Shahs Of Sunset Recap: Malibu Makeups

shahs-of-sunset1

shahs-of-sunset1

We are only on episode two of the new season of Shahs of Sunset and I’m already tired of hearing the Persian Priestess turned Diamond Water Maker turned Kaftan Peddler Asa Soltan Rahmati go on and on about her unborn vegan baby. I wish someone could give me an epidural for the rest of the season to take the pain away.

Speaking of things we have to endure, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi is back in full effect this episode and she is ready to make amends all over the place. I don’t even know if she understands what she is apologizing for but she plans on throwing those apologies out faster than she can go from belligerent drunk to blackout drunk. GG arrives at Asa’s house to eat some hummus and drink the weird watermelon juice Asa has set out. Note: not diamond water. But Asa is true to her new craft, the overpriced kaftans she wears nonstop, and today is no exception. GG shovels zucchini into her mouth with her talons and tells Asa how skinny she looks, despite Asa’s constant attempts to get GG to notice her baby bump.

When GG pushes Asa off her golden swan floaty and Asa emerges from the pool, soaking wet and kaftan clinging to her five month pregnant stomach, GG finally gets it with a resounding, “b*tch, you pregnant!?” Asa is happy to confirm the news that we can no longer escape two seconds of any time she is being filmed. WE GET IT – you’re pregnant! GG wants to know a few things: has Asa been constipated and is Mercedes “MJ” Javid jealous. Asa can’t answer either question because pregnancy has put her in such an “amazing space.” I would love to be in a space so amazing that I don’t even know what bowel movements are happening or not happening.

Since Reza Farahan and Adam Neely’s one year wedding anniversary party is coming up and GG isn’t invited, Asa explains how this would be the perfect time to apologize to Reza for all those sex tape lies. GG is still stuck on who did what and Asa urges her to just accept her own responsibility for what happened and say she’s sorry already.

MJ and her overexposed boobs head over to Mike Shouhed’s porno set that he likes to call a house. I am cringing so hard at the décor it’s hard to concentrate. Also, is it just me or has Mike started wearing eyeliner this season? His talking head and a few of his appearances look strangely lined around the eyes and contoured in the cheek area, while we’re at it. Anyway, Mike is checking in with MJ about her crying episode at his party and to be clear – it wasn’t the women with lamps on their heads dancing around that brought her to tears and it also wasn’t Asa’s pregnancy announcement. MJ was upset about her dad being sick and it got the best of her when Asa asked her about it.

Mike abruptly changes the conversation to why Asa is having a child out of wedlock and truly thinks that Asa owes them an explanation as to why. MJ is thrilled to jump on this train, asserting that a child should be brought into a household with both mother and father, because that worked out so well for her, right? MJ grumbles about what Asa must be hiding about her relationship since she’s been with Jermaine for almost seven years and they are now just deciding to have a baby.

shahs-of-sunset5

In case you hadn’t heard, Reza’s family has a “hoe legacy” that Reza has managed to break by getting married and (wow!) staying married for one whole year! Reza thinks this is cause for celebrating and I guess in his world, managing to stay married for a year is. He even rents a party bus, stocked with leopard print paper top hats because nothing says marital harmony like a tacky party bus with your friends. But it’s not just an evening out on a party bus, oh no, it’s so much more than that – Reza has arranged to take them all to a wild animal sanctuary.

As Mike points out, the choice of venue for this celebration is oddly sadistic considering Adam missed out on the last trip to an animal sanctuary in Thailand. Because Reza jilted him at the altar. And then Reza took all of his friends to Thailand. On the trip that was supposed to be their wedding anyway. While Adam stayed home. Can we just let all of that sink in for a minute? No time really, because Asa is already busy telling everyone she can’t touch the animals because she is pregnant, turtles are busy humping and Mike and friends are getting sprayed with water by a rowdy group of chimps, who must watch the show to give that kind of welcome.

The dinner set up is like an outdoor safari and Asa immediately questions the cleanliness of the food because, you guys, she is PREGNANT. In case anyone didn’t get that memo, she announces loudly that she can’t have Caesar salad because of the dressing. Mike does what any normal person would do and requests different dressing for her so she can STFU already. But she just can’t help herself and directs the attention away from everyone questioning Shervin Roohparvar’s fidelity to girlfriend Annalise (who is sitting right there while they question him) back to PREGNANCY. We must discuss all things baby from this point forward. Asa wants to know who the next person to have a baby will be (ummm, you since you’re five months pregnant, dummy) and Reza is happy to use his one year anniversary party to throw his husband under the bus for being too pushy about kids.

shahs-of-sunset2

Since Asa opened the door on this whole conversation about babies, MJ decides it’s the perfect time to kick it wide open and grill Asa about the state of her relationship. MJ questions if Jermaine proposed (no), if Asa wants to be married (yes, one day), why aren’t they living together (they practically are), if Asa’s parents will move in with her when the baby is born (no, they have their own house), and finally, why is Asa not married to Jermaine when they have been together for so long and are now having a baby together (why the eff do you care?). Did I miss anything? Oh, will Asa eat her placenta (yes) and will she serve her umbilical cord for Thanksgiving dinner (no).

In case that wasn’t enough, Mike decides to mention that Jermaine is black, and not Persian, because this is a “big deal” within their culture. But Mike wants you to know he’s cool with it, because he married a white girl (eyerolling so hard right now). As much as Asa’s supposed “wall” can be irksome, in situations like this, it’s entirely understandable. Even though Asa doesn’t owe it to them, she did answer their questions, just not to Mike and MJ’s liking. And who would want to field judgmental questions about your relationship and life decisions from possibly the two biggest eff ups in the group: a guy who couldn’t even keep his dool in his pants to stay married for more than half a year and a grown woman who is living in squalor and ill-fitting jumpsuits well into her forties.

Adam meets with GG, despite Reza not being happy about it because she misses him and no longer wants to claw his face off anymore. GG maintains that she apologized but Adam doesn’t recall, mainly because her next day apology text was already blocked by him. She’s doing her best to apologize again but Adam catches on quickly to the language she’s using like, “I’m sorry about what happened TO you” as if she didn’t actually take her ratchet coffin shaped nails and rake them across his neck. He wants a real apology, especially because he had to go around telling people he got mauled by a dog in the aftermath of being mauled by a Golnesa. She finally gives a real, heartfelt apology, admitting she lied about Reza’s sex tape and she has grown and changed.

Adam accepts GG‘s apology but let’s her know that for now, their relationship won’t really go beyond the lunch table they are sitting at. He leaves so GG can eat her quinoa salad alone and goes home to tell Reza what happened. Reza isn’t really ready to forgive, but glad that Adam got his apology.

Shervin is having a beach party in Malibu and Reza heads over to MJ’s to get ready and go together. It’s in this scene that we are seeing just how downward MJ is spiraling at this point in her life. She is clad in a dirty nude tube top, ratty hair piled on top of her head, and what looks like a poor spray tan streaked all over her face and body. MJ prepares a crown and ginger for Reza and attempts to stir it with either a hair curler or a vibrator, one can’t tell.

shahs-of-sunset7

While MJ takes a call from the nursing home her dad is staying in and tries to get ready, Reza looks around in disbelief and offers to clean up for her. He’s right to be appalled that she is living in a small, raggedy apartment that has no running water. I’m actually kind of shocked MJ is letting cameras into her place but she doesn’t seem to care one way or another since she is so emotionally wrapped up in taking care of her ailing father right now.

On their way to the party, they stop to visit her dad, who has recently been moved to a nursing home and still looks to be very fragile. So much so that Reza is overwhelmed with emotion and leaves the room crying. MJ is a doting daughter, talking gently to her dad and affectionately holding his hand.

Back in the car, Reza holds back tears as MJ stays positive enough to say she’s going to get her dad strong enough to go to Vegas and play some slots. Reza realizes that MJ might be in denial about the state of her father’s health and isn’t connecting to the reality of how serious the situation is.

When they arrive at the beach house, Reza immediately unloads on Mike and Asa about what happened and how it’s given him new perspective about what matters and what doesn’t and conveniently, his relationship with GG, because she just so happens to be at the party as well. This is all setting us up for their reunited friendship but that’s going to have to wait because there’s a party to get to first. Bottles are popping, Asa is placing hands on her stomach, and random belly dancers show up to entertain the crowd. Annalise marvels at “those things” the dancers are wearing, which turn out to be decorative wings, which Shervin is happy to explain to her. I knew she wasn’t playing with a full deck just for dating Shervin alone but I didn’t know there was literally no one at home in that pretty head of hers.

Shahs of Sunset recap

Just in case things were awkward with Reza, GG brought out new friend Tara from Newlyweds the First Year, who is probably the only person Bravo could enlist to put up with GG for the next few months. But Tara isn’t the only one who is about to tolerate GG for a few months because TA-DA, GG has revealed her new boyfriend, Shalom, a guy we all know is already her ex-husband. So I guess it’s a little hard to get excited about him with that fact in the back of my head.

Finally, Reza has had just enough alcohol to decide he needs to open his heart and bury his issues with GG. He sits down with the group and starts to tell GG about the hospital visit and what’s important and what’s not. Too bad he can’t even finish that little speech before GG is interrupting him with something unintelligible, then darts off to her room to fetch little dolls she got from Belize to hand out as a sign of peace. Everyone picks a doll and they both apologize to one another and then accept each other’s apologies.

GG is thrilled everyone is back to being best friends and they can all be happy again. Now the question is, for how long?

TELL US – ARE YOU TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT ASA’S PREGNANCY? IS MJ IN DENIAL ABOUT HER DAD? WILL GG AND REZA’S PEACE LAST?

90 Day Fiance Recap: Lost In Translation

90 Day Fiance Recap: Lost In Translation

Pedro-Eating-Chicken-Feet-90-Day-Fiance

On last night’s 90 Day Fiance, Chantel got to see where all of Pedro’s money is going when she and her family traveled down to the Dominican Republic for their second wedding. Chantel’s parents were also confronted by a plate of chicken feet, which went over about as well as…a plate of chicken feet. Paola continued to make Russ her indentured servant, Mohamed and Danielle continued to torture each other on social media, and Anfisa spontaneously lost 250 pounds when she kicked Jorge out of the apartment.

We begin in Ohio, where Danielle successfully orders a cup of coffee, then whines to her sister and brother in law, Paul, about how she still wants to be frieeeeeends with Mohamed. Paul is like: Wake up, woman! He knows Danielle would take Mohamed back in a heartbeat if he even answered one of her sad texts. Beth, who is also in attendance, nods in agreement. But Danielle swears this time it’s for real, ya’ll! She even wants her family to write affidavits in support of her fraud case. (Wait – Danielle actually learned the word affidavit? This is getting serious.)

Chantel and Pedro prepare for their trip, which includes packing up lots of gifts for Mama Fancy Blouse. Pedro’s mom, Lydia, who called Chantel and her family “stupid Americans” when she learned of their prenup intentions, eagerly awaits the loot coming her way while Chantel’s family looks forward to sneering at the local customs and cuisine. What could go wrong?

After Jorge and Anfisa met with Lourdes for dinner, Anfisa is upset – and this time, justifiably so. Lourdes basically called her a whore while Jorge sat there like an inert eggplant, offering no information about how much he’s lied to Anfisa from the very start. “I was blinded by love,” bemoans Jorge, who’s now living in some sort of roach motel down the street. As he stares at the ceiling in defeat, Anfisa wonders if her contract marriage is finally over. Hey – she already got her green card! Now she just has to set up those secret accounts, erase Jorge’s digital footprint, hot wire his car, and change the locks. Should be a cinch for this chick.

Out food shopping, Loren and Alexei’s mom, Natasha (Natalia), bond over chicken livers. Alexei wants his mom to move to the U.S., but Loren is feeling uncomfortable ever since she confessed the truth about Tourette’s being hereditary. Natasha doesn’t seem to be sweating it though. She’d rather focus on valuable marriage skills like cooking Alexei’s favorite meal than worry about their unborn children. Loren chokes down a gag later while the chicken livers fry, hoping that she can get out of cooking for good if Natasha moves here.

Chantel-Mom-Black-Tank-90-Day-Fiance

It’s the time of reckoning for Chantel and Pedro’s families! Chantel’s parents, who look like people who’ve just been ordered to forty years of hard labor rather than parents of the blushing bride, arrive in the DR ready to face their nemesis: Pedro’s mother. After Lydia and Pedro’s sister pick Chantel and her family up at the airport, they immediately ask, “Where’s the television!?” Chantel explains that they’ll FedEx it later, while her family stands by, shocked. They are then invited to a meal at Lydia’s house, where Chantel’s mom, Karen, plans to escape out a window.

Back in LA, Anfisa meets with her friend, Miranda, to discuss her dumpster fire of a marriage. She confesses that she kicked Jorge out because he didn’t stand up for her, and now she doesn’t know where they stand. Miranda thinks Jorge needs to become “more adult,” which is a nice way of saying he needs to stop lying like it’s his job, or accept that the wife he paid for is going to leave him soon. Miranda also thinks Anfisa can easily get another victim guy if Jorge doesn’t come correct. As inspiration for Anfisa’s tragic future in the art of finding pot-dealing deadbeats, Miranda showcases her recent lip injections. Anfisa says she’s also got an appointment to get a consultation on getting some American injectables of her own. The ones she got back in Russia are looking a little, um, road-worn.

In Florida, Loren drives Natasha to see an immigration lawyer who explains the process of moving to the U.S. – for her and eventually, for all of Alexei’s family. It comes down to this: Alexei needs to becomes a U.S. citizen first (which will take three years), then the process of bringing his parents over will only take a matter of months. Alexei’s brother, however, might not be able to come for sixteen years or so. Loren and Natasha are shocked by this news, hoping that he could at least come on a travel visa in the mean time. It’s a complicated situation that they didn’t expect to face.

Speaking of complicated, Mohamed pops up next to continue living the waking nightmare of his life. After meeting his new “friend” Diamond for lunch, she tells him that Danielle has now moved on to stalking HER. “My phone has been ringing nonstop,” complains Diamond, who also claims Danielle is writing her constantly with what I can only imagine are poorly-worded threats. She’s also taken to insulting Diamond’s looks on social media! Diamond’s like, Call off your internet troll!

Oh, random lady on my TLC channel, how little you know about our dear, dauntless Danielle! Mohamed has ZERO control over that woman’s internet trolling, nor does he have any way of protecting himself – let alone your selfie-taking a$$. And unless homeboy wants to wear a kevlar vest to the grocery store, he’s not even physically protected from the wrath of Danielle. Diana says she’s worried for him, but my guess is that she’s probably changing her number three seconds after Mohamed waves goodbye.

Chantel-Parents-Table-90-Day-Fiance

Down in the Dominican Republic, Chantel is blown away by the new, swanky 3-bedroom apartment Lydia is renting (with Pedro’s money). Chantel’s family side-eyes the apartment, not to mention the many gifts – including a laptop – that Pedro starts unpacking from his suitcase for his mom and sister. “At this point, I’ve seen enough,” thinks Karen, who now wants to leave. But there will be no leaving before chicken feet are consumed!

Chicken-Feet-90-Day-Fiance

Part of the local traditional cuisine, chicken feet and neck are considered good eats in Pedro’s family, but Karen equates them with something akin to poison – or voodoo – or payback for not shoving that flatscreen into her carry-on. In any case, she’s not eating them. And she flatly rejects the plate laid out before her as if it’s some kind of insult to her refined sensibilities. “I don’t trust these people,” she thinks, next confronting Lydia about calling them all “stupid Americans.”

Pedro translates to Lydia that “the food has disrespected her,” which weirdly puts the blame for everyone’s hideous manners on innocent chicken parts. Lydia is like, WTF? She served them food that’s considered normal and delicious, so what’s the issue here?

Pedro-Mom-Hat-Kitchen-90-Day-Fiance

Pedro translates what the real issue is, and it has nothing to do with chicken. Karen felt disrespected by Lydia’s comments, but Lydia (and Pedro’s sister) felt that Chantel’s family was treating him suspiciously with the prenup ordeal. Karen doesn’t seem to accept their side of the story, suddenly announcing that she’s leaving! Hmm. Maybe if Pedro translated and apology from Chantel to everyone for lying about her intentions to marry Pedro for THREE MONTHS, both families would understand who, exactly, created this suspicion? Poor Pedro. He’s doesn’t need to be worried about chicken necks; he needs to be worried about the chicken sh*t he’s married to.

After Chantel’s family leaves, Pedro’s sister summarizes that this argument has been a long time coming. And – OMG! – they don’t even eat the chicken feet/necks either. Lydia and her daughter just giggle, “We don’t eat that.” So, perhaps there was some nefarious plan to make Chantel’s family choke it down as payback for making Pedro sign a prenup? Oh, the shade. It is THICK in here! Maybe Karen wasn’t completely off base with her voodoo suspicions after all – because Pedro’s family is not playing. Especially now that their flat screen TV dreams have been dashed.

Almost forgotten this episode, Russ and Paola once again grace our screens to give us an update on their employment status. Spoiler Alert! It is still nonexistent. When Paola drags Russ along to visit her shady modeling agent (who looks horrified to see Russ), they’re fed more lies about the agent being busy, Paola’s photos not being up to par, needing more sexiness from Paola, Paola’s user account not being current, and…blah blah blah. If Paola does not understand that she’s being sold a bill of junk goods at this point, then she’s an idiot.

After finding out that she hasn’t even been placed in the agent’s system yet, Paola suspects foul play, but agrees to take new “sexy photos” with her “new sexy hair color.” Russ stupidly agrees to give this loser agent another chance too, mainly because his own job prospects are more bleak than his wife’s. It’s all just too idiotic and depressing for words.

In a slightly less depressing scene elsewhere, Loren, Alexei, and Natasha spend their final night together eating a lovely dinner out. Natasha and Loren are happy they’ve grown closer on this visit, but finally confess the troubling facts they heard from the immigration lawyer. Alexei is heartbroken to hear his brother wouldn’t be able to come to the U.S. for so long, knowing his parents would refuse to come without him.

Back in LA, the sad-sack music plays while Jorge drives to meet his sister, Lourdes, for lunch. He tells her that he and Anfisa are on a “break” and that Anfisa is mean to him. Lourdes seems to know that Anfisa hits him too, and she’s scared for him. “I don’t know why, I felt like I was afraid of her,” lamely admits Jorge, who’s tragically become used to Anfisa’s abuse. Although he’s contemplated sending Anfisa home, he doesn’t want to “be the bad guy.” Lourdes thinks he’s basically been blinded by sex, not love, but Jorge claims he still loves his wife. Lourdes doesn’t have any illusions that this will be the end of their marriage, though. She does hope Jorge cuts off the money (what little of it there is) before Anfisa takes it all.

In full wedding prep mode, Chantel and Pedro try to get their families together again – this time for an excursion into the countryside, where Pedro grew up. Lydia and Karen vow to get new attitudes about making this melded family thing work, much to the relief of their children, and chickens everywhere.

Danielle-Red-Shirt-Black-Sweater-Couch-90-Day-Fiance

Because Danielle is still on the warpath, Mohamed is convinced his life is in danger. But, dang, he needs to stay alive another 48 hours! With their court date just days away, both Danielle and Mohamed have been busy compiling evidence against one another. Danielle is committed to proving how much of a new start she’s making, and how PROW-FESH-ON-AL she’s gonna look in that courtroom. So she goes dress shopping with her sister to get that new “I’m totally sane” look. Lots of luck, lady! Also, Danielle claims that Mohamed is harassing her on social media. It’s the battle of the crazies, people! THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!!! (Who will be left standing at the end of this horror show is anyone’s guess, but I put my money on Mohamed.)

Paola-Photoshoot-Miami-90-Day-Fiance

Because Russ hasn’t been tortured quite enough yet, he decides to accompany Paola to a meeting with the photographer who took Pao’s topless photos and will likely do her new “sexy” photo shoot. The photographer, Alan, brings along another couple, Michelle and Jimmy, who Paola calls her idols because they’re making a similar relationship work in this industry. (Like, the kind of relationship where no one works?) Michelle is a successful fitness model from Venezuela, and Jimmy apparently manages her career. So, these people essentially embody Paola’s #RelationshipGoals.

When Russ explains his hesitancy about Paola flashing her boobs on camera, Paola argues that it’s just a job! Plus, Jimmy’s okay with his wife getting nearly naked in photos, so what’s the big deal? Russ is like, um…this dude is from Europe. I’m from Oklahoma! But Jimmy thinks it’s about trusting your wife, and Russ doesn’t seem to trust his. (Nor should he.)

Five hours later in the van on their quest into the DR countryside, Pedro and Chantel’s families are probably ready to eat any part of the chicken. Except, upon arrival to Pedro’s grandmother’s house, Chantel’s family refuses to even exit the vehicle! Maybe it’s the cauldron being stirred outside in pitch blackness, or perhaps it’s the sound of cackling wafting up through the palm fronds. Whatever it is, Karen wants no part of it. She’s gonna keep her judgmental rear end inside the air conditioned vehicle, thank you very much.

Inside the van, Chantel’s family express their shock at how poor Pedro’s grandmother’s house appears, and how differently Pedro’s mom and sister are living now that Pedro is funding their lifestyle. They think he’s using their daughter, plain and simple, and when he’s done with her, he’ll save up enough money to come back to live the high life with his family. Whether this is actually true doesn’t matter; their perception is fixed solidly in their minds. And Chantel isn’t doing a whole lot to dissuade their theories. She doesn’t like the situation either.

Chantel-Pedro-Argument-Sitting-90-Day-Fiance

When Pedro comes to coax Chantel’s family out of the van, they ridiculously refuse to get out. Wow. Humiliated, Pedro tells his family that his American bride and her kin are hiding out in their vehicle. Then Chantel finally emerges to argue with him about money – because this is the appropriate time and place! She thinks Pedro prioritizes his mom and sister above his wife. But Pedro fights back, saying point blank, “You lie,” reminding Chantel that she’s got a new car. And he has a responsibility, in his culture, to take care of his mother for life. “I’m sorry! I cannot! I cannot!” Chantel huffs, getting up to leave. Well, I guess she’ll just have to go climb back in that van and rethink her life.

Chantel-Pedro-Walkoff-90-Day-Fiance

As a stray dog stares down Chantel’s van-trapped family, Chantel and Pedro take their fight outside. She’s on her mom’s side now, even thinking that Lydia might have set Pedro up to lure her into marriage in order to get a green card, thereby pulling their entire family out of poverty. Um, that’s a stretch. But Chantel and Karen are convinced that Pedro is being used, as are they. So, they take their van back to the city, leaving Pedro behind to explain his in-laws’ dreadful behavior to his family.

“It seems like we’re finding out a lot of stuff now that we should have found out way before,” says Chantel’s freaked out dad on the ride home. Um, didn’t Chantel know where Pedro was from? Or anything about his culture, not to mention his immediate family? Chicken feet notwithstanding, there are just some cultural questions – and answers – that you’d think a couple would discuss before marriage. Even her dad questions how much sugar-coating Chantel did in her explanations of Pedro’s roots. That stray dog could probably communicate more information to Chantel’s family than she can.

Bottom line: These two lovebirds are way too young and immature to know which end is up in their own families, let alone each other’s. Pedro thinks he’s being pressured from both ends. Chantel’s family thinks they’re being conned. Only Lydia sums this garbage dump of a situation up with clarity (and a frightening dose of her very selfish reality): “We’re Dominicans,” she snipes, “Don’t f–k with us.”

So, let’s get that second wedding started! Should be smooth sailing ahead.

TELL US: IS PEDRO’S FAMILY USING HIM? IS PEDRO MORE LOYAL TO HIS MOM THAN CHANTEL? WAS CHANTEL’S FAMILY OUT OF LINE OR JUSTIFIED IN THEIR ACTIONS ON THIS TRIP? WILL MOHAMED GET HIS DIVORCE FROM DANIELLE? WILL JORGE AND ANFISA SPLIT FOR GOOD?

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Live Feeds Day 23 Highlights: Jessica Almost Makes the Right Move

This Big Brother 19 week has been a great one for Josh Martinez fans. He went on the block, as seen on Sunday’s episode, but seems safe from eviction. Christmas Abbott and Paul Abrahamian have already plotted against HOH Jessica Graf to get Ramses Soto out the Big Brother 19 house instead of Josh.

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf

If you’re a Jessica or Cody Nickson fan, you may be upset by the fact that they’re about to experience another Big Brother blindside. Jessica holds all the power this week. However, she being blinded by a sense of hope. She hopes that she can change her perception in the Big Brother 19 house and make alliances. Jessica is completely miss reading her situation.

Cody and Jessica Plan Ahead

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson

Jessica and Cody discuss floating to whoever wins the power this upcoming week, so that they don’t have to pick sides just yet. However, if Cody wins Head of Household, they want to develop a team. Then they want to use that team to evict Paul.

Surprisingly, Cody is starting to trust Christmas more, and wants to pull her in an alliance with them. Jessica wants to use her Halting Hex to strike fear in some of the houseguests. She wants to insinuate that it has a different power. Jessica wants the other Big Brother houseguests to believe that targeting her is a waste of a week.

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Elena Davies

At one point, Jessica starts to realize that she might get blindsided. She sees how valuable Josh could be for the other side. Jessica wants to use the veto and put up Alex Ow. Cody thinks Jessica is just being paranoid.

Jessica talks to Elena Davies about her fears. Elena reassures Jessica that everyone will vote to evict Josh. Elena and Mark Jansen are also being left in the dark, so they have no clue about the blindside coming.

Other Notes

Big Brother 19 Josh Martinez

Josh gives more of his camera speeches. He acts mopey, and tells Ramses how he knows he’s going home this week. He really plays it up.

Matt Clines and Raven Walton agree to give Cody and Jessica one week of not being targeted by them. They plan to target Mark and Josh if they win Head of Household.

The Have-Not are selected. Mark, Paul, and Kevin Schlehuber are the chosen Have-Nots for falling out of the competition first. Josh is also still a HN for picking the wrong key, Mark goes for the key this week, and gets another week of slop. He’ll be on slop for three straight weeks.

Big Brother 19 Recap: Week Four Head of Household & Block Nominations 7/23/17

As soon as Cody Nickson fought his way back into the Big Brother 19 house, his partner in crime, Jessica Graf, gave him a detailed status update on the game since his eviction.  She gave Cody all the gory details about the fight between her and Josh Martinez in the Big Brother backyard.  Most importantly, she told Cody that she was voted by America to win this week’s temptation, the Halting Hex, which can stop any upcoming live eviction for the next three weeks.

Big Brother 19 Cody & Jessica

Next on the showmance to-do list is for one of them to win the next Head of Household (HOH) and turn the house upside down.  Jessica and Cody quickly realized that the entire house has banded together against both of them once again.  Their only defense and chance for power inside the Big Brother house is for one of them to win the next HOH competition.  On the other side of the house, Paul Abrahamian explains to the Big Brother houseguests that they must all rally together to win HOH and get Cody back out of the Big Brother house.

What’s the Hold Up? is this week’s HOH competition.  Each houseguest will hold up a red traffic light disc by pressing on it with their glove and clear pole.  The goal is to keep the disc in place for as long as possible.  Once your traffic light falls, you are eliminated from this Big Brother competition.  As a twist, once each houseguest is eliminated from the game, they must choose a remaining houseguest to punish with a distraction.  The last houseguest standing wins week four’s HOH.

Big Brother 19 What's the Hold Up?

  • Kevin Schlehuber is eliminated within 17 seconds and punishes Cody with smelly trash poured on his back.
  • Mark Jansen is eliminated within 25 seconds and punishes Cody with a road rage driver yelling in his ear.
  • Paul is eliminated within 56 seconds and punishes Cody with wet concrete poured on his back.
  • Jason Dent is eliminated within 2 minutes and punishes Jessica with a graffiti artist spray painting her back.
  • Elena Davies is eliminated within 4 minutes and punishes Cody with a hotdog vendor squirting condiments on him.
  • Matt Clines is eliminated within 5 minutes and punishes Cody with more smelly trash poured on him.
  • Raven Walton is eliminated within 17 minutes and punishes Cody with the road rage screamer again.
  • Josh is eliminated within 38 minutes and punishes Jessica with wet black tar poured on her back.
  • Cody is eliminated within 1 hour and 24 minutes and punishes Ramses with the graffiti artist.
  • Ramses Soto is eliminated within 1 hour and 49 minutes and punishes Jessica with the condiment squirting vendor.
  • Christmas Abbott is eliminated within 2 hours and 52 minutes.
  • Jessica is the new HOH.

Big Brother 19 Head of Household Competition

Big Brother 19 HOH

Josh made sure to seal his fate with Jessica and Cody during the competition.  In an attempt to distract both Cody and Jessica, Josh yelled various “meatball” type slurs at both of them.  Paul had previously asked Josh to try and shake-up Cody’s  Big Brother game during the competition if possible to throw him off his game.  Josh took Paul’s solicitation and consequently could ensure he is going on the block for elimination.

Cody has made it very clear to Jessica that he is playing her game this time around in the Big Brother house.  He told Jessica that he will do whatever she wants him to in the Big Brother house this week as his previous attempt got him evicted in week two.  In addition to Cody playing her game, other members of the house made sure to kiss Cody and Jessica’s ass once they had gained power in the Big Brother house.  Even Paul tried to make amends with Cody and vow to wipe the slate clear.  Winning HOH in the Big Brother house has an amazing way of immediately turning everything upside down.

Big Brother 19 Paul & Cody

At the nomination ceremony, Jessica chose to put to Josh and Ramses on the block for eviction this week.  Josh was an obvious choice, and poor Ramses really doesn’t have any real allies inside the house at this point in the game.

Big Brother 19 Eviction Nominees

He was easy to use as a pawn for Jessica.  Her final target for eviction this week is still up in the air.  Depending on the outcome of the Power of Veto (POV) competition, Jessica will decide her final target for eviction.  Paul is still on the radar and may end up being a backdoor option depending on how the week plays out inside the Big Brother house.

Asa Soltan Rahmati Explains Why Her Baby Won’t Be On Shahs Of Sunset; Says She Is A Natural In Conflict Resolution

Shahs of Sunset recap

Shahs of Sunset recap

Yes, Asa Soltan Rahmati is a reality TV star, but she is pretty lucky because she has been able to capitalize on the Shahs of Sunset exposure to sell those caftans and diamond water without actually sharing anything about her personal life.

Her partner Jermaine Jackson Jr. has never appeared on the show (aside from a quick cameo) and she is pretty much just there to promote herself and comment on everyone else’s problems. Sure, she has an interesting persona with the “Persian Pop Princess” shtick, but she is very closed off- especially in comparison to the rest of the cast who lays it all out there. I have no idea how she pulled this off, but props to her.

Asa talked with Brandi Glanville on her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast to talk about motherhood mostly, but she did talk about the show here and there. When Brandi asked, “What can we expect from the season?” All Asa said was, “A lot. On our show there’s just a lot going on all the time. It was a crazy season.” Vague, but alright.

Asa told Brandi, “I don’t put my son on the show. Jermaine is not on TV. Obviously if he’s not, he’s not going to let his first son be on TV either. It might seem radical to some people, but especially being a part of the Jackson family, they know what this stuff is like. They’re very private. They’ve been through it.”

Asa asserted, “Yes, I’m on a TV show, but you know what, the public doesn’t own me. I’m always going to be me.” Fair enough. I mean if she keeps getting asked back for the show and they’re still paying her, then why would she reveal more than she has to?

The one thing Asa does contribute to the show is being a peacemaker, which isn’t the most entertaining, but it’s necessary on most reality TV shows. Still, she insists that she is not taking on “a role” by trying to facilitate harmony within the cast. Asa explained, “I don’t feel like I have to be the one to do anything. That’s who I am naturally.” She added, “My natural instinct is conflict resolution.”

She insisted, “I don’t feel like that’s my role. Life is short. The world is too crazy. Why are we doing this?” For the money, Asa. If it wasn’t for these people carrying the show by screaming at each other then you wouldn’t be able to push all of these products.

Tonight is an all new episode of Shahs of Sunset. What we can expect tonight, according to Bravo: “Reza and Adam throw an anniversary celebration, where Shervin tells the group that he and Annalise are exclusive and GG is once again left behind. Shervin hosts a Malibu house party and invites Reza and GG in hopes of getting them to make amends. While there, GG makes strides when she apologizes to Adam for attacking him at Asa’s art show last year, but she and Reza actively avoid each other as the party rages. On their way to Malibu, MJ and Reza make a pit-stop to visit her father and  Reza learns that Shams may not be doing as well as MJ has been letting on.”

Luann D’Agostino Laughs At Her Drunken Fall Into The Bushes

The Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Three Tequila…Floor!

The Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Three Tequila…Floor!

The woman formerly known as Luann de Lesseps has come a long way from the countess we “met” watching Season 1 of Real Housewives of New York. She went from getting offended by Bethenny Frankel not referring to her as a countess in year one, to turning up, hooking up, and randomly getting married. Personally, I love this Luann 2.0 who isn’t afraid to down drinks and party it up.

I also have to declare that Luann D’Agostino falling into that bush during that cast trip to Mexico was hands down the best moment of this season. Sure, that wasn’t hard to do considering that this season is pretty “blah,” but that fall was instantly iconic and Luann is embracing it instead of being embarrassed.

In her Bravo blog post, Luann called out Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan for their bull shit antics with the room selection: “Of course, as soon as Ramona and Sonja left the car, it was ‘run for rooms, Mexico.’ Even after the lottery, Ramona and Sonja still put up a fuss about their rooms. Dorinda [Medley] is always so kind in these situations, and she was willing to move just to keep the peace, but I’m glad she stuck up for herself.”

You know this is a shit season when room selection was shown for half of an episode. Luann continued, “Tinsley [Mortimer] was very gracious to give her number to Bethenny who deserved a nice room for planning this trip. I loved it when Dorinda schooled Sonja and Ramona on how numbers one to five comes before six. They should have learned this back in kindergarten along with taking turns and being nice.” Or at least they should have learned something after watching season after season of acting like total brats during every single vacation.

Luann had a great sense of humor when it comes to that now-infamous fall: “Earlier in the day, I dove into the ocean and later that night, I dove into a shrub! I couldn’t stop laughing, and I was glad that one of the house staff came to fish me out. I guess my legendary hollow leg was full that night! I do have a reputation of being able to hold my liquor but by the second tumble over the ledge, it was time to pack it in for the night. Too funny!” This is the Luann that I live for: the woman who owns her shit and isn’t sorry for being fun. Let’s get more of this in the next few episodes.

The only actual drama from the episode was when Tinsley found out that there were “anonymous” reports about her being an ungrateful house guest. Luann theorized, “As for who planted the story about Tinsley in Page Six, anonymous sources are hard to track down. I love Sonja, but I also know that she isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts with the press. I’ve been the victim of her loose lips in the past, and I think it’s best that Tinsley move to a hotel when we get back.”

Luann ended the post with, “Until next week, one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor!” which gives me hope for the next episode. I need more drunk Luann and less bickering about rooms and ordering around innocent resort staffers.

Big Brother 19 Spoilers: Live Feeds Day 22 Highlights: Alcohol Delivery

We had another busy Big Brother 19 day as the houseguests prepared for this week’s veto competition. It was a critical one; players just did not realize the importance of the Big Brother 19 veto holder. We have a long road to Thursday, so anything is possible, but it still seems like we’re in store for yet another blindside for Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf.

Big Brother 19 Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson

As the day progressed, Big Brother 2017 houseguests continued to plot against one another. The house seems so sure that they can blindside Cody and Jessica with no consequences coming their way. It looks like both sides will be in for a Big Brother blindside within the next two weeks.

Cody’s Social Game

Big Brother 19 Jason Dent and Cody Nickson

Cody continues to show a vast improvement from his first time around on Big Brother 19. In the morning, he had several important talks. The first was with Jason Dent, which gave him a lot of information, like that Christmas Abbott was the third vote for him to stay in the game. The second thing he learned was that Ramses Soto didn’t betray him by voting out Jillian Parker. All signs point to Kevin Schlehuber being that culprit.

Cody also revealed that he knows that Jessica has the Halting Hex, but both are keeping that secret close to their chests.

This information may factor into the final nominees.

Much later, Mark Jansen and Cody had a conversation. Mark tried to reestablish the former Cody and Mark bromance. Cody pretended to want to be friends with Mark again, but told Jessica that he didn’t respect Mark as a person or gamer. Christmas has been trying to manipulate things to get Mark on the block. We’ll have to wait and see how that plays out this week or in the future.

Blindside Still a Go

Big Brother 19 Raven Walton, Christmas Abbott, and Matt Clines

Many of the Big Brother 19 players discussed what Jessica would do with her veto. They figured that she would keep nominations the same, which meant Josh Martinez would stay and Ramses would go out the Big Brother 19 doors on Thursday. Paul Abrahamian and Christmas went around talking about their plans to keep Josh.

Josh meanwhile gloated to the camera that he would stay in the game, then he would rub it in Cody and Jessica’s face. He was hoping for a repeat of week 2 with Cody going home and Jessica being alone.Of course, Big Brother 19 fans know that Jessica and Cody have a failsafe, and Cody is likely to win next week’s HOH or the one after, so Josh may not get his wish anytime soon.

Matt is starting to question the plan to keep Josh. He sees how it could backfire and come back to haunt Raven Walton, himself, and Paul. Paul reassured him that this was the best outcome for their group.

Jessica confirmed to Cody that she doesn’t plan to use the Veto. She will keep Ramses on the block and seal her fate, with another blindside coming her way.

Alcohol Delivery
