Exclusive: Kathryn Dennis Shares Her Thoughts On ‘Southern Charm Savannah’

The original Southern Charm premiered this week, but next month, fans will have another bit of sweet tea to enjoy with Southern Charm Savannah. And who is better to give fans a bit of the inside scoop than Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis, who recently had the chance to meet with some of the Savannah cast on a trip down south.

Kathryn explained that she went down to Savannah and met up with Southern Charm Savannah‘s Ashley Borders and W. Nelson Lewis Jr. and had a great time. While most of the original Southern Charm cast met just prior to the Bravo show’s launch four seasons ago, Kathryn explains that the Southern Charm Savannah cast have been friends since way back.

“The Southern Charm Savannah cast have all been friends since they were kids,” Dennis explains. “And so they all really know each other inside and out.”

But Kathryn explains that she bonded with Ashley because she thinks that she will be the “free spirit of Southern Charm Savannah.”

“Like me, Ashley has a child, and that is her priority,” Kathryn explains. “She is a free spirit, and does her own thing, and sees things from a unique perspective.”

While Ashley was born and raised in Savannah, she has traveled the world, lived abroad, and is a successful fashion designer with an artsy spirit. She returned to Savannah to raise her son, Izzy, in a manner similar to the way she was raised.

While W. Nelson Lewis Jr. has currently been cast as a “friend” of Southern Charm Savannah, Kathryn thinks he will bring a lot to the cast, and also be one of the break-out stars.

“And then there is Nelson,” says Kathryn. “Nelson is so funny, and talks really fast. I am so glad that I got a chance to meet them before the show airs, and hope to make another trip down to Savannah soon.”

And Kathryn Dennis might be right about Nelson, because according to the Bravo blog’s first glance video of Southern Charm Savannah, Nelson is back in Savannah looking to redeem himself after some wild behavior up in Washington, D.C. (rumor has it that he was caught impersonating a Savannah politician, and filed a false police report, and that’s just for starters).

And Kathryn Dennis says that even though other Southern Charm cast members have called Savannah the “ugly stepchild of Charleston,” she thinks it will draw fans in quickly.

“The dynamic is different, because the main cast is all about the same age, and they don’t just know each other, but they know each other’s families,” says Kathryn. “Fans of our series might originally check in because they are curious, but I think they’ll stick around because the Savannah cast has something unique to offer.”

Exclusive Interview With The Survivor: Game Changers Contestant Voted Out Of Episode 5 – Spoilers!

What a difference a day makes. One minute you are on top of the world and running the show, the next you find yourself fighting for dear life. Another unpredictable Tribal Council led to the latest exit on Survivor, and it left Jeff Probst with a huge grin on his face…always a good sign the show’s going well.

She is a Survivor Legend, a first-ballot Survivor Hall of Famer, and the only person to have ever won Survivor twice. Yet this season, Sandra Diaz-Twine will just be known as the sixth person voted out of the game. She came in guns a-blazin’ this season and ready to kick some ass, and her strategy of playing a “louder” game than her two previous seasons elevated her from villain to super villain in a flash.

Clearly the biggest target in the game, she began this season going toe-to-toe with fellow Survivor Winner Tony Vlachos – known as one of the best recent winners – and she came out on top. She was calling the shots at her tribe no matter how it got shifted or shaken-up, and when she wanted someone to go home, they went home. Another previous winner, JT Thomas, also got in her way, and guess what he ended up holding? You guessed it, an unlit torch.

Yes the self-proclaimed “Queen” of the game knew she was going to be a huge target this season, so her plan was to be a bit more abrasive than in the past. Maybe someone would want to take her along, use her as a shield and whatnot. Surely nobody would let Sandra win this game a third time, right?

It seemed improbable that she could win again – impossible – until we actually saw her play this season and were reminded that her previous wins were no flukes. Aubry called her “the best player here…I need to learn a few things or two from her.” Many regarded her as larger-than-life in the game. Even with the odds stacked against her tonight and with a tribe aligning to get rid of her, she nearly was able to convince Ozzy and Sarah of her perspective. But in a season of game-changers, Sandra would not go unnoticed for too long. Her powers of persuasion were not enough to keep her alive in the game, despite sitting through another chaotic Tribal Council where it looked like – for a brief minute – Sandra may have worked her magic yet again.

But it was not to be this time around. Sandra was finally sent home when Ozzy, Andrea, Zeke, Sarah, and Tai were able to stick to their original plan. Still, Sandra lasted a record 94 straight days in the game of Survivor without having her torch snuffed. As her torch was snuffed for the very first time, her tribe gave her a round of applause. Now tell me, who gets a round of applause after getting voted out of Survivor? Sandra does, that’s who.

I had the chance to speak with Sandra earlier today, the day after her final episode aired. You can listen to the full audio of the interview and podcast below, but here were some highlights from the interview (as a bonus, be sure to listen to an Archived Podcast interview that I had with Sandra from a few years back, which you can find below).

SANDRA INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS:

On last night’s Tribal Council:

Sandra Diaz-Twine: I had a conversation with Ozzy way before we got out there, and I was like Ozzy, I want to work with you, but you have to protect me first, because it will pay dividends for you once the merge comes. I’ll do whatever you say, you just say the world and it’s a done deal. So he agreed to it and I thought that me and Ozzy would work together moving forward. So I thought I was with him, they told me it was Tai and not to worry…once we got out there, Tai was constantly grabbing at his pocket at what looked like a rock, a shell, or an Immunity Idol, which we now know that Tai had two of them. When I did my interview right after I got voted out, I said that I didn’t know what happened, I thought I was with Ozzy, I thought Tai was going home, I think Ozzy got scared, and I think what happened was, Tai kept grabbing his pocket. But until I saw it on TV, I didn’t even know that these people were coming after me the way that they were, like from minute one of when I landed on that tribe.

On if she thought she was over-confident or cocky at all this season:

Not one bit. The only reason I’m voted off now and I’m doing these interviews is that I grabbed the wrong buff. Had I gone to Exile or had I gone to Mana, you wouldn’t be talking to me right now. So it’s not about being cocky, I’m one of those people. Like, I’m the nicest person you’ll ever meet, but if you screw me, now you’re going to get the other Sandra. I’m not a mean-spirited person 24/7, I have a heart, I talk to everyone on a personal level, I try to get to know these people… sometimes I get frustrated and I speak my mind, and that’s what you see on TV…but that’s not the every day Sandra.

On her Survivor Legacy:

Everybody keeps on asking me if I tarnished my legacy and I don’t think I did. At the end of the day, there is still not another two-time winner out there, and that’s never going to change. I could play 20 times and lose 20 more times and it’s never going to change that I’m the Queen of Survivor. Point blank.

Terra Jole Talks Tension With Elena Gant, Her Husband’s Penis, & Her Book

I thought Terra Jole and Elena Gant formed a solid friendship on Little Women: LA, so I was surprised to see that their bond faltered thanks to Terra’s stint on Dancing With the Stars. Terra discussed the tension with Elena in an interview with Brandi Glanville.

Aside from dishing on the drama with Elena, Terra took her usual jabs at Christy McGinity Gibel and shared some super personal information about her husband Joe Gnoffo’s penis.

Terra stopped by the Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast and Brandi wasted no time stirring shit up. She said, “So I know the pretty Russian one,” and Terra interjected, “Yes, Elena.” Brandi declared,”She seems like she’s very jealous of you.”

Brandi asserted, “I don’t know because I don’t watch it all the time, but I will tell you she was real jealous that you were on Dancing With the Stars.” Terra confirmed, “I think that there’s a lot of animosity there. I don’t know if it’s jealousy, I’m still trying to figure that out, but you’ll see it this season.”

Brandi continued, “I think she might be an asshole.” Terra affirmed, “I think she might be an asshole,” but then she backtracked, “I love Elena and sometimes we fight. I think that’s what real friends do sometimes. It’s also weird because you’re trying to succeed in your own career and yet you’re also trying to be supported by these people that you think love you.”

Terra also revealed, “Right now I’m in the midst of writing my own book. It’s going to be released this summer. It’s a memoir and I am nervous because I have not shared everything about my life and I’m not necessarily sharing everything about my life in this book, but I’m sharing a big chunk that hasn’t been seen.”

I always wonder about reality star books. Terra is very open on her show, so I can’t imagine what else she has left to share.

In regard to this season, Terra shared, “As you’ve seen so far, Elena and I are in it and we got through a lot of headache in and out. We bring in new personalities – British personalities.” She also commented, “This season really shows how our lives are now as moms and what that means. Some people are talking divorce and others are totally happily married.” Which I have to assume that comment was directed as Briana Renee.

Brandi asked if the cast drinks and Terra said, “Christy is sober,” with some clearly intended shade.

Terra jumped back to talking about Elena after she opened up about her role as a producer on the show and how she was instrumental in picking the cast members. Terra confessed, “Honestly when speaking with Elena, I didn’t know jack about her. I just knew she was gorgeous and I knew people liked to watch pretty people.” What a glowing review.

Terra also said, “She actually is very intelligent and she’s well-spoken in comparison to some of the other women.” She emphasized the word “actually,” which I couldn’t tell if that was shady… based on the previous comments, I have to assume she was.

At some point Brandi asked, “Is Joe well hung?” Not only did Terra answer the question, she also revealed, “He has a really nice package. He actually ripped me the first time we were together which was kind of exciting.” Okay, then.
