.
Kameron is immune from all of this, though. She had her nice little glass of wine over lunch but a girl has business to attend to! It’s time to sell some Sparkle Dog internationally! Shockingly Kameron has convinced a global pet branding company to take an interest in her pink dog food and they believe it has a potential appeal in Asian markets. Kameron is overjoyed and Court looks visibly shocked. Who could blame him – Kameron can’t even string a sentence together without the words “pink” or “girl” and she will literally stop traffic to point out inappropriate hemlines, but here she is a potential pet food mogul. Sparkle on! Also, Kameron now knows like science, girl, cause like dogs CAN see color. Mmmmmhmmmmm… Well, let’s hope Kameron starts selling more than 5 bags of dog food which she forces the nanny to buy, then reimburses her.
Finally, it’s time for an 80’s prom-themed charity event co-chaired by Kameron which raises money for HIV/AIDS. Nothing says fun 80s party like Kameron Westcott! Brandi and Stephanie decided to go as Prom King and Queen, and Stephanie even added fake braces to her look. They look amazing and spend the whole night joking about getting laid until a few salient moments in the limo where Stephanie takes her braces off and gets real with Brandi that she better watch messing in LeeAnne and D’Andra’s drama or find her hair permanently looking like that. Girl, heed your girl’s warning.
Heed Brandi does not! About 16 seconds and one beer into the prom Brandi asks to speak to LeeAnne privately and pretends she wants to squash their issues. Really wants to fight D’Andra’s battles by demanding to know WHY LeeAnne has not set a wedding date and accusing her of hiding something. Apparently, everybody knows Rich is up to someone else. I will agree with Brandi that LeeAnne’s new ‘love and light’ personality is fake as Stephanie’s braces, and that’s valid, but arguing that LeeAnne is pretending to get married because D’Andra says so? Nope. Equally stupid was Brandi feigning concern about how LeeAnne is running from the truth… Brandi, mind your beeswax, girl!
Proving Brandi’s point that she hasn’t changed one whit, LeeAnne retaliates by suggesting that she can start rumors and speculation too! Like perhaps Brandi adopted Bruin to save her marriage, and where did that red-headed baby really come from?
Brandi barely made it out of that one alive, but back in the safety of the group, an emotional Cary admits to Brandi that she repeated their conversation to LeeAnne, and knows it was wrong. Brandi accepts her apology and their giant hair-do’s hug and work it out, but Brandi’s not so sure about trusting Cary anymore.
D’Andra arrives late, and I swear she just borrowed Mama Dee’s makeup artist because otherwise, she looked totally normal (normal for her). Being that Dallas is a town perpetually frozen in the 80’s this was sort of a redundant theme. I mean except for Brandi and Stephanie (and Cary’s hair) they all looked pretty much the same! Cary was complaining that she doesn’t understand why people glorify the ugly 80’style when her makeup pretty much looks that crazy every day!
As soon as D’Andra walked through the door I sensed trouble. Like the popular cheerleader out to menace the loser who finally waxed her eyebrows and put on a dress, and is now hot. D’Andra says she doesn’t want to be the one telling LeeAnne about all the rumors – except, girl, you are literally THE ONLY person talking about these rumors, girl!
Right away D’Andra and LeeAnne get into it, literally snarling at each other; day-glo overly made-up eyes flashing and waxed lipsticked mouths snapping. D’Andra is adamant that LeeAnne is hiding what she knows about Rich’s infidelity and isn’t being honest about her feelings. LeeAnne insists that nothing is going on and that it’s D’Andra who is untrustworthy. D’Andra is upset that she’s being ostracized from LeeAnne’s wedding planning, and therefore takes that to mean no wedding planning is happening. LeeAnne whines that D’Andra is trying to ruin her happiness with allegations.
Eh – they’re probably both right, but here’s the thing: why is D’Andra talking about this on national TV if she thinks LeeAnne truly has problems? And why is she so invested?! Also just last week she said she wanted to keep LeeAnne at a $200 distance, now she’s complaining that LeeAnne isn’t confiding in her like a best friend should.
Finally, LeeAnne is crowned prom queen and I was all prepared for a ‘Carrie‘ moment where D’Andra dumped paint all over LeeAnne’s totally tubular dress that was also borrowed from Mama Dee, but instead a dejected and wounded D’Andra just walked away, all alone, with nothing but her ginormous hair to keep her company. So ironic that here D’Andra and LeeAnne are fighting over being queen again, but this time there’s a clear winner and although no k-cups were harmed, dignity certainly still was! D’Andra, girl, what are you doing, girl? Just stop.
TELL US – IS LEEANNE UP TO HER USUAL SHENANIGANS AND USING STEPHANIE? IS D’ANDRA USING BRANDI?

As the only remaining OG cast member on Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson has seen plenty of Housewives come and go. So if anyone has a lot of experiencing judging new Housewives it’s her.
Gina Kirschenheiter is upset that Shannon Beador does not want to be friends with her. The other new Housewife Emily Simpson’s latest storyline is her desire to have a daughter with her husband Shane Simpson, who does not seem to be on board. At all.
Vicki discussed the last episode in a Bravo blog post. Now that she and Shannon are on good terms since their big hug at last season’s reunion, Vicki jumped to her defense. She wrote, “The topic keeps coming up from Gina that Shannon is being cold to her. I don’t think that is the case at all.”
Vicki theorized, “I think Shannon is a lot like me, where we don’t get super close to new girlfriends right away, and the truth of the matter is Shannon doesn’t have a lot in common with Gina. From what I have seen, Shannon has been nice to her, but they just don’t have a reason to hang out together.” I can think of one reason to hang out together: being cast members on the same reality TV show. Aren’t they contractually obligated to hang out?
So what’s Vicki advice for the brand new Housewife? She said, “I think Gina needs to stop talking about it so much, and just let it be. In time things might change.”
Maybe if Gina gets a second season. Historically speaking, that’s what it takes. Shannon infamously yelled “I start charities, Meghan!” during Meghan Edmonds’ first season on the show. A season later, they were close friends. Shannon and Kelly Dodd argued while wearing seventies-themed outfits and at many other events during Kelly’s first season.
Then Vicki addressed Emily’s desire to add a daughter to her family. She admitted, “The topic of Emily and Shane is getting very uncomfortable regarding her wanting more children. He has made it very clear that he doesn’t want any more and to me that should be enough for her.”
Vicki pointed out, “She keeps talking about Annabelle not having a sister, but she is leaving out that Shane has two daughters, so she DOES have two half sisters. Why does she not bring that up, and why can’t she respect her husband’s decision? Five kids is a lot of responsibility for Shane, and to me he has made it very clear. No more children. Is it me, or is she really not understanding this?” These comments are not going to sit well with Emily, that’s for sure.

It took two episodes to finally get to Tribal Council, but it was well worth the wait last week when we were given our first blindside of the season. The shocking vote-out of Jessica last week though, only seemed to ignite a fire in some of the other players, and it led to an emotional aftermath at the David Tribe. But like any good season of Survivor, there’s enough drama to go around, and the Goliaths had their fair share tonight as well. It was another shocking Tribal Council – and a shocking result – proving once again how far along the game has evolved and what exactly a tribe looks for in its early targets.
As I do at the beginning of every Recap, please heed the following: Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 3 of Survivor: David vs. Goliath, so if you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add too that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap, and is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

Yes, this was a very telling episode! We finally got to see the Goliath Tribe at Tribal Council, and the result was not a good one for Jeremy. Here you had Natalie Cole, who the entire nine days of the game thus far she has been rubbing people the wrong way and totally making herself ostracized from the rest of her camp. She added to her bad resume tonight by being the one to flub her puzzle portion of the Immunity Challenge, and even her “scrambling” seemed to be some of the most painfully awkward social-interaction scenes I ever remember witnessing. I mean, has there ever been a more unlikable, inept player than Natalie? I liked and respected her – even defended her – up through tonight, but it has been growing increasingly hard to do so. As she continued to bark orders, look unpleasant and repeat the idea that she has no chance of winning this game, she actually became more likely to stay.
Isn’t that crazy? Survivor has evolved (devolved?) from the early days where the pre-merge vote-outs always had to do with an individual’s contributions to their tribe, albeit around camp or in challenges. If you were weak at a challenge, or didn’t fit in around camp, or didn’t contribute to the shelter or the food, you were gone. Quick and simple. But my oh my are those days gone. I mean, there hasn’t been a more clear candidate to get voted out of a tribe first than Natalie Cole, and yet here she is, still in the game, with Jeremy out. The tribe mentality – pushed forward strongly by Angelina – was that Natalie can always be voted out later (this in and of itself is one of the ongoing mistakes that Survivor players make, in my opinion). But Jeremy, now there’s a guy who has shown to be a clever, capable guy, whose mind never quite seems to stop. That sort of player – once hardly, if ever, noticeable pre-merge – is now usually smelled early and is gotten rid of immediately. And as Probst pointed out at the episode’s end (man I love Probst’s final words of wisdom each week!), what Jeremy’s exit really means is that this tribe is capable of turning on anyone…so beware.
Now, of course, Jeremy didn’t help his case any, doing crazy things like holding a tribe meeting. Note to future Survivor (or Big Brother) players, but if you have even the thought that calling a tribe meeting is a good idea, just self-evict. Do us all a favor. It’s always painful to watch and it never ever ends well. It’s too bad because Jeremy seemed to have it all, and was a likable guy and character on the show…which is the exact reason he’s gone.
Mike really pegged Jeremy tonight, calling him “his own worst enemy,” which ended up being true. Mike actually showed a great deal of self-awareness and social savvy to be able to separate his “liking” of Jeremy from the many red flags that were going off when it came to Jeremy’s game-play. Kudos to Mike, who also reluctantly voted Jeremy out, a move whose repercussions are yet to be seen.
The “David vs. Goliath” theme is all but over now, with the tribe swap coming next week, although the original tribes will most definitely stick together where they can. The Goliaths hold a 9-8 overall advantage, so if there are only two new tribes and not three, they still have odds in their favor. What is a bit odd about a tribe swap right now in the game, is that we are down to 17 contestants, meaning that there are not even numbers for a swap that yields two or three tribes. Will one tribe have an extra member? Will the left-over person be sent to somewhere, like an Exile Island or whatnot? It should be good to see how it unfolds!
Last but not least, the other real potentially major development of the night was seeing that Bi suffered an MCL sprain (knee). She is still in the game for now, but will she be able to compete with this injury, and even if so, how will this impact her chances in the game?
Episode Take-Away: What I found telling was how the episode played against my expectations. It’s been clear to us all that Natalie has been the target, but when Jeremy was talking about her being “incompetent and over-confident,” he was really talking about himself. Another example of this was at Tribal, when he went on and on about Natalie not being self-aware, but here he was going off on her and making himself a bigger target. Yes, Jeremy suffers from the same lack of self-awareness that Natalie does, although it wasn’t immediately apparent. And think what you will of Natalie, but she was able to expose the weaknesses in Jeremy’s game that only made him a bigger target, and her less of one.
Also not to be overlooked was the fact that the David tribe turned VERY quickly on Gabby following last week’s Tribal. Some clever editing avoided Christian ever breaching the subject, but the remainder of the tribe seemed like they were unanimously on-board with targeting her next. I don’t necessarily care if they do, but PLEASE Survivor Gods, I’m begging you: PLEASE put Gabby and Christian on the same tribe, and let their budding nerd-romance flourish, at least for another few episodes. It is truly my favorite relationship this season (watching them ponder what an actual “SlamTown” would be made up of was just geekiness at its finest.

Survivor David vs. Goliath’s third episode was as pure and pleasurable an episode of Survivor as one can hope for.
Are Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs back together? At this point, that’s probably the least of his concerns- considering all of his recent legal drama and his exit from Southern Charm. Nevertheless, there is still some curiosity when it comes to the polarizing couple.
They both claimed to break up over the summer. Thomas accused Ashley of cheating. Then there were rumors that they were engaged…following by a total lack of clarity in regard to whether or not they had a relationship at all. It is all so unclear, but they were spotted together very recently.
According to an article from People, the on-again-off-again duo was seen having dinner at Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island in Charleston, South Carolina.
They were supposedly “affectionate” and “seemed to be in good spirits.” A source told People, “They looked like they were having a great time.” That same source also said, “If they are still split, you never would have known, but at the same time they weren’t showing any PDA or anything. They looked friendly, like friends having a good time out together.”
Even without a reality TV camera crew, these two are still objectively intriguing, and debatably nauseating. At the very least the viewers will not have to witness this on the next season of Southern Charm.
