Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Week 4 Competition Results (7/29/22)

This may be the first week in Big Brother 24 that Michael Bruner playing in the Power of Veto Competition. This also could be the first week that he doesn’t win it as well. Taylor Hale may also be exempted from this week’s Power of Veto Competition, but both could end up in Veto depending on the Veto draw.

Because Head of Household Monte Taylor wants to do what’s best for The Leftovers, it’s in Monte’s best interest if Michael and Brittany Hoopes play in this week’s Veto Competition. If not them, he needs three players from The Leftovers or three players who would help the Leftovers in the Veto Competition.

On Thursday’s Big Brother 24 episode, Terrance Higgins joined Joseph Adbin and Monte’s Festie Bestie group. This automatically meant that Joseph, Terrance, Joseph, and potentially three other players could play in the Veto competition. Last week’s Power of Veto Competition involved pairs, so this week’s competition should have the same. However, with Terrance being added to the Joseph and Monte group, we weren’t sure if they’ll be a pick for one set of pairs or just one individual players, or one pair. The pair option would make it seven Veto players, which isn’t common.

Today, we found out after the players were picked for this week’s Veto Competition. The players are Joseph, Terrance, Monte, nominees Alyssa Snider and Indy Santos, and picked pair Kyle Capener, and Daniel Durston.

This is an interesting draw because the current plan is to backdoor Nicole Layog. Nicole senses this and Daniel believes this too, so it will be interesting if Kyle and him win it. Kyle will likely want to use it but Daniel may not because of Nicole. However, Kyle could try to convince him that Taylor Hale would be evicted before Nicole.

This likely means that the Veto will be used, unless Daniel really objects. Taylor and Nicole will go up on the block. Nicole is the current target.

Becca Tilley Discusses Possibility Of The Bachelor Having LGBTQ+ Lead

Former Bachelor contestant Becca Tilley is hoping to someday see the franchise show a same-sex relationship–if it’s done in the right way.

“I know they did that in Australia,” Becca said in a recent Us Magazine article. “I think they had a Bachelorette who was bisexual, and I just saw a few clips on TikTok. I didn’t watch the season or anything, but it looked like it was pretty well done and done in a very respectful way.”

Becca added, “The one thing that I have learned in my life so far is that you really can’t make everyone happy.”

Bachelor Nation did showcase a same-sex relationship (and brief engagement) between Bachelor alum Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.

“With Demi and Kristian from Bachelor in Paradise, there was that story line, they opened up that conversation. And I think if they do it in a way that’s respectful and just normalizes same-sex relationships, I think there’s a way that it can be done,” Becca continued. “I just worry that, you know, it turns into something — I just never want it to be done in a way that we go backwards. I hope that one day that’s an option and that they consider that. But I also wonder, like, what would that look like for everyone in the house? . . . It would be great TV [if the contestants fell for each other], because you’re all living in a house together. It’s like, ‘How could it not happen?’ If people were having connections.”

Becca continued that she “appreciate[d] the effort of them having that story line on the show,” even though some fans weren’t happy that Kristian wasn’t part of the Bachelor Nation franchise before she showed up in Mexico after connecting with Demi off-screen.

“I think it’s mostly important to show the age old saying, ‘Love is love,'” Becca said. “Just show it–people having the chance to date and fall in love with each other, as opposed to making it a spectacle thing.”

The Bachelor alum (she competed for Chris Soules‘s heart in Season 19) went public with girlfriend Hayley Kiyoko in May after four years of quietly dating. She has since said that the singer is a fan of Bachelor Nation and initially lied to Becca about seeing her on the series.

“Later on, I found out she had in fact watched both of the seasons I was on,” Becca admitted. “I never was like a huge [fan]. I watched it after I was on it, but I wasn’t consistent every Monday. [Now] every Monday that show’s on, we are sitting there and analyzing it. I’m watching it from a different perspective because of, like, being on the show. I can kind of go, ‘Oh, that sounds like maybe a producer asked that question or phrased that question’ and she’ll get so upset.”

No spoilers please, Becca! We all know most of the drama is production driven, but portraying the growth of a same-sex relationship would reflect the world outside of the show.

Bachelor Nation has tiptoed up to the line with a bromance or a close female relationship a time or two, but we’ve never seen a real same-sex romance develop on the show. I agree with Becca that if it’s done in a tasteful and respectful way (I know that’s asking a lot for a show that loves to put people in embarrassing situations and call it “good TV”), it may be time to show a same-sex relationship on The Bachelor franchise.

Big Brother 24 Week 4 Head of Household (HOH) (07/28/22)

A major division has happened this week in the Big Brother 24 house. It’s The Leftovers versus the Girls Girls/Old Skool alliance. Last week, The Leftovers got their way by taking out Ameerah Jones. This left quite a few players pretty confused about the house dynamics and their position in the game. The Girls Girls alliance really needs to win this week’s Head of Household Competition, or it leaves room for The Leftovers to steamroll the game.

The players in most danger of eviction this week are Monte Taylor, Alyssa Snider, Indy Santos, Daniel Durston, and Nicole Layog. Monte may be the Leftovers member most in danger because he’s in a–now faux–alliance with many of the players on the other side. They have started to question his trustworthiness.

Joseph Abdin may also be in jeopardy as Monte’s Festie Bestie, but if Joseph can completely deny his involvement in this week’s blindside, he may be the safer of the pair. Alyssa and Indy could become targets from both sides of the house. The Girls Girls weren’t sure if they could trust Indy, and the day of chaos caused more people to wonder if Alyssa could be trusted.

Her nomance showmance with Kyle Capener has also made people wonder if she’s sharing too much info with him. Kyle also worries about how Alyssa may affect his long-term game. He may want her out before the jury part of the game to eliminate any discussion about them becoming a true showmance.

For many of the houseguests, Daniel and Nicole have become public enemies number one and two. Many houseguests want one or both of them out as soon as possible. Each one of these players really needs this week’s Head of Household power and safety.

On Thursday’s Live Eviction episode, the Head of Household Competition started, but we would have to wait for the results. The HOH Competition was based on the new movie The Invitation. It would happen in multiple parts. The first involved finding a red invitation in a series of envelopes. The first eight players to find them advanced to the next round. The four that didn’t find it, would be out of the HOH race.

Monte is the new Head of Household!

This means that Joseph as his Festie Bestie is now safe. Terrance is also safe because he chose to join him and Joseph. Likely, Monte will nominate Taylor and Nicole, with Nicole being the target. He’ll probably nominate Taylor to keep The Leftovers undercover and keep up the narrative that they’re targeting each other. If he doesn’t nominate Taylor, Daniel and Kyle may see the block.

Married At First Sight Recap: Sand, Sun, and Spouses

Things are finally getting interesting on Married At First Sight. This is one of my favorite parts of the show. The honeymoons really set up our expectations for the rest of the season.  Now that the weddings are over and the couples get a chance to learn more about their spouse. Things are always exciting when the families and friends come into play. Some give a little too much information, while others make their overbearing nature known. There were so many important tidbits that we learned during this episode. I am excited to see how all of these relationships progress. I already have some theories of my own.

Four stranger spouses, who have never met, spend their first night together. They share stories, secrets, and more in bed. Each has a turn on the hot seat to be bombarded with personal questions from their spouse’s friends and family. Things get a little tense for one couple. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Krysten and Mitch

On their first evening together, Mitch is nervous about things being awkward as he struggles to force feelings with Krysten. But as she takes her makeup off and becomes less camera-ready, his mind is put at ease. I don’t understand his obsession with her looks. It was her wedding day for goodness sake. Of course, she is going to be more glammed up because of it. The way he is acting you would think she had Farrah Abraham’s makeup artist. The next morning, the couples chat over breakfast where Krysten learns Mitch is a picky eater. Honestly what isn’t this man picky over? There are so many things that annoy him that he can’t even relax and go with the flow. How dreadful to be matched with a partner who is so in his head about everything.

Mitch then meets with Krysten’s mother and friends, telling them that he’s hoping to be the best version of himself for the marriage. Insert side eye here. Is someone going to tell him he has a lot more to do to reach that goal? Krysten’s people advise him to never lie to her because she has experienced that in past relationships. Meanwhile, Mitch’s family warns her that he can be prideful and too honest. But they don’t want that to deter her from sticking by his side when things get tough.

 

Lindy and Miguel

Miguel meets with Lindy’s family who tell him she can take things personally, but don’t want him to dwell on that. When the topic of sex comes up, things get a bit tense. Lindy’s brother and mother don’t believe they should consummate their relationship until they truly know each other for religious reasons. Lindy doesn’t get a reprieve from the drama because Miguel’s sister and friends have questions of their own.  They are particularly concerned about their incompatible astrological signs and Lindy’s student debt. Sigh! If you ask me, both families get a little too involved in topics that should be discussed with the newlyweds first. When Lindy speaks with Miguel later, she tries to ease his mind about her debt. He has been used in his past and doesn’t want to repeat those mistakes. I don’t think Lindy is expecting him to take care of her debt.

 

Stacia and Nate

Nate raises a bit of a red flag when he calls a side of the bed for himself before even settling into the newlywed suite with Stacia, who is already anxious. Later, they have an in-depth conversation about the importance of communication. He notes that he has a tendency to shut down when things get hard.

Stacia sits down with Nate’s father and friend.  She admits that her workaholic lifestyle could become an issue down the line. Stacia’s mom and friends ask Nate about where he stands on consummating the marriage. He says he’s willing to wait until the time is right for both him and his new bride. Things take an emotional turn when they ask about his past.  He tears up over his family dynamic, which didn’t really include his mom. I love that when he and Stacia discuss their afternoon, Nate readily admits that he got emotional. Stacia also appreciates that he was comfortable to be open.

It obvious Stacia and Nate are attracted to one another. Their chemistry is undeniable. Nate admits he hopes to consummate their marriage on the honeymoon. This leads to a steamy shower moment with his bride. Be careful Stacia, don’t move too fast. I hope they truly get to know one another before going to the next phase of their relationship. We have seen how rushing into a sex can cause issues later.

Alexis and Justin

Justin’s family and friends tell Alexis to treat him kindly because he can be a very sensitive person. He admits to Alexis’ family that he cries when he gets angry. He isn’t the type to totally lose his cool like others, but he does become emotional. As much as this couple gets along, I think this could become a problem in the future. Alexis is strong and independent and having to manage someone else’s emotions may become draining. Arguments and disagreements are inevitable, but I guess we are going to have to see exactly how this plays out.

When the couples meet up during their honeymoon, Alexis and Justin admit they matched on Hinge prior to getting married. They joke that they could have been happily married independent of the show earlier. Honestly, I don’t think Alexis would have given Justin a chance without this experiment. He doesn’t seem to be her usual type, but his personality and the way treats her is what has sold her on him.

 

Morgan and Binh

 

Binh is finally Covid free, so he and Morgan can finally proceed with their wedding. He feels so guilty, he’s willing to treat his bride to a second honeymoon of her choosing for being the reason their wedding is delayed. A nervous Morgan prepares to walk down the aisle alone, since she is not on good terms with her father. While waiting on the ceremony to begin, Morgan receives a book by Pastor Calvin Roberson and her engagement ring. There is a note with his promise to take her on a second honeymoon, which she finds sweet. Binh talks to his mother and hopes she’ll like his bride because her approval is important. When the wedding finally commences, Binh and Morgan greet each other with a hug and smiles as they exchange vows and rings, ending with a kiss. Following their walk down the aisle together, Morgan and Binh get to know each other a little better. Is this a match made in heaven? We will continue to watch to see how this relationship progresses.

Katie Thurston Slams The Bachelorette Contestants As “Rude”

Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia probably expected that being co-stars of this season’s The Bachelorette would have its challenges, but it’s turning out to be no bed of roses.

On the July 25th episode, the announcement was made that the men would be divided into two groups (those here for Rachel and those here for Gabby), so that each Bachelorette could focus on developing relationships with those men who are interested in persuing her, as detailed by E! Online.

I think the plan was to avoid more embarrassing revelations like Gabby had experienced on the group date the night before, when at least two men told her they actually preferred Rachel. Hayden Markowitz actually told Gabby that he thought Rachel’s “morals” alligned more closely with his own and that he thought Gabby was a “little rough around the edges.” What?! Who says that? It was no wonder poor Gabby ended the evening in tears.

Meanwhile back at the Rose Ceremony, Gabby and Rachel took turns offering roses to the men, who had the choice of either accepting the rose or admitting they were actually here for the other Bachelorette. What seemed like a sensible plan quickly took a turn, when no less than three of Rachel’s choices admitted they were more attracted to Gabby. And once her rose had been declined, show host Jesse Palmer swooped in and confiscated the refused rose, denying Rachel the opportunity to offer it to another suitor.

Now it was Rachel‘s turn for tears. As she told Gabby, “This was supposed to be us taking the power back. We literally handed it right back to all of them by doing this.”

“I just feel so bad. And so rejected,” Rachel told Gabby.

“This is how I felt last night,” said Gabby referring to her horrible group date experience.

“But [that] was, like, private. This was so embarrassing and public,” Rachel tearfully said. Um, hello? National television, Rachel. Nothing on this show is “private.”

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston is not having any of it, tweeting, “THIS IS SO F–KING RUDE I HATE THIS.” (My thoughts exactly.)

Katie added in a separate tweet that Gabby shouldn’t let any of these men make her feel bad about herself. “Gabby—you don’t need to be someone’s cup of tea when you’re a shot of whiskey!” Katie encouraged. “Rough around the edges? Find yourself a man who LOVES your boldness.”

Another former Bachelorette contestant Clay Harbor tweeted, “My favorite relationship so far is Gabby and Rachel. They are both pulling for each other regardless of the fact they are forced to compete in a way. Loving this friendship. #TheBachelorette”

And the rest of Bachelor Nation isn’t much happier with situation. As one Twitter user wrote, “It’s okay for the men to prefer one bachelorette over the other, but no need to degrade them and put them down.”

Another fan added, “The stupid thing is that Rachel and Gabby each should’ve had their own group of guys to begin with.”

As disappointing as the episode was, Gabby has previously said that she and Rachel “have no regrets” about the way this season unfolded. “We just both respect each other and love each other so much that we would never, ever want to make the other one feel compromised or like we were competing against each other,” she said. “To me, there was no other way. There was no other option.”

I’m already looking forward to After the Final Rose. I have a feeling Hayden has some heat coming his way for his insensitive treatment of Gabby.

Below Deck Mediterranean Alum Jessica More Is Pregnant

Oh baby! Congratulations are in order for Below Deck Mediterranean alum Jessica More, who recently announced her pregnancy on social media. The Season 5 star was part of Hannah Ferrier’s interior team before the OG chief stew was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn.

Jessica brought a lot of positive energy, and was a team player, both under Hannah and Bugsy Drake, and picked up table-scaping from the latter quite quickly. She caught the eye of deck hand Robert Westergaard and the two started a brooding, passionate love affair onboard. It started unraveling just as quickly as it began, and Robert had a heck of a time deciding whether to follow Jessica to Bali or take part in a transatlantic crossing. Though he decided on Bali, the pair didn’t last on land.

Free-spirited Jessica moved on to live her best life since filming wrapped. She shared some of her journey on social media, from completing a yoga teacher training course in Costa Rica to partying in Tulum, Mexico with Below Deck alums.

Now, to add to her unique journey, Jessica revealed her pregnancy with a set of stunning photos. She is posing poolside in a yellow and orange crochet bikini, her hair up in a messy bun. Baby bump takes center stage.  In addition to announcing the pregnancy, the brunette beauty also shared the sex of her baby. Jessica captioned the photo, “I’ve been waiting a long time to be your mommy, Charli. So blessed and excited for this next chapter with my little princess.”

Jessica revealed in the comment section that she has about 9 weeks left in her pregnancy, putting her at the very start of her eighth month and well into the third trimester. It seems the mom-to-be was incredulous at the beginning of her pregnancy, and “took 4 tests” to confirm the news. She chose to keep the identity of Charli’s father private.

Below Deck alum flooded Jessica’s post with words of congratulations and support. Colin Macy-O’Toole wrote, “Congrats girlie!!” Alex Radcliffe, who was on the same season with Jessica, posted, “Secret is out. Funcle.” Chef Kiko Lorran added, “So happy for you my friend.”

The Challenge USA Spoilers: Big Brother On a The Attack

In the last episode of The Challenge USA, Big Brother showed up and took control of the game. Kyland Young of Big Brother 23 and Angela Rummons of Big Brother 20 won last week’s challenge, which put them in the driver’s seat. With so many players left in the game, there was no need to target any Big Brother players at this point.

James Wallington from the Amazing Race and Tasha Fox from Survivor lost in the arena, and both were eliminated from the competition. Tonight, another challenge will give a new couple power in the game to choose who will fight to save their game in the arena combat. Big Brother has the best numbers in the game, and let’s hope it stays that way.

Week Four Main Challenge

This week’s main challenge is called Falling Off the Knowledge. Each couple has been paired together randomly for this challenge. All the couples will stand on a ledge 250 feet above the ground. They will be asked a trivia question. If the couple answers the question incorrectly, they will be plummeting 150 feet straight down.

This game will be played in 3 rounds. The first round will create a winner’s round and a loser’s round. The winning couple will gain power while the losing couple will compete in the arena fighting for their lives in the game.

Unfortunately, David Alexander from Big Brother 21 and Justine Ndiba from Love Island were the losers and are automatically headed to the arena to fight for their lives.

Once again this week, Kyland Young of Big Brother 23 won again this week. His partner was another Big Brother alumni, Alyssa Lopez from Big Brother 23 as well. They will decide who David and Justine will face off against in the arena.

Week Four Arena Challenge

Kyland and Alyssa chose to put David and Justine in the arena with Xavier Prather from Big Brother 23 and Shantel Smith from Survivor 41. It’s official; Big Brother alumni have finally turned on one another, which happened very early in the game. This is most likely revenge for X winning Big Brother 23 against Kyland and Alyssa in the same alliance, the Cookout.

This competition is called Smash In and Puzzle Out. The teams must race to complete a puzzle, but the puzzle pieces are at the end of a tunnel with panes of glass blocking their route. They must bring each puzzle piece out through the tunnel one at a time.

The first team to complete their puzzle stays in the game while the losing team goes home. The stakes are high.

When it was all said and done, Big Brother took out one of their own as X and Shan lost and were eliminated from The Challenge: USA. X gave a searing goodbye message to his fellow Big Brother alum.

Xavier said, “I played Big Brother Season 23, and I backstabbed everyone, and they’re all petty little bit*hes about it. I’m still rich, y’all broke, and y’all are stupid”.

Well said, Xavier, although he seems to be somewhat of a sore loser this time. Now the Big Brother squad on The Challenge:  USA is down a member.

Crystal Kung Minkoff Tells Former Real Housewife Camille Grammer To “Get A Job” After Camille Calls Her Boring

There are three words that no Real Housewife ever wants to hear: Get a job. But, that’s the exact advice that Crystal Kung Minkoff is giving to Camille Grammer. Throughout season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the former “Most Hated Housewife” has continued her tried and true tradition of criticizing everything about the show where she once starred. Whether it’s about the storylines, the non-waterproof mascara, or the fake friendships, you can bet that Camille will share her opinion. Usually, the shade goes unchecked, but this time, Crystal decided to hit back against the Beverly Hills OG.

In case you missed it, Camille tweeted some not-so-nice things about Crystal’s sophomore year earlier in the season. “Boring Crystal storyline. Ugh. Reaching for a storyline,” Camille shared to her followers as we all navigated the convoluted story about Crystal’s 14 friends that dumped her and Sutton Stracke’s alleged “dark” comment.

Although Crystal has become known for her low-key presence on the show, she had a clapback stored up and ready to go for Camille. When asked about Camille’s criticism, Crystal suggested that she “get a job.” Queens of Bravo captured the hilarious moment on Instagram, and you can spot Rob Minkoff grinning from ear to ear, watching his wife expertly deliver this shade.

“It’s not my style. I’m a very busy person,” Crystal told the interviewer in response to Camille’s “boring” comment. “So, maybe she should get busier. Get a job. I don’t know.”

On Instagram, where the comments seemed to be overwhelmingly on Crystal’s side, Camille dialed back on her criticism of the RHOBH newbie. “I didn’t say she was boring but the so called ‘dark’ storyline was. Stop stirring,” Camille clarified. “She’s very pretty,” she wrote in a separate comment.

Of course, since the “dark” storyline aired, Crystal’s role on the show has taken on a much more serious tone. In the most recent episode, she bravely revealed how she’s actively struggling with an eating disorder, which is more depth and storyline than most veteran Housewives bring to the show. So, give her a break, Camille!
