Survivor 43 Episode 5 Recap: A Few Bad Actors

On the heels of last week’s episode of Survivor, where Lindsay was sent home due to her own paranoia, it appeared for a minute that history was going to repeat itself this week. Cassidy was feeling worried that she was going to be voted out next, despite the fact that she was being constantly reassured by her cool, calm and collected tribe mates, Karla and James, that she was totally safe.

But things did go differently this week, thanks to the poor acting skills of island BFFs, Ryan and Geo. Even with Cassidy feeling some pressure and getting a bit worked up, Karla and James just had to act on the Geo/Ryan alliance. They were feeling so comfortable in the game, that the pair had come up with some elaborate schemes that they were super-confident would work in their favor. Ryan tried to force a totally unbelievable persona on himself, of being a “giver,” and being so noble that he would voluntarily fall on his sword. Cassidy – and the viewers – weren’t buying that bull for even a minute. And then when Geo came back to camp with the “Knowledge is Power” advantage, he decided to lie to the tribe and tell them that he didn’t take any risks, even though he then came clean to Karla. Not a good look. The sum of Ryan and Geo’s actions was too much for the others to handle, and with that, they blindsided Geo and sent him home way earlier than Geo had expected. For those that are not fans of the “Knowledge is Power” advantage, it must have also been nice to see that advantage get flushed from the game just minutes after being introduced into it.

And to think, Geo ended up going home partially because his closest ally, Ryan, single-handedly decided to throw the Immunity Challenge. I’m sure there have been, but has there ever been a more arrogant duo pre-merge than Ryan and Geo?

Episode 5 began and ended with the Blue Tribe. We didn’t get much from Red Tribe tonight, other than them dominating yet another challenge (their third challenge win in a row). We did get to see Jesse head off on the “Risk/Reward” excursion, along with Jeanine from the Yellow Tribe and Geo from Blue, but other than that, we hardly got a glimpse of anything new happening at their camp.

Despite not seeing Tribal Council this week, the Yellow Tribe did have a lot going on. This was, in fact, Jeanine‘s episode. Up until now, Jeanine had mostly been portrayed as Elie‘s partner-in-crime, but she really had a breakout episode for herself. First, she came across the Beware Advantage, and was tasked with the same “bead gathering” mission that we’ve seen play out at the other two tribes. She ended up securing her vote AND an Immunity Idol for herself, even though her method of bead collecting was a bit unorthodox in comparison to what we had seen in the past. Sami and Owen both appeared to ponder the thought of not giving Jeanine their beads, so that she would just lose her vote. But they all ultimately went along with it, even Gabler, although Sami explained to Gabler later that Jeanine had in fact gotten an Idol after collecting all of their beads. It’s a risky play, to allow Jeanine to acquire an Idol, but Jeanine doesn’t know that everyone else knows she has it. As fate would have it, Jeanine ended up losing her vote at her next Tribal Council anyways, after she took the “risk” at the “Risk/Reward” excursion, and came up empty.

The Gabler vs. Elie drama has been escalating each and every episode, so it will be interesting to see how this ends up playing out now that we’ve presumably reached the merge.

Episode Take-Away. It looks like we’ve hit the merge, although it was the players, not Jeff, that declared “merge!” during the next episode’s preview. If it is in fact the merge, we have reached it with a pretty even tribe split: 4 Blues, 4 Reds, and 5 Yellows. The Yellow Tribe has the slight numbers advantage, and also the slight advantage advantage (you’ve read that right), with both Gabler and now Jeanine in possession of Idols. The Red Tribe has Cody with an Idol and Noelle with her Steal-A-Vote, and then Blue Tribe has Karla‘s Idol.

As to the breakdown of the dynamics within the tribe, the Blue alliance of Karla, James and Cassidy seems quite formidable, and even though Ryan is on the outs with them, he may not have anywhere else to turn and may be targeted early due to how big a physical threat he is. The Red Tribe has galvanized over the past few weeks, absolutely crushing the challenges once their backs were against the wall, which means that Noelle, Cody, Jesse and Dwight, should they remain tight moving forward, may also be trouble for the others. What occurs within the Yellow Tribe may be what shapes the rest of the season. Though they have the numbers and the most advantages, they are also the most fractured. We know it’s Gabler vs. Elie and Jeanine, and while Sami and Owen appear to be closer to Gabler, will they ultimately decide to go that route?

The merge episode is always one of the best of each season, so I can’t wait for next week! If tonight’s episode was the last “pre-merge” episode of the season, I’d say this was a pretty solid start to what looks like a promising overall season. What say all of you?

Caroline Manzo Says The Feud Between Teresa Giudice, Joe Gorga And Melissa Gorga Was Inevitable

Real Housewives of New Jersey has always been about family. Or famb-ily, depending on who you are talking to. But as we’ve seen over and over again, both on RHONJ and other franchises, reality TV easily gets in the way. So when it was reported that the long time feud between Teresa Giudice, brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga was reignited, no one was really surprised. And that includes former castmate (and former Tre friend) Caroline Manzo.

While at BravoCon, Caroline told Page Six her thoughts on the latest falling out between Teresa and her family. Said Caroline,“[It’s] inevitable, tragic, sad.” She added, “The kids suffer in a very public way. And I just think it’s very sad.”

While filming the most recent season of RHONJ, Teresa, Joe and Melissa had it out when a rumor was spread at the season finale. An insider claimed that Teresa repeated a rumor that would “cause drama” in the Gorga marriage. Because of it, Joe and Melissa opted to skip Teresa’s wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

Days after the drama, Joe took to an episode of Melissa’s On Display podcast. He shared, “I’m just shocked at the way I’m treated by my own family, my blood. That’s what kills me. Every day, you have to live a life like that.”

Back to Caroline, she can definitely relate to all the family drama stemming from being on RHONJ. She hasn’t spoke with sister Dina Manzo in years. And they likely won’t start anytime soon. Dina’s ex-husband, Tommy Manzo, was charged in connection to a violent home invasion that left Dina and her now- husband zip tied, beaten and robbed. Instead of supporting her sister and blood, Caroline wrote a letter to the court vouching for her brother-in-law. Can you say worst sister ever?

Clearly, Caroline wants to get back on TV one way or another. One, by attending BravoCon to begin with (why was she invited?) and two, for asserting that she wants to go back just to  “knock the s–t out of” Teresa. The mom of three said in May, “I’m just gonna put it out there ’cause I just don’t give a f–k, all right? You know what? I would get great pleasure. To go in and just knock the s–t out of [Teresa] verbally and just put her in her place.”

She’s now backtracking on that statement. Caroline told Page Six, “Nothing [will happen]. I’ll say hello to her. Easy. We’re adults. Act like an adult.” She concluded, “There’s always hope. A fool says never.”

Gia Giudice Reveals She’s Still In Touch With Joe And Melissa Gorga Amid Family Drama

Even though the family drama between Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga has never settled down — Gia Giudice is revealing that she’s still in touch with her uncle and his wife, Melissa Gorga.

BravoCon 2022 was packed full of goodness. Exclusive tidbits and so much more have filled the Housewives social media sphere with just too much to keep up with. In case you missed it, a while back, Teresa revealed she was done trying to reconcile with Joe and Melissa. This revelation came after the couple skipped Tre’s wedding to Luis Ruelas after an alleged brawl took place during the filming of the upcoming season.

After that, both Tre and the Gorgas have gone back and forth online dropping little pieces of information about where the two stand today. Melissa revealed she’s ready to say goodbye to toxic situations — many fans hoping she was announcing her departure from the Bravo series.

At BravoCon — Joe gave a statement revealing the drama between him and his sister is “ruining” his life and he wants to put it behind him. It was also revealed that both Joe and Gia ignored each other in NYC while at the event.

On that, Gia spoke with Page Six and shared, “We don’t really talk as much now, but it’s OK. I’m sure we’ll move forward somehow,” she said. “I texted my uncle for [his] birthday just out of respect — and for the holidays. He texted back just like, ‘Thank you.'”

“Honestly, the biggest thing I want is for whatever happens between them to not affect my cousins and I,” she said. “[What happens] between my mom and uncle, that’s between them. My cousins and I are good. We still talk here and there. We’re good.”

Gia promises that with the newest season of RHONJ airing soon, fans can expect to see her play a big part in the upcoming 13th season.

“I kind of stayed behind the scenes with what was happening between my mom and my uncle,” she told Page Six. “It’s just about [seeing] our side on a more personal level, and I think that’s really what the fans are going to see.”

The Bachelorette Alum Rachel Recchia Is Interested In Getting to Know Greg Grippo

It’s been nearly a month since the finale of The Bachelorette (has it been that long already?) — or as co-lead Gabby Windey called it the “big fat dumpster.” Meanwhile, her co-star Rachel Recchia is picking up what’s left of her self-esteem and attempting to move on with her life.

“I’m not actively trying to date at all, but I do feel like I’m not in a position where I’m, like, so broken that I need months to heal. That’s the consensus I’ve seen online — ‘she needs to heal,'” Rachel admitted. “I’m OK. I’ve been doing the work. And I’ve been broken up with [Tino] since before you guys knew. So I do feel like I am in the spot where I do want that, but I’m not, like, on the dating apps . . . I don’t want to start doing that yet. Because it’s so sad to me that’s where I’m at, honestly . . . Going [two] full seasons and then to end up right back where you started? That’s where it’s frustrating.”

While Rachel confessed that she would be the Bachelorette again if she was guaranteed to find her person, the season 11 co-lead quipped, “If I was single and they said they’d pay me a million dollars to do it. I don’t know if I could do it again,” US Magazine reported.

Following her disastrous appearance on the Bachelorette finale, Rachel talked about how hard it was to watch herself make so many “dumb” mistakes on-screen.

“It’s crazy how watching yourself back, like, forces you to grow and learn. And watching myself back, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, I made so many mistakes,'” Rachel said. “And I so badly want to stand there [and] be like, ‘I was perfect, I stand by my decisions.’ I watched myself be so dumb — over and over and over again. And I’m like, ‘You have to learn something from that.’ So it has been a learning experience, for sure. And there’s so many things I feel like I can take from it. If it’s not a relationship, at least just like lessons for the next one.” The next one?!

When asked what she would tell her past self, Rachel shared a similar sentiment about making mistakes.

“I would go back to, like, right when The Bachelor ended, because I feel like, at that point, I had, like, no direction. I had no idea what was happening. I would just be like, it’s OK.’ And then also be like, ‘Don’t be a dumbass on your own season. Get your s—t together!'” she confessed. “I feel like I could have went back and told myself so much — like night one, I wish I could just whisper in my ear and just be like, ‘Don’t.’ Period.”

After it came out that Rachel had started following Katie Thurston’s former Bachelorette contestant Greg Grippo on Instagram, the flight instructor admitted, “I would definitely flirt with Greg . . . I followed him and then he followed me back.”

Greg was a competitor on Season 17 of The Bachelorette, but left voluntarily during episode 7. He said at the time, “It felt, like, a little too scripted and felt like, ‘Alright, we need to play by [the rules]’ — I had no problem going into, like, the fantasy suite and there being two other guys there. I wasn’t looking for the show to end. I wasn’t at all. I wanted us to communicate on a mutual level in those moments.” He also admitted to not feeling a “mutual love” with Katie at the time.

Sounds like he just wants to date and get to know someone away from the cameras and all the “rules.” Jump in there, Rachel! You just never know until you try.

Katie Maloney Says She Is Dating A 25-Year-Old Guy Following Split From Tom Schwartz

Tom Schwartz isn’t the only one getting their groove back after the slew of Vanderpump Rules breakups that took place since Season 9.

In March, Tom and Katie Maloney took to Instagram to confirm their divorce after 3 years of marriage and a 12-year relationship. Quickly, Tom was rumored to be hooking up with castmate Raquel Leviss on the low. Tom denies anything happened, but things didn’t stop there.

Tom and Raquel were later caught canoodling at Scheana Shay’s wedding which was filmed for Season 10. Katie was notably absent from the event. But according to Page Six, she’s baaaaack.

Katie is back in the game and dating again! During BravoCon 2022 on Saturday, she revealed that she even has a new main-man in her life. “There’s a guy who’s, like, 25 that I’ve been hanging with. It’s fun,” she said. Katie maintains that her new relationship is nothing serious. I just want to know if we will be getting a pic of this youngster.

“Single girl Katie is having a good time,” Katie said of herself during the exclusive. “It’s just casual. It’s just fun. I haven’t been single since I was 24, and the landscape is totally different.”

Katie shared that she initially tried to move on from Tommy Boy by downloading the membership-based private dating app, Raya. She moved on after she was turned away.

“They waitlisted me, so I thought, ‘This was a sign,’” she explained. “Instagram works. You can just slide in some DMs. That’s what’s up. Instagram is kind of a dating app. Also, all the guys are kind of, like, young. But that’s kind of fun, too.”

Katie and Tom finalized their divorce in recent weeks. When they announced their split in March, Katie cheesily wrote, “This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose. Although we may be on different paths we will continue to love and support one another’s happiness.”

Schwartz also reflected on the good times in his marriage announcing, “I’m telling you we had some of the most blissful, romantic, fun times humanely possible over the course of our relationship. I’m talking heaven on earth level joy.” I’m so sure.

Patricia Altshul Gives An Update On Butler Michael Kelcourse’s Health Following Stroke

There’s no debate. He put the charm in Southern Charm. Who didn’t love Michael the Butler? He may be the single most unifying man to ever hit the Bravo screen. He induced labor by rubbing pregnant women’s feet, drove a Bently through the McDonald’s drive-through, and had a cocktail to spare at a moment’s notice. There could never be another.

Michael worked for Patricia Altshul for nearly 20 years before he suffered a spinal cord stroke in February of 2021. He hasn’t been back to film since that time, though Whitney Sudler-Smith and Pat have given updates on his progress from time to time.

Nine months after his stroke, Patricia reported that Michael’s recovery was still far from over. She announced that the former butler would soon be transferred to an interim assisted living in order to continue with his therapies and rehabilitation.

Over the weekend, Patricia attended the Sunday Southern Charm panel at BravoCon 2022 in New York City. According to People, she reported to the attendees that Micheal remains paralyzed from the waist down, though he has made several strides over the last 22- months.

“He is paralyzed from the chest down. I sent him to the Shepherd Center, which is the foremost center for spinal cord strokes,” Patricia shared. “They rehabilitated him to the point where he can drive a van. He’s living in an assisted living care facility with nurses, which he requires. He’s in Sarasota, Florida, close with family, so they’re there to take care of him on a daily basis.”

Pat assured everyone that Michael still has his “wonderful attitude.” She told fans, “He’s on Instagram, so send him messages on Instagram, that would be really nice.” Patricia shared that Michael “loves Southern Charm fans.”

“He used to stand out in the front of my house making up chores to do because I have fans around my house all the time. He loved to give garden tours and take pictures — so send him a message, that would be really nice.”

Patricia also encouraged fans to share some love on Michael’s 69th birthday that as earlier this month on Instagram.

Teresa reportedly later invited Melissa to be a bridesmaid, along with RHONJ co-stars Jennifer Aydin and Dolores Catania. Melissa refused, but the other ladies accepted. Melissa would have ended up in an ugly dress. Just saying!

When Teresa finally walked down the aisle to marry Luis “Louie” Ruelas, Joe and Melissa were not present. After a nasty blow-up during filming of the Season 13 finale, the couple decided not to attend. Rumors about Melissa allegedly stepping out on Joe were brought up. In the wake of her brother skipping her wedding, Teresa stated she isn’t open to reconciling.

Well, it sounds like Melissa is on board with Teresa’s decision. Melissa spoke to US Weekly on October 15, 2022, at BravoCon. “From day one with all the wedding drama, I was told on national TV I wasn’t gonna be a part of it. I was told we are not close,” Melissa explained. “I was told all of these things. So, when you draw the line in the sand, well then, I have to stand behind the line. And then don’t be upset when we’re behind the line because you drew it,” the singer added.

But the bridesmaid slight wasn’t the root cause of the relationship falling apart. “It wasn’t just one event. I feel like everybody wants to think there was like one big thing that happened that caused us to say we’re not going to this wedding,” the mom of three stated.

Melissa continued, “I think it was a series of events. I think it was a long time coming. I think I knew certain things that I couldn’t say out loud.” She added, “And then, at the finale, they came out, and just — energies rose.”

Melissa said that RHONJ viewers will see all the drama that led up to the explosive finale and the reason why the Gorgas didn’t attend Teresa’s wedding. “It would feel really silly to go from that and then within 12 hours to be sitting in a pew as it would just not make any sense for us to even be there,” she stated. “Yeah. So that’s what you’ll see.”

The boutique owner, who previously called the situation “toxic,” doesn’t seem interested in fixing the relationship with Teresa right now. “I got off the roller coaster. I don’t want to be on it anymore,” Melissa remarked. “We’ll see what happens.” She is finished playing referee between Joe and his sister. “Melissa has exited the building in that situation. I’m done,” the podcast host added.

As for Teresa’s four daughters and the Gorga’s children? “The cousins all talk. I feel like the kids should never get involved,” Melissa said.

Even though Winter House just began airing its second season, it’s almost time for another round of summer fun in the Hamptons. It’s hard to believe that Summer House will soon embark on its seventh season. It’s made a major shift since the Wirkus Cirus of it all. Just look at Carl Radke’s transformation in less than a decade — it’s been quite a journey.

Summer House is in a weird era. Half of the cast are married, engaged, or pressuring their significant other to put a ring on it *cough cough* Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo. Even though many of the OGs are at much more mature places in their lives, they still will cut loose and cause chaos every summer in the Hamptons. One of the most whirlwind Summer House romances has been between Carlito and Lindsay Hubbard. I mean, we saw them try dating many years ago and it ended horribly. However, a romantic spark at Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s wedding quickly turned into a total lovefest. Lindsay even has a ring on her finger, and it’s mindboggling how quickly it all happened.

The most peculiar aspect of Carl and Lindsay’s relationship has been the radio silence from Danielle Olivera. Sure, she’s wished her so-called besties well, but something is off. These three amigos were attached at the hip. However, ever since Carl and Lindsay got more serious, Danielle seems to have distanced herself. We all know Lindsay is an acquired taste, but something major would have to have happened for this duo to split.

The Summer House besties were in the same room at BravoCon and were forced by fans to address the status of their friendship. They didn’t divulge much, teasing that we’ll see what happens during Season 7 of the show, according to Page Six. “I’ll just use the word ‘unfortunate,'” Danielle responded to fans questioning their breakup. Lindsay was quick to add “same” from the other side of the stage. Awkward.

Lindsay also teased a major shift in her friendship dynamics in the panel. “A lot happened this summer,” HubbHouse said. “You have to just get through it and hope on the other side of it, things will be good. I think that’s as political as I can put it.” Girls, why are you fighting? First, we have to deal with the sadness of not having Andrea Denver on our screens on a regular basis in the near future. Now, we have to see one of the strongest friendships on Bravo break up. Make it make sense, Andy Cohen.

Dancing With The Stars Recap: Which Contestant Had To Withdraw Due To Issues?

Last week on Dancing with the Stars, the magic of the ballroom ended for weatherman Sam Champion and his partner, Cheryl Burke. This week, DWTS competitors are sharing their Most Memorable Year. Grab your tissues- this episode is always emotional.

So, whose dances will be truly memorable? Let’s get to the recap!

Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater

Actor Trevor Donovan and his partner, Emma Slater, found themselves in the bottom two last week. Trevor’s most memorable year is 2009. After losing an acting job on a soap, Trevor planned to take a break from acting. At that moment, he received the call that he was cast on Beverly Hills 90210.

Trevor and Emma danced a jazz routine to “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. The performance had great connection, and Trevor did a good job partnering Emma. Judge Len Goodman praised Trevor’s control and called it his “best dance yet.” The duo received a 32/40.

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Shangela and pro Gleb Savchenko performed the foxtrot to Katy Perry’s “Roar (Acoustic.)” Shangela’s most memorable year is 2013. After suffering an injury dancing, Shangela needed surgery. He called his mother, and she stayed by his bedside. Shangela has a titanium road in his leg.

The duo’s foxtrot was elegant and refined. Len called it “lovely.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba commended Shangela’s softness. Shangela’s mother was in the audience, and they embraced and wept together. Gleb and Shangela received a score of 32/40.

Jessie James Decker and Alan Bersten

Jessie James Decker’s most memorable year is 2014 when she gave birth to her first child. Jessie commented that she felt complete after welcoming her daughter. Jessie and her partner, Alan Bersten, danced the tango to Jessie’s song, “Blue Jeans.”

The judges felt that the first half of the routine was a little unsteady, but Jessie nailed the second part. Carrie Ann stated that Jessie is “such a strong dancer.” The duo received a 29/40.

Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy

The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and pro Val Chmerkovskiy danced the foxtrot to “If the World Should Ever Stop” by JP Cooper. Gabby, who was an ICU nurse during the pandemic, recalled all of the isolation and death that she witnessed. She dedicated her dance to healthcare workers.

The routine was graceful and elegant. Len called the couple’s performance “lovely and lyrical.” Judge Bruno Tonioli told Gabby that she “looked magnificent.” Gabby and Val received a 36/40 from the judges.

Joseph Baena and Daniella Karagach

Fitness model and actor Joseph Baena named 2022 his most memorable year. While others wanted him to follow in his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s footsteps, Joseph decided to forge his own path.

He danced a sexy rumba with Daniella Karagach to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” Len told Joseph it was his best dance yet. Carrie Ann stated, “That was one of the best rumbas by a male I’ve ever seen on this show.” Hooray for hip action! Joseph and Daniella scored a 34/40.

Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart

Actor Daniel Durant shared that 2019 was his most memorable year. That was the year that he began shooting the movie CODA. Daniel and Britt Stewart performed a contemporary routine to “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell. American Sign Language was incorporated into the emotional routine.

Judge Derek Hough complimented the duo on the “incredibly moving performance.” Carrie Ann told Daniel it was one of his best dances so far. Britt and Daniel received a 34/40 from the judges.

Jordin Sparks and Brandon Armstrong

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks named 2017, the year that she met her husband Dana, her most memorable. She danced a salsa routine with partner Brandon Armstrong to “Let’s Get Married (ReMarqable Remix)” by Jagged Edge ft. RUN. Host Tyra Banks called the routine a rumba, but luckily, I’m not scoring her.

Bruno loved the salsa, calling it “spicy.” Len pointed out Jordin’s growing confidence. The duo scored a 33/40.

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas

TikTok superstar Charli D’Amelio discussed her battle with anxiety. She picked 2022 as her most memorable year because it is the first time that her anxiety isn’t controlling her. Her partner, Mark Ballas, is playing the role of anxiety in their piece.

They performed a mesmerizing contemporary routine to Lewis Capaldi’s “When the Party’s Over.” Carrie Ann called it “perfection.” Derek complimented the “raw” performance. Charli and Mark scored a 39/40. They also grabbed the first 10 of Season 31!

Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki

Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino named 2009 as his most memorable year. That was the year that Jersey Shore started airing. Vinny and his pro partner, Koko Iwasaki, fist-bumped through a fun jazz routine to “Levels” by Avicii.

Derek said that Vinny is a good performer. He does exude joy in the ballroom. Len called the performance “tight and together.” Vinny even taught host Alfonso Ribeiro to “beat the beat” in the sky box. The duo scored a 32/40.

Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev

Heidi D’Amelio, from The D’Amelio Show, danced a sensual rumba with pro Artem Chigvintsev to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You (I Love You Baby)” by Lauryn Hill. Heidi chose 1997 as her most memorable year. She left Louisiana and moved to New York to pursue a modeling career. That is when she met her husband, too.

Derek praised Heidi’s improvement week after week. Bruno said that her “leg placement was spot on.” Heidi and Artem received a 36/40 from the judges.

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson

Singer and actor Wayne Brady chose 2003 as his most memorable year. That was the year that his daughter, Maile, was born. Wayne and his partner, Witney Carson, danced the foxtrot to “Beautiful” by Wayne and Jim Brickman. Wayne dedicated it to his daughter.

Bruno said that their performance “captured the essence of love at first sight.” Derek praised the “beautiful, beautiful performance.” The duo received a 37/40.

Selma Blair and Sasha Farber

Actress Selma Blair chose 2018 as her most memorable year. It was the year that she was diagnosed with MS. Unfortunately, Selma shared some bad news with her partner, Sasha Farber. She can’t continue in the DWTS competition because of medical issues.

The pair decides to do their final dance together. They performed a sweet and flowing waltz to “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Andra Day.

Carrie Ann told Selma that she is “a blessing and a gift.” Sasha said of Selma, “She’s inspired me. She’s a wonderful mother, an iconic actress, and a beautiful dancer now.” Although the scores will not count, the judges gave Selma and Sasha their final set of scores. Each judge raised their 10 paddle and gave a standing ovation as the other cast members wept. I cried along at home.

No Elimination

There was no elimination tonight because Selma is leaving the show. All of the viewer votes and judges’ scores will be added to tomorrow night’s scores and votes. DWTS goes back to the prom tomorrow night!

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on Disney+.

Luann de Lesseps And Sonja Morgan’s Spin-Off Show Is Officially Confirmed By Bravo

They’re baaaaack! When it was announced by Bravo Daddy Andy Cohen that Real Housewives of New York would be completely rebooted, fans worried about the fate of their favorite veterans. With the cast in limbo when it came to the possibility of RHONY Legacy, a spin-off rumor started. Thankfully, it was true.

As reported by E! News, Bravo has officially announced that Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are getting their own spin-off. The series is schedule to premiere in 2023 and is cheekily named Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. The women are set to take over the small down of Benton, Illinois, population 7,000.

The network teaser stated, “It’s a fish-out-of-water experience for everyone involved, especially when the two Manhattanites check in to the local motel. At the request of the mayor, they take on tasks to boost morale and galvanize the town with new spirit. From building a new playground to revitalizing the local theater with a full-on variety show, Luann and Sonja have their work cut out for them as they embrace their new temporary home.”

The statement concluded, “Whether searching for the town’s famous crappie fish in the lake with their bare hands or going mudding with monster trucks, one thing is for certain—with Luann and Sonja in charge and out of their element, hijinks and hilarity are sure to follow.”

Sound familiar? Yep, the show definitely seems to be following the format of the popular reality series, The Simple Life. The hit show ran from 2003 to 2007 and starred Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. The two socialites rich kids traveled to small towns in America and hilariously tried their hand at things like farming.

In June, news leaked (likely on purpose) that the two RHONY vets would be getting their own series. An insider revealed, “Luann and Sonja of course will be their fabulous selves and each episode will have them interacting with the locals. They don’t know the locations yet, but it’s going to be somewhere like Kansas or Nebraska, not some hipster Southern town. [Executives] have been holding the locations even from the gals until the last minute.”

Only a month later, Lu and Sonja were seen filming the show. They allegedly spent a few weeks in Benton which will result in 10 episodes. Stay tuned for an official release date!

Kathy Hilton came guns blazing firing nothing but shot after shot at Lisa Rinna after she led the campaign to try and take her down and ruin her relationship with her sister and OG Real Housewife Kyle Richards.

“You’re the biggest bully in Hollywood and everyone knows it,” Kathy says to Rinna, leaving literally the entire world “shook”. Just as shook as Lisa was when Kathy allegedly had her meltdown in Aspen that no one was there to witness except her. Also during the trailer, we of course see Kyle crying, hardly understandable, begging host Andy Cohen if she could leave the set because she just wasn’t doing well. If my years of binging Housewives serve me well, then I’m assuming things got pretty bad between the sisters during the taping and as they prepared to wrap up and Kyle just couldn’t fake it.

Thankfully for her, she always seems to have a slew of people in her corner ready to back her up. She tells People that her Halloween co-star Jamie Lee Curtis called her after watching the trailer and said, “I cried seeing that. I don’t like to see you hurt.”

Kyle continues, “She kind of gave me a pep talk about what she thinks of me as a person and not to forget it. And it’s never lost on me that she makes the time and the effort to do that for me, because she always does.”

Aww, Kyle. It probably feels great to have your friends backing you up. Maybe you could put a little bit of that into practice with some of your friends like Sutton Stracke… or maybe even your sisters Kathy and Kim Richards. I don’t know, just a thought.

Both Kathy and Kyle have had a tough season this year. Kyle has been in the hot seat essentially since the season started with fans questioning her behavior toward Sutton and Garcelle Beauvais. And Kathy has had to face the music now that the Aspen trip drama has finally aired and the cast is able to talk about it. You can tell Kyle seems conflicted between having her sister’s back and trying to push the storyline further. But at this point, it’s too late.

Vinny Guadagnino Says Anxiety “Gets The Best” Of Him Before Every Dancing With The Stars Performance

As a Dancing with the Stars fan, I love it when a competitor has a breakthrough in the ballroom. Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino did just that on Disney+ night.  He has openly discussed his struggle with anxiety, and now he is opening up about how it is affecting his journey on DWTS.

Vinny told People about his pre-performance anxiety. “It gets the best of me up until I hit the stage,” Vinny explained. His pro partner Koko Iwasaki added, “Literally, I see his face change.”

He continued, “But that’s part of it though. You can’t try to tell your demons to go away.” Vinny characterized himself as “a chill dude,” but dancing in the ballroom makes him anxious. “This right here?” Vinny commented. “It brings it out of me.”

Koko said that the key to overcoming Vinny’s pre-performance jitters is an open line of communication. “He laid it all out there and it made me understand. It made me now know how to help and just be there for him,” Koko explained. “Even if he doesn’t need it, if he needs it, I’m just here. It just helped our relationship, really.”

Koko and Vinny chatted with reporters on World Mental Health Day. Vinny stated, “I think it’s important for people to talk about their mental health, to share. It really helps, instead of bottling it up inside,” he added. Vinny stated that learning how to cope with his “stress and nerves” on DWTS has helped in other parts of his life. “I love going through this challenge,” he remarked.

Vinny and Koko danced a fun samba to “Il Gatto E La Volpe” from the movie Luca. In the package, Vinny discussed feeling like he needed to “prove” that he should be in the ballroom, which brought up his anxiety. Vinny shared, “I want to do a good job so badly.”

The duo finally earned an eight for their dance. Judge Len Goodman told Vinny the routine was “by far your best dance.” Len added that Vinny “danced it with control.” All four judges praised Vinny’s progress but added that he needs to improve his technique.

During the DWTS premiere, Vinny received a 17/40, which was the lowest score of the evening. Voters saved him from landing in the bottom two couples. He did well on Elvis night, scoring a 27/40. But on James Bond night, Vinny didn’t fulfill his mission. The duo received a score of 23/40.

Page Six reported that Vinny had some special guests in the audience. His Jersey Shore co-stars Pauly D and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino showed up to support their friend.  “I mean, just having them there, having my boys there — we were all laughing backstage. We’re MVP, baby!” Vinny remarked. “We’re a group and they’re here to support me.”

“I want them here every week because [Vinny] did great today!” Koko stated. “I’m like, ‘Maybe Pauly and Mike are good luck charms.’ I’m here for it,” the pro dancer added.

Mike knows his way around the ballroom. During Season 11 of DWTS, he competed with Karina Smirnoff. Please don’t give Vinny any pointers, Mike. Just saying!

During Season 17,  Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who also goes by Nicole LaValle, waltzed with pro dancer Sasha Farber. Both Nicole and co-star Deena Nicole Cortese have been cheering Vinny on, along with the rest of the Jersey Shore cast.

American Institute For Cancer Research Slams Lisa Rinna For Her RHOBH Finale Comments

Finally — Lisa Rinna is getting the pushback she deserves. I mean, watching this season has been kinda refreshing knowing that Rinna has given more “friend-of” vibes than full-time diamond holder — but either way, it would appear the ladies are taking her crap anymore and neither is The American Institute for Cancer Research.

Yep. They slammed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently after claiming she used “the specter of cancer as emotional blackmail to justify airing her grievances.”

Oof, Rinna. This doesn’t look too good. At all. Some may recall Lisa saying during the season 12 finale episode she would “get sick and get cancer” if she didn’t mention it all about Kathy Hilton’s alleged breakdown in Aspen. Uhh, okay. Let’s just be real Lisa and say that you were pretty bored (and boring) and this opportunity to milk something out for the entire off-season and the last 4 episodes of this season was the perfect way for you to be at the center of the show’s biggest scandal.

A spokesperson from the AICR said that Rinna was coopting the disease to justify “emotional blackmail.” Sounds about right. She’s playing the victim here so that she can make Kathy look like this terrible monster in front of the world as if she hasn’t accused people of doing hardcore drugs, smashed a glass on a table potentially endangering others, and tried to choke someone. And as Kathy says at the RHOBH reunion, “The list can go on and on.”

The AICR also noted that there is “no strong evidence to support stress being the cause of cancer” and that Lisa has “taken a popular (but likely false) concept” and repeated it for millions of viewers.

This alleged meltdown from Kathy that only Lisa was there to witness is still so minor to me I don’t even understand how this became part of the show’s storyline. All of this was enough to give Rinna the first seat at the reunion?

Kathy having a meltdown and supposedly displaying diva behavior is not surprising at all. She’s a Hilton. And that’s not shade — just facts. I mean, all of these Housewives are divas in their own way. Dorit Kemsley said she doesn’t do repeat purchases, Erika Jayne (used to) spends tens of thousands of dollars on glam a MONTH, and Garcelle Beauvais couldn’t even take her own luggage down the stairs when they went on their cast trip last season.

The allegations of Kathy being upset because no one wanted to do a conga line (or play Michael Jackson) is not a shocker. To anyone. Hopefully next season — well, if there is a next season for Rinna — she comes back refreshed and ready to give us the light-hearted Housewives drama we know and love.
