We’ve met cat-loving mama’s boys like Colt Johnson (and his mother Debbie Johnson, who’s a star in her own right.) Additionally, the over-the-top diva twins Darcey Silva and Stacey Silva managed to get their own spinoff on the network. TLC has created its own breed of celebrities without a doubt. Because the show centers around people with enough guts to marry strangers from other countries, sometimes, there are a few bad apples in the mix. TLC’s definitely had to fire a few stars for one reason or another. Oftentimes, it has to do with some sort of criminal activity.
Geoffrey Paschel appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days with his Russian love interest Varya Malina. Since he made his debut, trouble has followed. Fans of the show signed a petition to get him removed due to his criminal record, and there was always something off about him. Unsurprisingly, his relationship with Varya did not work out. But following his brief foray into reality TV, Geoffrey found himself with even more trouble with the law. And this time, he’s going to be going away for a long time.
Geoffrey was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault involving his former fiance (who did not appear on 90 Day). The charges came after he assaulted the woman and refused to let her leave her residence, forcing her to escape to a neighbors house to call the police. Now, according to E! Online, Geoffrey has been sentenced to 18 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
The District Attorney of Knox County, Tennessee said that the sentence will prevent other victims from being abused by Geoffrey for a very long time. The 90 Day Fiance star maintains his innocence, and his lawyer intends to pursue a new trial and/or appeal his sentencing. It sounds like justice was served against a man who has a bad violent habit.

There's no steering Sydney Sweeney away from her favorite hobby. Sure, she's glam on Euphoria as boy crazy Cassie, but off camera, she's getting down and dirty, fixing up her...Whew Mary Cosby really loves to keep us guessing. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has been under intense scrutiny lately for not only her actions on the show, but for skipping the season 2 reunion. After accusations about her racially insensitive comments on the show, it was rumored that she didn’t want to show up and explain herself. And we haven’t even gotten to the part where she didn’t want to deal with being accused of being a cult leader. In short, there are likely a multitude of reasons why Mary didn’t want to attend.
But Mary was more than happy to clear the air. Sort of? She previously tweeted, “I didn’t go to the reunion. Those girls don’t deserve my presence. Whitney [Rose] can go jump on a stripper pole for all I care. I only care about 1 thing my church. Haters can go jump. PrayForJesus.” Not the stripper pole!
Since we all know that skipping a reunion is the kiss of death for a housewife, the gossip is that Mary isn’t returning for season 3 of RHOSLC. And she supposedly hasn’t been seen filming either, furthering the speculation. But Mary took to Twitter again when she heard that she was exiting the show.
Page Six tweeted, “JUST IN: Mary Cosby exits ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ after 2 seasons.” Mary immediately fired back and responded, “This Story Is Not True!! This is a complete Fabrication’ A Complete Lie!’ I have not spoke to anyone!!” Is she just saying that she did not “leave” and she got fired? Or is she implying that she’s somehow still a part of the show, which does not seem to be accurate?
I’m not even going to lie, I am shocked that she responded to this. Especially because she has seemed so disinterested this season. Not to mention the recent comments she made in a Twitter Spaces conversation. Mary said about not attending the reunion, “The only thing I have to say about the reunion is I didn’t go because it was one-sided. Everyone heard one side of what they felt…I mean, they told lies, one side of my story.”
Even Andy Cohen seemed to allude to her being done after a conversation about her not going. He revealed, “I had a sense. I spoke to her on New Year’s Eve a few hours before I went on the air. We had a long talk and it’s her story to tell, but I got the sense that she was not finding gratitude in being on the show anymore.”
While Andy acknowledged that Mary was “an integral part” of the show’s success, he doesn’t support ditching reunions. He explained, “You allow others to control your narrative. As your last gesture, I would much rather hear from her.”
Well, thanks to Twitter, I guess we did hear from her. It just wasn’t the way we expected. And we still don’t have an official statement from anyone, including Mary, on whether or not she has actually left/been fired. Why wouldn’t she have said something by now? Is she shopping her story? Is Bravo still trying to convince her to sign on? So many questions, and none of them being answered. Mary remains a confusing figure on the show. And even more so off of it.

Meredith Marks has been through her fair share of social media drama as of late. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has been defending herself regularly on Twitter. Once the latest episode of RHOSLC dropped, Meredith felt the need to clear a few things up.
After the ladies continued to suggest that she lied about the date of her deceased father’s memorial, Meredith had to post the receipts of her hotel stay. The women were trying to piece together a conspiracy theory that Meredith lied about the date. All to avoid being on the sprinter van that the FBI swarmed looking for Jen Shah. Her castmates alleged that Meredith tipped off law enforcement so didn’t want to be there when it all went down.
Meredith then appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live and was forced to face Lisa Barlow’s “hot mic” moment. Mad at Meredith for I’m not totally sure what, Lisa went on a complete tirade, all caught while she was mic’d up. And she said some incredibly mean things about Meredith. Meredith was doing her best to get through it with a smile. But fans were busy picking apart her appearance. The ultimate take away from social media was that people thought Meredith’s face looked “swollen.”
As reported by Page Six, Meredith took to her Twitter once again to defend herself. She tweeted, “As I am being asked about my swollen face on #WWHL, yes my face was swollen that day. No it was not a cosmetic procedure.” She continued, “You can see on my insta story pic taken the next day where the swelling is down. I am human. Not every day is perfect. Sorry.”
The online speculation couldn’t have been easy for Meredith to read. One user suggested, “Meredith got something done to her face. #WWHL.” Another added, “What happened to Meredith’s face? It looks like it hurts #WWHL #RHOSLC.” The questioned continued, “Did Meredith get fillers? Her face looks strange #RHOSLC.”
The more vicious viewers compared her to a “puffer fish.” Some drew a comparison to Shannon Beador’s infamous season 15 reunion face. Shannon later admitted that she got too much filler and was shown getting it dissolved on the current season of Real Housewives of Orange County.
But Meredith has plenty of supporters online too. One responded, “you don’t have to explain yourself gorgeous queen.” A second person tweeted, “Swollen but still beautiful!” Finally, someone reassured her, “i have ‘puffy days’ too, i thought you looked stunning as always.”

In case you weren’t aware, Celebrity Big Brother premiered this week on CBS. Because of its shortened format compared to its predecessor Big Brother, we are treated to a whole lot of drama jam packed into a mere three weeks. And apparently, a whole lot of headwear looks from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Teddi Mellencamp. Who, besides Gina Kirschenheiter packs this many hats? Just saying.
Joining Teddi and her questionable accessory choices on this season of Celebrity Big Brother is seasoned reality vet (and Kyle Richards stan), Carson Kressley. Surprisingly (or maybe not) Carson has seemingly ignored Teddi, in favor of forming an alliance with Shanna Moakler, Todrick Hall, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey. All of whom he knows from previous reality interactions.
The season’s first HOH has already been played, and won, by UFC fighter Miesha Tate. In the last few seconds of the competition, only Miesha, Todrick, and Teddi were left hanging like puppets. A questionable nod toward Chris Kirkpatrick‘s “Bye Bye Bye” video perhaps? Considering the competition started with everyone walking the runway, I wonder if all competitions will tie back to a celebrity in some way. Can we also take a second to appreciate how Chris works in an NSYNC song title into every confessional? But I digress.
During the competition Todrick asks Meisha if he drops, to keep him safe. She readily agrees. Teddi asks for the same favor but is rejected. I lowkey wonder if Meisha is a RHOBH watcher and knows Teddi for the pot stirrer she is. While Meisha ultimately targets Carson and figure skater Mirai Nagasu for the block, it looks like Teddi will be the backdoor replacement.
While many, eh-hem, have predicted that Teddi would be the first housemate voted out, this is sad news for her father, John Mellencamp. According to Page Six, while John is excited to watch his daughter on television, he isn’t quite sure what she’s doing there. Teddi’s early ouster certainly won’t give him the opportunity to find out.
John took to Instagram to share a photo of him and Teddi as a child; as well as a photo of the two of them with Teddi’s two daughters.
John’s amusing caption was as follows, “A television show that Teddi is on premieres tonight. I don’t know what she’s doing, but I’m proud of her and hope she achieves her goals.” Neither do we John, neither do we.
I hate to say I told you so, but…

Celebrity Big Brother 2022 kicked off its second-week last night with the Head of Household Competition. Teddi Mellencamp became the first player evicted during the Friday special 2-hour episode. It was two hours full of twists, including one where Mirai Nagasu became safe because of the mon won (backward means nom now) twist. Mirai came off the block and Todd Bridges went up in her place.
Todd vs Teddi showed where some of the houseguests stood in the 2022 Celebrity Big Brother 3 house. Carson Kressley, Cynthia Bailey, and Chris Kattan were the only houseguests to vote out Todd, and everyone else voted out Teddi. This basically meant that Carson, Cynthia, and Kattan were at the bottom of the house by voting against the norm. One of them needed to win the Head of Household or anticipate one or two of them seeing the block this week, possibly all three of these Celebrity Big Brother 2022 players.
The Head of Household Competition played out late last night. The feeds returned to Chris Kirkpatrick winning HOH. Normally, anyone else in the dominating alliance would make things seem this week and target one of the three that voted against the majority, but Kirkpatrick and Mirai had some conflict before the Celebrity Big Brother 3 live feeds began. He was even also one of the few houseguests trying to keep Teddi in the game and get Mirai out.
It seemed fairly obvious that Mirai would be Kirkpatrick’s target this week. He decided to get straight to the point and nominated Mirai. Lamar Odom and other names were also discussed as a pawn. We have a speed week, but anything can happen between now and Monday’s eviction, especially with the Power of Veto Competition and Ceremony likely happening Sunday.

We're bowing down to this milestone. On Feb. 6, Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee officially begins, as it marks 70 years since the British royal ascended to the throne. And,...Friday’s two-hour live show and eviction on Celebrity Big Brother gave us the season’s firs POV (Power of Veto) competition, sidestepped the fact that Lamar Odom pooped the bed (read all about that here), and revealed what the “Curse of Mon Won” was…all leading to the season’s very first eviction. It was filled with drama, strategy and buffoonery…just how we like our Big Brother.
But First (to steal Julie Chen‘s iconic phrase), those in the Reality TV “know” knew that a history existed between Shanna Moekler and Lamar Odom, with Shanna once referring to Lamar’s ex, Khloe Kardashian, as a donkey on national TV. In this episode, Shanna confesses that she regrets the famous moment, having meant the comment for Kim Kardashian and not Khloe, whom she didn’t really know. Lamar hasn’t said anything yet – heck, he might not even remember the incident after everything he’s been through – and Shanna doesn’t plan to bring it up unless asked directly about it. But you can tell that her remorse for the comment was true.
This “donkey confession” was the highlight of the live-eviction episode’s first quarter, with the second quarter focusing on the season’s first POV comp. Carson Kressley blew away the competition and had the fastest time, and it’s a good thing, because he quickly went from pawn on the block whom everybody loves, to everybody realizing he’s the biggest threat in the house…all in the span of 24 hours. His impressive POV win meant that he was assuredly going to pull himself off the block, leaving Mirai Nagasu up there, with HOH Miesha Tate tasked with naming a replacement nominee for Carson. So who was Miesha considering?
It really came down to two options: Either the safer, cleaner nomination of Chris Kattan (still seemingly clueless in this game) or Miesha could decide to renege on her recent deal with Teddi Mellencamp, and go through with the back-door plan that she had originally been considering. With some nudging by her ally Todrick Hall (still in firm control of the game), Miesha decided to “go big” and target Teddi…and why not? Todrick seemed to come to the realization that this version of Big Brother is purposely fast-paced, and there is no reason to not “go hard” right out of the gate. We’ll see if it ends up being the correct strategy or not. Miesha decided to give Teddi the heads up that she was going to be the replacement nominee, and it obviously didn’t sit too well with Teddi. To Teddi’s credit, she didn’t go all “Teddi” on Miesha and instead went to work to try to save herself from eviction.
It nearly worked, and Teddi was indeed put on the block by Miesha as a replacement for Carson. But there was one more big factor that needed to play out in the episode: The “Curse of Mon Won.” You may remember that Cynthia Bailey won immunity this week, as well as a posh handbag-hat, but there was a promised “curse” that would befall another player too. Right in front of the houseguests’ noses, when the “Mon Won” logo on the bag was flipped upside down, it said “Nom Now.” What ensued was basically a reversal of the previous Mon Won exercise, where one at a time, the bag would be given to another house member…except this time, the one left standing with the bag would not win immunity but instead would become a replacement nominee, and would have the power to choose which of the two current nominees – Mirai or Teddi – to replace. Cynthia gave the bag to Shanna, Shanna gave it to Chris Kirkpatrick who in turn gave it to Todrick. Todrick then gave it Chris Kattan who ended up with the power to choose one of the two remaining players: Lamar Odom or the forgotten Todd Bridges. Based most likely on Todd’s snoring and not any trace of actual strategy, Kattan chose to save Lamar, which left Todd Bridges as a nominee. Todd then decided to replace Mirai, and the two noms were officially set: Either Todd Bridges or Teddi Mellencamp would become the first celebrity evicted from the Big Brother house.
In a vote of 5-3, the house decided to take out Teddi, despite the fact that she really, truly wanted to stay and play the game…a start contrast, seemingly, to the oblivious Todd Bridges. Lamar, Todrick, Kirkpatrick, Mirai and Shanna all voted out Teddi, while Kattan, Cynthia and Carson voted for Todd. In her exit interview with Julie Chen Moonves, Teddi revealed she felt the most betrayed by Todrick, but also showed her true lack of in-game awareness when she picked Lamar and Kattan as the two players she thinks might be playing the best game!
The episode really feature only two other memorable scenes…the first one was a very candid, emotional discussion about race and racism between Mirai and Lamar. Secondly, in an attempt to get on the HOH’s good side, Shanna revealed to Miesha by name the existence of the “Formation” alliance that had been started, which definitely raised Miesha’s eyebrows, but also showed just how far Shanna is willing to go in this game to ensure her own safety.
I still think Todrick is in a good spot, although we saw with Carson how quickly things change in this game. It will be interesting to see if Miesha made more friends than enemies as she won’t be eligible to compete in the next HOH. And will Kattan and Bridges finally reveal their secret power alliance that has been controlling the house? Tune in!
The next episode of Celebrity Big Brother comes Sunday, where we will learn who becomes the next HOH and who they nominate for eviction…Monday’s episode will show the POV comp and ceremony, setting up our next eviction for Wednesday, Feb. 9th.
