Dorinda Medley Says It’s “Tough” To Watch Herself On Real Housewives Of New York This Season

The Real Housewives of New York has hit the ground drunk and stumbling this season. To be fair, the women of New York have always been intoxicated messes. Losing teeth in clubs, turtle time, falling into bushes, and making out naked in pools. No shade. It’s all incredible! That said, arguably one of the messiest of the group is none other than Dorinda Medley. What little I can understand of what Dorinda says drunk is enough to take the cake with this crew. And that’s saying a lot.

This season we have watched Dorinda struggle with her break from “boyfriend”, John Mahdessian while continuing to mourn her late husband, Richard. In last week’s episode these feelings all bubbled to the surface when we watched Dorinda lash out at Tinsley Mortimer. I’m still not sure what Tinsley ever did to Dorinda, other than be born into wealth. Dorinda is still a dog with a bone continuing to bash Tinsley recently for “never owning anything“. Like, what? Dorinda at least half of your storylines are based on your late husband’s house that you let Carole Radziwill name your first season. Relax. Even though in this week’s episode Dorinda switched the focus of her anger to Ramona Singer, she is still talking about watching herself scream at Tinsley last week.

Dorinda told Us Weekly about the May 14th episode “Yes. Absolutely it was a tough episode to watch…But I think the thing is — that there’s a lot of things going on and obviously we can’t break the fourth wall.” Dorinda continued to blame her circumstances rather than her drinking saying “There’s a lot of things coming up and a lot of things, like, that I am going through myself that are making me definitely on edge and uptight.”

Again, trying to defend her actions Dorinda explained “I think I say it at the winery — I just feel vulnerable and scared and overwhelmed.” Scared and overwhelmed by what? Drinking wine by someone who rightfully pointed out you’re a hypocrite? I think you mean you felt intoxicated and annoyed. When’s the last time you saw someone scream about wanting curly hair when they were scared? Me either.

Apparently, Dorinda is having a hard time behind the scenes. She was even considering not returning to this season, saying,  “[I] thought, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t take another thing.’” In the end, Dorinda said she “…decided to be a housewife, and you have to be a housewife [in] good times [and] bad times, that’s part of the process. That’s the journey that you need to take the viewer on, and then they can take and do what they want with it.”

I honestly don’t know what to think about Dorinda considering not returning. I have always loved watching her pal around with all the other New York ladies. She’s a mess but usua,lly it’s pretty fun to watch. If you’re like me, you may be encouraged to hear that Dorinda also joked, “My tagline should have been, ‘I’m not only reconstructing my house, I’m reconstructing myself.’”

Yvonna Momplaisir Reportedly An Official Cast Member On Real Housewives Of Atlanta Next Season

Yvonna Momplaisir might be a mere “friend of” on Real Housewives of Atlanta. But for being a friend of, she is bringing plenty to the table. She might be summed up as a one-time NeNe Leakes friend and accomplice in Snake Gate. Either way, Yovanna proved she’s not taking the fall for anyone. On part three of the reunion, Yovanna sat down to tell them her side of the Snake Gate drama. According to Yovanna, NeNe set the whole thing up and she was just trying to help a friend out. We’ve heard that one before, right?

NeNe now infamously stormed off and didn’t bother to defend herself. But if NeNe was going to start the drama, Yovanna was going to finish it. Was this all a ploy for Yovanna to get herself a peach?

Now TMZ is reporting that it’s all paid off for Yovanna. According to sources, she’s the latest addition to the cast of  RHOA season 13. While it’s not officially confirmed, sources say that the drama behind Snake Gate will be a central storyline next season.

To get down to the nitty-gritty of Snake Gate, let’s do a quick recap. Kandi Burruss heard that fellow cast member Cynthia Bailey had been recorded by someone talking about NeNe. NeNe claims to have held receipts but refused to name whoever had given her said recording. On a trip to Canada, organized by Tanya Sam, the ladies quickly went in on Yovanna. At the time, they claimed she was the “snitch”. Yovanna flat out denied it, but the ladies weren’t buying it.

So Yovanna was set to take fall but little did NeNe know that Yovanna didn’t feel like being played. Yovanna then decided to defend herself by showing up to the reunion with her own version of events. As Yovanna tells it, NeNe asked her to record all the ladies talking smack about her. Yovanna then claimed that she never actually betrayed the woman. Why you may ask? Yovanna says it was because she was building genuine relationships.

Naturally, some of the cast took issue with this statement. Kandi said it made it worse that Yovanna was creating connections only to tell NeNe she would do her bidding. The rest of the cast agreed. When Yovanna’s segment was over, the cast was divided on whether or not Yovanna was telling the truth. With NeNe absent, it’s hard to get a real sense of the truth.

Regardless of whether or not Yovanna ends up being a cast member next year, I for one am always going to remember Yovanna as the central player in it all.

Nene Leakes Reportedly Has A Secret Boyfriend

NeNe Leakes is having quite the season on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Despite bringing little to that table (in my humble opinion), she stays in the news. And maybe that’s her end game. Doing the bare minimum on the show and then staying in the lime light on her own terms.

So far this season, we haven’t seen much of her. But we’ve seen her all over her Instagram and YouTube channel, ripping her cast mates to shreds. NeNe has accused Kandi Burruss of never being number one at anything in her life. She’s called Eva Marcille boring. She even reignited an old beef with Sheree Whitfield. NeNe couldn’t even finish filming the reunion when ex-accomplice Yovanna Momplaisir showed up to tell her side of the Snake Gate story. And let’s face it, storming off made NeNe look guilty as hell for starting the whole thing, just like Yovanna was saying.

Now NeNe is finding herself in another unflattering light. Page Six is reporting that NeNe allegedly got caught up in an affair. While it’s just a rumor and remains unconfirmed, this is not a good look. So what’s the tea?

Sources say that NeNe has been involved in an inappropriate relationship with “family friend” Rodney White. According to the source, NeNe has been spending time with Rodney as long ago as 2017. Even more shocking is the allegation that NeNe was busy having dinner with Rodney in Miami back in 2019 when husband Gregg Leakes was fighting colon cancer.

The source elaborated about the Miami sighting, saying,“They were all over each other. They were touching each other, laughing, giggling, kissing, but it wasn’t like they were full-blown slobbering down. I don’t think she was trying to hide it.” Well, at least they weren’t slobbering? Another witness claiming to see them said, “She was all over this guy. Kissing, cuddling, holding, sitting on his lap.”

A little more about Rodney. He’s from Maryland and is a high level employee at the United States Department of Agriculture. Although he sounds pretty low profile, sources say Rodney might have an ulterior motive in dating NeNe. “He loves the limelight,” the source claims. “He loves to have the red carpet rolled out. He feels like he’s a celebrity. He’s that type of person.”

“People close to him have said that it’s all about the lifestyle,” the source continues. “If it wasn’t for that, he wouldn’t give her the time of day … because he didn’t before when she was a nobody. He knew her before she became the NeNe Leakes that she is today and before the multiple surgeries to change her looks.”

NeNe hasn’t addressed this yet but wondering if it’s only a matter of time before she takes to social media with her thoughts.

Dorinda Medley Feels Ramona Singer Has Been “Insensitive” To Her Feelings

Well, Season 12 of Real Housewives of New York might have lost Bethenny Frankel, but anything alcoholic is now officially part of the cast. At the conclusion of these episodes, I always feel a slight desire to consult Betty Ford and begin a green juice cleanse. On the bright side, Leah McSweeney has filled any remaining gaps in Bethenny’s legacy, though viewers probably miss the repetitive product placement they were subjected to for years, #skinnygirlbybravo.

While the ladies navigate brief periods of being sober, some have experienced life changes. Dorinda Medley has been struggling under the pressure of ending her relationship with longtime boyfriend, John Mahdessian. What’s more, she has found herself triggered by memories of late husband, Richard. One would think Dorinda’s tribe of girlfriends would lend support during her time of need, but according to Dorinda, that has not been the case. In fact, Dorinda feels one friend in particular has been especially insensitive. Gosh, I wonder who it could be?

Listen, RHONY needs to come with a warning label. Livers across America shriek and hide when the opening credits come on. Luann de Lesseps’ battle with the bushes has evolved into Leah’s tango with tiki torches. But it’s all good, clean fun, until it isn’t. When the spirits aren’t flowing, the ladies have to contend with real issues. Unfortunately real issues and alcohol don’t mix well, which is exactly the plan.

In between coming for Tinsdale Tinsley Mortimer whenever the opportunity presents itself, Dorinda has been battling depressive episodes. Making attempts to reconcile her husband’s death and dealing with the aftermath of a break-up has left Dorinda in a vulnerable position. Grief and martinis don’t usually mix well, but grief, martinis, and Ramona Singer might be worse. Dorinda explains on Us Weekly’s Getting Real With the Housewives podcast.

Last week’s episode found Dorinda and Ramona squabbling, but Dorinda’s raw nerves are no match for Ramona’s words. In fact, Ramona feels Dorinda might be the one with the problem. Tinsdale would probably agree.

Ramona also said Dorinda, “takes people down all the time”. Facts are gonna fact. Despite the obvious, Dorinda thinks Ramona should have been more sensitive to her plight. Dorinda has met Ramona, right?

“I felt like Ramona was a little insensitive to me for what I was going through this year,” Dorinda admitted. “I needed a soft place to land, and I needed her to be more of a soft place to land than I felt like she was being.” With all due respect, any sympathy for Dorinda might have hitched a ride on a flying pig after her unwarranted attacks on Tinsley.

According to Dorinda, Mona wasn’t too keen on constantly hearing about Richard. “Ramona was very critical of me bringing up Richard. Critical of me going through what I’m going through, critical of whatever,” Dorinda explained. “And you know, Ramona and I have been in each other’s lives a long time and gone through a lot of things. I thought she would be more empathetic than she was.” Again, has she met Ramona? But still, it’s not like Dorinda has been the epitome of grace and understanding in the past.

While Dorinda and Ramona have appeared to patch things up, Dorinda’s attempts to come to terms with her reality are still front and center. Perhaps her abrasive attitude this season is the result of displaced mourning for a loved one. Maybe Dorinda’s unsolicited attacks on others are a product of a longterm relationship ending. One thing is for sure, Ramona might not have been front and center for Dorinda, but the rosé never leaves her hanging.

Ramona Singer Says Elyse Slaine Brings Nothing To Real Housewives Of New York & She Doesn’t Fit In

Every time Elyse Slaine pops up on Real Housewives of New York, my mind immediately shifts to the scene in Mean Girls when Damian yells “she doesn’t even go here!” at the all-girls assembly. We never got any introduction to Elyse. We have no idea who she even is. She’s just popping up at every group event with the label “Ramona’s friend” under her name.

However, Ramona Singer is publicly disassociating with her friend. Or at least that is how it came across in a recent interview when she was asked about Elyse. Nevertheless, Ramona’s open actually does seem to line up with what a lot of fans are thinking. Just like many of us, Ramona does not seem to get why Elyse is even filming.

During an interview with People Now, Ramona was asked to share what she thinks Elyse brings to the mix. Since Elyse is labeled as Ramona’s friend, I expected Ramona to say some nice things about her. However, that is not what happened.

Instead, Ramona said, “I don’t think she really brings anything with the mix. I think you can see she doesn’t really fit in.” I mean, she’s not wrong.

Ramona continued, “I didn’t know really what to think. I just thought ‘OK, we always love to add new people as a possible friend.’ She didn’t even make it as a friend. Bravo doesn’t even call her a friend. ” Damn, that’s cold. But, again, Ramona is not wrong. Elyse’s presence just seems so random an unofficial.

Ramona concluded, “She was just.. Missy Poole had more personality than Elyse. In case you forgot, Missy Poole is Tom D’Agostino’s ex that Ramona loves to bring around in an effort to get a rise of Luann de Lesseps. She has never had an official role on the show, despite Ramona’s many attempts to cast her.

Kara Keough Gets Tattoo In Honor Of Her Late Son With His Ashes In The Ink

Real Housewives of Orange County fans have kept Kara Keough and the rest of her family in their thoughts recently. Jeana Keough’s daughter suffered an absolutely tragic loss when her son McCoy Bosworth died following a complication in childbirth last month. Following his passing, Kara has been very open about what she’s been going through, which is something that many families can relate to, sadly enough.

In the midst of grieving her newborn son McCoy, Kara broke the news that her father Matt Keough died suddenly. RHOC viewers recall that Matt and Jeana were separated for decades, only to officially divorce in 2019. Jeana revealed that Matt passed away from a pulmonary embolism. Both Kara and Jeana have made themselves very vulnerable to the public as they navigate this difficult time in their lives.

Kara recently revealed that she got a letter “M” tattoo in honor of her late son via Instagram post. She shared a photo of herself cuddling a bear stuffed animal, with her new wrist tattoo on display. Kara wrote, “This bear weighs exactly 11 pounds and 4 ounces. Exactly the size of the hole in my heart. But thanks to this thoughtful gift, my arms don’t feel so painfully empty. I can’t quite articulate how much carrying the exact weight of McCoy against my body grounds me. I think my physical need for him will be there forever, the heaviness of his absence always present. But this sure helps.”

Kara shared, “Also feeling thankful for my new (first) tattoo, with my son’s ashes in the ink… so that my baby can be with me always. He can stay forever in my arms this way, in the place he last rested.”

The RHOC alum admitted, “I know I’m privileged in my grief, to have the support of so many. It’s very hard to feel lucky right now, and yet, somehow, I know I am. That being said, I’m very much ready for the dick kicks to stop. To the poor Shipt shopper who remarked ‘the baby should have been born by now, right?’ and the shocked insurance agent, and the others who didn’t mean to throw the grenades they did… when I say ‘It’s okay,’ I don’t mean ‘I’m okay,’ I’m saying I know you didn’t know. But I promise, you’re not upsetting me by ‘reminding’ me, I’ll never need a reminder.”

She continued, “I’m just sad that the answer to your question isn’t what I hoped it would be. It should be a joyful Q&A, not a landmine. It should be different. Instead, here I am, clutching a stuffed toy wishing it was a real boy.”

We applaud Kara for being so open and honest. There are, unfortunately, a lot of other “Instead Mamas” who feel connected to Kara and possibly comforted to see that someone else has similar emotions right now. We are sending positive thoughts to Kara and the rest of her family.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Reunion Part 3 Recap: Yo’Vanna Talk About It?!

Oh man, Real Housewives Of Atlanta season 12 has officially ended, and with it so many things we hold to be near and dear – like NeNe Leakes‘ dignity. Haaaa… just kidding. That got ripped off with a wig about 5 seasons ago!

NeNe never managed to return for the remainder of the reunion. Close your legs to married men; close your laptop to scary women! Eva Marcille predicts that NeNe was running scared after she learned her now-former friend Yovanna Momplaisir was secretly invited to the reunion and was coming with the good dirt. Yovanna accidentally spilled the tea by posting about it on Instagram. Not that NeNe wouldn’t have just ‘walked out‘ the second Yovanna appeared on the screen.

See, no good deed goes unpunished. NeNe was trying to promote her thirsty friend, Yovanna. However, these jump-offs always turn on their springboard. And the higher the heels the farther the fall!

Andy Cohen was just about to break down Cynthia Bailey‘s dysfunctional friendships with NeNe and Kenya Moore when NeNe bailed, so he winds up showing the clip package to NeNe’s empty screen. So Cynthia ends up just making one excuse after another for Kenya’s bullshit with no one to interrupt with a scathing diatribe about how Kenya is a busted egg salad sandwich on day-old pumpernickel bread with a no real marriage insight and this why she has the heart of a sea lion and deserves to have someone spit on her. Or some stank NeNe logic that is just preposterous.

Seriously, though, Cynthia is pathetic when it comes to Kenya. I know this is old news – older than Kenya’s biological clock according to NeNe’s calendar – but it really is sad to just watch her make justification after justification, and claim she forgives Kenya because she is always sincere in her apologies. Lady, you are too damn Fifty-Three Cyn to be actually believing this shit and I cannot believe that Porsha Williams was the only person calling Kenya out!

Cynthia is also full of crap regarding her involvement with the Cookie Lady. LORD, talk about stale! Can we stop trying to make Crumbles, the generic chocolate chip, happen? Cynthia claims she was trying to do Tanya Sam a solid by inviting Cookie Lady to tell her tale at Brooklyn’s party, therefore it wasn’t an ambush like what Kenya did at the brunch. Um, did Cynthia WARN Tanya that cookie lady may appear? I think not! Kandi Burruss is not here for this and sees exactly what Cynthia is doing – trying to sweep her mess under the train of her ball gown.

I actually really like Cynthia. I don’t find her to be boring, but I do find her Little Miss Innocent act insincere and silly. Why can’t she admit she was being shady towards Tanya in order to create drama on Real Housewives Of Atlanta?Why can’t Cynthia acknowledge that Kenya was jealous of her friendship with Eva and is trying to punish her?

At least Cynthia told Kenya she went too far with hinting that Mike Hill was planning to propose the night of the surprise proposal party! Kenya, sat there with her fake ‘who me?’ face, and kept insisting she was just excited for her friend. Bullllshit. Kenya always treats Cynthia like collateral damage, aka someone disposable. When Kenya is angry about her own situations or feels that Cynthia isn’t staying in line, she lashes out. Porsha and Tanya are the only ones pointing this out, although Porsha just starts yelling, and sometimes her points get lost in her self-inflated drama. I do love Porsha though. She brings a lightness to this show that is desperately needed!

Porsha’s issue with Kenya is that she just won’t admit that she’s calculating and scheming, but instead tries to play victim when anyone lashes back. Kenya insists that everything she does is in retaliation and that she doesn’t provoke people. Expect what did Cynthia ever do to her? Other than try to rekindle her friendship with NeNe…

Kenya is questioned about refusing to accept the olive branches NeNe extended both before filming and once news of “Ken’s” divorce broke. See, I actually agree with Kenya’s decision here. She knew NeNe was being insincere, and only wanted to fake-make amends to save face and give herself some insurance and relevance on RHOA. Especially after the divorce I feel Kenya was wise to steer clear. I do think Kenya could have rejected NeNe with a little more class. Instead of going Krayonce, she could’ve gone Mrs. Ken Daly.

Porsha’s other issue is that Kenya repeatedly used Shamea Morton this season. First at Porsha’s Rainbow charity lunch. Then at Kandi’s baby shower when Kenya claimed she just wanted to talk to Shamea, just when she happened to be sitting next to NeNe, whom Kenya was currently – like at that very moment – having an argument with! Porsha calls that out for exactly what it was. Kenya tried provoke NeNe by getting in her proximity, thus trying to instigate her going too far.

Not only is this completely transparent (and ‘So Kenya‘), but it’s also genuinely thoughtless towards her friend, Kandi, who was trying to thank her surrogate and got interrupted by NeNe and Kenya’s screeching in the audience. When you have to call security on your friends during your baby shower, it might be time to get some new friends. Or in Kandi’s situation when you have to call security on your Made-For-TV Friends during your baby shower, it might be time to get a new TV show. Preferably one all about you!

The way NeNe treated Kenya, particularly in Greece, was beyond the pale and completely reprehensible, but the way NeNe treats everyone is appalling. As we’ll soon see when Yovanna joins and finally exposes fake-snake-gate.

According to Yovanna, who is wearing what looks like a slutty graduation gown, NeNe solicited her to come on this show and associate with these women purely to gather dirt for her. NeNe asked Yovanna to record the women secretly, and then let her listen to the recordings.

Yovanna pretended to comply, but insists she never actually recorded Cynthia. Instead she suddenly developed a conscience that getting on TV wasn’t worth breaking the law and violating people’s trust. Or did Yovanna suddenly realize that NeNe was a non-factor on Real Housewives Of Atlanta and she’d have better luck getting cast if she formed friendships with the other ladies, except she was still beholden to NeNe and also afraid of her so she tried to play both sides of the fence until her luck ran out? After all, nobody likes a snitch!

Well, Yovanna chose well in refusing to comply with NeNe’s nonsense. However when she finally informed NeNe that she was done informing for her, NeNe canceled their friendship, then sent Yovanna a cease & desist letter barring her from revealing any recorded audio or information she may have. Instead Yovanna went ahead and ‘hired’ Michael Sterling, as in Eva’s husband who is now in private practice so they can up their lifestyle in the hopes of being fabulous enough to stay on this show.

It kills two birds with one stone in giving both Yovanna and Eva some relevance and leverage as far as returning next season, and it does look like they’ll be at least two vacancies: NeNe and Cynthia, and possibly 3 if Kandi decides to only focus on her solo show. Although I can’t imagine Kandi giving up paychecks of any kind!

Anyway, Yoanna’s attorney said she didn’t do anything wrong. She is free to come on the RHOA reunion to talk shit about NeNe to defend herself. I am so confused. I thought Yovanna and NeNe were genuine friends for decades. But, now Real Housewives of Atlanta has suddenly come between them? I guess Yovanna didn’t like being used. I understand, but I’m super disappointed in NeNe for destroying a friendship this way. Anything to protect her voracious ego!

So in the end Snake-Gate was never a thing. It, like so many other situations, was a fabrication in NeNe’s mind. But, it worked as far as getting her back in the game and into the mix with the rest of the women. Cynthia is shocked and disappointed to learn that NeNe was behind all of this. NeNe tried to coerce Yovanna into using her budding friendships with the women to obtain information to use against them.

Yovanna isn’t the bone carrier, she’s the faux python skin carrier. Or rather she is picking up the skin snakes shed and bringing it to a wannabe Christian Louboutin asking him to make shoes. She should step off instead.

Rumor has it Yovanna will be back next season, but can anyone really trust her now? Also does she really have a storyline if NeNe doesn’t return? Clearly Yovanna only matters if she’s planning to come up against RHOA’s self-described queen.
