Margaret Josephs Says Siggy Flicker “Has Two Speeds: Hate & Hater”; Defends Her Pigtails
Even though Season 8 of Real Housewives of New Jersey has been airing for a month, it feels like Margaret Josephs is an official member of the Bravo family now that she has appeared on Watch What Happens Live. It really is a rite of passage for the Bravolebrities.
Surprisingly enough, the interview wasn’t over-saturated with Siggy Flicker questions. The main topic of conversation was actually Margaret’s infamous pigtails.
Even though it wasn’t a Siggy-centered interview, Andy Cohen did open up the episode with a question about Margaret’s foe. He wondered if “Margaret and Siggy can move on with their friendship.” When did they ever have a friendship? They’re essentially coworkers. Andy pointed out, “Siggy was kind of ready to let you back in.” Margaret explained, “You know when Dolores [Catania] and I spoke it seemed that way and when she went to speak to Siggy. Siggy has two speeds I think: hate and hater. So we’ll have to see how it pans out.” Solely based on social media, things will not pan out well between the two of them, but maybe there will be some bright spots along the way?
Andy asked Margaret to share her “sales pitch” for the pigtails. Margaret answered, “They’re disarming and charming. Everyone like to bang a girl with pigtails. They make you bangable. They’re adorable. They’re fun. And they work on the Marge.” Clearly, she’s been asked this question before. She had this answer down pat.
Even though Margaret and Siggy are far from being besties, Margaret did end up having a positive interaction with Dolores when they met up for lunch. Andy asked Margaret what made her opened up to Dolores and for a status update on where she stands with her step children today.
Margaret confessed, “I opened up to Dolores because I felt bad. She has an unconventional relationship. I wanted her to realize that I relate to her and Frank [Catania] and that I’ve had unconventional relationships. Maybe she’d understand me. I always realize with my pain I always make jokes and things like that, but I’m very deep. I was always about my family. So I wanted to discuss with her where I come from with my kids and everything else.”
She continued, “You know what, we’re trying to work through it. I call them my children. I don’t even call them my step kids. I’m obsessed with them. I love them and we’re just trying to work it out. Families are tough.” Yes they are. I wonder if Margaret’s step kids have been watching the season what they think now that they’ve become a topic of conversation.
Back to the pigtails, Andy asked, “What is the backstory of the pigtails? How long has this been going on?” Margaret shared, “Since I was five. Since I was a little girl. I gave them up for a while, but then people became obsessed with them. When I don’t wear them, people get upset. It’s fun, I go into a room and stand out.” She definitely does stand out.
Margaret added, “I’m gonna tell you, when I went to Joan Rivers’ house, Joan said to me, ‘Don’t ever lose the pigtails. They make you stand out.’ I don’t look like every other blonde in the room. When I walk in, I make a statement. People are like,’Who’s that girl in the pigtails?'” Who would have thought that there would be so many Joan Rivers references in relation to this show? When will she be mentioned next? My money is on the reunion episodes.
Then the biggest breakout star of the season finally had a chance to speak. Margaret’s mother Marge Sr. was the bartender for the night and she was really giving me life- as per usual. Andy asked if she is single these days and she admitted, “Are you single. I’m afraid so. I haven’t found the person.” They really need to show some of her dates on Real Housewives of New Jersey. I can’t help feeling like that would be reality TV gold. When asked about her preferred age range for potential suitors, Margaret shared, “I like to start about fifty five.”
Of course the whole episode couldn’t be all lighthearted chatter about pigtails and Marge Sr.’s love life. They had to address the season’s drama as well. A viewer asked Margaret, “Who do you believe in the whole Danielle [Staub] and Dolores situation?” Margaret answered, “I actually believe Danielle because you know it could have been taken out of context. It could have been in the heat of the moment in a discussion. I don’t think Dolores meant it maliciously, but I do believe she said it.” This isn’t super shocking since Danielle and Margaret became instant besties and Dolores and Margaret are frienemies at best. I just wish this conversation was filmed for the show! I hate when the interesting stuff happens outside of filming.
Another fan asked Margaret if it was a good for Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga to be in business together. Margaret concluded, ” I think it’s fine. They’re family members. I think it’s great. The Gorga restaurant is fabulous. I think it’s great. I think it’s fine for family members to be in business together. You’re family members what are you going to do? You can’t dump each other. You’re stuck.” Usually that’s the case, but it definitely felt like Melissa was dumped by Teresa from Season 3 until Season 7.
During a game, Margaret’s mom copped to having sex in a cemetery and admitted that she had a sex dream about Spock from Star Trek. This woman is hysterical and I’m all about it.
Instead of ending the episode on that fun note, a fan asked Margaret, “Do you think Teresa needs to be more strict with her girls?” Margaret shared, “No, I don’t think so. You know what, they’re all fun. They’re a great, fun family. The girls are fun. Everyone’s great. Her girls are fabulous.” Yes they are. Plus it’s expected that their most extreme moments have made into the episodes so it’s some bull shit to judge Teresa as parent based on a scene or two with her preteen daughters talking back to her.

Danielle Staub Says She Wasn’t A Villain Her First 2 Seasons On RHONJ; Shades Kim D & Refers To Her As “An Extra”
If you think about it, the Real Housewives franchise is a lot like Survivor. Obviously, the Housewives are a lot more glamorous, but it is definitely difficult sticking around in the tribe on both shows.
Danielle Staub discussed Real Housewives of New Jersey in relation to this season of Survivor in a recent panel.
During the PeopleTV‘s Facebook live segment called Fan Forum: Survivor, Danielle was asked if it was “awkward fighting on camera.” The Housewife admitted, “I usually just take the fifth, sit back, and just keep repeating. I play the broken record. I learned that in psychology. ‘You did say it. You did say it. You did say it.'”
Obviously, Danielle was referencing her feud with Dolores Catania over their conversation when Dolores allegedly trashed Teresa Giudice with “You did say it.” Danielle knows exactly what she’s doing when it comes to shining as a reality TV star.
Talking about the presence of cameras in her life, Danielle shared, “We’re not even aware of them anymore,” which is something that most seasoned reality stars say in interviews, but Danielle took things a step further and threw some major shade. She said, “The only time we’re aware of it is if there’s a new person, or an extra, i.e. their first initial is ‘K.’ The ‘extras’ when they get that red light special with that camera on them, they’re just gonna get their fifteen minutes. Well, we’ll give them thirty if they like it, but then you’re just still an extra, sweetheart.”
Someone with “K” as their first initial – who could that be? Of course it’s Kim DePaola aka the notorious Kim D. I would love to see these two face off. It would be an unbelievable match up.
Switching back to the Survivor talk, Danielle was asked about how she would fare on the show. She said, “I’ll cook. Just bring me the food.” When asked if she would actually play the game, she said “I would,” but quickly backtracked when she was told that they couldn’t bring makeup. Danielle insisted, “Oh no. My glam team has to come with me.”
A fan asked Danielle about being considered a “villain” during the first two seasons on the show. Danielle said, “I love that I’m called a villain, but I actually wasn’t. I was trying to run for my life constantly.” Danielle definitely stirred shit up (and I was living for it), but she was also very clearly ostracized during those first two years.
If the New Jersey cast was on Survivor, Danielle theorized, “I think the first off would have to be Siggy [Flicker]. It’s just like a rubber ball in a round room. Nothing is going to happen. It’s just all over the place.” At this point, Siggy would probably vote herself out so this probably doesn’t offend her.
Danielle added, “For the winner, I have to go with my girl Margaret Josephs. She can outwit anyone and she’s very strategical.”

Cynthia Bailey Is Hurt That Kenya Moore Didn’t Invite Her To The Wedding; Wants To Be Friends With Ex Peter Thomas
It is still so hard to believe that Kenya Moore is actually married and apparently I’m not the only one who was (and is still) shocked by the news. Kenya’s girl Cynthia Bailey was caught off guard, but she did play along when Kenya asked her to refer to Kenya’s man by “Baby” instead of his actual name – which is very reminiscent to the Big Poppa era of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
As expected, NeNe Leakes wasn’t here for that nonsense. She went out of her way asking the questions the viewers want to know about Kenya’s mysterious marriage. Kenya maintained that it was a small ceremony and she didn’t even invite her own dad to walk her down the aisle, but Kandi Burruss pointed out that there was a good amount of people in the pictures. So why wasn’t Kenya’s “best friend” Cynthia included? SMH.
Cynthia discussed the Season 8 premiere episode in her Bravo blog. She admitted, “When I first heard that Kenya eloped, I honestly didn’t believe it — I thought it was a crazy rumor!” Didn’t we all?
Cynthia continued, “I knew that she was happily involved with someone, but I assumed that if she was that happy and was running off to St. Lucia to get married, I would have gotten a phone call! Once I spoke to Kenya, and she confirmed that it was true, of course I was beyond happy for her. However, I was a little hurt that I was not invited. I would have loved to have been there to support my beautiful friend for such a momentous and special occasion.” Poor, Cynthia.
The main event of the episode was Cynthia’s birthday party. Interestingly enough, she was super sad that her ex husband Peter Thomas was unable to attend. Cynthia shared, “Peter and I are in a great place. We are officially divorced, and we are friends. Once our marriage ended, it meant a lot to me to try to maintain a friendship. I pray that we will always be loving and respectful towards each other as friends. ”
Peter missed out on the shade fest between NeNe and Porsha Williams at Cynthia’s birthday party. Cynthia wrote, “I think Nene’s and Porsha’s argument at my birthday party was uncomfortable for both of them. When they were friends, I was not friends with either of them, so I have no idea how deep and how far back their issues stem.”
I don’t know how “deep” it goes either. It just seems like Porsha is challenging NeNe‘s position as the OG in this cast and NeNe is not here for it.
Cynthia continued, “Only they know the true value of the friendship they shared. I have had my own fair share of ups and downs in my friendships amongst our circle, and I have been able to at least be cordial with all the ladies regardless of our differences. Hopefully, these ladies will make up or be able to do the same in time.”

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Growing Up Jersey
Last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giacinto Gorga broke my heart yet again when he and Teresa Giudice shared more tears over the loss of her mother, Antonia. While Teresa took her family to Puerto Rico, Joe and Melissa Gorga stayed home with theirs to attempt disciplining their emerging tween. Hormones weren’t just affecting the young, as we saw when Siggy Flicker dragged cameras to her doctor appointment to discuss the finer points of hormone replacement therapy. And Dolores Catania faced off with Margaret Josephs, proving her undying delusional loyalty to Siggy by justifying her wack-job behavior at the Gorga’s tasting party!
As Teresa packs for Puerto Rico, she tells Milania that they’ll email Joe Giudice in prison while they’re gone. Without Joe, Tre is glad she has her father to lean on. “He is my rock right now,” she admits. Meanwhile, Dolores is joining Siggy at the doctor’s office to discuss hormone treatments. In her butt. Siggy doesn’t want to be known as “Soggy” anymore, and is hoping getting her hormones balanced out will help shed her new, obnoxious image. Well, that and not sticking your tongue out at other middle-aged women, maybe? But hey – it’s a start.
Dolores is still peeved about Danielle Staub questioning her strange living arrangement with Frank, and the validity of her new “boyfriend.” But instead of focusing her rage on Danielle, Dolores attacks Teresa, whose locked-up husband is a bigger piece of work than all the Frank Sr.’s of the world put together. Siggy cautions Dolores about turning on Tre because she knows how Bravo contracts work. But Dolores feels betrayed by Teresa for her possibly believing Danielle’s accusations, so she’s not backing down.
As Marge Jr. and Marge Sr. meet in the garden to compare pigtails and dangly earrings, they discuss Siggy’s unhinged behavior at the tasting. Margaret can’t handle this so-called “motivational speaker” in her life anymore, and is pretty much done with trying to play nice with crazy people. She does, however, still hold out hope for Dolores, who seems slightly less psycho that the Sigmeister. So Margaret calls her to set up dinner, which Dolores agrees to fairly quickly. They don’t really have their own beef if you take Siggy out of the equation, but something tells me that Dolores won’t be willing to dislodge herself from Siggy’s hormone-injected derrière long enough to see the truth in this.
In PR, Teresa, her girls, and Giacinto are hanging by the pool and – in a shocking twist! – are actually using sunscreen. There’s hope for the Giudice girls’ future skin yet! Giacinto, however, is as red as a fire hydrant. OMG. Spray him down, woman!!! On the phone, Danielle updates Teresa on the drama with Dolores, which was ratcheted up after Danielle poked the bear at the tasting. Teresa is one hundred percent #TeamDanielle at this point, accusing Dolores of not being a good friend in general. So, it’s clear where her alliances are.
In the Gorga kitchen, Joe and Melissa prep dinner while their they ask little Joey about his multiple girlfriends. Little Joey looks to be all of 8 years old, incidentally. Twelve-year old Antonia is the one they’re really worried about – or, rather, who Joe is worried about. He doesn’t want her to sleep over at anyone’s house anymore because she’s at “a certain age.” No one will be getting pregnant on his watch! Melissa ponders how strange it is that Joe and Teresa grew up in the same house, considering the differences in their parenting styles and prison tendencies.
In the car, Dolores talks to Siggy, who is not pleased to hear her bestie is meeting with Margaret. She is glad not to be along, though, as she has absolutely no impulse control these days. (Please see episodes 1-5 as courtroom evidence.) At dinner, Margaret opens the conversation by asking why Dolores is upset with her? Bottom line: Dolores thinks it was unkind of Marge to call Siggy “Soggy” and to call her an “a$$kisser.”
Margaret writes off her comments about Siggy as humor, but admits that seeing her behavior recently has been…more than a little bit disturbing. At the tasting party “You don’t think she acted over the top?” asks Margaret. As if she has been lobotomized and had her brain replaced with a Stepford Siggy, Dolores says (with a straight face) that she sees “no fault” in Siggy’s behavior. It’s totally normal, people!!! Alrighty then. Duly noted.
Realizing that Dolores is drinking the Siggy flavored Kool Aid, Margaret finally gives up trying to talk sense. Instead, she tries to relate to her on a personal level. She understands Dolores’ situation with Frank might be unconventional, but she’s fine with that. Her own relationship was/is unconventional too, and has caused a fracture within her family. Two of her own children, in fact, haven’t spoken to her for six years, which Margaret says “is devastating.”
Now having her own Soggy moment, Marge breaks down in tears as she talks about her estrangement from her kids. Instantly, Dolores softens toward Margaret, agreeing that they can move past their surface issues in the name of peace. Dolores has a new understanding of Marge, and Marge even agrees she’ll try to keep her sarcastic comments to herself (about Siggy, at least) in the future. Hmm – maybe there’s hope for these two?
Back in PR, Teresa tries to entertain the kids, knowing they miss Joe. Milania tests her patience at lunch by waving fries in her face, behavior which Tre chalks up to the pain of missing her dad and grandmother. When Tre says she misses her mom too, Milania spits some real truth: “I know how it is missing your mom. You were gone too.” Wow. Instead of using this moment to connect with Milania’s feelings by admitting her own part in the painful situation, Teresa just asks if she misses her dad now too? Um, OF COURSE she does! He. Is. In. Prison.
You know, the very shallow emotional pool Teresa wades in still sometimes comes as a shock to me – and I’m not sure why? Waiting for her to admit fault or take responsibility is much like waiting for your dog to suddenly look up and start speaking English to you. It just ain’t gonna happen.
Out shopping together back in NJ, Melissa and Antonia try to choose clothes that won’t make Joe lose his mind. Melissa wonders if Antonia has crushes on any boys? She wants her daughter to open up to her more, and wants to be in on any tween-age secrets going on in her world. But Antonia is no fool! She knows Melissa will go straight back to daddy with any intel, even though Melissa swears she knows how to “manage” him. This, from the woman who can’t even manage to get information from her husband about buying restaurants. <side eye>
As we get virtual whiplash from the jigsaw editing of this episode, it’s back to PR we go! Teresa has arranged a family photo shoot, which, having done one of my own at at a resort, I can attest to being much like a family torture exercise. In the sun. For hours. With really bad beach hair and flop sweat. So – fun times! The girls are grumpy, which gives Teresa a lightbulb moment during the photo session: Melissa may be a wee bit on point with her discipline advice. “These girls are out of control,” she sighs.
In an effort to bond with Antonia, Joe takes her to one of those jump-gyms where he can show off his mad gymnast skills (that don’t even come close to Juicy Joe’s drunken splits, by the way!). After a little roughhousing, Joe takes Antonia aside to remind her he loves her more than anything in the world, and he doesn’t want her to keep secrets from them just because he’s strict. Antonia complains that he’s too strict though! Joe understands that Antonia wants to spread her wings, but his job is to protect her. Even if that includes locking her in the house. In leg irons.
Joe promises that he’ll try to loosen the reins as long as Antonia promises to be open and honest. She agrees, telling her dad she loves him more than infinity, and they seal their pact with a kiss. Aww! I am kind of crushing on these two and their super sweet daddy-daughter moment. Say what you will about Joe, but he does seem like a good father (evidenced by his kids’ love and obvious respect for him).
The freshly-pelleted a$$ of Siggy Flicker is ready to make its public debut, people! She, Michael, Dolores, and Frank meet for dinner. And I must channel my inner Danielle Staub here and ask once again: WHERE IS THIS NEW BOYFRIEND?!?!? Why is Frank acting as Dolores’ Plus One at every event – even a double date? I’m sorry, but this is either 1) totally staged, or 2) suuuuuuuper f**ked up. This makes zero sense.
Siggy is not concerned about Frank, however. She’s just wants everyone present to know how “sexual” she’s feeling these days! She’s got her groove back, and doesn’t mind sharing the good news with the entire restaurant as they all toast to hormones. When Dolores tells Siggy about her dinner conversation with Margaret, Siggy initially has no sympathy. She sees Marge as a hypocrite for showing her emotional side to Dolores, yet calling her “too emotional.”
It’s a false equivalency comparing Margaret’s tears over her estranged children to Siggy’s month-long meltdown over a smashed cake, but whatever. Finally, she does reluctantly agree that Margaret may deserve a second chance. We’ll see how willing she is to give it to her when push comes to shove, though. (Wait – Does this mean the pellets are working? It’s an early Christmas miracle, kids!)
We end the episode in PR, where Teresa and Giacinto are talking on the beach about how to raise kids. Giacinto gets honest with his daughter about parenting: She’s too easy on her girls, and it needs to stop before they are irreversibly spoiled. Teresa admits that yes, she does give into them out of guilt, knowing the pain they’ve been through over the last few years in losing their grandfather, mother, father, and finally, their grandmother, in rapid succession.
Man. Hearing it all laid out like that does make my heart ache for these kids, who are innocent in their parents’ shady schemes. It’s actually a wonder they function at all, considering their pain is broadcast across TV screens to boot.
As they both cry over missing Antonia Sr., Teresa and her father comfort each other as best they can. Tre resents losing time with her mom while she was in prison. And seeing her dad cry breaks her heart even more. She also resents Joe for not “being on top of things” more with their businesses, essentially blaming him for their crimes. “He better be a changed man,” warns Tre of her jailbird hubby.
Well, as of yesterday, he’s at least a “transferred” man. Joe is apparently moving to another prison (in PA) so he can re-enter alcohol counseling, a promising move for his health and, possibly, his early release. Now, as for that little matter of deportation…

Survivor: HHH Episode 7 Recap: Battle Lines Have Been Drawn
The merge episode is always one of the most exciting, pivotal moments of each and every season of Survivor. Quite often, it sends the game down a path that can be traced right back to it. With just 12 players left heading into Wednesday night’s episode, we were down to five Healers, four Heroes and three Hustlers, all of whom were still alive and vying for that million dollar prize. But battle lines were definitely drawn during Episode 7, and it resulted in what was a pretty shocking and eventful Tribal Council.
Please remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 7 of Survivor: HHH, so if you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add too that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap, and is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.
CLICK THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON FOR MORE, AND THIS IS YOUR LAST *SPOILER* WARNING!
Things are ramping up, right? There was a lot going on tonight as all 12 players found themselves scrambling and re-assessing their position in the game following the big merge. It basically came down to old Tribal lines, as ultimately the Heroes and Hustlers banded together to vote out one of the Healers, just like Ryan and company had wanted. There was a bit of wavering in there, mainly from Ben, but it appears as if he’s now made his bed. Lauren too, ended up in the majority, even after we saw her run to Healer Dr. Mike early on in the episode with intel from what ended up being her actual alliance. So where do things go from here, and what exactly led us to Jessica getting voted out?
This week’s episode laid the groundwork for what’s to come, but we continue to receive a strong strategic story-line with Chrissy and Ryan. Bonded forever, apparently, from the Super Idol gifting that occurred during Episode 1, these two continue to have things go their way and were shown as pulling the strings on the Jessica vote tonight as well. It was Chrissy who was shown suggesting that they have a back-up plan, in case they got the vibe that Joe was untouchable (should he play a hidden Idol, which he did). It was Ryan who was shown harping on the master plan, for the remaining Hustlers to join forces with the remaining Heroes to take out the majority Healers. Both players look to now have the game in their hands, if they can just navigate the waters long enough.
Jessica of course, was ultimately done in by her close approximation to her show-mance, Cole. The two were inseparable, yes, but a few episodes back we saw that Jessica realized that Cole might not be good for her game, only to change her tune the very next episode. Much like Figgy a few seasons ago, Jessica basically sacrificed her game by letting a handsome boy get in the way of things. It was a great move to target Jessica by the other side, because nobody would have anticipated that vote…and nobody did.
Cole of course, didn’t just ruin Jessica‘s game, but he continues to damage pretty much everybody he’s aligned with as well. He unbelievably blabbed their plans to Joe during the episode, continuing a pattern of just not knowing any better. He fessed up to Ben – finally – about being a hog with all the food at camp, but don’t expect his manners to improve now that Jessica is out of the game. Courtesy of next week’s preview, we already see that Cole is about to become unhinged, desperately digging for Idols and wrestling with Chrissy at camp. Cole is just too much a liability and will need to be dealt with, once Ryan and Chrissy feel like they really have the numbers on their side.
What will be interesting to watch moving forward will be how Lauren fits in to the game’s master plan. She appears loyal to her old Hustler buddies Devon and Ryan, but also has bonded with Ben who is of course in with the Heroes. But we also saw her prancing across enemy lines when she confided some secrets in Dr. Mike. She is playing a lot of angles and is the sort of player that may slip under-the-radar…if only she wasn’t aligned with the cunning Chrissy and Ryan. My guess is that Lauren is going to need to flip on these two – and soon – before she herself gets got.
Episode Take-Away: Now that the “battle lines have been drawn” so to speak, it appears that Joe and Cole are in serious trouble. Joe made a bold move tonight in not only showing his Idol at Tribal, but in playing it. But I say kudos to him for the effort. Joe could have very easily went home, and there’s no way a player as aggressive as Joe would ever chance going home with an Idol in his pocket. Had he somehow had a hunch to play it on Jessica, people would be applauding the move as an all-time great strategic play, so just because it didn’t work out doesn’t mean it wasn’t a solid move.
But what’s done is done, and now an Idol-less Joe and Cole will need to somehow figure out a way to stay in the game long enough until the others start picking one another off. Of the four remaining Healers, I think Desi and Dr. Mike are probably not going to be targeted right away, that is unless Desi wins another Immunity Challenge, at which point she could become a target just based on her physicality. Chrissy and Ryan really seem insulated right now, but Chrissy did receive five votes tonight, which means that everybody in this game is pretty aware of how big of a bad-ass she is. But being closely aligned with Ryan, Ben and JP, it’s unlikely anybody is going to be able to take another stab at her anytime soon. If I had to place a wager, I’d say either Joe or Cole are gone next, but there is still a lot of game left to be played…as Probst so brilliantly said at the end of the episode: “It’s not about who goes home, it’s about who survives and the new lines that are drawn.”
Voted out this week: Jessica
Won Immunity: Desi
Vote: Joe played an Idol on himself. 7 – Jessica (Ryan, Devon, Chrissy, Lauren, Ben, Ashley, JP), 5 – Chrissy (Joe, Mike, Cole, Jessica, Desi)
Next Week’s Episode: Things get real, as in real physical, when Cole is shown wrestling with Chrissy as he frantically digs for what appears to be an Idol. Should he come up with one, and if he or Joe could win Immunity? The game may just get even more interesting.
