90 Day Fiance Alums Anny Springs And Robert Springs Announce The Death Of Their Baby Boy

Reality TV shows, depending on the authenticity of their production team, hold a mirror up to real life.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.  They serve as mindless entertainment, and the public can’t get enough.  90 Day Fiance, in particular, provides a unique blend of cultural clashes, everyday issues, and relationship strife.  Fans get heavily absorbed in all the drama, choose sides, and enjoy the entertaining chaos. It’s mostly all in good fun.

Sadly, 90 Day Fiance alums are not immune to the sorrows of life.  Though their tenure on the show may be over, reality stars maintain a following on social media.  So when tragedy strikes, alums still get a ton of support from those that enjoyed watching them on the series.

Earlier this week, Robert Springs and Anny Springs announced that their 7-month-old son Adriel passed away. People reported that the grieving mother shared the tragic news on her Instagram Thursday.  She wrote, “Today is one of the worst days of my life, my son Adriel Spring died, I am devastated and my family…life is so hard and difficult.”

The couple refrained from sharing any further info, though Anny implied that Adriel had a medical issue.  She continued, “I never thought I would lose my son.  He was a fighter… his heart couldn’t take it… my heart is broken it’s a big pain… so difficult.”

Fans and other 90 Day Fiance stars flooded Anny’s Instagram with messages of love.  Amira Lollysa wrote, “I’m so incredibly sorry my friend! I wish I could take your pain away.”

Colt Johnson’s mother Debbie Johnson posted, “Omg, I can’t believe this.  I am so very sorry.  Words can not express the sadness that I feel for you guys and your family.  I’m absolutely devastated.  If I can do anything please let me know.  Just remember that you guys need to be there for each other.  This is just so very sad.  My love and prayers are with you.”

90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days star Akinyi Obala added, “My sincere condolences.  I’m so sorry.  Sending you lots of love.  I pray for you and your family.”

Robert and Anny shared their incredible journey on Season 7 of the hit reality TV series.  After getting engaged within 8 hours of meeting Robert, the Dominican Republic native emigrated to the United States to join her love and his son from a previous relationship.

They defied 90 Day Fiance odds and are still together.  Robert and Anny are loving parents to a 20-month-old daughter named Brenda Aaliyah, and welcomed Adriel in September 2021.  At the time of his birth, Anny called Adriel her “prince” and captioned his picture with, “I thank God that he took care of me and everything went well.  Mamabear, mama in love.”

Below Deck Down Under Recap: Prom Night At Thalassa High

We’ve reached the all-too-familiar point in this season of Below Deck Down Under where everyone’s starting to get on each other’s nerves. Benny Crawley has little respect for Jamie Sayed‘s leadership as bosun. Aesha Scott and Chef Ryan McKeown can’t stand each other. And cracks are even starting to form in Aehsa’s “friends first” management style with Magda Ziomek. But worst of all is Jamie basically choosing to rebel against Captain Jason Chambers‘ authority. After all, te bosun has no qualms about undermining the captain, calling the deck team together to tell them point blank to listen to him over Jason.

At the same time, Chef Ryan‘s down in the galley whipping up his idea of a “pasta extravaganza.” After the guests complained earlier about not having enough food, he’s determined to overcompensate. And that means he’s making rigatoni bolognese, mushroom risotto, vodka penne, spinach and ricotta agnolotti, semolina polenta and seafood linguini. The only problem is that….none of it’s very good. The risotto is bland. The guests ask for more garlic. Plus, it doesn’t actually solve the complaint of wanting a balanced meal with, oh, I don’t know, side dishes or something. Who would want four kinds of pasta, risotto and polenta for dinner? Another fail by Ryan.

below deck down under recap season 1 episode 8 magda ziomek benny crawley vomit in hot tub

After dinner, two of the guests decide to stay up and hit the hot tub. And that’s when the massive amounts of pasta start hitting them with major ramifications. Yes, I can’t believe I’m even typing this, but I’m talking about about one of the guests throwing up in the hot tub. Absolutely revolting. Magda and Benny are up on night shift, and it takes the pair a second to realize that they’re looking at bits of vomit bubbling in the jets. No, Madga, it’s not leaves from the mojitos. As the deckhand, it’s up to poor Benny to drain the jacuzzi and then fish out the vomit using a kitchen strainer. First the overflowing toilets, now this. I truly couldn’t do it if I was him.

Early the next morning, the scent of throw up is still lingering in the hot tub. And tension starts building between Aesha and Magda when the chief stew starts offering completely unsolicited advice about the third stew’s long-distance relationship. (She overheard Magda and her Polish boyfriend Maciek arguing over FaceTime and took the opportunity to point out how perfect her own relationship apparently is by comparison.) It’s been slowly building, but Magda’s starting to feel a little bit judged by her boss. Not only in her romantic life, but also in the smallest of duties, like making an almond latte. Or serving breakfast without tongs. Or, you know, like, texting on the job.

below deck down under recap season 1 episode 8 aesha scott scuba diving great barrier reef

Aesha may be coming down harder on Magda, but she’s getting her own reward from Captain Jason: a scuba diving excursion in the Great Barrier Reef. It’s the first time this season that guests have requested scuba diving instead of snorkeling. And the chief stew got her certification on her last boat, so she’s in luck. Chef Ryan chafes at the special treatment, considering he, too, is scuba certified but wasn’t invited. And that’s not his only complaint, either. The guests have requested a prom-themed party for their second night. And they want to take members of the crew as their dates. So Aesha lets the guests draw crew members’ names out of a hat, but excludes Ryan because, well, someone still needs to cook dinner. But I totally get that feeling left out is never fun. Even if Ryan’s still the worst.

The deck team, meanwhile, is continuing to struggle on this charter. Captain Jason wants the deckhands to start thinking ahead. So he’s pushing them as a way of motivating them to step up. But little, annoying mistakes keep happening. Like him having to ask Culver Bradbury and Brittini Burton to empty out the tender. Or Brittini not knowing how to pick up the port-side anchor. (Hint: she grabbed the starboard remote.) And in Captain Jason’s eyes, all of this falls on Jamie‘s shoulders as an insufficient leader. How are they still making such rookie mistakes?

below deck down under recap season 1 episode 8 benny crawley aesha scott culver bradbury jamie sayed tumi mhlongo prom

It’s time for prom! And somehow, Aesha‘s managed to rustle up actual prom dresses for herself, Brittini, Madga and Tumi Mhlongo for the night. The female deckhand is particularly thrilled at the theme of the night because apparently, she never went to prom in high school. Less enthused is Chef Ryan, who’s stuck in the galley hearing everyone else having fun upstairs. And to add insult to injury, Captain Jason even goes down to the galley to ask the chef to come take a picture of everyone else in with their prom dates. Ouch.

Unlike a traditional prom though, the crew still has to serve the guests after all the pictures and corsages. So while Tumi‘s downstairs cleaning cabins in a dress, Captain Jason‘s the only one who gets to sit down for dinner with the guests. And he’s not all that impressed by what Chef Ryan‘s serving. This time, it’s not so much the flavors but the overall presentation of the food. The guests requested an Asian feast. But the duck buns are essentially finger food. The bok choy’s served in a bowl. It’s all very confusing and not all that cohesive. Thank goodness the prom-goers are distracted by the afterparty Aesha throws on the sun deck.

below deck down under recap season 1 episode 8 magda ziomek

The next morning, it’s the final day of the charter. And Aesha wakes up to a total mess from the night before. Not only is all the prom decor still strewn all over the boat, the laundry room is a disaster too. Magda‘s seriously dropped the ball. To the point that Captain Jason‘s even noticed. He’s also noticed Chef Ryan‘s habit of serving up the bare minimum. But the arrogant chef couldn’t care less about whatever constructive criticism the captain, i.e. his boss, has to offer. He’s not here to cook up Instagram-worthy food. Or apparently make any salads. And he’s sticking to his ways.

After a breakfast of French toast, it’s time for the guests to leave. And on his way out, the primary’s only criticism is…the food. Because of course it is. At the tip meeting, Captain Jason points out that every single department has room for major improvement. But the crew still earned a tip of $16,230 dollars. And the captain awards the disco dunce cap of the charter to Magda. In a follow-up debrief for the interior, the third stew claims she’s improving charter after charter. But Aesha specifically calls out the captain’s issues with what’s happening in the laundry room. And no matter how delicately she chooses her words, the message is received. It’s all Magda’s fault. And she’s officially over it.

Survivor 42 Episode 8 Recap: The Need For Speed

First things first: No, you didn’t miss an episode or a Recap of Survivor…this week was actually “Episode 8.”  Last week’s two-hour episode (a great, great night of Survivor, by the way) was actually “Episode 6” and “Episode 7” according to the CBS episode run-down, so no worries if you don’t see any Recaps here for a seemingly missing “Episode 7.”

With that out of the way, what did you all think? For what seemed to ultimately be an obvious vote-out ended up being another pretty solid episode. How the greatest physical competitor the game has ever seen – yes, I think Jonathan fits this description – is not everyone’s number one target is a giant surprise and a testament to his equally impressive social game. Apparently ole “Goliath” wasn’t the one everyone should have been worried about during these Individual Immunity Challenges. Instead, it has been Tori – the game’s only contestant that at this point would fit the “villain” description – who has so far won both of the two individual challenges they’ve competed in.

Yes Tori, who so far has been the one player that fans have loved to hate, who found herself immune for a second time, and for a second time, not really holding any true power. Her portrayal aside, Tori has proven to be a real “survivor” in this game, having been the intended target numerous times and yet, somehow, someway, she has found herself in the jury-phase of this game and still alive-and-kicking. She does have some good in-game awareness, although it didn’t take her being a rocket scientist to literally catch Drea red-handed this episode. How did Drea not get all of that paint off of her? That seems like an unforced error that could end up leading to Drea’s downfall. I have been one of the biggest Drea fans since the very first episode, and she is in an incredible position of power in this game not just because of her social game and the alliances she has made, but because of the enormous collection of advantages she has amassed thus far. She has one of the three amulets (a twist that has thus far manifested as a nothing-burger), an Immunity Idol, an Extra Vote, and now possesses the coveted “Knowledge is Power” advantage. You may remember that it was used unsuccessfully back in Season 41, but the circumstances were different then. Drea’s new advantage is SO powerful due to the fact that Drea did not appear to share it with anyone, and because it was a new power introduced last season and nobody on this season was able to see Survivor 41, nobody can even imagine this advantage or possibly see it coming. Add to this that the other Idols in the game are common knowledge – with Maryanne and Mike both having one – so Drea knows exactly where to look to get yet another Idol for herself.

In case you missed it, this “Knowledge is Power” advantage allows Drea to ask a question to anyone else, where the person must tell the truth. If she asks if they have an Idol or if they have an advantage, if they say yes, then they must turn it over to Drea right then and there. Imagine the chaos this will cause at some point if used effectively. If Drea can somehow outlast Hai and Lindsay (the other two possessors of the amulet), her amulet would then also become an Idol. That gives Drea potentially THREE weeks of safety with just ten players left, and she would still have an Extra Vote to play with. Has anybody been in the driver’s seat more securely than Drea?

Ah, but as we heard at Tribal Council this week, it’s not all about whose in the driver’s seat…it’s about knowing when to take the wheel and when to let someone else take a spin.

For Chanelle, she admitted in her final confessional that she had basically been ran-over…that she was not playing at the proper speed and others were blazing right past her, strategically speaking. But Chanelle was in a lose-lose situation this week. I thought it was actually her best move to lay low and stay calm…heck, it almost worked and allowed Romeo to nearly sink his own game. But had Chanelle pushed down on the gas pedal a bit harder than she did, she would have still been the obvious target. Her days were numbered after losing all trust earlier in the game, and fell victim to Mike‘s persistence. At least the way the episode was edited, it looked like there was a good push to get rid of Romeo but that Mike basically saved his butt. I’m only a bit surprised that the “shot-in-the-dark” wasn’t played by either or both Chanelle and Romeo, since they both felt like they were the target…and on the off-chance that they BOTH would have played their shot-in-the-dark and BOTH would have been successful? It would have been Romeo’s lone vote that would have sent Hai out of the game! Now that would have been a crazy route for this game to have taken.

But in the end, it went the way it was all supposed to go. So where does that leave Romeo? He’s on the outs, and I think it might be a mistake for Drea to shun him so blatantly. Yes Romeo has grown overly paranoid, to the point where he has become an easy target, so I understand why Drea would want to distance herself from that. But why not keep him close on the down-low? Is it too risky a move for Drea? I guess there are some cons, but having Romeo on her side would not hurt down the stretch. He’s an extra number, and is actually a sound strategist when he’s thinking clearly. It’ll be interesting to see how the Drea/Romeo dynamic plays out.

We see that next week holds another massive twist: Two people will win Immunity but two will go home. How exactly will the voting work? Will there be two distinct Tribal Councils? We shall find out, but as we close out April’s batch of episodes following next week, we’ll be down to just eight remaining contestants, and there’s no sign that the momentum this season has generated is slowing down.

Episode Take-Away: Another good ep on the heels of an epic two-hour night. While the vote-out ended up being expected, there was a lot of good stuff that led up to it. Drea is becoming the front-runner, but man I can’t believe Jonathan is still being allowed to continue in this game. Tori seems to still be the most likely person to be voted out once she isn’t immune at Tribal, but if she can just hang in there long enough, she might end up finding herself in that “swing vote” position among two warring factors in the game. Heck, she’s made it out of so many tough spots thus far, I’m starting to think that she can pull off a deep run. And speaking of a deep-run, do you know a player that absolutely NO ONE is talking about? Lindsay. Fans of the show might point out that she hasn’t exactly been given that “winner’s edit,” but last season’s winner Erika didn’t have a traditional “winner’s edit” either. Lindsay is given a bit of air-time each and every week, and nobody at all is targeting her. Plus, she has that massive hulk Jonathan as a pretty steady meat-shield. She may need to make a big move or two down the stretch to bolster her Survivor resumé, but keep an eye on her! And then there’s Omar, a guy who absolutely has his hands all over this game, who is influencing decisions left and right, and who is also a guy that absolutely nobody is currently worried about. Could Omar be the dark horse to win this thing? And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Mike, another guy who is so well-liked and who is such as straight-shooter, it’s hard to believe he’s already made it this far. It is not common for a guy like Mike to make it so far in the game, and for nobody else to be buzzing about voting him out. He’s the “old guy” on a tribe of bigger targets, yet we saw tonight that he also has massive influence. Can Mike win?

I’m still rooting for Jonathan to win his way to the end in unprecedented fashion, but he’ll have to survive next week’s double-elimination in order to make my dreams come true.

Erik Reichenbach DabuDoodles Art. How about a standing ovation for Erik Reichenbach? His original art from last week, “Catching a Ride to Applebees,” was one of his best and most popular works. All of Erik’s work as well as his “Catching a Ride to Applebees” piece can be found and purchased on his site, DabuDoodles.com, and I urge you to support this amazingly talented former Survivor player!

Out this week: Chanelle

Won Immunity: Tori (2)

  • Hai – Amulet (current power: 1 extra vote if all three are played)
  • Maryanne – 1 Immunity Idol, 1 Extra Vote
  • Mike – 1 Immunity Idol

Next Week’s Episode: Is there an all-dude alliance brewing? A rift forming between Lindsay and Jonathan? And Probst reveals that two people will win Immunity next week, while two will be sent home, leading Romeo to call it his “worst nightmare.”

Selling Sunset Is Filming Their First-Ever Reunion For Season 5

Season 5 of Selling Sunset is right around the corner, and this season is about to be bigger than ever. Everything is elevated this season — the houses, the egos, and the drama. In fact, there’s so much happening this time around that for the first time ever, they’re filming a reunion special.

E! News revealed all the details about the upcoming Selling Sunset reunion, which is set to film on April 24, just two days after the season 5 premiere. Although this reunion seems like the perfect gig for Andy Cohen, he must have been busy that day because Tan France, the fashion expert from Queer Eye, will host Selling Sunset’s first-ever reunion. Of course, we’re used to seeing Tan do the feel-good makeovers on Queer Eye. So we’ll have to see if he has what it takes to ask all of the burning, juicy questions that we expect from a reality TV reunion.

Either way, there should be plenty to discuss at the season 5 reunion. This season, we have Mary Fitzgerald stepping up into her new position as a manager in the office, and surprise, surprise, she’s workplace beefing with Christine Quinn. In the season 5 trailer, Mary warns Christine that she needs to stop “disrespecting the other agents” if she wants a future in the Oppenheim office. Meanwhile, Christine buddies up with the newest cast member, Chelsea Lazkani, and the pair seem keen on becoming the untried queen bees of the office.

Perhaps the most significant thing to chat about at the reunion is the love affair between Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim. The two had a whirlwind romance last year splitting up at the end of 2021. Although it didn’t work out in the long run, having a showmance with the boss caused some friction with the other agents, and they’re going to have to talk about it at this reunion.

With Selling Sunset greenlit for at least two more seasons and its two spinoffs underway, it will be interesting to see if the end of the season reunion becomes a franchise staple or just a one-off for when there’s a lot of drama to discuss. Let’s see how it goes!

TELL US – ARE YOU GOING TO BE TUNING IN TO SEASON 5 OF SELLING SUNSET? HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE SHOW HAVING ITS FIRST REUNION? DO YOU THINK TAN FRANCE WILL MAKE A GOOD HOST?
