Season 10 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hasn’t even started yet but there is so much gossip coming out of this cast that I’m living for it all. The cast has been on what seems like a press tour, responding to all kinds of rumors about what’s going to happen this season. It does make me wonder if they can all live up to the hype now that we are going to see our first season minus Lisa Vanderpump. It does kind of seem like the cast is trying pretty hard to let us all know we won’t be disappointed and I hope we aren’t.
So let’s do a quick recap of what all the fuss has been about. First, there was the addition of new cast members Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke to help add some flair to the existing group. Then there are the lawsuits – Erika Jayne and husband Tom Girardi have been sued for an unpaid debt, calling the lawsuit a “publicity stunt”. Dorit Kemsley has not only been hounded by not only her own lawsuit but divorce rumors from husband PK Kemsley . They have both denied that they are headed for a split and tried hard to do some much needed damage control. Next we find out that Kim Richards is putting out an “unafraid and unapologetic” memoir that sister Kyle Richards didn’t even know she was writing.
Finally we come to the biggest doozy of them all, which will likely be a central story line on the season: the Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville hookup rumors. Unless you’ve been living under a rock completely devoid of all housewives news, you have likely heard plenty about this, with multiple cast members weighing in on their thoughts. Denise also responded to the rumors, vehemently denying she hooked up with Brandi or that she has an open marriage. Whew that was a ride.
Sounds like there is plenty of drama to go around and how shall we see about that? Us Weekly reports that Erika is ready to dish, telling the Watch What Happens Live crowd that Lisa Rinna is the biggest pot-stirrer on this upcoming season. Erika made the lighthearted observation while playing a game of “Spoiler Superlatives”.
I think that comes to no surprise to anyone who has watched Lisa on past seasons. We all know she’s always in the middle of every fight, lurking in the background and feeding information back to everyone yet walking away with clean hands. And isn’t that what we loved about Lisa?
Lisa was also handed the title of Funniest Drunk, while Erika crowned herself the MVP of the girls’ trip “because I attended”. That’s the Erika we know and love. Denise also got a call out. When host Andy Cohen asked Erika which of her cast members will have “the most to answer for at the reunion,” she didn’t even take a moments pause to answer, “Denise.”
I’m 100% ready to see how Lisa inserts herself into all this.

There were games and sports galore on last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta, but undoubtedly the thing to watch was Marc Daly and Kenya Moore‘s fascinating marriage! And Marc, he’s not playing around when it comes to the rules fo his wife!
When Marc is in the room, it’s literally the only thing anyone can focus on. Everyone circles around, watching, witnessing – it’s almost a religious experience to observe Kenya be de-twirled by Marc’s systematic demands. He’s a drill sergeant, and she’s at [licking] boot camp. Kenya is usually the one spinning everything up, ruling the scene with predictable unpredictable behavior, but when Marc is present she morphs into a shadow of her former self. This reversal of position is both electrifying and depressing.
While Kenya is wrestling with marital mishaps, Cynthia Bailey is wrestling with Open Mike’s revelations. Mike Hill has written a confessional memoir about his past as a philandering ladies man who eviscerated every relationship he’s ever been in. Also, he’s a terrible arguer. And Michelle Obama says couples need to learn how to argue. So now Cynthia wants couples counseling. Which means she did learn something after all from her terrible marriage to Peter Peter Bank Account Eater.
Cynthia also wants to have faith in this New Mike, who vows not to stray, not even across the street, but realistic 52 Cynts wants to manage marriage no 2 better. So after an argument with Mike about how they can’t have productive arguments, he returns to LA, where he’s had time to think about counseling. Mike calls with the surprise news that he’s found a couple’s counselor and next time he’s in town they’ll go together. After all, therapy worked wonders for Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley. It did…. ? [Insert Side Eye here] [Still side-eyeing] […. yep, STILL side-eyeing…] But anyway, CHill it is not.
Then there is Nene Leakes. NeNe is just so worn out, soooo exhausted, soooooooo depleted after hosting her draining Leopard Lunch. I hasten to call something that happened at 4 pm a “lunch,” so how about a Leopard Early Bird Special? NeNe tells Gregg the most upsetting thing was that Kenya only stayed for 7 minutes. This pettiness and disrespect have hurt NeNe so badly. What NeNe is NOT focusing on is the reason Kenya only stayed for 7 minutes: It’s because Kenya showed up – 30 minutes late! – and NeNe wasn’t even present at her own event. So Kenya left. Then NeNe didn’t arrive for another TWO WHOLE HOURS.
NeNe’s anger isn’t justified in that instance. Luckily she has another, more legitimate reason, for being upset: Marc is in Atlanta to host a male empowerment event, and he wants Gregg and NeNe to attend. He also was Gregg to speak. Which really is a mistake if Wendy Williams is to be believed… Of course, Marc’s also expecting DENNIS to participate, so his standards for what constitutes a positive male role model are apparently rock bottom. Anyway, since Marc is not Instagram, he asked Kenya to advertise the event so she tagged every single one of her cast members and their husbands – even Gregg – except for NeNe! Oops. Obviously, NeNe is livid.
Yes, Kenya is playing lots of games here. Lots and lots of games. But as soon as Marc steps up to the plate she scuttles over to the sidelines or hides in the dugout as Water Girl. Or Water Ken.
In addition to mind games, Kenya is also playing kickball. She and Kandi Burruss get all the ladies together for what actually turned out to be a super-fun competition. Eva Marcille, who did not go into labor, but is now on the most un-bedded bed rest of all times, shows up, but can’t play so she subbed in her stylist, Barbie, instead. In retaliation for Kenya’s behavior at the Leopard Lunch, NeNe can’t possibly spare the time to attend. As if anyone misses her.
The ladies who did show up are divided into two teams. Team Hurricane, led by Kandi and featuring Porsha, who brought a booty that is easily mistaken for the actual kickball. And Team Twirl led by Kenya and featuring Marlo Hampton, an expert at juggling balls in any form, who is determined to win. And they do! In a crushing defeat. It was all in fun though, and afterward, surprise! Kenya and Kandi decide the unification must continue with a group trip to Greece. Yaaaaaaaay… except also Naaaaaay, as in NayNay, which sounds a lot like NeNe, who will be invited by Kandi. Much to Kenya’s chagrin. It seems everyone is inviting NeNe places behind Kenya’s back and without her agreement.
For instance, Marc has decided to host a couples bowling event so he can meet all the husbands before his charity function. Obviously, Kenya does not want NeNe there. She tells Marc that NeNe almost fought her in Toronto, which is the reason she’s is keeping her distance. Marc doesn’t care. He wants Gregg to be present at his event so he will go over his wife’s head of VERY REAL NON-WIG hair to include them. Clearly, Marc does not subscribe to the age-old principle that if your wife doesn’t like someone the husband doesn’t either. It’s called loyalty, and that bitch ain’t got none. I wonder in what other areas is Marc disloyal?
Still, Kenya is managing the bowling guest list and managed to leave NeNe out. She also informed Tanya Sam that she couldn’t come if Paul Judge wasn’t available since it was a “couple’s only event.” Yet it was totally fine for Cynthia and Eva to attend without their men. What kind of bed rest includes bowling, btw?! Marlo, being single, was left out completely. Well, Marlo is wedded to her wigs and her Chanel, doesn’t that count?
The thing is Kenya talks a big game about how no one better come for her and nobody puts her in the corner, but someone does put “Ken” in the corner. That someone is Marc. With Marc, Kenya has an altered named Ken. Someone who is condescended to and talked down to. Ken doesn’t speak up. Ken smiles vacantly at the floor as her husband makes edicts for the both of them, regardless of her true feelings, which all her friends know. This is what happens at bowling.
Marc runs the show, and Ken plays his trusty sidekick. The magicians assistant, and Marc’s best trick is pulling a subservient Kenya out of his hat. Porsha and Cynthia notice immediately that something is different about Kenya. Cynthia explains that Marc “doesn’t play” (except with Kenya’s emotions) and keeps a tight reign on his wife. The second Marc’s back is turned, however, Kenya acts out like a wayward child. For instance, Marc straight up yells at Kenya for telling Tanya she was only invited as part of a couple. According to Marc he never said “couples only,” and he will NOT have Kenya mincing his words. She just smiles vacantly and apologizes. Porsha looks on, sucking that straw full of Hennessey and wishing she had ordered popcorn, not pizza.
With Kenya on her best wifely behavior, Porsha takes the opportunity to confront her about calling Tanya a C-U-Next-Tuesday. Tanya is disgusted by the insult, and Porsha is not impressed that Kenya went there. She’s not surprised though. But in this post-Marc era, when the hubs is away, the Ken will play. Play dirty that is.
All throughout bowling Marc continues snapping at Ken to be quiet, behave, and knock it off. As if she is a literal child instead of a grown woman who merely acts like a teenager 95% of the time. While I have been waiting to see someone put Kenya in her place, this is just sad. It’s also strangely anticlimactic to have Kenya married to a dogmatic bully who doesn’t appreciate her in the least. It’s like Ken – do something! Twirl your hair back and forth in his face. Get in the game. Keep your eye on the ball. Look alive!!
This subject of NeNe will not drop. Once bowling ends Marc stands up to make a speech. Or more of a proclamation about what his event stands for and why everyone is going to put their differences aside for the sake of charity. There is no “I” in “team,” after all! Unfortunately, Kenya didn’t get the memo when she refused to tag NeNe in the invite. Just as Marc is lecturing Ken on being immature and selfish for defying his orders to include everyone associated with a television camera – in walks NeNe with Gregg! First of all, why is NeNe super late AGAIN?! Second of all, why is she wearing SUNGLASSESindoorsrs at night? Is she a 1980’s pop star? Or maybe that was protective eye gear in case Kenya popped off? Third of all, if this event is about unity, why is it really all about Marc??
If looks could kill NeNe would have been strangled by her sequined turban right before Kenya’s eyes, but because Marc was there Ken bites her viper tongue and makes cordial nice. It’s like Kenya turned into Duchess Kate. Well a Bravo-tized version, anyway. King Marc welcomes NeNe and Gregg with open arms, sealing a truce between two power couples (ha) with a stacking of hands and a decree that he will never split up a family. OK, dude – this is a PARTY, it’s not that serious. Also if the rumors are true Gregg fathered a child with his mistress, so he’s the one splitting up families. ALLEGEDLY. Marc is taking himself, broker of peace, savior of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, waaaay too seriously and he’s not taking his relationship with his wife seriously enough.
With Marc’s back turned, NeNe leans into Kenya – way too into her personal space, I might add – to insist there are no hard feelings on her end. NeNe wants Kenya to declare that they are truly good, but Kenya is not there yet. Ken may have civility, but Kenya warns NeNe that this discussion is far from over. It’s postponed for the next time Marc’s back is turned.
LORD, this marriage is TOXIC.

This season, we will witness five new relationships and the continuation of one well known train wreck. 90 Day Fiancé Before The 90 Days is back with a vengeance! They definitely took the naïve, crazy and scammers and mixed them all together into one big ball of confusion that we have come to know and love. Just from watching the trailer, I have seen everything I need to see to confirm that I will be tuning in every Sunday to see this shit show unfold. Join me every week watching these poor unfortunate souls beg fight for love.
These couples will embark on a mission to meet their overseas soul mates in person for the very first time. Neither friends nor family can stop them from seeing if their dreams of true love can become reality. I doubt things will pan out exactly the way they plan, but who am I to stop them from trying to entertain us all? Let’s get straight into the recap!
Ed is a divorced father of one who hasn’t been in a relationship in 28 years after cheating on his ex-wife. Things suddenly changed when he met his long-distance girlfriend, Rosemarie, on social media. The pair connected through Facebook and quickly fell in love, despite the 30-year age gap. He has already spent over $5,000 in gifts and shipping to his international love.
Ed is ready to go to the Philippines and propose to Rose. Although they frequently video chat with one another, he has been hiding a secret due to insecurities. He has yet to reveal his true height of 4’11”, which is a little shorter than Rose standing at 5’2″. All I can do is shake my head right now. This storyline has reality gold written all over it. Something tells me things aren’t going to be as romantic, when they finally meet. What does a woman want from a man thirty years her senior in America? Hmmmm…. let me guess.
Ed’s mother is concerned that his new love is only using her son for money. When he reveals his plan to propose, his mom advises him to return the ring. Currently, his daughter isn’t speaking to him after learning about his relationship with a woman six years younger than her. It’s obvious Ed is desperate for love and just wants to be happy. I don’t think it will be a fairy tale ending with Rosemarie though.
Rosemarie is a single mother to a son she already has calling Ed “daddy.” Sigh! Even Ed thinks it a little too soon for a child to refer to him that way, but accepts them both as a package. When he attempts to ask Rose about some of his concerns, the call ends abruptly. Due to his lack of trust, he wants Rose to take an STD test when he visits. At least, he isn’t completely oblivious; there is clearly something off with this picture.
Avery is a single mother of two, who is passionate about health, fitness and marijuana. Before she met Ash, she was a dark place trying to get over past hurt from previous relationships. Ash reached out to her via Instagram nine months ago and they have been talking ever since. Avery is planning a trip to finally meet her long distance love in person.
She has some serious concerns about her new man’s career. Ash is a relationship coach who only works closely with single women to help them find love. Sounds like a great cover story for some BS! Avery isn’t comfortable with the amount of hours he spends with these women day and night. Their trust issues have already led to several breakups in the short time they’ve been together.
Avery meets with friends and shares her plans to meet her boo in Australia. Her friends are concerned when they learn Ash can’t get a visa due to a bankruptcy. There was also a situation where his social media had a single status and all of Avery’s pictures were deleted, in the past. Although she chose to believe him, she is still unsure whether he is hiding something. Am I the only one who sees all the red flags waving in the wind?
Geoffrey is a divorced father of four who has had a few failed marriages already. He met his Russian girlfriend Varya, through an international dating site. The two had instant chemistry and quickly fell in love. He loves the fact that she is an independent career woman with similar goals to him. His family is worried he might be rushing things with Varya in order to fill the void that was left after Geoffrey lost his son. Shortly after he and his second wife divorced, his 1-year-old son passed away. Geoffrey thinks it may have made him more openhearted, but trusts the connection they have made.
Geoffrey meets with his friend, who happens to be Russian like his online girlfriend, Varya. Even she calls his actions stupid and warns he may be getting used by Varya. Geoffrey better listen to his friend, she is making some great points. She worries that a woman who lives in the city will be miserable living in the rural country very quickly. She also questions whether the fact she already knows how to speak such great English is a clue about her true goals.
Lisa is a divorced mother who works in hospice care to help make ends meet for her family. She connected with Usman, a Nigerian entertainer who is twenty years younger on social media. I think I am having déjà vu. This woman could easily be Angela Deem’s cousin. Insert side eye emoji here. Usman, aka “SojaBoy,” has many female fans who frequently message him on social media. Lisa regularly confronts Usman and the women who leave questionable comments on his Instagram page. This has obviously put a strain on their long distance relationship.
Lisa meets with a friend to detail her plans to marry Usman while in Nigeria. She details her “secret plan” to ensure they have a great sex. She intends not to use condoms while there since he supposedly has always had safe sex. WTF! Is this woman crazy or stupid? When her friend expresses concern, she continues to reference a song he wrote for her that states her name in the lyrics. Ummm… I’m sure none of his fans believe she is woman he is talking about in that song. Whew, the delusion is real!
After Yolanda’s husband of 30 years passed away, she decided to change her life. She lost over 150 pounds and started living a healthier lifestyle. After sharing her weight loss journey and transformation online, Williams reached out to her on Instagram and the two have been together for seven months.
Yolanda loves her man, but the two have NEVER actually video-chatted, their only communication is phone and text. Every time they have tried to video chat, he claims his camera is broken. Yolanda’s daughter is worried that her mom is going to meet a man that is probably catfishing her. Williams may not be the only one with a secret. Yolanda still hasn’t revealed her true age to Williams. Yolanda is about to take a trip to England to meet Williams in person. Her daughter will be in tow to make sure that her mom is safe. Who in this day and age can’t find a way to video chat with someone?
Ummm…. is it just me or did Williams not sound British when Yolanda spoke to him on the phone? I felt really bad listening to her gush about a man who I’m afraid probably isn’t real. She is excited just because he says he is going to pick her up from the airport. SMH!
Yolanda prepares to tell her children about her relationship with Williams. She is worried they won’t understand after never seeing her with another man outside of their father. Of course, they are shocked their mother is speaking to someone on the internet that she has never seen. Yolanda, you may want to listen to your kids!
Anyone technologically savvy would have access to some type of device to be able to video chat at some point in seven months. She breaks down in tears trying to explain why she is so invested in her relationship. After seeing her cry, the kids decide to support their mother’s decision. There is something very endearing about Yolanda. I would hate to see her taken advantage of in this process. But I fear it may be inevitable.

Let’s face it. Season 6 of Southern Charm was not the greatest. There seemed to be a spark missing from the series. It is almost as if some of the charm of the show disappeared. Thomas Ravenel departed after Season 5 in a cloud of ugly legal issues. Kathryn Dennis was more private, possibly due to her legal wrangling with Thomas over custody of their children. Shep Rose appeared to have turned into that angry old man who lives on the corner.
Rumors about whether or not the show would return started cropping up in the fall, as Southern Charm has traditionally filmed during that time of year. Austen Kroll confirmed last November that the show had not yet started filming. In the same month, Craig Conover hinted Southern Charm would be returning, but offered little in the way of details. Now, there is some dish to share about the future of our charmers.
According to an article from Us Weekly, Southern Charm has finally started filming Season 7. Danni Baird posted a photo from a car with cameras set up via her Instagram Story on Thursday, February 20. She captioned the picture, “7th time’s a charm #SouthernCharm.”
Isn’t that great news? When Southern Charm is good, it is one of the best reality shows on television. Maybe the long hiatus has been spent in retooling the show. At least that is what I am hoping. Personally, I would much rather wait for a good show instead of something mediocre–or worse.
In another tease, Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner were seen together on Wednesday, February 19th. Naomie shared a photo with Chelsea via Instagram, captioned, “Just a couple of socially anxious girls living in a really crowded world.” The two are pictured together at an outdoor event.
Kathryn posted an Instagram Story with Austen’s sometime girlfriend Madison Lecroy on Thursday night. You know when social media starts ramping up, it is a likely sign that filming has commenced.
So far, there is no official word on casting for Season 7. It is probably a safe bet that most of the usual suspects will be returning as the Southern Charm cast is made up of genuine friendships, unlike some reality shows. According to the Us Weekly article, neither villainess Ashley Jacobs or her ex Thomas are likely to return.
There will certainly be a lot to catch up on with the cast. Craig has had recent business success with his pillow line. Shep has–well–continued to make an occasional fool of himself on social media. Sadly, Naomie lost her father in January, so that will likely be a part of the upcoming season.
Something that will be interesting about the upcoming show will be that filming starting in February means that we will likely be treated to a beautiful Charleston springtime as the season progresses. Count me in!
